Ed helped us out when no other shop would, getting our Honda Odyssey back up and running quickly while on a road trip. Ed is very friendly, quick to call you back, and seems to genuinely want to help people, a rare thing in this world! He even offered me a ride to pick my car up. I'd bring my car back to Ed again, thank you!
I bought a used 2011 Chevy Cruz that needed extensive work. Ed was extremely honest about the necessary work required. He is a mastermind, fixed everything quickly, and saved me A TON of money compared to competitor quotes. I won't take my car anywhere else.
During one of the coldest weeks of this winter, the heat in one of our service vans completely stopped working. We contacted EDK, brought the van over, they evaluated the problem and ordered the parts needed. They were also kind enough to squeeze us in to fix the problem the Next day when the parts arrived!! (We had initially contacted the Ford dealership where we recently purchased the "warrantied" van and they couldn't give us an appointment for 3+ weeks!?!) Thank you for the Excellent customer service and Honest/ Quick repair, Ed and Eddie. You are our mechanics from now on and we would highly recommend you to anyone!!
Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone!! Always Honest, Fairly priced, and Reliable. Unlike other mechanics who always try to oversell repairs and tend to keep our car(s) longer than anticipated. We’ve never experienced this at EDK. Our repairs have always been completed as discussed/expected and in the time frame quoted. All of our family cars are serviced here. We wouldn’t go anywhere else! Keep up the Great work!!
My daughter lives and attends college in Albany, several hours away from us. When her car needed service a friend of hers recommended EDK. This was the best recommendation ever! EDK provides excellent and comprehensive auto care at a fair price. They not only care for the car, they care for the owner too! Ed cared for my daughter like one of his own, gave her a lift when she needed it, making sure she was safe. Recently the transmission failed on her car. His recommendation was to take it to the local dealer even though the warranty had expired as he thought the manufacturer still may cover some or all of the cost of replacement. He was right! Saved me a bundle! Did they charge for their diagnosis? No, they want to do the right thing for the customer and their car. I wish I lived closer to EDK, they would get all of my families business! You can’t go wrong with EDK. 10 stars +++++
Ed is by far the best there is. I have been using him for a few years now for anything my car needs and it always gets fixed properly. When I tell you I have called him from other states in a panic he ALWAYS calms me down and talks me thru so I can get home safely and will even take the time to call me back just to make sure I'm good.....what other mechanic does that. If you need an awesome reliable mechanic look no further than EDK.

Ed and his crew were kind enough to help us on the day after Thanksgiving. when we were visiting from out of town. While the problem ended up being easy to solve, Ed said he would make sure to do whatever was needed to get us back on the road for our trip home. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very honest.

We have been going to EDK for their honest work and quality repairs for years. They diagnose what is going on with my car and fix it quickly. One instance, we were getting a bad vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. The dealer wanted to sell us a new set of tires ($1000). EDK showed me we had more than 60% treadwear left, and just a wheel weight fell off. EDK rebalanced the one wheel and it drove fine. Can t thank EDK enough!

Honest, Cost Effective, Time Efficient, Professional and Experienced Mechanic. I would recommend this Auto Shop to all, as to my experience.Mr. Ed and his son are very honest, they give me the truth on what is the real issue of my vehicle and giving it free of charge for diagnosis. While labor and parts cost are acceptable, which is the cheapest among all and compare to the other shops. They have done the procedure in a timely manner.

Just moved to Albany and was looking for new mechanic. These guys were honest and reliable. The original part was outlandishly expensive. They put in extra effort to find and modify and aftermarket part which saved me a lot of money. They communicated every step of the way. They also completed the job in a very time efficient manner.
We are from out of state and Ed was recoy to us. He fit us right in, took the time to explain the issue, search for best part deal and fix it right away. Freindly, helpful, fantastic! IvwoI w highly recommend him.
I own a 2007 Acura MDX and most recently, since it hit 200,000 miles, it has been giving me problems. At first the battery kept dying and no one could seem to find the issue, but when I brought it to EDK they found the problem and fixed it. Ive also got my brakes fixed here and the prices are very fair. I wouldnt trust any one else with my car!!
Best mechanic in Albany, Ed does quality works and tries to save you as much money as possible. I recommend him and his son very highly.
I had my 91 Honda Accord Ex Coupe towed to Eds shop, because the car wouldnt start even with a jump. I thought it would be an alternator issue, but Ed diagnosed the issue as a loose timing belt failing to charge the battery. He had me back on the road the same day. His service and demeanor are impeccable, and his price was super fair. I would definitely take my car back to him...honest mechanics are hard to find!
Everything you want in a mechanic is found at EDK, great customer service, HONESTY, and great workmanship. I highly recommend Ed and staff. Ive bee a customer for at least 4 years. I refer this shop every chance I get. You will not be disappointed.
Ed is a very nice and fair guy! And has done great work, even drove myself back to work after dropping the car off as I work local. Recommended to my coworker for car issues and he did the same for her. Our office and my family uses Ed for our car problems.
Ed is the master of tune-ups, my car always runs like new after a visit to EDK.
As an out of state student I took my Volvo wagon here on the recommendation of another Volvo driver. I explained the symptoms and what I believed to be wrong with the car. I ended up leaving my car with them for a day. Ed was completely honest with me and told me it was likely the weather that had caused my car to act up. He also advised me to have my mechanic back home take a look at something in the future, but that it was not of urgent concern. Due to the manner in which he handled the situation I believe Ed is truly an honest mechanic and I would take my car to him again.
Excellent service, fairly priced, and best of all: an honest mechanic! Ive taken my old car there for over a year for quite a few repairs, and now I wont go anywhere else. Theres no up-selling, no pressure, no scams; just good, honest recommendations for whats best for your car. The pro/cons mentioned by one of the others reviews is completely accurate. Ed is very personable, works hard, and offers good advice. The ambiance is basically stereotypical for an automotive shop.
