I took my truck in due to it kept saying hood open over and over again and the check engine light was on for 2 weeks straight as well as when I dropped it off to them as I got back to pick it up they said no code came up in the diagnostics they have done to it and had said the check engine light was never on I later that same day took my vehicle to Monroe and as soon as they plug into my truck a code comes up right away for a sensor as well as they were lazy and disconnected the battery to have the check engine light pop off. This business is a complete scam and rip off as well as complete liars take your vehicle else where horrible work guys 👍
My mistake was taking my car to another place because I was hearing a weird noise on the right passenger side. I was being impatient and wanted to know asap what was wrong with my car. Ended up being told I had about 6 major things were wrong with my car totaling almost $3000. Lucky for me I had a warranty for most of the things I needed repaired. I ended up going to Albany Battery for the repairs because they’ve always been good to me. I gave them the long list of repairs I was told needed to be repaired. Albany Battery told me they still needed to do their own Diagnosis. Turns out I only needed a wheel bearing. They said idk why they said that you needed all that work done but we are honest over here. Thank you for always being honest.

All I can say is wow most awful experience I've encountered. Took my truck in for brakes, front- back +break controller $2000.00 and a month later finally get truck back with no brake controller.#stayaway#
Picked up a customer who broke down on I90 and did not know who to call. I called Albany Battery and they took the customers car eight in. Every other garage I called said they were over booked. This is a great garage to deal with.
By far, one of the BEST places to come to have your car serviced. Adam and Joe are AMAZING. I have always been treated with nothing but Total Professional conduct from the entire staff at Albany Battery. I will be a continued customer of theirs.
DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE. Owner, Adam, is a crook. Spent almost 3 weeks on my Audi S3 for an ALIGNMENT. Car arrived with NO PULL and steering wheel just off center to the right; left worse than when it went in, after THREE ATTEMPTS, now steering wheel is off to the LEFT and the car noticeably PULLS to the RIGHT. Additionally, they screwed up something that caused two additional warning messages for adaptive headlights and suspension which will be very costly to fix and diagnose. The shop refused to take responsibility for these warning messages, continually claimed alignment was sound when it was anything but and refused to issue a refund. How it takes you 3 attempts over a period of almost THREE WEEKS and you can claim you aligned a car properly when it leaves WORSE THAN WHEN YOU RECEIVED IT, I have no idea. Did not note vehicle mileage received vs. Picked up on invoice, did not record VIN of vehicle on invoice, did not mention any unusual warning lights on invoice, and did not offer to remedy any of the issues or provide any refund whatsoever. Absolutely unacceptable levels of dishonesty and unprofessionalism. They should be shut down. Will be leaving a review with BBB as well.
I've been here several times and always satisfied. They are straight and honest. They were able to fix issues that others refused or overpriced. Thanks for everything I'll definitely be back!

I used to bring all my cars here, even recommended all my co workers and friends to do business here and never had a issue. I recently took my car there after it was involved in an accident and they didn t do half the work listed on the receipt after they had it for 30 days. I brought the car back on several occasions and they would keep the car there for days and return it with the same issues. I m just trying to understand why. If you have any issues with your AC do NOT bring your car here. Save yourself the headache.

Hey look at it like this, you will spend twice as much at the dealer. it will still be cheaper than spending the same amount of if not more with these scammers. Stick with your dealer. If you go in for one thing and come out with 1 to 3 other problems? Don t say I didn t warn you.

DONT GO HERE. Scammers. They Sell junk cars that nickel and dime you. Their repairs are all hack jobs that wont last. Save your money.

Never again they rob me blind when I go for one thing I come out something else wrong then have to also bring it back for the same issue that they didnt fix the first time and they make me pay again this time I refused I paid $400 for wires and my front headlight to be fixed yes thats what I said it dont cost that much but I got to get to work not even 2 month later trooper pull me over on highway say my light out gave me some time to get it fix I took it back that witch gonna tell me I got to pay again to have it fix not the only one of dark skin and a woman complained of this place
Adam, the owner and his staff always take very good care of me, I have a few company vehicles and such and Im always using batteries that need to be replaced, their batteries are always fresh and priced fair, service is great and theyre always great people!
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! THEY OVERCHARGED ME!!! I arrived at about 12:10 pm. One person was in front of me. I talked with the receptionist when its my turn about the issues with my car, trying to figure out what may be the problem. She had me fill out a form. While filling it out off to the side, 2 customers came in to talk about their cars. Once it was finally my turn I gave her back the form and left at about 12:30. They called me at 1:33 to tell me what needed to be fixed. They called me back at 1:45 with the quoted cost of the repairs and asked what repairs I wanted to do. They quoted me a little over $300 for rear brakes and a little over $700 for front struts. The total came to under $1050. I authorized the brakes. I called back at 2:20 after doing some research and authorized the struts. They call me at 4:47 to say the car is ready. She tells me the total is $1,157.76 when I arrive. Wed perviously talked about an alignment might being necessary after the replacement of the struts so I assumed this was the added cost. I pay the bill and she hands over the invoice a few minutes later. As Im waiting for my car to be pulled up I noticed on the invoice that I was there was no alignment preformed and they charged me 5.5 hrs of labor. My car wasnt seen until around 1pm. They didnt get authorization to fix the brakes until after 1:45 and after 2:20 to replace the struts. I was in the office waiting for my car to be pulled up front a little after 5pm. How can they charge me 5.5 hrs of labor when at most they only did 4 hrs including the time it took to diagnose the issue? 5.5 hrs havent even passed since theyve had my car. When I bring this issue up to the receptionist she claims that we got there at 12pm and they started the paperwork then and thus thats when labor was started. The receptionist did no physical labor on my car as far as I know so her labor is not my expense. They werent even authorized to do any labor on my car until after 1:45pm. So they overcharged me at least 1.5 hrs of labor resulting in me paying an extra $135. Please dont go here if you want to pay a fair price for services. If you like to be ripped off this is the place for you.

My experience was wonderful, I needed a new battery and I was in an out in less than 15 minutes without an appointment. Service was excellent and the price was right. I highly recommend this place.

Albany battery and Adam are very very good and professional at what they do I m very very picky about my mechanics but since I found Albany battery ADAMS done an outstanding job taking care of my work vehicle on my trucks vehicle there quick and prompt with your repairs and they communicate the issues and try to work forward with repairs so the budget doesn t get busted but anyways very very good mechanics I will always recommend these guys to my friends

Albany Battery is amazing! My van had failed inspection and was quoted 1800 for repairs in order to pass. I took my van to Albany Battery and was told I actually passed inspection and was trying to be sold extra parts. I will continue to go back from now on.

Used to get all my batteries from here, Ive only had one issue with a battery, not holding a charge, and taking a charge. After testing it with a midtronics battery tester and a snap on battery tester ( both in and out of the car) it came back as having bad cells in the battery, when trying to warranty the battery for an exchange, they claimed that it was at 100% and refused to warranty the battery with a new one. Battery was only 6 months old, with a 5 year warranty. Will no longer be doing my business with them. What a shame they dont take care of their customers for warranty related issues.

HORRIBLE ! They placed glue on a mirror cap instead of installing it Properly. The mirror cap fell off while driving had to buy another one and that mirror cap could not be placed on due to the caked up glue used for no reason at all! This place couldn t even complete a mirror cap correctly! There is glue stuck to side of my car running from the mirror. I will never trust my car with these people ever again! They couldn t even do a mirror right. rush a job for a quick couple of dollars. The place is terrible!

Quality mechanics, reasonable prices
They are smiles at first but lots of false promises. Rusty cars are priced at or above full edmonds retail with $1000s in problems, that may not be apparent on a 5 mile test drive. Full dealer retail price usually means mechanical/emissions are fully addressed. Not talking about heated seats or radio not working either. State inspection dont mean anything either, cars can also pass inspection with expensive problems like bad rear ends or head gaskets. Officially there is no NYS warranty for a car over 10 years. So, technically, their cars are as is, even though they may say otherwise. If such a car is in questionable shape, usually those are $1000-$1500 CL cars and there is an understanding there will be problems. Nothing is negotiable, poor communication, beyond brakes and maintenance they cant help, even if they say they could. If it rolls is good. If you like the car and dont mind putting some money into it go for it. Some of their cars may a bit unique to some people. Not saying you cant get lucky here but dont expect much help. They seem to be pretty good for basic repairs though.

They Misdiagnosed which was not needed in the first place because the issue was their battery dying, but they charged 160 to look at the issue which it just needed a new battery, but gave me a weeks worth of time or more when they could have replaced the battery, which was under warranty by them already. They still pocketed the 160 realizing, through process of elimination that it was their bad battery to begin with. Horrible Horrible experience. Just expect your money back if they did something wrong. I really dont write reviews. This just reveals the severity of wrongdoing they have done.
