Jaime is a great guy, reliable, and will solve the problem. My girlfriend has a '94 chevvy that's run into some issues and Jaime has taken care of us every time we've gone to him. Professional, hardworking, trustworthy.
Was referred to Sam's Garage by another garage in the neighborhood because they were overbooked in my time frame. Staff was professional and courteous over the phone, made an appointment, and was very flexible to meet my needs for drop off arrangements. During drop off, staff was able to recall details provided in a one-time phone conversation two weeks prior and ask for additional details. Car went from needing service and investigation in the morning to finished up and fixed in the afternoon, including several additional services I added circa lunch time. Rates were very reasonable. Staff was knowledgeable about the topic, potential failure modes, and whether or not different approaches were worth pursuing. Very satisfied with this service, and will 100% be returning here for future service.
Jamie is absolutely wonderful. I fully trust his opinion. He is honest about whether or not something truly needs to be fixed. Reasonably priced. We have been taking all our cars here for a few years now! Excellent service! A++
Went in with a busted wheel bearing. I was under the impression it was two wheel bearings and that it was going to be very expensive. A lot of garages would have taken advantage of that. A young girl with no clue about cars. Jamie told me right up front the correct price for the repair and he also informed me that it was only one wheel bearing. He worked with me to get me in around my super busy schedule. He was professional and had my car done in a very time efficient matter. I was able to pick it up with no problems and the car is running perfectly. Super appreciative and happy with the service. Also for reference my car is a hybrid which some garages won’t even work on around here and if they will they will overcharge you a lot of times. 10/10 recommend especially if you’re a woman because I know handing someone money when a lot of garages look at us like an easy target for some quick money can be intimidating.He’s honest, hard working, and very professional. Won’t take my car anywhere else from now on.
Have been taking various cars here for ~10 years. The owner, Jamey, is always courteous and professional. Always takes the time to discuss issues and explain for my benefit what's going on. Fair prices, and I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of. Highly recommended.
I've been a customer of Sam's Garage for the past two or three years. I have found owner Jamey Bartley to be extremely competent, accommodating and, above all else, honest. He recommends automotive services based solely upon what is needed...not what he is trying to sell. Although I have found his prices to be fair, you cannot put a price tag on trust. If you're tired of the hard sell that a lot of other service stations and dealers give you, give Sam's a try. You won't regret it.
I've taken my car to Sam's Garage three times now. The service is great and the people are nice and very helpful. I've waited for my car each time and I'm in and out pretty quickly. As for cost (What most people are concerned about), their rates were definitely fair. It's hard to find something bad to say! Your car is in good hands at Sam's.

These folks took great care of me after a tire came loose on the highway. I called and they were able to get me in right away, get the parts and complete the work in less than 2 hours so I could continue on my trip. Not a fun situation to be in but Im grateful I wasnt far from Sams Garage.

My wheel well became partially unattached while on the highway. I turned off the roadway and came across Sam s garage. Jamie, the owner, came to my rescue and cut off what remained so that I would be safe during the rest of my trip. He and his wife were both friendly, helpful and refused any payment!! There is not a single better mechanic to be found, folks. Jamey is the be all and end all of mechanics. His prices are absolutely reasonable and honestly, I wouldnt trust my car at any other location. I know next to nothing about cars but this place has never taken advantage of that to swindle me.

I went in with at least one busted wheel bearing and suspected that another might also be shot. The car sounded horrible on turns. I dropped the car off at 8am and Jamey called me back 30 minutes later to confirm my self-diagnosis (I only told him about the one wheel bearing, so it was great that he was thorough and confirmed all of my suspicions). He had the car fixed (with an oil change) in a couple of hours. I was floored by his responsiveness, his thoroughness, and his honest/competitive pricing. More importantly, the work was done well and the car rides as smooth as ever. My wife and I are new to Albany and we will be returning to Sams Garage for all of our car maintenance needs!

This place is excellent. My family has taken our cars here for years. The service is great, the price is right, and they dont do anything to your car that you wouldnt want done to it. So please be friends with your mechanic, because guys like Jamey will do you right.

Ive taken my cars to Sams for about 10 years now and hes always stood by his work. He even quoted me a price and labor took way longer (about 1 extra day of work) and he never charged me for it. Mike is really the best mechanic in the Capital District.

I had an oil change at a shop while visiting Michigan and they told me 4 things were wrong with my Jeep. I took it to Sams and he only found 1 thing wrong. They totally could have ripped me off and didnt. I highly recommend this shop.
