I was passing through Albany when my vehicle starting misfiring. They were forward about pricing, only charged the necessary labor for diagnosis, and were friendly my entire visit.

My daughters Kia engine blew up in Albany, 4 hours from her home. She had it towed to a dealership who wasnt very accommodating with her situation. I called Albany Auto from my home in florida and worked out a plan to get the car to their shop where they sourced and put a used engine in it. The guys at the shop were awesome to deal with, me being 1500 miles away and my daughter living in Rhode Island. This couldnt have been a very expensive task but AAS made it simple and easy. I really thought I was going to have fly up to New York in January. But didnt. ;} Thank you

Dropped my car off Thursday night had an appointment for Friday for them to do work on my car called Friday they told me we ll give you an update Monday went there Monday didn t touch my car was told will give you an update later that day never bothered to call me called today which is Tuesday kid on the phone sound annoyed when I asked for an update so came and got the car. Nobody even bothered to work on my car and I had an appointment for Friday. Don t recommend the shop, not even professional enough to be honest with their customers

Had a great experience here with the owner, very personable. They had caught mistakes from the work I had done on my vehicle previously. I will be returning for any vehicle work and maintenance I need in the future.

I called ahead to see when I could get an inspection and Keehan and I settled on Friday afternoon. When pulling up I was a little nervous about how long it would take with the number of cars he had in the lot, but true to his word he got me in and out in about an hour; I was very pleased. As a registered CarMax repair shop I look forward to working with Keehan in the future.

This place is a joke. The owner took on a job of replacing the motor in my husbands truck that he had no business doing. The truck sat for 8 months not being fixed. If you dont know what your then dont say you do.i dont even rate the place 1 star but in order to give review I had to.

I had a great experience! I had to get new tires for my truck and I needed them fast! They squeezed me in and I was on my way. Everyone was very professional and straight to the point. Highly recommend!

This place, the staff and the work has been absolutely amazing! My partner and I are road tripping through the states and had some quick issues with our truck. We called here and explained our situation with the truck and not wanting to take too much time out of our trip and they were able to take us in the next day as they were closing that day. Keehan was phenomenal to work with, was incredibly understanding and helped us quickly. Highly recommend!! EDITED UPDATE: my partner and I hit New York City and my partner curiously tried the cruise control (which stopped working and mechanics later saying that he had to go to Ford directly to get it fixed) just started working again! So not only did they fix our known issue, but happened to fix something else too!

Best place for reliable service

As a woman I worry about being taken advantage of at the mechanics. Keehan and his staff made me feel very comfortable, he explained things in easy to understand terms, and made recommendations without any pressure at all. Brought my car in for a check engine light issue. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly, and at a good price. Excellent customer service as well. Would def recomend this repair shop.

On 07/15/2024 I went back to have my vehicle looked at bc I noticed a drip on the engine oil filter (I wiped it down and drove it but noticed another drip so I assumed one of the possible issues is that the filter mustve not been tightened enough). The owner wasnt there but I was told his brother or uncle (I forgot the exact relation) was. He was the one who did the transmission fluid change when I had that incident. I was skeptical bc even though it was stated to me that the fluid level was checked a couple of days after the incident, the owner was gone for a minute or two (there is a window so we can see the work being done on our vehicles) and since my car has a sealed transmission and it wasnt placed on the lift, it wouldnt be that quick. He saw that I was hesitant and he checked it in front of me and I timed it. It took him several minutes and he struggled to not only get the tool attached, to also get out from under my vehicle (his gut was in the way). Plus, when I looked prior to him unsealing it, it didnt have any oil residue but afterwards it did. He told me he checks the levels by placing his finger in there so when he did he made a noise that told me he shouldve put in more fluid. Now fast forward to the date above, the family member went on (not aggressive but I noticed he lied) about being a mechanic for a while and something about not liking people thinks he is a liar. It was told to me by the owner that they did a top off but the family member told me there was no fluid and it needed a full change. Then he later stated if I need more fluid he still has some of mine left. When he checked, this time it was placed on the lift, he stated the level is fine and there are no leaks. I noticed my skid plate was missing a few screws and told him, he became defensive and said it was like that although I know it wasnt and said in a nonchalant way that he has extra but he is working on a car that needs to be done on time or by are certain time and I can come back later so I said I can put them on myself and he shook his head and said something I couldnt hear so I left. That conversation didnt sit well with me so I made an appointment with my dealership. A day or two after it felt as if my vehicle was struggling so the day of my appointment I explained how my vehicle was driving (slow acceleration, low rpms and if they can check for leaks). They looked at it and I was told the fluid was low (but no leaks) so I had to pay for another fluid change. Luckily I dont drive my car far so it made it until the appointment. Had I not paid attention to what was said to me and what they were doing or not doing with my vehicle, I wouldve had a failed transmission. Im a young woman who is living in her car for now, I want to make sure my car is safe and avoid costly repairs which is why I get preventative maintenance done. Mechanics should be held to a much higher degree since their work or lack of can cost people their lives. Scamming people and putting them at risk will always come back around. Beware the people you trust with your vehicle. I know its more money but until you can find a trustworthy mechanic, its best to take it to your dealership. Best of luck.

Fantastic auto repair shop, Keehan and his team are upstanding, honest skilled mechanics who routinely go above and beyond to ensure they get the job done right. Have brought my Civic there for tire changes and inspections, finally brought it there to get the car tuned before driving across the country. They got the job done the same day, driving to pick up parts and undercharging for labor. I don t usually write reviews, but these guys are the best in the business.

Keehan is great to work with. It was a nightmare dealing with my car issues (maxcare), but Keehan was always super friendly and showed care in addressing the issues. Many issues that I have experienced were complicated and not Keehan s fault. Keehan did his best to remedy every issue and provide the upmost care for my vehicle. This man is very hardworking and honest. I would recommend him to anyone experiencing car troubles.

I called Albany Auto Service to set an appointment to get my front brakes fixed on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I spoke to Keehan and was surprised when he told me to bring it in today or tomorrow. Most places have no appointments for a week. They were busy, but he seemed to have things organized. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. They diagnosed the problem, sent me an estimate that was very fair, I approved the estimate via text on my phone, and they completed the job the same day! When I picked up the car, Keehan asked me to test drive it with him to make sure the brake pedal feel was OK with me. Everything was perfect. Thats great attention to detail! I had my car serviced there and the employees were very outgoing, personable, and friendly. They were able to bring my car right back, diagnose the problems, and send me texts step by step of their process so I could approve or deny what services I wanted done. The prices are fair and the safety net of a payment plan really saved me. I like how their motto is to get it fixed right the first time. Would recommend to friends, family, anyone who asked!

Did not have an appointment. They got me right in the same day I stopped by, dropped my car off at 11 and it was finished with the oil change by 11:30. Super friendly and easy! They also give you a card so if you get 3 oil changes, the 4th one is free and it doesn t have to be the same car. Very affordable. Would definitely recommend giving them a try!

Purchased the lifetime oil change from here today. It was a killer deal and no one could beat the deal this shop is giving. Normal oil change for my car is 140. So to pay 400 for a lifetime of the car is awesome. Chatted with the owner. He is super friendly and has well experienced people working there on the cars. Would highly recommend !!

Dropped my car off for diagnostic they did not find anything wrong with my vehicle and they did not charge me a diagnostic fee most shops still would of told me 150$ for there time definitely professional here

My Jeep wrangler was experiencing some cylinder misfires due to a bad spark plug and ignition coil, took it to Keehan and his shop did amazing work. My Jeep runs better than it ever did. Highly recommend them if you re in the Albany area!

Located right off I-90 Exit 5, its your Albany one-stop-shop to all your auto service needs. Extraordinary service: accurate, fast, and customer focused. Came here for a general inspection and an oil change. Im not an expert on car maintenance, so it was hard to describe what specifically about the car needed a look, but Keehan was able to piece it together from the limited info he got, came back with a full inspection report and recommended next steps (for free). Even took the time to look into the vehicle maintenance history to see whats been done and whats not. Very knowledgeable and courteous - love it!

We have MaxCare (a whole different story there!) and this is only one of two places within an hour of Albany that outright accepts this. We called to get information and schedule drop off. We were told straight up they may or may not be able to fix our problem but they were willing to take a look and let us know. They had the car for maybe 48 hours, but probably less given the time I dropped it off and then picked it up. Although they were ultimately unable to fix our problem their overall candor and communication is what earns them five stars from me.
