I received a number of reminders from Colonie NY safelite about the time and date of my mobile appointment. I originally was schedule from 12noon to 5pm. At 10am i was told that the tech would be at my house at 12 noon. By 4;30 pm I called and was assured that a tech was on the way. around 530pm i receive a call from someone who did not give his name. The man explained that they could not come over because they were out of daylight. This person was so flippant about his companys failures and eventually told me that safelite did not need my business? How can anybody be so flippant about wasting somebodys whole day. I was offered to come in in a Saturday or a sunday . I would have expected safelite to give me the first appontment on the next day. I find it somehow ironic that Safelite did everything to make sure that i was available for the appointment. Anybody can schedule an appointment. I guess the trick is to actally show up for the appointment. I did what was asked of me. Unfortunately Safelite did not! shame shame shame

Schedule an appointment and they did not show up for the appointment I didn t receive a call or text from them I don t recommend this company to anyone this company sucks it s like you begging them to come change your glass!! How shameful is this

The repair lasted one month. It cost me over 400 dollars to have the cameras fixed after they were put in loose when my windshield was replaced. Having the dealership even examine them voids the warranty apparently. My insurance company has some sort of contract with then, but I would never use them again. While Safelites reply states what the rep said when I called, it is and was not helpful given my dealership had already looked because it was going in for service and I assumed it was an issue unrelated to the very recent repair. I am working to get my insurance to provide better options than Safelite. They should make good on their mistakes.

I am not happy with this company s customer service. There is no one in the office to answer phones. I can t get through and neither can Geico. I brought my car into the shop on Saturday to have my windshield replace. They did not get to my car until an hour before they closed and were unable to recalibrate my computer. My dash is lit up like a Xmas tree. No call back for reschedule. Nothing

They canceled our windshield replacement appointment at 5pm the day before the 8am appointment saying they wouldnt have the new windshield for another week!! Weve had the appointment for 3 weeks! Terrible.

Nope. Dont go there! I scheduled a mobile service call from this shop and they never showed up! And they didnt call me to reschedule the appointment either. Shameful.

Great experience with them. They came to motel fixed my glass. Wasnt near home. Anthony fix my car windshield. Was very friendly and hospitable. Showed me a lot. Just felt bad I didnt tip. Money was bad. He was great about it and understood. Didnt expect it. Great guy. I still feel bad bout the tip.

My technician Shawn was very helpful- and did a great job replacing my whole windshield from a spider crack. I didnt have time to go to their location, so with them coming to my work it was super helpful. 10/10 would recommend

The store manager Britney does not return phone calls and is always out to lunch or had a family emergency . Technician Josh was incredibly rude when I asked for clarification on why my sensors were not re-calibrated which my insurance company and the auto manufacturers dealership confirmed is required when a windshield is replaced. Use Capital Land Auto Glass. Safelites customer service is a joke and they do not know the ins and outs of windshield replaced as advertised.

I had an appointment today that the tech never showed up to. We waited all morning, not able to use our car, and there was no contact from the company that they would not be coming. I wasted more time calling around trying to figure out what was happening. A phone number a service agent provided me with was out of service. Finally another agent said the shop would return my call to set up an appointment for today but I am still waiting for a return call. Unbelievable waste of my time and hugely unprofessional.

Couple weeks ago a stone came off of back of a trailer bust my windshield so I wind up going up to Safelite Albany. Well, if you got a windshield problem, thats the best place to go. Brittany, the receptionist very sweet. Very lovable willing to help you in the technicians are very professional, honest and fast. Like I said, if you have an issue with your windshield give them a call

Great company. My insurance set me up with their guy cause I didnt have my own glass guy. Very curteous, professional, prompt, kept in contact with me by email and text. They replaced and recalibrated my front windshield. Looks great, doesnt leak. Would recommend.

The woman I spoke to was very rude and unpleasant, things got heated over a simple question, Im a first-time user of safelite, and wont use them again, their customer service stinks.

Safelite Latham replaced the windshield on our 2019 Lexus, they left a bunch of dirt and what looked like dried glue all over the dash and center console. They left tape on the glass and paint outside which left sticky residue. Also scratched the headliner on the A pillar and upsold us $60 Safelite brand wipers. I tried to call to let them know but I couldnt get past the automated system or leave a message. If we had a more serious problem it would be difficult to resolve. Look elsewhere for windshield repair

Made appointment, they Came with wrong windshield, waited a week and set up another appointment, took time off from work and they canceled an hr before they were to show up the 2nd time citing that the window was damaged. Installer was great on last 2 windshields Ive had replaced and tried his best to accommodate, but the company itself is a joke. Call glass America instead

1875 Central Ave Safelite Auto Glass I had a crack in my windshield and went through my insurance company they were able to fit me in and they were able to get it done in an hour I went there and I dropped off my vehicle and I waited with it they have a little waiting area with some chairs a TV and some potato chips and some water and coffee if you wish the restrooms and the chairs are comfortable check them out I did theyll get you in and out for me I had to have my whole windshield replaced and they did it in an hour be well the end

Safelite did a good job replacing my windshield, however they damaged the frame of my car in the process, which the manager said theyd repair. However, they always conveniently forgot, and I grew exhausted at always being the one who initiates the conversation to get it repaired -- eventually I just stopped trying. My car is fairly old, so I certainly can live with the damage, but still....buyer beware! EDIT: I did respond to the owner and contacted safelites contact us page. No one ever responded to my request.

I went there the other day to have my windshield replaced from a rock that left a big crack. When I arrived, the person at the desk was very friendly and helpful, gave me information about local shops, and spoke kindly. Their waiting area included TV and a coffee area which was convenient. I dont even remember if I waited the full hour, it went by quickly ( even without the TV on haha). If I need work done again for whatever reason I will keep them in mind.

My Insurance company set up an appointment with Safelite Auto Glass for the very next day after I told them that I had a bad crack in my windshield that ran from the top to the bottom. The Safelite Auto Glass that I was sent to was at 1845 Central Avenue near Rt 155 I arrived early for my 4:00 p.m. appointment and was promptly greeted by Keith, who I believe is the manager, and he took care of all of the paperwork. And then I met Patrick who removed my broken windshield and installed the new windshield. Ive got to tell you how impressed I was with the finished product, it was a perfect installation, everything was spotless, my dashboard and windshield was perfectly done, and not one fingerprint on anything, amazing!!! And then I met the third technician, Marty, who was working on another vehicle while Patrick worked on my car. But I had the honor and privilege to meet Marty, Keith, and Patrick, three of the nicest guys that Ive ever done business with, and they are all genuinely extremely nice guys. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a professional job done right the first time, at a fair and honest price. Thanks again Keith, Patrick, and Marty, thank you for a job well done!

Safelite came to do 2 of my cars 1 car took over a month to get widsheild put in after several excuses and appointmens and allan from their platsburg office has a major attitude problem and needs to be romoved as manager

On June 24th we scheduled a windshield replacement at our home for July 2nd . July 2nd rolled around and Safelite was a no show. They called at 4pm to reschedule for July 8th. This screwed up our inspection appointment for July 3rd.. Safelite never intended to come to our house on July 2nd. I dont believe they had the windshield. A call to their shop and I got the BS, we strive for customer satisfaction.. oh yeah, right... Never mind the fact we had to miss a day of work, offered to bring the car to their shop and I would have to take another day off on July 8th.. Guess who isnt doing my windshield on July 8th. .. I cannot recommend this business and I cannot see why our insurance company deals with them.

Monday 11am appointment at shop Sorry no windshield Friday 4pm no office staff just installer. Results no new wipers wiper blade extends 4 inches off of auto. Two days later weather stripping comes off.

Quick efficient service was on time with the appointment and took care of my windshield within the hour. Not happy with the one-year warranty they gave me on my windshield because some normal car rust in certain areas of the windshield.

They told me that something on my back window frame had to be fixed before they could put my back window in but they where just being lazy because I went to safelite in Latham and they fixed my window with no problem, I knew nothing needed to be fixed that s why I didn t bother to go have it looked at

Twice they have been out to replace my windshield and have arrived with the wrong glass. Now as I am waiting on my THIRD appointment they are telling me I have NO appointment! They sent me a confirmation text yesterday for 8am with a link to view your appointment which states I have no appointment set for today! Now I sit on hold and wait. Meanwhile I have been driving with a cracked windshield for a week. Terrible service.

Have a windshield that needs to be replaced and they have a technician call out the day of the appointment and want me to reschedule for a week later. This is unacceptable I get people get sick but to have to wait a full week with an almost 12 inch crack because it took a week for me to get this appointment is ridiculous. Luckily my insurance is paying for it but in the future I will be looking to someone who can fix a time sensitive issue in a timely manner.

Had my windshield replaced after a chip became a smile across the glass. I arrived on time and was welcomed and told it wouldnt take too long and he was correct! The registration and inspection stickers dont even show signs that they were transferred to a new windshield. As I made mention that I was going to have to get another Army star for it, one of the gentlemen gave me a Safelite challenge coin and thanked me for my service...ABSOLUTE class! Honestly they were in a position to absolutely take advantage of me. I thought I needed to get my window replaced but it actually turned out to be a simple fix. Patrick was great! The estimate was 1.5 hours and he was done in less than 1 hour. He very carefully transferred the inspection, registration, oil change stickers to the new windshield, plus the ezpass and rearview mirror. Looks great! Recommended! :-)

Recently and accident resulted in my entire windshield being shattered. This happened under a new insurance policy that was only 1 week old. Upon contacting my insurance company to make my claim I was informed that i had a large deductible for my glass that I had intended on not having when I signed up. I was very upset but needed my window fixed. From the moment I contacted a person at SafeLite on the phone to schedule an appointment through until when the live person fixing my window gave me my keys back i was made to feel like I was welcome, important, and valued. During a time in which my insurance company made me feel the opposite of these things this was crucial in getting me through my day. Not to mention the glass and its installation is immaculate and nicer than the rest of my car :-) including all details down to how perfectly placed the registration and inspection stickers are.
