Not impressed with the lack of wanting to help a customer by refusing to just drive their car to see what the problem is. Infact told me nothing was wrong with my car without even looking at it. A big disappointment

Don t buy any used car from them, in real I bought car for 7k and in 3 month transmission failed and mass airflow sensor and after every time i fixed again engine light! I really want to take action about this !

100% recommended. My car broke down in Albany so I googled for a Auto Shop near by and found RA Auto Repair. Raja was such a great help to me, he fixed my car in a few hours and I was on my way home. Went to the Mall near by (be aware for the troopers) and enjoyed my time there even found a Dominican Restaurant which had really good food. Thanks again Raja!!

I had some body work and I went to my regular auto shops and I was advised to take this to body shop. I never knew any body shop auto shop but one day I was just passing by and I saw a sign board. Next day I took my car and I explained the job to Mr. John who paid attention what issue I have with broken fender and other ( body work related ). I took the car next day and Mr. John fixed all the issues I had on my car s fender and grill. Wonderful workshop to visit and it was my first experience. I will advice everyone car owners to visit this shop for body work and other, no appointment required, just go and explain and you will be in good hands. Thank you Mr. John for the wonderful body work job you did on my Corolla 2009. Appreciate and huge applause.

Broke down late on a Saturday and they replaced my battery and got me back on the road that same afternoon.

Got recommended by a friend to go to this shop to repair my AC. They were really attentive and fixed my issue really quick. Highly recommend going to them with any issues!!!

RA Auto is amazing! ALL of the staff is professional and respectful! I BEEN A LOYAL customer 20 years.

I am in college and use my families car. I needed my muffler replaced and my father can be pretty particular, however he is 3 hours away and I could not drive my car to him. Found this place online and went over to get a quote. Ended up calling him the next day and having him fix my car. The place was a small auto body shop but very friendly, patient, and helpful. They ended up doing more work than they expected and originally quoted me but did not up-charge the original quote by a lot which was great! The owner spoke with my father (who does not live here) over the phone and made him comfortable about working with him. They fixed my car the very next day after he quoted me and had it done the same day i dropped it off!

The guys at RA helped me out with a huge water leak issue with my car. From brainstorming solutions to doing work other places in town wouldnt bother with on an older car, they really saved my bacon. They were affordable, respectful, and helpful. They definitely have my business.

I took my Ford Van to the dealer and to another mid-sized mechanic and they couldnt fix the issue (and of course, still charged me through the nose for fixing it.) I took it to RA AUTO and it was fixed the same day and was like brand new! These guys know what they are doing, are ultra fast, and extremely competivively priced. I wont go anywhere else ever again!

My sunroof wouldnt close completely and I had a bit of water leaking. I took it here to get it fixed.The owner said they fixed it but they made it worse and even left it in worse condition because it is leaking more and wind is now coming in(new problem). They charged me $120 for the fix. When I went to follow up they said they couldnt fix it and refused to give me even a partial refund. So they made my problem worse and charged me for it. You also get no receipt for the work or anything. I dont recommend this mechanic:(

Extremely accommodating and super nice!

My boyfriend and I were having a problem with his car and his brakes were locking up. So I looked up online and found this place closest to where we were and they literally saved the day. They had a guy come out and tow our vehicle, then fixed everything all the while staying way late to make sure we had our vehicle back in time for us to get to work. Thank you to the gentleman at the shop! You guys are life savers!!

Nice guys but a little on the expensive side and they always give me a different price from my boyfriend (his is always cheaper) For the same exact work on the same car we just call separately so that I don t appreciate.

Very solid reliable shop been using these guys for 15 years Raja and his son know what they are doing along with the rest of the staff they work on anything foreign and domestic over the years they have worked on my Oldsmobile Hyundai Jaguar Lexus Audi 2 Lincoln s and my current Caddy and I have never had any issues with them prices are always reasonable and they are gonna tell it to you straight no bs if they feel it s smarter to go elsewhere or use the dealer they will tell you and not jack your car up they have done engine work tune ups brakes struts oil changes regular maintenance and tires they also do body work they are one of the few mom n pop shops I trust in the Albany area and have referred many people to them

THIS MAN IS THE BEST MECHANIC ON EARTH! ANY TIME I COME TO HIM HE DROPS ME HOME AND HE TAKES MY CAR TO THE SHOP THEN DROP IT RIGHT BACK OFF HE IS A VERYY GOOD MAN! Great local mechanic just off of Central Ave. Drop your car off with no worries, then take a 2 minute walk to Central Ave for a bite to eat. Quick service and you will be taken care of. Although...1) They were not open at 9 when I got there. Thought thats when they opened, but I could have misread the Google search. And 2) If youre looking for an oil change, they only offer synthetic. So, if youre looking for something cheaper, you would have to go somewhere else. But would definitely recommend RA Auto.

I have been going to this shop for years their absolutely amazing!! The owner is honest and will not try to scam you !! I trust them they do great work I have never had a problem and I have multiple cars I take to them . Their prices are great and they do not over charge !! If you want a shop you can trust I would go here. Especially females you don t have to worry about harassment , being taken advantage of nope their completely professional.

The mechanic was excellent but the owner is ridiculous with priced he tried to charge me over $2000 for a $800 job I went to a second mechanic

--I highly recommend this place if you are a woman-- Very casual and friendly atmosphere, you can tell they have a lot of loyal customers. I went there for an annual state inspection, but ended up needing new break rotors. Ali, one of the workers, showed me a good rotor compared to what I had and explained to me exactly what was wrong them and how he would be determining what to charge me. As someone who presents as a woman, it was nice to be treated with such respect. Also, they let me wait in their office/entrance for my car to be done, which allowed me to see everything they were doing and made me feel more involved and confident in what was going on. Overall, a pleasant experience. The only reason I would not rate them as 5/5 stars is because during the entire 2-ish hours I was there I only saw 1 (maybe 2) people wearing a mask. As a nurse who has been working on a COVID floor for the past month this was very concerning to see! Please be considerate to others and protect yourself and your neighbors by masking up!

These guys are amazing ... Went to 4 other shops about replacing my brake lines and they all in their own way tried to take advantage of my situation ... RA was honest right from the start ... Plus they fixed a few other minor things at no charge (light bulb, resurfaced calipers) 5 Star !!!

These guys were great. My car wouldn t turn on and these guys helped get it back up and running in under an hour. They even gave me free oil since I was low. Can t recommend enough.

They are very expensive $60 for a used tire is highway robbery.

I love this mechanic! As a college student when you wake up with your tire flat it s scary but i am so thankful to this mechanic for fixing 2 flat tires I had at such a great cost and in no time! They fixed my car within 30 minutes both times I went, even when they were busy. They also helped me by giving me general updates on my car. Quality work is done here, would recommend to anyone!

My visit to R A Auto was the best experience I ever had in a mechanic shop, First off Raja Ali is a very nice person and you can just tell After talking to him for 5 minutes that he genuinely wants to help people, My exhaust had a bad leak near the catalytic converter, the technicians I spoke to in there explained What was going on and at first I didn t understand but they broke it down for me in a way I can understand what they are talking about, I just a few hours of me leaving my car with them raja called me back and told me their done, when I got back my cars exhaust was quiet and I was happy, in the end when It was time to pay I explained the raja that money was scarce at the moment and he looked at me and told me don t worry I will help you, and he gave me a small discount. I highly recommend this shop.. these people are honest, professional and caring

Mr. Raja Auto Repair Shop, in my experience is truly excellent, not just myself, my family also for 10yrs. For those females that have had Auto mechanics ripping them off, I highly recommend RA Auto Repair Shop. Its like having a mechanic on retainer.

My brothers and I have been going to this mechanic shop since 2007. It has been good to me and my family. Always profesional and fast service. Never had any problem with Staff. Very friendly. Recently got some work done to my Chevy Malibu and they repaired it on the same day I dropped it off. FAST! I ve recommended this shop to a few coworkers of mine too. Quality work.!

I consider them reliable for a variety of routine tasks and they have saved me money on stuff I would ordinarily take to a specialist, including my AC. I see a lot of people here with bad experiences and dont know what to make of it, except there are few businesses that make *everyone* happy. I have never purchased a vehicle or tires there. Brakes, oil changes, tire changes, struts and suspension, some light duty body work...I think theyre very good. For transmission work Id go to a specialist. I dont know how theyre going to make the transition to these new cars that are saturated with electronics. I guess Im going to find out. Ive had so many negative experiences with dealers that I find Im better off with an independent shop.

Mechanic said a/c compressor clutch is not engaging and that I need a new compressor and a new dryer. I took out the relay and manually activated the clutch my self. He is a liar and a crook. When I paid them to replace my engine he did not replace the lines to the compressor correctly. I will never go there again and anyone who does is a fool.

The owner of this business is professional. Honest. Direct. Will likely be returning here for all my car needs. I was in and out within an hour.

Recently Keeler Motor gave me a quote of over $600 for rear brakes, he did them for $450. I have referred many friends to Raja and they were very pleased as well... Keep up the good work Raja!

What I have experience here horrible service with humiliation. Even the stupid Guy Mr. Hamza was very rude and did not want to listen my comments about their services and selling. I have never experienced such type of service and stupid behavior. I can not recommend anyone after me to come here. Instead I warn everyone to beware of these CHEATERS and Rubbish people.

I drove 2 hours each way to look at a car and my interaction with Ali turned out to be a terrible experience. The car was pretty good, but there were some glaring, to me, discrepancies between the ad and what I saw. I had made an offer on the car, and when in-line to get the cashier s check to pay, I kept having misgivings and changed my mind about committing to this car that day. I communicated to Ali that I needed more time to think about it, and his initial response was fine enough, and that would have been ok. But then followed a litany of text messages while I was driving back home for 2 hours that were accusing me of being a scammer and a liar. The messages were bullying, harassing and were a shock to receive. I felt sad that he was clearly upset, and the more explanation and reasons I offered, the more abusive and harassing the messages became. He also made fun of my insecurity in the situation of buying a used car, when I was transparent with him about the disadvantage Im at in this transaction. I had told him I don t know much about cars and how to detect problems, and I m afraid of buying a lemon, and really need to be able to trust the seller. He responded with some more ideas about him and my regular mechanic laughing at me. The whole experience felt extremely abusive and it was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Ali is delusional and his behavior was so bizarre and unacceptable to me, it absolutely validated my decision for me to not buy a car from him. Also, while I was in the shop, I witnessed him talking to other customers, and he was so rude! I would not recommend this seller to anyone.

Ra seems to hire local mechanics, and the workers here have always been good to me and my car. They always found a way to save me money and take the time to answer my questions.

Bought my first car (used) from this dealer about 3 months ago and have had no problems thus far. Smooth car buying experience and very great service. There were minor cosmetic problems with the car which was fixed free of charge at my request. I also got a price drop on the purchase. Went to check on a sound in my truck, he gave an estimate of over $500. Then i checked it in the garage next door to this, he fixed it with $170 only. This guys is a lier dont trust him at all.
