My boiler's heat exchanger started leaking gas into the house. I called Northeast and they had a technician at my house the next day to diagnose the problem. He immediately knew what the issue was. He then contacted Navien and was able to get them to warranty the bad parts and send new parts within the week. The tech completely disassembled the boiler and replaced the bad parts in 3 hours and updated some of the plumbing that was installed incorrectly by the previous home owner. The skill, speed and professionalism that the tech displayed gained Northeast a new customer. I have already recommended Northeast to multiple people. You don't see this kind of work ethic and professionalism with most companies. These guys are one of the good ones.

Absolutely disgusted. We had a furnace failure. The tech came out to diagnose the problem, which turned out to be bad electronics. After not being able to repair the problem on the first day, we waiting another two days with no heat for another tech to show up and have the same diagnoses and not have parts available to service their equipment. Parts had to be overnighted. Day 4 of no heat. Parts arrived and the furnace was repaired. The furnace is only 7 years old and still under warranty, yet we were hit with a “labor” bill of over $1200. This is bad business. Making a customer wait 4 days with no heat, because they don’t stock service parts for the equipment they install is ridiculous. Then to have the nerve to charge such and absurd labor charge on top of it is insulting. The techs were nice guys, but the company practices are misleading. I’ll never do business with them again.

My mother has been a customer with them for 30 years. She paid almost 500 dollars for a new ignitor and install. They charged 240 dollars for a part that doesn’t cost more than 20-50 dollars. 56 days later the brand new ignitor failed. They immediately tried to charge my senior mom another 240 dollars for the same exact part they just replaced. Upon calling they told us they don’t warranty any parts past 30 days and they were going to force my mother to pay. They finally came back and said theyre going to drop the price to 110 dollars and the lady started yelling at my mother about how they have to pay their workers the labor fee. What a scam. Put in a faulty part and make a senior citizen repay for the same just they just did 50 something days prior. 30 year customer and will never give them business again and I advice anyone to look elsewhere. The original owner who my family knows personally sold the company and it’s clearly become some kind of scam. Even the installer couldn’t believe they were making my mom pay.

When I purchased my current home in 2020 I was alerted by my homes inspector about the HVAC system. I was advised it was at the end of its life expectancy (30yo), the furnace and A/C were too oversized and that they were operating poorly. After a couple years of minor repairs my wife said enough was enough as we headed towards another winter. So, I got 5 separate quotes from local companies with comparable equipment. 3 of the 5 companies silently looked at my existing equipment before jumping on a laptop to run calculations, and selected similar sized furnace and AC for their proposals. Only 2 companies looked at the current equipment, measured the space available to install the furnace before knowing and stating the system was oversized For the sq ft of my home off the top of their head. Steve Dicaprio with northeastern was one of the two who truly knew what he was talking about. I told him I was looking for a high efficiency duel fuel heat pump/natural gas furnace. He remeasured the closet my current HVAC system and stated it would be a tight fit but he could make it work. He recommended a Bosch system with a Bosch thermostat. I told him I was getting quotes for a replacement in the late fall. I should also mention he came to my house at 5pm on a Friday as it was the only day I had open for the week. He left with a smile and a hand shake and promptly sent me an emailed proposal. No pushy sales tactics at my house, no follow up emails in the three months after the quote , just good factual information and an excellent knowledge of products and residential HVAC installations. After researching equipment recommendations and comparing quotes , Northeastern was offering the best equipment with the best price - without any “limited time discounts” other companies were presenting. I emailed Steve to go forward with signing a contract, financing (18m @ 0%) and installation. I was advised it would be a two day job all said and done. Two weeks later Steve arrived early with his crew and began removal and installation. His crew was professional looking, polite and kept their workspace clean and didn’t mind my children running past them at times. They stayed until after 5pm the first day to make sure I had heat for the night. I was notified they had to replace and change the PVC exhaust and its location as the original one was not glue at all, and was showing signs of leaking. Steve didn’t charge for the extra work even though it wasn’t on the proposal , and he did so for our safety. The next install day they again arrived early, and were quietly getting the heat pump out of the truck and tools together before I opened the door and welcomed them back into my home. They again stayed past 5 doing different test runs of the furnace, the heat pump, setting the switchover temps, and then doing an in depth walk through explaining the new thermostat, the controls and set points, filter access and replacement. A week later and I never imagined how happy I would be from a HVAC system and paying that expense. My heat now turns on and off silently, and my house has never been warmer. I’ll update with results of the Bosch heat pump’s performance in the summer and it’s ability to cool and dehumidify. I could not have asked for more out of Steve and his crew and am truly thankful for their good work. Their install was neat , properly duct sealed , and very detail oriented. Their line set was clean, and their braising was good and they used nitrogen in the line set (sorry for spying on you Steve !) I highly recommend Steve and his crew.

After the shock of a very cold shower and finding my hot water tank leaking, I knew I needed repair, so I called Steve DiCaprio of Northeast, who immediately returned my call. Very soon after our discussion I received a quote, an assurance that the tank I needed was in stock and an appointment for the very next business day. Installation was efficient, thorough and the technicians were very respectful of my property. Even though Northeast's name may not reflect that they replace water heaters, they do, along with providing many other services. I would never call any other firm!

I have used this company since 1992. They are very reasonably priced and have always done a very good job at my homes. Kevin the Manager had ordered the wrong size H/W tank and searched most of his day until he found one within code to install, same day. Everyone in the office & the technicians have always been very nice & prompt. Clean up afterward pretty good too. I would recommend for replacing baseboard radiators to make sure you see what they offer in person if style is important to you. And to be sure if they are removing old ones make sure your there to see & vacuum the edges to your satisfaction before they install the new ones. Kevin also takes the time to measure many locations in the areas where they may install any system. He also searches for the best systems to meet or exceed your home's needs. I recommend this company.

They charged $99 for a furnace ignitor. Later I checked online, the parts should not cost more that $30 to $40. I will look for another company next time.

I am giving them 5 stars because I cant give 10! Friendly front end staff that listened to my tale of woe about the house we are renting out that had no hot water or heat. She shoe horned me in at the end of the day and a very knowledgeable and friendly man came out and solved our problem with two small pieces when we were bracing ourselves to buy a new water heater and/or boiler! Love, Love LOVE these people! Check them out!!

Terrible customer service, unqualified technicians. Had to get another company (Appolo) to finish the job. Appolo was great, their tech spent 3 hours making sure the job was done right.

I spoke with the service department on a very cold busy Saturday with a complex issue with my tankless hot water heater. I was informed that they had a tech who was highly trained in trouble shooting and fixing my unit and could be to my home later that day. They showed up same day and fixed my heat right before I had to leave for a business trip to Florida. thank you Northeast!
