You know youre getting old when youre writing a five-star review for a vacuum store...but, this place is the bomb; knew everything to know about my machine and seemingly all others, and got it repaired in like-new order despite the broken part being discontinued by the manufacturer

Please go somewhere else! This store is charging for work they did not do, as it was obvious when I started my machine and it made the same noise/issue! Bad business and the owner is rude!

This place is awesome! I can always get what I need for my 22 year old Miele. Occasionally small things need to be repaired/replaced and Lexington does a great job and doesn t try to push you into a new vacuum!

There is a very good reason this business has been around the Albany area for so many years. It always shoots straight and invariably charges fair prices. It can repair almost any vacuum as illustrated by its recent repair of my 35-year-old Hoover upright, which, post repair operated as efficiently as the day I purchased it. When subsequently an irreplaceable plastic part gave way, it performed an in-store repair, while I waited, that will most likely keep the machine operating until the motor breathes its last breath. I have patronized it for decades because of service just like that. And, if you are looking for a new vacuum this business is uniquely situated (due to years of experience) to tailor your purchase to your individual needs. Sound too good to be true? I suggest you patronize it yourself and find out that there is no exaggeration in this testimonial. And, they even sharpen knives!

We purchased a SEBO AIRBELT K3 Premium vacuum cleaner in November 2020 from Lexington Vacuum on Central Ave. in Albany. Marty and Ron were both very helpful in showing us all the great features of this vacuum. I like the fact that its well made, compact, and the attachments are convenient and easy to use. You can tell that there was a lot of thought put into making this vacuum. The suction adjustment switch on the handle is very convenient. It comes with all the basic attachments you need, but there are a variety of extra ones you can purchase. While in the store, numerous people came in, saw what we were buying, testified to having had their SEBO for years, and were singing its praises. They ensured me that we would love it and we do!

Ive been to several vacuum stores for purchase and repair. Lexington vacuum is by far the best in terms of customer service, knowledge, choice of products and friendliness. I have two older vacuums and the repairs have been done quickly and perfectly. Marty, the owner and his staff, are so friendly and very knowledgeable. What a terrific store, I cant say enough.

I had a great experience with Lexington Vacuum. The powerhead on my vacuum cleaner broke and it was under warranty. I took it to another repair shop and after 2 months they said they could not get the part and could not repair it. I took it to Lexington Vacuum and had it back in 3 days. I had to have a new powerhead because the other store did not return all of the internal pieces. I highly recommend them.

I think this place is one of few profestional retail store they value customer satisfaction over all else they have line of true quality equipment that is worth the investment they also service what they sell right there too

Yesterday I was at your store to purchase vacuum bags. I saw two employees, one was wearing a mask and the one that waited on me was not. I found this to me VERY DISRESPECTFUL to me as a customer. I should have said something then, but did not. I have been a customer for over 30 years, purchasing several vacuums and many years of annual cleaning. I will be taking my business elsewhere even if it inconveniences me.

Absolutely amazing! After purchasing a vacuum we decided it was not what we needed. So we came back 2 weeks later and they refunded every penny even though we didnt have all the packaging. I love this place! Have been coming here for years and hope they never close.

What a pleasure to find a knowledgeable and skilled repair.person in the age of throw it away and buy a new one. Ron was able to take parts from two broken vacuum power heads and build me one as a back up to my system. My only regret is that I had already purchased a new power head on line before I went to Lexington. Next purchase will be from them. They know what they are selling, how to repair it and how to help me make costly mistake purchases. Curbside service during the pandemic as well.!!!!! I have purchased from them before and gotten service on my central vacuum system. They always deliver!

Went in with a good sense of what I wanted. The owner still took the time to explain my options even after I revealed I was looking at the higher end units. I appreciated that open and honest conversation even knowing it might result in my buying a less expensive vacuum. He made sure the attachments would fit the needs of my house, including a larger wood floor attachment that will reduce my vacuuming time. He also walked me though some good home maintenance tips for better performance. You dont get that service at a big box or on-line store. Happy I shopped local!

This is the place to go to buy a vacuum. Marty was so helpful and knowledgeable and cared about my vacuuming needs, like type of flooring and how thick or thin the carpet is. I went in seeking a canister vacuum but ended up leaving with an upright which was less than I thought I d need to spend. Marty explained each vacuum and then I tried them out and for my small apt. the upright was the way to go. The vacuum so far seems to have everything I was looking for and so far I m very happy with it. Such a pleasure to shop and get superb customer service in this horrible world of online, cold shopping today where you can t see, feel touch and take the product home with you. Also, if there is any problem in the future they repair and service for you right in their store. Thank you Marty for a wonderful experience shopping and buying a new vacuum.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. It has been 5 months I have been waiting for my vacuum. They constantly blame Dyson for the length of time it is taking. One guy tells me it is ready then when I drive 20 miles to get it, it is not actually ready. This has happened three times now. Was disrepsected twice by an employee on the phone telling me to take it up with Dyson that it is not their fault. Was told my last name would not suffice for the order, but who has that information 5 months later, he just did not want to take the time to do it. Was told 3 months ago it was an easy fix and would be fixed in a couple days. During the 5 months I never received updates on the status or anything. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am the owner of my own business and would never treat anyone the way I have been. No apologies, they place blame like my 6 year old. Would never do business with them again and I warn you to stay away from this terribly run business. Already called everyone we know who recommended them to us, and are making sure they never step foot back in this business. Check your staff and your business, word of mouth will ruin a company.

So far so good. My mother has been bringing things to be fixed to Lexington for ages. They consistently exceed expectations, especially with regard to their customer service. I recently brought my vacuum to be fixed and my experience was no different.

Wonderful wonderful service. Very knowledgeable and experienced gentlemans working there and happy to serve. They worked on my vacuum cleaner immediately and was happy to do it. I will be back and I will tell everyone I know about this place. This was my third spot trying to get help with my two vacuum cleaners and now this will be my first spot moving forward.

In my lifetime I have used several repair service centers for various items that needed fixing. It is very hard to find a place that does it all. Over the last few years I have had the pleasure of finding and using Lexington Vacuum, 997 Central Avenue, Albany, NY. I have had several items repaired including my grandsons toy truck, two separate vacuums serviced, and the purchase of a new Nellie Mop and vacuum cleaner. I am thrilled to have finally found a business that has very knowledgeable, helpful, and service-oriented professionals. Recently took my Kirby into these guys and they were superb. It just needed servicing, under a $100 and i was set. Great customer service, Im very happy so far so good.

I had a wonderful experience at Lexington Vacuum. I have a black lab with light colored rugs. Not a good mix. The staff here were so patient and helpful. They directed me to the Sebo collection and walked me through all their styles. I ultimately decided on the k3 series. I came right home to try it out and I was amazing. All the black dog hair came right out!! I have never seen my carpets so clean. Thank you Lexington Vacuum! I would highly recommend!!

Buying an appliance from Lexington Vacuum was one of the the best purchases Ive ever made. The product that my wife and I bought, a Miele vacuum, is awesome and the service behind it is outstanding. They also have a selection of other products, like vacuum attachments and cleaning products, that make the trip to the store worthwhile every time. Its nice to have a friendly smile welcome you when you walk through a door too. Im a fan and a customer and I recommend Lexington to anyone needing their products/services.

Third time Ive been there and the owner Marty has been every bit as rude and condescending as he was the first time I met him. I initially went in to buy a Miele vacuum cleaner a year and a half ago and his condescending attitude turned me off so I bought elsewhere. Id rather pay more for better customer service and attitude than save a few bucks only to be berated by a disgruntled owner/employee! I figured Id give them one more chance and came back with a simple repair which he called stupid and said he wouldve charged me more. The fact that Ive been to this business three times and the OWNER has treated me in a very patronizing way shows me he does not care about business. Ive heard similar complaints from other people and will now avoid this local business as the owner has proven he does not care about customer service.

I had to wait for the part but I liked the atmosphere and I thought the staff was personable and capable

I had a mechanical failure on a vacuum that fell under warranty, so I was directed to Lexington Vacuum as an authorized repair center. When I walked in the front door I heard boisterous singing from a back room where a man was working on repairs. He came out to greet me quickly (still singing). After I explained the issue he took the unit from me and had the broken part swapped out within just a few minutes! I had expected to leave the unit there for a few days at least! Another store employee stayed and spoke with me while I waited. The employees here were extremely friendly and cheerful, and the service was top notch. The vacuum is now functioning without a problem.

I just recently moved and I needed a good new vacuum that would last. I did not know where to start, I found Lexington Vacuum Online. I stopped in and received the best Customer Service. Marty the owner helped me and he was so patient with all my questions, He was very knowledgeable so friendly. I have bad allergies, especialy when I vacuum, He put me into a Miele vacuum. This vacuum is incredible and I can already tell the difference with my breathing.
