Typical shady business. I have to take them to small claims court b/c they dont want to stick by their warranty for their alternator. The alternator died 8 months after I got it. They offered to fix it, but I said it was taken care of, I want a reimbursement. Ali said no. I wouldnt let Jamalaye auto care fix it anything on my car after last time. My car radio was broken by them and my car was broken into and ransacked while in their care. They know about the break ins too. Super unprofessional

I was thinking about to take my car for alignment, but I m good. A lot of negative reviews. They need to step up their games.

Upon entering for inspection, I had anticipated spending $30, possibly even up to 40 to be nice . However, the individual subsequently added a diagnostic fee, which was part of the inspection process itself, and if it fails, well, take the inspection fee and call it a day . However, he also included an extra fee that ultimately ended up necessitating payment of $80 for an inspection procedure that is rather frustrating. Its understandable that they have to conduct business, but its concerning when unnecessary additions are made that do not service its purpose. Dishonesty is not doing buisness.

This shop couldn t preform the inspection they claimed they could perform, instead they attempted to replace the tires but then without notice didn t replace the tires. The DID misalign the wheels and cause considerable disrepair to the vehicle. This is essentially retaliation by the shop due to their miscommunication of the services they re both able to perform and intended to perform. Very sketchy, certainly dishonest.

This Auto shop doesnt even deserves stars. Not even one star. My mom paid this man (Ali) 5gs for a car n she went threw 3 of his lemon cars in less then 1 year. By lemon I mean broken and crashed cars. The last one the transmission went out and ALI said by Monday hell have work done. Came Monday he charged her $1,000 to get it fixed. This man is a big scammer. Hell sell you lemons. He doesnt fix the issues in the car. He makes it worst n over charges u. His Mechanics dont know what theyre doing. This is by far the worst auto shop EVER. IF I CAN MAKE A PETITION TO SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN I WILL N ILL HAVE ALOT OF SIGNERS. HE IS A THIEF A LIAR AND A SCAMMER. I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR CAR PROBLEMS IF YOU WANNA KEEP YOUR CAR GOING. Youll regret trusting this Auto shop for repairs.

the worst auto shop, gave us estimate and after repair the price was very higher then estimate, they parked my car on the street and got parking ticket but didn t pay for it. the worst costumer service, please please do yourself a favor and do not take your car here

Do not come here. My car floors were flooding due to clogged storm drains from roof window so I brought it here out of desperation. They never called me to tell me how much it was going to cost/what was wrong with it. I had to call and they told me it was finished. When I went to pick it up they told me the drivers side door was not working even though it was perfectly fine when I dropped it off. When I brought home, the alarm started randomly going off over and over again. I brought it back to share my concerns and they were super dismissive and blamed me for the issue. Now my car wont turn on. So I brought my car to get fixed for it to only be given back to me in a worse condition and now have to take it to another mechanic.

I dont understand how this place has 5 stars, they took more than a week to fix and inspect my car. Everytime I called and asked about my car, they lied and said they were going to get to it that day and never did. When I called and said I was coming to get my car, they lied and said they already started it.

I dont recommend anyone to go to them to get auto care done I feel like they made more problems on my car I wasted thousands with them!!

We took our Honda rigdeline here and they kept asking us to pay for one issue or the other . It s been over 4 months . First it was the timing belt , we paid for that , then the car wouldn t move and they told us it was the oxygen sensor , we paid for that as well . Then the mechanic said it was the engine , we paid $2500 for that ! And the truck still wouldn t move . Now the mechanic is saying we have to pay $3800 to change something else ! Unbelievable! The truck was misdiagnosed and instead of admitting they can t fix it , they kept asking for more money . The day we went to tow it , we met 3 people there very upset and yelling about their cars being misdiagnosed after they have paid so much . Obviously this repair shop is a scam . Definitely going to sue them . Avoid them if you don t want to get scammed

Took my car in for an oil change and tire repair this morning. It was incredibly easy to schedule an appointment, and I enjoyed the no nonsense flow of the shop. The owner seems organized and efficient, I appreciated the timely manner in which he changed the oil as well as patched my tire. Nothing was up-sold and I felt comfortable asking questions. At a fair price and right down the road, I think I will be bringing my car here from now on and recommending family and friends do the same! Thanks Jamalaye

Needed a quick fix was bumped in (Sorry whoever) but they finished the person ahead of me before I was taken care of in out no less then 25 mins. How do I know cause you can see them doing it. I even asked to see the bottom of the car and i was swept in for a small tour of my car. Excellent, friendly and will be getting more of my business hand over fist. I dare you to prove me a wrong.

Long story short - got into an accident, got it towed here. Every time I call Ali (shop owner) he says it will be ready by Monday or it will be done by Friday. None of which were true statements but just falsified to keep your business. All replacement parts were used and not new as promised by Ali. It is now three months since I have picked up the car from them and paint is cracking and peeling in nine different spots. When I confront them about it - no touch up paint. It appears that there is only one layer of paint. No primer, not sanded underneath it. I was going to give them a two star rating solely based on their low hourly labor charge but that has since changed. Also had a set of horns replaced by them - one month later? Guess what? One of them stopped working because the terminals were not properly connected and not soldered or protected with electrical tape. The place is run by Western African immigrants and youd think that they work hard to provide for their family. That isnt the case. Most of the workers work and walk slowly. Please do not expect to see myself or any of my family/friends because you wont.

Worked on our 20052 Chevy van total destryed it oil inside truck spent 700 wifey was hit with keys from owner had to spend 1500 more at DePaula Chevrolet to fix there mess absolutely terrible....bottom line ..parts changers they have no clue

Avoid this place at all cost! Maybe I was just one of the unlucky customers but I did not have luck with Jamalaye. I called on a Friday asking if I could drop my car off if they had any availability. I was told to bring it in first thing Monday morning. I did that and explained what was wrong with it. I had a leak and requested it to be fixed. I met with Ali and explained my concern with my car. I was told they would call me before they fix anything and quote me a price. After not hearing anything I called around 2:30 to check on my car. They said they didnt Have a chance to look at it and said they would look at it the next morning. I understood they could have been busy so it didnt bother me too much. On Tuesday around noon I called after not hearing anything and the guy I spoke to told me that they lost the key and requested I drop off a spare so They can look at the car... I was a bit concerned, LOST my key? My only key. They had to have a lock smith come and make me a new key. When they called me at 3:30 to let me know the key was made I told them not to look at the car. If theyre irresponsible enough to lose my car key I didnt want them anywhere near my engine! I picked my car up by 4 and dropped it off at High Tech Auto in Rensselaer. High Tech called me at 9AM the next day after looking at it and told me what was wrong with it and had it done by noon. Im still pretty frustrated that I dont have an original key for my car now. But I learned my lesson. I will never give Jamalaye my business and wouldnt recommend to anyone. It was such a waste of time.

Was told I needed a tune up so I spent $300 come to find out by 2 other sources that not only did I not need the tune up but it wasnt even done correctly. My car has been running like crap ever since Im going back to get a refund or something and it better not be a problem. I think they just do horrible work on purpose just so you can come back and spend more money. If you read this please I beg of you DONT GO TO THIS REPAIR SHOP

Never go here if you like to spend money smartly. They will tell you a bunch of bullshit and never fix your car.. ive WASTED more than 1000 dollars and my car was still so messed up and I spent all my for fixing it there so I had to sell it. BEWARE OF THE SCAMMERS

The reviews on here are quite mixed, but my sister and I had a really good experience. I think they stayed late to accommodate us. They seemed genuinely concerned about the problems our car had, but were willing to fix just what we needed for it to be safe again, because they understood that money was an issue. They even made a special trip to pick up a part we needed, even though it was late. Also, there was a very lovely kitty who kept us company while we waited.

Yeah I dont know what those people are talking about that wrote good reviews. I read them before I took my car to this guy and I should have listened to the one bad review!!!! This guy does a piss poor and and is very dishonest. I took my car for a radiator and thermostat replacement. It was not cheaper there that it would have been anywhere else so forget it about any discounts. I have an old car so I just need it to run and dont care about the body but if you dont want frame damage done to your car then dont go to this place. What I am upset about is that when I picked up my car from him and drove a mile from the shop it overheated and the coolant was pouring out through the lower radiator hose. I took is back and he said the hose was already like that. He told me that he didnt even touch any of the radiator hoses. In short if you take your car to Jamalaye Auto Service you will be putting your car into the hands of a man who claims not to touch the lower radiator hose in a car when he replaces the radiator.

I was very happy with the customer service that i got and i didnt feel like i was being overcharged or adding things on i was very happy. Its very nice to find a good mechanic to be able to go to, i highly recommend jamalaye auto service.
