I dropped my car off for a new tire at 7am and I was greeted with smiles as soon as I walked in the door, what a nice way to start the morning. John was as accommodating as could be and made sure to keep in touch along the way as to when the car would be finished. He even hand dried the car after the carwash which was super nice! I’ve been trying to get in for service for months… I was an hour late from a doctors appointment and they had to schedule it out another five weeks so an appointment I made in January is going to take place hopefully in May… That’s ridiculous. My favorite technician in the world from Toyota works there and I just wanted him to take a quick look at my truck, but the service department is incredibly backed up . I would give their service department one star, but I went to Destination Nissan next-door and their sales department was really nice. Really efficient and wonderful. Joe is a great guy and will really work with you to find out what you want. He’s one of those people that would rather lose the sale and have you happy then make the sale and get paid. So five stars to destination Nissan sales.(Joe)…. One star for destination Kia service department… that’s because they were smart enough to hire the best tech I’ve ever worked with.

My wife and I both were in need of a new car and opted to try out the new Kia Tellurides despite us normally going with Jeep. The staff was amazing across the board, we both had the pleasure of purchasing our cars from Chris. To say Chris was great would be an understatement, he was calm, considerate, patient and spoke passionately about the brand. Never did we get a sketchy car salesman vibe, just pure professionalism. I had a great experience, my sister actually bought a car there a day or so before and its her second time working with them. Jake Mauceri was super accommodating even though I wanted to test drive and look at a million different things. He knew exactly what I was looking for in terms of features and honestly I am very happy with what we got! Everyone was really nice and worked with us on the criteria we needed which was actually really specific! So we ended up leasing a 2025 Kia Sportage PHEV X-Line Prestige and this isnt my first Kia weve had Fortes, an EV soul, 2 Sorentos, and a Niro. sorry..very nice, but not happy. Sat there over 2 hrs and nothing fixed. Call back to me came a wk and half later after. Marshall (very polite) said he would call 3/10 or 3/11. I sent 2 text messages and finally called 3/17 to see when I would get the light fixed. Now I have to wait 2 more weeks for a appointment 4/3, and sit for another 2 hours. This is for a headlight to be replaced due to moisture, under warranty, so I am sure they are not rushing since they dont make any money ,My time means nothing. I need to wait since I live 45 min away.

I had my 6 y/o son with me the first day we went and he had a blast, they have fresh popped popcorn available as a snack. He was super excited for that. These guys were great at the time of purchase for my 2025 K5 however when it comes to getting a service appointment for something computer-related and its almost 2 months out that doesnt sit too well with me. The car only has 4,000 Mi I have computer glitches and lights coming on that are concerning as was explained at the time of making my appointment for the end of March last month. I recently hit a pothole with my K5 flattened two of my tires in an area that was unavoidable with numerous potholes. I called to try to make arrangements to bring it to service and have two new tires put on with a four-wheel alignment. At first I was told that there were no openings and it was a tight fit but then after I was told that I would get a call back from someone to see what they can do the meantime. Well, I never got the phone call after making two phone calls within a couple hours of each other. Therefore I ended up taking my car to Matthews Kia instead and they got me right in the following day despite a tight schedule because they knew that I was in need of my vehicle back ASAP.They too had a booked up schedule as well and still work with me. Im not sure what Im going to do from this point on for future service appointments.

I have had a Kia since Feb 2020. Had wonderful experience then with them getting my new car .. three years later I wanted to re lease again with another forte which has had issue after issue since Feb 2023 .. anyway I went in for an appt a month ago to check in and see what my options would be if I were to get another lease, or buy out the car and drive it until it can t drive anymore .. at that appointment the people who were helping me were talking to me like a child. I don t know how cars work or the financial aspect of it is and I also told them with my dad being on with me I wouldn t be able to do anything. They kept pushing me over and over again to try and get me to accept the rate that was not even close to on the website which I understand that my car I guess has no equity to it either .. moral of the story is if you re a 27 year old girl who doesn t know much about cars or the financial aspect of it I highly would recommend not going to this dealership alone .. as of now I most likely am going to return my Feb 2026 and go elsewhere where, I don t even feel comfortable stepping into that dealership without my Dad being my back up because anytime I bring him in they do not act the way they do when he is around.

I had my appointment at 9am on Mon. Oct. 16th and Marshall was there when I got there and he took care of me. I told him the front piece of my SUV was going to be put on since it wasnt ordered since I bought my KIA Sportage at the end of March from Nissan and he got on the phone with Nick from parts and made sure they were paying for that. Marshall is the original technician since I bought my other vehicle KIA Soul in 2014 and hes taking care of me since then. I also told him that I received in mail about a software anti theft update and he told me there was another recall and I told him that my car might need oil change, and my back right tire I keep putting air in so I need that checked. He wrote it all up and told me 2hrs. and it was done at 11am and everything was taking care of and he walks me to cashier and walked me to my car as always. Hes the best at what he does. I brought my Kia carnival in for routine maintenance as an oil change and I also brought up to them that my screen decided to stop working. That was about three years ago. A year later when I brought it in for an oil change, I told them about my screen still not working And they finally said that they were going to order the part because they are all on backorder. Anytime that I have called to check on the part that they had to order. I always get the same message that it has not come in yet. Something needs to be done. I have been without a radio and a screen in my carnival for three years.

Beware of this place very bogus!! I purchased a new car from here last year and it has been the worst experience of my life to deal with this dealership! I was baited online into an appointment for a specific car and switched upon arrival, I was pressured into the purchase and basically forced to give a good rating to make them look good afterwards! I was told I needed to hurry up with the process and was rushed through it, afterwards they allowed me to drive off the lot with the new vehicle without proper registration or a state inspection sticker which I did not receive from them or get the opportunity to do a state inspection until 9 days later (all that time I was driving around illegally with the plate from my old car and had no idea ). Not to mention the fact this car has multiple issues for being a BRAND NEW 2024 and have tried many different times to reach out to several different employees there rangeing from the head boss all the way through sales, service, different managers the whole nine smh had one appointment set up by them to look into the issues but upon arrival they had no idea what I was there for or why! Took 2 hours for them to figure it out, not to mention I had to leave it with them over night and take a rental as I live out of state but the next day they proceeded to call me and tell me they cant verify NONE not one of the 9 problems Im having because they claim nothing is wrong with my car, how could they even know when they only had my car unlocked and open for less than an hour as I have valet protection on/ Kia connect and it tells me when my car doors are unlocked/locked or left unlocked. If driven over a mile from that location it would tell me but it did not so that means it was not moved to far or at all! I was told I had to hurry up and bring the rental back that day before they close or I will get charged with the rental since theres nothing wrong with my car they stated, I had to miss a whole day of work almost getting fired from my job because I had to abruptly leave during my shift in order to make it there in time since I live almost 2 hours away. Im really unhappy that I gave my business to them and now Im basically stuck.... Will not be telling any good things about destination Kia of Albany to my family or friends and definitely dont recommend buying anything from them...

Simple repair. Scheduled for 9 am on Tuesday had to call and follow up as was told initially by end of day. Called several times and finally connected with advisor. Said they could not get it in today would be first thing Wednesday. Called at 11 although was advised I would get callback at 10am. Unable to connected with Ben and mailbox is full by the way. Drove to store and was advised they could net get it done today. My business and relationship with Destination Kia is over. This is second time they disappointed me. Same issue, appointment time means nothing and communication not effective. Update on this. One problem they identified was a oil pan leak. As a result of this previous engagement Destination Kia, took my Sorrento to Garvey Kia. They identified correctly that the leak was coming from the oil filter housing and it is a known issue. Why Destination Kia had no idea about that is just added confidence in my decision to move on from them. Not skilled nor informed about the Kia product. Drove 55 minutes to Queensbury for exceptional care from Garvey Kia.

I unexpectedly needed a car and was stressed to be going through the process of purchasing one so soon after my last. I came into the dealership and was immediately helped by Johnnelle. He made the process very easy, went over every option available based off what I said I was looking for in a car, and was very patient while I was trying to determine what was best for me. Shaiquan was a pleasure to deal with at my appointment. He was very professional, polite and helpful in explaining the service work being performed on my car. A part had to be ordered to complete the repair. He explained that although the repair would be expensive, it would be covered under the Kia 10 year warranty on the power train.

Went in for an oil change. When I got home, I checked to make sure the work was done properly. I found the following issues: 1. Oil filled beyond the Full line on the dipstick 2. Oil spilled all over top of engine 3. Oil Filter Access cover missing (!) I called Destination Kia that same evening and was assured Id get a new access cover and everything would be made right. Thats the last Ive heard from them. Its been 1 week now. 2 follow up phone calls went to voicemail & 2 online requests to contact me went ignored. If you want parts of your car to go missing, have it serviced at Destination Kia.
We recently brought our Kia Sorento into Destination Kia for a scheduled service maintenance and the annual NYS inspection. While the service department seemed very busy that day, we were in and out within an hour. My wife and I are both very pleased with this fast, friendly, and efficient appointment. I needed work in my car, new brakes, rotors, etc. I was able to get an appt quickly. Marshall kept in communication with me through the entire process. It snowed overnight and Marshall started my car and cleaned it off for me while I waited inside. I am always treated well and the service is always A+.

We took the car in for regular maintenance (oil, fluids, tire rotation) and they did a great job and turned it around quickly. Julio was especially helpful throughout! The only reason this isn t 5-stars is that the maintenance plan we purchased when we leased the vehicle for 36 months was only for 30 months. I certainly would have remembered if they had said it would end 6 months earlier than the lease. And a reminder the month before expiration would have been nice since I m sure it was stated somewhere in the fine print. Having said that the Kia service person Julio gave us a 10% discount on what we had to pay, which we had expected would be no charge so they tried to be as helpful as they could

First let me say I tried working with management at the dealership before coming on here and posting a review. On January 9th I went in for oil change service. I drive a 2024 Kia carnival. When I purchase the car, I was told I had two free oil change. When I booked the appointment the representative on the phone said she saw that I had one free service left. When I got to the dealership I inquire about the free oil change left, I was told that expired a year after purchasing the vehicle. I was fine with that no problem. Marshall write up my service told me the cost will be $200 because special services is needed for 15,000 mile. I was a bit thrown off by the price. I sat down looked on Kia s website. I noticed they had a special going on for oil change and filter for $69. I went back over to Marshall. I showed him what I saw. He said it was too late to add that coupon to my service. According to the service that I was paying for, I am supposed to get all of my air filters replaced, oil change, fluid tap up and a 360 checkpoint. When I got home told my husband what had happened at the dealership, he double checked my fluids and my air filters. Turned out the fluids were NOT tapped off. And air filters was NOT changed. Contact the dealership I was told I needed to speak to Jim. Left a few message. No response, I did get a hold of Justin who works in a different department. He was very nice, but was not the right guy to help me. Finally, Monday January 13th, I heard back from Jim explained to him what happened? He said he needed to do a little bit of investigation and he would call me back by the end of the day. He did not call back. Today is Wednesday January 15 called a few times left a message still no call back. If owners of the dealership is read in this message. Please somebody get in contact with me. All I want is for them to fix what was wrong. ****Reply. Got a call from Marshall today January 16, I missed the call and I was left a voicemail. Basically saying in a nice way that they will refund my money back and I can go else where like Matthew KIA for service next time. Also on the voicemail they made sure that they emphasize that the work was completed(repeatedly 2 to 3 times) Honestly, I didn t want the money back. I just wanted them to perform the service. I guess I ll take their advice and go to Matthew next time.

Ive brought my car in multiple times trying to address a KIA authorized warranty extention for 2 separate issues. Theyve done a really great job at sidestepping the issues and not fixing what the problem was. Theyve been especially skilled at squeezing out a diagnostic fee from me on top of not addressing the factory authorized warranty extension. Shameful, slimy, corrupt, fraudulent.
Had an appointment and was taken right in. Wait time was very reasonable and everything was done to my satisfaction. This is a good place to get your Kia serviced.
