I went to Mavis 206 Central Ave. on 3/14/2025 I bought new tires. I had an alignment done a oil change. I changed the air filter and the cabin air filter and bought the insurance on the tires after I got home. I took my wife out for a drive to have dinner. I drove to Troy then I drove to Schenectady and I was on my way to New York City when my car started shaking and smoking I pulled over to the side of the road because the check engine light came on and I come to realize that the technician at Mavis never put my oil engine cap on the engine, I called Mavis and spoke to Jeremy and he was very rude to me saying that my check engine light was on due to a catalytic converter and I had a inspection done with no codes two hours before I even let Mavis touch my vehicle My vehicle is now leaking oil and its oil all under the hood and Jeremy is arguing with me because I am upset because I could ve got into an accident or my engine could ve seized. He was very rude and disrespectful and wasn t sympathetic when I told him that me and my family could ve gotten into a accident. He told me he didn t care about anybody. He just care about himself so I asked him what if it was his family in there and he said he doesn t care. I called corporate and I spoke to someone they were supposed to call me back about my issue. They reset my check engine light and told me I must drive the car but when I shift into drive and reverse, my car is jolting forward and backwards when I put it in reverse every time I ve gone to Mavis and they do work on my car, they give me recommendations of what I need to have done on my car. My car is in good condition and I have the paperwork to prove it while me and Jeremy was arguing the mechanic came out and I was speaking to him about my issue. He told the mechanic not to say anything to me because of legal purposes and told me don t talk to it s Machanic so we started arguing and I told him he cannot tell me that I can t speak to anyone so we almost got into a confrontation because of his rudeness I really had to keep my composure so he said he would take off my side step panels, which after my initial bill, I asked him before everything happened. How much would it be if he wants to take those off and that I was willing to pay and he couldn t do it the day that he initially worked on my car so being that he know he screwed up he offered to take my panels off for free and I told him no I don t want him to touch my car because if he tells me he doesn t care about anyone but himself then I told him there s no need for me to talk to you any further so I went home to call Mavis Headquarters corporate number again. I m just waiting for them to call me to resolve this issue my car is leaking oil. He didn t change the filter and he didn t check for damage on my vehicle as far as internal parts because I was driving without the engine cap for a few hours and he doesn t want to be responsible for the mistakes that Mavis had made with my vehicle and he s denying responsibility I am very unhappy with my service at Mavis. They didn t even give me an apology At their location, but Mavis Headquarters Apologize and I appreciate them hopefully, the people that Mavis will make things right And fixed the damage that was caused to my engine I will keep you guys posted

It was a frigid day in Albany and our tire pressure was low. Despite them being busy, Jeremy came outside and checked the pressure and topped off the tire with air at no charge and smiled the whole time. A pleasant experience which made a huge difference to the start of our day.

The negligence of the Mavis tech who worked on my vehicle, and the gaslighting from the manager who charged me for work that was either completed negligently, not completed at all, or SHOULD NOT have been done and was not authorized, sicken me. Im so livid that they charged me three thousand dollars for work that could have killed me and my passengers as well as anyone else on the road I couldve taken out when my car broke down due to their negligence. They are refusing to take responsibility and they have denigrated my vehicle, turning it into something I dont even want after they destroyed it. Do not go here, you will regret it.

Crooked People! They tried to charge me 600.00 to do 2 front swaybar links. Took my car to my mechanic and put them on for 85.00 and 40.00 for the bars.

bizarre experience here. first off I did get what I ultimately came in for, for a mostly decent price. but they couldnt tell me with 100% certainty if the rotation I requested had been done, so they didnt charge for that. but the atmosphere of the inside office seems disproportionately stressed out, to a point of miscommunication as well as customers feeling like a burden. I genuinely worried for the guys health in our few minutes together.
