Best customer service and best deals in the capital district. I needed a new Furnace and new AC. As soon as I called they came in the next day. Ted was honest and it was very clear to me that he was not there for the morny. He was there to help me and my family with getting us the best efficient equipment for my money. Ted literally educated me (of course I did my own research) and all he was saying was right on the money. Two days after closing the deal, Ted had his very professional technicians Shawn, Alex and Stepphan show up to my house sharp 9am. These guys came in super clean, respectful and worked at a steady pace. After the work was done, they made sure to clean up and answered any questions I had. I hired Family Danz to do a oil-gas swap and I could not be happier with their work. They are super professional, real experts, and very pleasant people. Avery Rourke was my lead installer alongside with Adam S, Jacob T and Conor W. They went above and beyond to make sure everything is done properly, cleaned up after themselves, and even helped me get my new stove into the house. They even gave me a very good price to remove the oil tank and did it within minutes. Overall I am extremely happy with Family Danz and would 100% recommend it to anyone!

We had a new furnace installed in May, the sales person was great and detail oriented so we decided to go with Family Danz. The install was completed and the system functions fine, but there are issues and getting them resolved has been an excruciating experience. The sales person told us that we would benefit from a 4" filter box, so we chose that option. The installers installed the box facing a pole that goes from the ceiling to the floor in my basement and is about 14" away from the opening of the filter box and right in front of it. What this means is, when they installed the filter they had to crush it to get it around the pole and into the filter box. I received a notification that it was time to change my filter, I purchased a 4" filter from a reputable brand as I could not find the same filter they used when they installed it and I am unable to get the filter into the filter enclosure. I've sent pictures, emails, and made phone calls. I keep getting told someone will get back to me and they do not, until I call again or send an email and I'm told again, someone will get back to me. This was a very significant purchase and clearly the installers should have recognized this issue immediately when they attempted to put the filter into the enclosure but it was left as is and now I'm using a dirty filter and hopefully not going to choke my new furnace to death. At this point I would not recommend Family Danz due to the "guarantee mastercraft support". Mistakes were made and I'm left to figure them out now. I was told just put the new filter in, well I can't, unless I cut it in half. This is not acceptable and we are not happy customers. EDIT: After contacting Family Danz again and letting them know I would have another local company come and fix this filter box, but would expect a credit for the amount it cost, one of the service managers emailed me and they sent someone out to flip the filter box around. Took him less than 30 minutes and now I don't have to destroy filters while putting them in the filter box.
Wyatt came by to do my annual maintenance on air conditioner. He was on time, responsive, courteous, professional. He answered all my questions and offered advice on preventive care and maintenance. First time I used this firm. I had not needed service in several years. My daughter has been very happy with them for several years. We had no heat. They got here within a few hours, quickly identified the problem and had the part on the truck. We were up and running before dinner! Great first experience!

While the project was in a difficult location for Avery and Ryan they kept their positive attitudes . Averys attention to detail is second to none when it comes to repiping the new boiler. Not only was it neat and clean he spent time teaching Ryan the ins/outs of piping. Avery is a asset to Family Danz that deserves a lot of credit for taking Ryan under his wing. As for Ryan, in him lies the future because its rare to have an young apprentice that doesnt bring a chip on his shoulder thinking he knows everything. He actually cares about the quality of the work he does. Thats not easy to find someone like him who has a bright future . Do yourself a favor and hang on to these two workers Family Danz .I have had nothing but a positive experience with Family Danz and would recommend them.

Patrick was a polite young man. However, Family Danz policy is to provide you with no physical receipt of payment. I was informed Its either sent to you by email or they send you one by mail. Lets see if I get one. If you dont have an email address or your printer doesnt work youre out of luck. Therefore you have nothing in writing that says they were there and nothing in writing as to the issues. He left with payment in hand, but left me no proof of payment, except the the check I paid him with. If I had given him cash it would have been my word against theirs that I paid. Very suspicious practices in my opinion. I would not recommend them for an honest answer. As I was told in order to obtain an honest answer as to why my boiler is burning so much oil I had to have a sales person come back to give it to me, as there was more testing to do. They couldnt figure out the problem otherwise. Like measuring the size of the radiators to the square footage of your home compared to the BTU output of your boiler. No, I dont recommend. Dont waste your money. Find someone else.
I just had a clean and tune done from Family Danz. Ive now have used them several times from tune ups to repairs and the service is always the same. They show up when they say they will, thier service techs have obviously been trained well and actually know what thier doing. They have always acted professionally and dont try to upsell you on parts you dont need. All of this combined with fair prices makes them my go to for my oil system.

Unfortunately, I had to revise my review based on a estimate I receieved. The estimator refused to break down labor and materials. Based on my pricing of materials it was clear that the estimate was non transparent as it did not provide the exact work being performed and clearly hid the exorbinate profits that would be extracted. I had conversations with other people and every one of them had similar work done for sifnificantly lower. Family Danz need to realize that the COVID scare is over! I guess it is not against the law to charge $9000 in labor for one days work( per estimator) but I have a responsabilty to feed myself and not suffer at the hand of people eating Filet Mignon. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ASK YOUR HVAC PEOPLE TO BREAK DOWN THE COST IN THEIR ESTIMATES!!!! IF THEY WONT THAN GO ELSWERE! WE NEED TO GET BACK TO HAVING THESE CoMPANIES BREAKDOWN the COSTS.
Remarkable planning, service, installation and communication. Two prominent heating companies gave up on the possibility of installing a whole house humidifier in our townhouse due to the tight space. From Ed to Josh to Avery and Ryan very step was carefully planned and installed. If he isnt, he should be.) He was outstanding in every aspect, from his superior knowledge and expertise to his friendliness, honesty, and helpful advice. While away on vacation, we were alerted that we had no heat. We made a call to family danz late on a Friday afternoon and they were able to dispatch Andre, who met a friend at our home. He quickly found the problem, made the necessary repair and got the heat back on in a very cold house. We have had family danz as our heating and cooling contractor since 1994,, and have never been disappointed with their top notch service.
I was concerned about these old fashioned grate s covering 2 radiators. I was assured by rep that heat was radiating properly which calmed any doubt that I wasn t get optimal heat. Rep was professional and reassuring

I am never disappointed with the attention and service I get from Family Danz. They have been my service provider for both heating and cooling for several years. (Up until a few years ago they also provided plumbing services which they no longer offer.). All of the service techs are friendly, respectful, courteous and professional. Fred V. has serviced my furnace on many occasions and I can always count on him to do a thorough job as well as entertain me with all his stories ! Instead of busy letting me know, he called the manufacturer, checked and found that I was still under warranty and is making arrangements for replacement parts or a new water heater. They quoted me twice the price for a simple hot water heater replacement. I confirmed the job with the person when given the price and they almost seemed to try to justify the cost. I had someone else do it for less than half their quote, and the job was still done properly! Im leaving this negative review because they tried pulling the same thing on a family member for a furnace repair and hot water heater! Again, twice the price! Sorry, but you guys are not worth anywhere near $2,000 an hour in labor.

I contacted Family Danz through HomeAdvisor as one of five vendors from whom I requested quotes. However, Family Danz provided only one option, which turned out to be the most expensive among all the quotes I received. The other vendors offered cheaper options for a Lennox furnace and typically provided around three different options at varying prices. I find it puzzling that Family Danz presented so few choices. Overall, the quote options from them were underwhelming, and their sole quote was the highest of all the vendors I consulted.

Hilton was the rep who came to our property to give us an estimate on heating and cooling for my She Shed. He arrived on time for the appointment. He evaluated the space and asked me some questions. My husband was also there to answer any technical questions about the electrical supply, access, building, etc. Hilton addressed technical questions to him but included me in each query. How refreshing! He is a bright, personable young gentleman who will go far in any company he represents.

To be honest, it was a waste of $140. There should be a tech available to accept a phone call to explain the codes on the control unit. Theres no trouble found. I wasted time and money. Your people did a very good job of explaining, but Im not happy.

We recently moved into a new home and wanted to make sure our HVAC was in good shape and the ducts were clean since we didn t know the last time it had been done. Ed came out and took a look, gave us an estimate, and gave us his recommendation based on what he saw. Taking his feedback into account we scheduled the work. Everything was very easy and Steffan was super efficient. Once he finished up he walked me through all the maintenance steps/filter replacement so we know what to do to keep things in good shape. I appreciated that they helped us get setup and gave us options. We enjoyed working with them!

We purchased a new gas boiler from Family Danz several years ago and have used them to service the boiler since the installation. On an early morning in mid December we heard a loud bang and the boiler was releasing water from its release pipe. We called Family Danz immediately and one of their technicians arrived from Ballston Spa very quickly. He was able to stop the running water and quickly determined that the problem was a valve clogged with sediment, he was able to find the proper part in his truck and install the part in a matter of minutes. He was a complete professional, and the boiler works great. He gave me a bill for $1157 for the visit, which lasted less than an hour and a half, which I paid with a credit card. Approximately, a month later the charge appeared on my account, in the meantime I researched the price of the valve he replaced and found that it was a $60 part available on line. We were charged $139 for the trip visit and $857 for the $60 valve installation which took about fifteen minutes. We have made numerous inquiries regarding these charges both via phone and email and have not received any explanation of these exorbitant charges. We fully expected to be charged extra for an emergency call on a weekend, but this charge is frankly ridiculous, as is the fact that no one has gotten back to us to explain their flat rate billing policy. Prepare for an expensive, arbitrary bill, just guessing our technician wasn t getting paid $500 an hour.
Very happy with the service provided by Wyatt C. He took the time running various diagnostic tests and was eventually able to identify the root cause. Wyatt was also very courteous. I really appreciated him wearing shoe covers to prevent tracking dirt in the house.

Rob from Family Danz came to address a problem I was having with my furnace. He checked the furnace and was able to diagnose what the problem is. He was very knowledgeable and gave me suggestions about how we would proceed. I would recommend him and Im going to request him from now on when I need service.

I am elderly and have end stage renal failure. I woke up last Saturday to no heat. Even though it was 2 days before Christmas, Family Danz came right to my house. I needed a new furnace. They provided space heaters and completed the job very efficiently. They explained everything, accommodated my special needs and were fantastic to deal with. They accomplished everything they promised and more. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Work was fast and as expected on the parts and repair follow through repair days later as predicted. This survey makes me suspect something is not quite correct however with passcodes and double redundancy checks. I almost didn t respond.
My old 19 year old furnace was in need of replacement and I knew that but I was trying to hold off until spring. I guess it was not to be. Family Danz has been servicing my furnace for the past three maybe four years and I when asked the service tech, Dave Toma about a replacement and if he thought my furnace would make it through the winter. He was honest and said he couldn t guarantee that, but it was very old and it was in need of being replaced. It was limping along until January 27 when it finally quit at 2 AM. I called Family Danz and they said they would send a technician as soon as possible. 15 minutes later Fred V. their technician called me and told me he would be there at about a half hour. During that time waiting the furnace fired up. Fred could not find an intermittent problem, but said it was a strong possibility that the control board was shot and he showed me the scorch marks on it. I asked him if he could get one and he said they would try and I also asked him to contact someone about a new furnace ASAP and he did. At 9 AM that morning Jonah, their salesman contacted me and told me he would be over within the hour. He looked at the old furnace and we discussed my options. He made suggestions but wasn t pushy in in any way. When I decided what I wanted he wrote up the estimate. I asked how long to get a new one in and he said 7 to 10 days but he said if my furnace quit, it would not restart to call him immediately and he would get my scheduled install pushed up if possible. Bonnie their scheduler called me the very next day to schedule the install of the new furnace. I explained the situation and asked her to please make it ASAP because no one knew how long this old one was going to last. She scheduled me for Friday the 31st. At 8:30 AM, Friday Adam and Collins showed up to install a new furnace. I showed him the old one and he explained to me what they were going to do and they went right to work. About an hour later, Adam was on the phone because apparently the new furnace had been damaged during shipping so he called to get a replacement. The replacement showed up within an hour, but in the meantime, they installed the new AC unit outside. These two guys worked nonstop! Even during the install Adam took time to explain things to me and what they were doing and why, and when it came time to fire up the new furnace at about 2 PM. He also explained the new furnace could tell a technician what the problem was with it should anything ever go wrong. The furnace fired right up and on flawlessly! While we were finishing up the paperwork upstairs, he explained everything about extending the warranty with Bryant and rebates from National Grid and many other things. They cleaned up quickly and were gone before 3 PM. Adam and Collins did an absolutely tremendous job and I could not be more pleased! I needed a reputable heating and cooling company to service my old furnace and take care of some other problems I had around the house and I chose Family Danz because I have seen them around the neighborhood. Boy, I am glad I did! Their entire operation is 100% first class! I tell everyone I know about Family Danz and I will be a customer of theirs forever. Thank you, Family Danz for the amazing work you do,the quality of people you have and the very reasonable prices.

Family Danz were awesome. They came within an hour of calling and fixed my mom s boiler immediately for a great price. Another company said it couldn t be fixed and tried to sell a new overpriced unit, but Danz immediately found a simple issue. Use them for an honest assessment and price!

I had a new furnace installed by Ron C and Chris B. They did an excellent job, arrived a few minutes before they were scheduled, very professional and friendly. They put down floor covering to protect my floor while bringing the new furnace in and taking the old one out. The install went great and they cleaned up everything when they were done. They answered all my questions and also explained how to use the furnace. Then they helped me with information to fill out my rebate. All and all I was extremely satisfied with their work! Great job!

Recently my husband and I needed to replace our boiler in our home. It is a large home and was going to be a big job. After receiving numerous estimates and doing extensive research on companies and products, we decided to contract Family Danz to do the replacement. From planning of the correct unit to installation, to removal of the old boiler and install of the new, my husband and I were very happy with the quality of work. We asked many questions to the boiler managers and always an answer was explained in terms we could understand. All workers were responsive and professional. Our basement was left very clean after the installation was complete. Much appreciation to Josh, Andrew, Avery, Kevin, Sean and Collin.

Heat went out in my home over Saturday night. We have a newborn, so I was calling all over in the early hours of the morning. Danz had a tech call me within 5 minutes of my initial call, and Fred came out within 30 minutes of our conversation. He did a great job and got our heat back on. They did a great job, charged reasonably for an emergency call (and I was not part of their customer base, didn t have a service contract or anything) and kept my family warm. Definitely recommend the company!

Was having issues with our thermostat and wireless module. Initially called Cristifulli Bro since they installed the furnace. They found no issue but still charged us. Happened again where the module stopped working and wasnt communicating to the furnace. We then called Family Danz and they figured out the issue instantly. Its nice their techs are very well trained unlike the other company..

Andre is the best tech at Family Danz and instantly solved the thermostat issue. A new thermostat was installed by a different tech one day ago and that tech failed to tell me the thermostat came pre-programmed to turn heat down to 61 degrees every day! I was unable to override that program, even though the previous tech told me I could. It s a complicated thermostat with all the I-phone and Bluetooth capabilities. I wanted a simple way to turn heat or a/c up or down manually. Andre made things easy and simple. Ask for him for all your service needs if he s available! I will for sure.
Professional and fast!
Theyre trying to make money & dont know what they are doing. Now It s been a month since Family Danz come over and said I need to replace my system which they call 15+ years old . In that case I had a different company which came over and actually fix the problem which is fully resolved. Also before you try to make your company look good maybe you shouldn t lie in the comment to this post. The tech guy only spend about 9-13 minutes (was in a rush) and they put 45 minutes on the invoice.
