Standard Heating Cooling & Insulating Headquarters located in Marcy, NY & Albany, NY. Update: Contacted me 1/20/25 to try to resolve the problem. 2nd update 3/29- still nothing has been completed. They are working with me to resolve the issues that the insulation caused. James is definitely trying to help. At first, I thought it was fantastic to get free INSULATION because of the program that is available, however, it was put on the belly of my mobile home and now the floor in between the insulated parts are buckling up & making speed bumps. I m disabled. I ve tripped over several times I had the first knee replacement surgery done just prior to the insulation was put in. I tripped over the huge bump/rise in the floor-It literally took a chunk of bone out my knee that was left. This is how big these bumps are. I called them explained what was happening & all the owner/INSULATION manager could say we ve never seen anything like this . The company came here several times scratching their heads. Don t know what to do they ve never seen anything like it is all they kept saying. Well, neither have I. I ve never lived in a mobile home before. I don t know what to do. I know it needs to be fixed so I asked them to take it out. They won t call me back. They won t answer me. I haven t heard from them in months. On October 2, 2024 they sent a very nice man to take pictures (which I ve already provided them with prior to this ) when the gentleman came to take pictures again he said I don t know I never seen this before . He specifically told me that the owner & the manager of installation dept. would look at them & will get back to you me a couple days. I am still waiting on an answer as how to fix this problem that they created. I still have not gotten a callback and it is now January 14th. I guess the owner doesn t care & doesn t want to have any part of the blame. I asked them to take the insulation back out to see if it ll drop my floors back down. No call back & no answer to the problem. It s like they don t even care. They don t wanna take accountability for their actions & be involved in this nightmare I am having. This is a horrible way to do business especially with somebody that is disabled. This is not fair. I just want my floors back. I want help. I need help. I want this fixed but it s impossible with this company cause they won t even return any of my calls. I did see my caller ID they called twice, but never even left a message. No comment whatsoever. UPDATE: Contacted me January 17th, 2025 The people there are so nice and friendly. It was definitely a pleasure doing business with them until this happened now they just ignore me. I don t approve it and it s not good business practice to ignore your clients because word-of-mouth goes very far.

We are pleased with the Energy Savings Program through the company Standard and NYS. We just got a replacement heating system and form insulation installed this weekend. We are very pleased with the job they did, the friendliness and professionalism of the workers and their ability to work with the families as they re doing their jobs. We highly recommend them for your next homeowner s project.

We used a NYSERDA program and Standard really stuck with it for us through some problems with NYSERDA. Austin, James and each receptionist I spoke with were always very helpful and courteous. Our furnace was installed today by a great team. Micheal was very good at explaining everything and very friendly. He definitely knows his job well. Very professional teamwork today. We felt at ease and tonight are enjoying a furnace to replace our old one that hasnt worked since September. So happy not to have to rely on our secondary heat source woodstove. Thanks to all who helped get this over the finish line.

First please, please forgive me for being remiss in showing my heartfelt appreciation sooner for your gift to me that is a blessing. That being said what better day than Thanksgiving Day to tell you how much it has meant. It all started with Erika Stalder sending Todd Bariteau to do the weatherization review. And Todd put a push on my needs for a furnace.....since mine was a gutted one after many reputable people tried for the fix. So then Travis came with his crew and did an amazing job. They did have to wait in the truck for Travis to go buy a part because the connection was to a kerosene tank. I was working in my yard next to the truck and fell down (am 83 years old) and Mike Saldi was right there to help me up. Little did you know that you also have caregivers for the elderly....LOL..... So, after a job well done I was teary eyed in saying Thank You and Goodbye....mentioned to them how kind they had been. My delay for this praise has meant warmth in my heart for what you do at Standard......and warmth to me in my home instead of waking up to 49 or 50 degrees in the morning.....do sleep under an electric blanket though....LOL ......I had called Mike Saldi because after they left I found a mans cap in my driveway....Mike said he knew who it belonged to and would call me ahead as to when he could stop by to pick it up.....Just is not my style!!....LOL. So it is still here for Mike to pick up.....Hope you all had a Very Happy Thanksgiving....with a Christmas look...LOL........Once again...sooo sooo grateful!!!! Most Sincerely, Carol Mayer

John Campbell and his crew did a great job of insulated my whole basement and you can feel the difference standard heating and cooling is number 1 for me they make a different in how they sealed the entire house and now I can live more comfortable knowing they made sure of no opening left anymore thank you John and your crew.

Worked performed was excellent. I had problems with communicating with home office. Change in schedule was not noted, nor change in work performed was not noted. The crew itself was great and did a great job. Would recommend.

The Standard Team were at my house today.I only got two of their names ,Dom and John however there were 4 of them. They were very knowledgable about all of the processes they did. They kept me aware of what was going on and answered all my questions with ease. My experience with this company has been a headache. First the auditor came out and did an assessment told me I had termites in the basement. I was panick stricken, hire an exterminator to come out only to be told I had carpenter ants. Spend money I did not have to get the problem resolved. CHECK While in the basement he discuss on having the old insulation removed from the area where the foam was going to be placed, and wanted me a 67 year old person on a fixed income to remove it myself. Well to make a long story short USXPEST did that for me. USXPEST DID A WONDERFUL JOB. CHECK Now the area is clear and I call the auditor and told him this while the exterminator was still at my home. I was told that the office would give me a call to set up a date, as of now I have not heard nothing from them. I am going to get in contact with NYSERDA and have this contractors service canceled!!! It behoove me that the commercial says one thing and the workers of this company does not represent. I guess if I was paying out of pocket and not through a GOVERNMENT GRANT things would be different. I am so disappointed with the advertising of this company, but I must say THE COMPANY NAME IS ONE THING BUT THE PEOPLE REPRESENTING THIS COMPANY IN MY AREA OF SCHENECTADY COUNTY IS VERRRY POOR SHAMEFUL JUST SHAMEFUL

Alex came in to clean out my furnace and fix a disconnected heat duct. He Was very nice, communicated what he was doing and how everything was work and why it wasn t, very friendly and efficient

Alex came in and assessed my leaking ductwork and replaced it with no problem, the workmanship is freaking amazing and his attitude was awesome, standard is far better than any HVAC company in the area. Alex definitely deserves a raise!!!!

Travis and Mike just installed the furnace!! They were very professional and friendly! When they left, they left everything clean and it was like they were never here. I also want to thank the guys that did the insulation!! Standard is top of the line and I highly recommend them!!

Trying to work with them on a NYSERDA grant has been very difficult. Extremely poor communication from the start. I have spoken to at least 4 different people on multiple calls trying to figure out how the process works. Different answers from people in the same office. Not sure if they are so poorly organized no one knows what s goin on or if they lie. Wish me luck as continue to navigate trying to get the services completed!

Our experience with Standard was top notch!! Not only did they put insulation in all our exterior walls, clean our furnace, install a new thermostat and an insulated seal for our drop down attic but they did it all in just a few days and with the best possible work ethic and kindness. While they were blowing the insulation in a wall, it popped out and cracked - it was no fault of theirs, as it turns out the wall wasnt well supported in that spot; but they repaired the wall with no issues. They explained everything they were doing so I could stay involved. I really appreciated the professional but friendly behavior of the whole team. I have already recommended them to friends and they have been able to take advantage of the same great work!

Tech Chris S. arrived on time. His exam of the A/C system was very thorough and he found what may be the source of a leak in the system that the company who installed it could not. Chris was very patient answering all my questions. I would highly recommend Chris and Standard for A/C service.

They took weeks to send a person to look at my water heater (their competitors did an instant analysis with an iphone photograph) then came in with a price much higher, with no clue when they could replace the unit. A last minute call to a competitor .d to an immediate and timely appointment. Ba bye

Alex was wonderful. Ive been having problems with my furnace for a couple years now. He diagnosed and fixed the issue within 30 minutes whereas Ive had other companies come in a few times and not be able to figure it out (and leave me with a huge bill). I cant recommend this company and their service more. Thank yall so much!

I cant say enough good things about everyone that I encountered at the standard. Everyone was friendly professional timely and It was just an overall amazing experience. Pair that with the programs that they offer and you cannot find a better company to work with.

Completed a winterization spray foam, and blown in insulation in my attic, along with sealed off a couple of doors with a draft seal. All three guys were excellent by being extra cautious about covering up furniture and making sure job was completed correctly and clean. Joey sure does know what he is doing and is very good at it he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy .I would recommend him to anybody that I know looking for that kind of work. Also installed your sign on my front lawn for advertisement. Chris S

I am extremely satisfied with the work Standard did on both the insulation and air sealing work as well as the installation of our air source heat pumps. Their team helped us navigate through the complex web of NY State programs to make sure we got the maximum incentives for our projects. Now our home will stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer with our high efficiency heat pumps; it s like living in a brand new home, that happens to be a 100+ year old farm house.

Great team members and Robert made this hes a great asset happen. Hats off to Robert! He personally came to my house twice and got everything that was needed done. I would recommend your company to anyone who needed work done. Robert went above and beyond of his job and was glad to meet him! What a great asset he is for your company!

John and his crew, RJ & AJ, came to our home to install spray foam in the joist and cellulose in the attic. Very respectful crew both to our home and to us. Of all the work weve had done to our home No one has taken great care as they did. They were not an inconvenience, very polite and they worked well together. These guys came in to do our spray foam insulation installation. They were here on time, clean, and friendly! Great service!

They were very pleasant, knowledgeable and clean. they did a heating and insulation evaluation on my house. They returned after one week and replaced my heating system .Returned the following week increase the insulation in my attic in my laundry room furnace room. overall I was very pleased with their services. We lacked insulation in our attic and basement crawl space. And needed a few other energy efficiency items/upgrades performed. I can tell you without a doubt John Campbell was both friendly, helpful, professional and knowledgeable and wasn t frustrated with questions. He and his helper worked diligently, efficiently and were sure to put protective plastic down on the floors and rugs to protect them. The whole company is very professional- from phone calls, to initial evaluations, to installation and then inspection they are top notch! Thank you for all you did to help us achieve better energy efficiency.

Insulation

Very professional. Installed new energy efficient hot water heater, new thermostat, 4 aluminum pipe for dryer vent, new molding strips on exterior doors, 10 inches of blown insulation in attic, and a insulated cover for disappearing stairs. Guys were courteous. And clean up was great. Would highly recommend this company to anyone.

The installed foam insulation in a crawl space and around sill plates. They did a wonderful job.

Dylan and the team at Standard Insulation were extremely professional, responsive and courteous. Even in a wildly expensive market, they did everything to work with me on price and I couldnt be more thankful. This is the third time Ive had the pleasure of working with Standard and they always do their best to go above and beyond to ensure the job is done right!
