My daughter had a appointment today in they didn t even know she had a appointment we got here at 11:40 no one was here call the person said they are in Clifton park they said they didn t know she had a appointment so the guy got here at 12:22 that so unprofessional the lady that made the appointment the guy in Clifton park said that it wasn t in there system so if we didn t call the place in just wait longer no one would have show up I try to reach out to the owner but no one called me back poor customer service paying over 3 in change in had to wait poor customer service how she didn t let them know that sad business have given her 300 total paid more

i would recommend going here if you want your money stolen from you.

Told me the price was under 350 after tax then I got a text saying they wanted more than $500. That is crazy. Definitely not spending my money here.

Had my 2012 Jetta Se tinted at the Clifton park location, after about 4-5 days I noticed the air bubbles were getting worse. Called up and they made me another appointment to have everything replaced at the Albany location. it s been a few weeks now and I noticed there s A few spots that have some bubbles, but it s an older car and I get some cars are harder to tint than others. I will say i definitely recommend tint star! They are more than willing to fix any mistakes that might pop up. The employees were all very professional and more than willing to fix the mistakes.

I scheduled an 11am appointment for window tinting on my BMW 750 and was told on the phone it was $299. Drove an hour there and was told it was 12pm when I arrived, so I waited for an hour and when it was time I was told it was now $399.99. THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH. I left and would not recommend their service to anyone. Actually I found out its illegal for companies to tint windows in the state of NY. I will be contacting the proper authorities to notify them of bait and switch practice and they are window tinting.

My daughter brought her vehicle there last year to have her windows tinted. She asked them to make sure they were legal. One year later, her car wont pass inspection because the tint is too dark for NYS. I called today to ask what they recommend. The person that answered asked what type of car she has. When I told them it was a Honda Civic, he told me that in NY that tint is illegal on sedans and coups and that she would have to come back in, pay $165 plus tax and they would remove the tint so it would pass. To confirm I understood him clearly, I asked, so you illegally tint windows knowing they wont pass inspection then charge to have it removed? He said yes. Its at the owners discretion and we tell this to our customers. Completely taking advantage of people, primarily young people. Would not recommend.

Scheduled an appointment to have my car tented. They waited two hours before the appointment to tell me that they don t accept cash.

they do a great job. It s just very expensive I wouldn t care so much if around inspection time they wouldn t charge you so much just to take them off and put them back on. It s literally like 200 bucks. And that s just for like two windows smh

Windows came out great!

Got my panoramic sunroof tinted here with ceramic tint. A little put off when I noticed that the tint did not reach the front and back part of the glass as you can see in the pictures. When I questioned it, they said that it would peel otherwise. Not sure if I believe that since I have had this done on 2 other vehicles at Tint World and the glass was fully covered and never peeled. Unfortunately they closed so I decided on tint star based on other reviews. It just doesnt look right.

They Were so kind and professional!

Tint came put great, gave me a few tips on how to keep the looking good and offered free replacement if white spots came up in the windows. Overall very happy with the time it took to complete and the final outcome. Definetely recommend.

Requested quote through facebook, as the facebook page says you can do and was left on read; not totally sure why. Having my tints and wrap done elsewhere!

1. Overpriced: 2 fronts cost $150. 2. The location of this place is hard for customers to find any parking and we are not allowed to enter even though we have an appointment. 3. Service is zero star if I could rate. The lady is impatient and not willing to help. 4. The process is inefficient. Although we arrived at the appointment time, we were not allowed to enter. Instead, they impatiently asked us to find a parking somewhere nearby. Again its super hard to find a parking spot near central Ave. And I cant imagine even if we were able to find a parking and when it would be our turn to get tint done. Hence, I believe the process would be much longer than they told us. Overall, NOT RECOMMEND

Very fast and convenient! Had them do 5% on an entire 22 4Runner, with a sun strip, and there is not one bubble or scratch in the tint. They were able to go around the rear defroster lines and perfectly match the 5% over the whole truck, even with the factory tint in the back.

Place was very professional. Staff is very friendly and tint job is fantastic! Without doubt best tint shop in the area!

The guys at Tint Stars were top notch! I was in and out in under an hour and half for a full tint(not windshield) of my 2016 Subaru Impreza. They were friendly and professional! This was a recommendation from a friend who had their car tinted from them, and I most certainly would recommend mine!

Great place to go if youre looking for profound inexperience but want to pay professional prices. If youre expecting your neighbors high school kids who thought tinting cars was cool and wanted to see how many bubbles and hairs they could get away with putting in the tint then this is the place for you. Ive been there 3 times now as they offer a lifetime warranty. What they wont tell you is each time you go there, the job will take longer and look worse, essentially nullifying the purpose of the warranty. While in the lobby my third time, I legitimately heard the technician who was screening phone calls recommend the competition for a couple of basic cars potential customers were looking to have tinted as those cars are beyond the experience level of our technicians and we recommend Tint King or Infamous Graphics. The difficult cars in question to tint? A GTI and a Corvette. So moral of the story, go anywhere but here if youre looking for a tint job without bubbles, hairs, trapped water, or windows tinted to the same size as the sheet of tint being used. OH! Almost forgot to mention, you better have time carved out to give your vehicle a thorough wash afterwards as it will leave their garage covered in the pasty adhesive they use for the tint application. Solid F on all fronts. I have already had the pleasure of deterring multiple people from doing business with this joke of an establishment.

The tint job itself was acceptable, however afterwords there was a pattern of scratches on the hood that I could only make sense were from scissors or some other cutting instrument used for the film. The vehicle was a brand new BMW X5 picked up from the dealer the day prior, so am unable to pin these scratches on anything else. Upon initial contact with the owner he was confident they werent responsible, going as far as offering to review and send me video footage from when my vehicle was in the shop, however when it came to actually sending me the footage he claimed the file was too large and was unable or unwilling to send me anything. Suspicious to say the least. No other means for me to review the footage was offered. If youre looking for a decent tint job at the expense of mysterious scratches on your car this is the place for you, otherwise I would go elsewhere.

Anytime I want to tint my car the only place I have ever taken my cars is Tint Star! They have tinted every vehicle I have owned for the past 7 years! Rob is great and the staff is very accommodating and professional. I see no need to go anywhere else. Nobody s perfect but if a mistake is made they bend over backwards to make it right! Showed up to my appointment slightly early. Was greeted as soon as i entered, and after confirming who i was, my car was promptly pulled around back. I unfortunately had to wait for it, and they had my car completed in about 45 minutes when i was expecting a two hour wait. They even installed my rear window spoiler for me too, and it looks perfect. Only issue, is two slight defects i found, that i will have to bring back to have looked at. Other than that, i couldnt have asked for a better experience at Tint Star. Id recommend anybody looking to have tinting done to contact them.

Tint star is the place to go if you want tints on your vehicle. Now they have what they call a peel deal, where you have them tint your vehicle and when its time for your inspection they will remove it and reinstall for a fair price, you are not going to find another place that will give you such a deal. All my vehicls had been tint by them and their work is awesome you dont believe me ask around.

Rob and his staff did a fantastic job detailing my vehicle today. I dropped it off in the morning, and picked it up right at 4pm. They exceeded my expectations, and the attention to detail was precise. It s the best detail my car has had since owning it (6 years).

Ive been dealing with this shop for a few years now and theyve done great work! I cant complain about anything; from tints to lighting, rims/tires and vinyl work theyve done it all for a reasonable price and the quality is grade a without a doubt. Customer service is 10/10 and very informative about tint laws and tinting in general. They laser cut the tint so there s no razor blades on your window like most places. PS: get the glass cleaner it s ammonia free so your tint won t turn purple and it also works as an amazing all purpose cleaner. Overall 12/10!

Having been a 10 year customer of tint star, Ive watched the place go through a lot of changes to the shop. The last few years, the staff has been nothing but top notch. The guy that runs the joint will literally drop what hes doing to answer a question or right a wrong. 10/10

I had my 99 Vw Jetta tinted in 2008 and people all across the country always ask me where I got my tint done. It has been in extreme California desert heat for 3 years and still looks as good as the day it was installed (not a single bubble or mark). It is a shame that NYS is creating a tough environment for small businesses like Tint Star by cracking down on window tint.

Horrible people with horrible quality products. Has complete morons working for him. Whoever drives the Honda civic was rude and inconsiderate. More worried about his cell phone. And I also worried if he was stealing from my car. You will NEVER GO HERE if you know anything about cars

They changed the price of the service multiple times from the time of the call to schedule the appointment throughout the entire service. They were unable to hold my first appointment which was time constrained and they were aware at time of scheduling and which I was on time for. They were messy. They left glue all over my car and streaks all over my windows.

My tints were hand cut.. and that requires skill. Id much rather my tints be hand cut than computer cut. Rob and the guys stand by their work and will redo your tints if they bubble or discolor.

They just exceeded my expectations. Very professional staff, willing to answer all questions and or concerns. Reasonably priced tint for top of the line quality, not to mention the speedy and precise work, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had an awful stain on the headliner of my car from a frozen/exploded can of ginger ale. Was told by several other shops they didnt want to do it. This is the place for window tint in the Albany area!!! After calling around to different tint shops, I decided to go to Tint Star. They quoted the best price & Told me it would only take an hour or so. My last 3 tint jobs at other placed in the area have been mediocre at best, so I figured I would try them out this time. The guy who tinted my car did an outstanding job & was very quick. While I was there I asked the salesman about a problem I was having with my alarm. He went out and took a look at it. He quickly figured out the problem & actually fixed it free of charge (even though I did not get the alarm from them)!! Great customer service, and a great tint job. I will never go any place else!!
