OUR HISTORY VP Supply was founded in 1965 by Marv Miller and Elliot Curwin. From its inception as a small wholesale plumbing supplier serving the greater Rochester area, it has since grown into a sprawling, multi-branch corporation serving New York and Western Pennsylvania with a wide array of products and services. While this expansion has widened the product offerings and geographic territories VP is able to service, the singular, unwavering focus on unparalleled customer service that was established decades ago has remained at the forefront.
The best customer service around. I had purchased a surround bathtub wall from Home Depot and was shipped the wrong one. HD wouldn't help expedite the new one even though it was their mistake. They said it would take up to three weeks to ship the right one. I had contractors at my house and my bathroom was torn apart. I called VP Suppy and they not only listened to me but Dan called the manufacturing company and had one shipped the same day. Just amazing customer service. I highly recconebd.
Great experience. In and out. Just how it should be.
Bought a hot water tank and had it lined up to be installed on a monday morning. Come to find out that monday morning, with my plumber waiting for the tank at VP supply, that they sold it to someone else. How does that happen when you purchase a tank and are told your name is on it? This was after confirming that monday morning that VP supply did have my tank ressy and waiting. I was livid. My plumber was livid. After some angry calls, CJ set it right and got me my water tank that afternoon, but beware: these folks don't make your life easy. Find a supply house that won't play games.
The parts gentlemen does not seem to have the ability to read their own terms. I Bought a modular thermostat, the next business day went to return it unopened. The terms on the receipt state, “ no returns on electrical special order”. This was not a special order. It was inventory on their shelf. At the end of the day you need to follow the terms that you print on your own receipts.
This place has high-quality Moen products and Gary is extremely friendly I would recommend this to anyone
They have nice stuff but you must remember they will likely charge you a 15% restocking fee if you need to return an item. As a homeowner with little expertise in building, I find that this place is best left for contractors and is not for a typical homeowner wading through their home remodeling projects.
Generally knowledgeable counter staff, but they don't always have what I need in stock. Like any wholesaler, if you buy a lot, your prices will be better, if you're just in for the occasional cheap plumbing or HVAC part, you will probably be better off going to HD or Lowes. If you want quality, this is where you get it. Update: I just bought a new hot water tank from them. For this project, they had everything I needed in stock, including a high quality commercial grade 50 Gal tank for about the same price as you would pay for HD junk.
