Grainger Industrial Supply in Albany

I have a mixed review about this place. First of all the people there are pretty nice, we had a good conversation, pickup was generally pretty easy and they even helped me carry the stuff out to my car. But I had a couple of issues, I ordered 5 sets of boxes but when I picked up. I only received 4, I didn't check the stack and I guess I should have, I assumed the guy running to get the items in the back was checking it against my order sheet. That's a bit annoying, but I suppose we both should have checked it. Now I'm missing $30 worth of boxes :/ Secondly, the boxes I did receive were badly damaged, I ordered several stacks of double walled boxes to hold inventory and they were in rough shape, bad dents and water damage. I told the lady about that and she said fed ex is rough with their handling... okay sure but I should be getting new merchandise if I am paying for new boxes. I hate supporting Uline but their boxes come clean and crisp with no damage. Finally, their hours suck. It's very hard to find time as a 9-5er to stop by especially since I live 45 minutes away. I'd love it if Grainger could improve because I would much rather support their business the other places.

What a pleasure it is to deal with the staff at Grainger in Albany. They are always willing to go above and beyond and are knowledgeable about a vast array of products. They always have products in stock and if not will be there the next day by 8am. John has always made me experience enjoyable. I will continue using this facility for the foreseeable future.
