Mark is amazing. I came to him last minute without an appointment. I was desperately looking for a mechanic to look at my car so I wouldn't need to take a rental on a vacation I had planned this weekend; my fiancee called him and told her he was more than willing to look at it the same day and see what he could do. He was able to diagnose the issue and attempted the cheaper way of fixing it first (my throttle body was acting up) and from his experience normally cleaning it is all it takes to fix the issue. He stayed late so I could pick it up and when on the way home it went back to acting up he stayed even later so I could get my car back to him and made sure before he left the store for the night I had a ride home. He replaced my throttle body for me the next day and got it back to me before noon. He saved my life and I can't thank him enough. And while people say he has no people skills I'd argue that he's honestly just straight to the point. He's not gonna sugar coat his words and dance around it. He's gonna tell you exactly what was wrong, what probably caused it, and how he fixed it. I live 30 to 45 minutes from his shop and he sold me in one visit to make him my mechanic for the rest of my life. THANK YOU SO MUCH MARK!!!
Never go here. He is rude, has the worst attitude, and gives no care to customer service. My first time, i gave him the benefit of doubt, but the next time i went he ended up SCAMMING me. He’s an angry old man that needs to just retire. I have gone to him many times but after this i’ll NEVER come back. He cares more about money then his customers. There are much better places to go to then here. Don’t waste your time or money.

I just used Turnpike Auto for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. Mark is great, I dropped my car off in the morning and I was able to pick it up in the afternoon. He charged a fair price and I feel like I can trust him.
Made an appointment on Tuesday to bring my car Thursday night - car ended up busting the serpentine belt Wednesday afternoon. I had my car towed to Turnpike Auto and Mark thankfully took my car in. Was expecting not to get my car back until Friday at the earliest - he called me around 12:30pm on Thursday saying my car's fixed. Super quick! And he charged a fair market rate for the services performed (replaced AC compressor and serpentine belt, recharged AC and filled with freon). I'm thrilled to have found a fantastic mechanic!
I Highly Recommend Turnpike Auto!!! Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. My 2012 Acura runs like new! Mark took the time to walk me through exactly what was done on my car. He showed me all of the parts removed and gave me comparisons of what the healthy part should look like and now does, because of Mark being a fantastic mechanic! I cannot thank him enough for fixing my vehicle; it is now safe to drive again and I am thankful for Mark’s professionalism and expertise.

Several months ago Mr Anan called me around noon to bring his car in at 430 to get a brake issue looked at while he waited. Having a full schedule that day I informed him that if he dropped the car off I would look at it when I had a chance, but probably wouldnt be able to fix it that day. He then told me he didnt want it fixed that day, but just looked at. I then told him I already had a busy day and that I wouldnt be able to look at it at 430 while he waited and perhaps another day would be better. Then for the third time he said he just wanted to have it looked at that day at 430. I then said that i would not be interested in looking at his car at 430. he then replied that I was rude, and proceeded to write a review stating that I was rude and a bad mechanic. He has never been at my shop so I dont know how he can rate my mechanical abilities.
We drove in with a low tire, punctured with a screw. The operator dropped everything to help us, very kind and professional. He saved our day!
My car was making a terrible noise and I knew that I shouldn t be driving it until the problem was diagnosed. Other shops were booked for weeks but Turnpike Auto welcomed me to come in at the end of their long day to at least see what the problem was. It turned out to be loose heat shield hardware that was fixed on the spot at an extremely affordable rate. Stress free evening thanks to above and beyond service.
If you ever have any trouble in and around Albany, Call and ask for mark the owner. He Is an extremely reputable individual. I live in Southern New York And was towed to his shop.. My vehicle needed a new alternator, And it was on a Friday before busy weekend.. He received the car about 12-1 oclock.. I picked the car up from him about 5 pm If you read this ,, a big thank you Mark!!!

Mark was so helpful in telling me what needed to be done. Not overly pushy or money hungry acting. I called him this morning and dropped my car off at noon and had it returned to me within 4 hours. I had the rear breaks and rotors done as well as the front tyrod and he noticed the back plate light out and fixed that as well. I need and inspection in 2 months and will be going to Mark for that and any further repairs. Thanks a million Mark!!!

Mark is an excellent mechanic, honest and fair, which makes for a good combination. Started bringing my car to Mark about 3 years ago and he just finished working on 2 of my cars. I have no complaints with the price or work and will continue having my cars serviced there.
Mark is a trustworthy mechanic. He will take his time to look at the problem and shares his explanation of fixes while allowing you to view the worn out replaced parts. He is beyond accommodating in scheduling you to come in with a problem and work tirelessly to get your vehicle back to you in good standing. Thanks for all you hard work.
This guy has no customer service or communication skills what so ever. He might be good mechanically, but he should really take the time to work on the way he interacts with his customers. After all, they are the bread and butter of his business. A friend of mines daughter ended up leaving his shop in tears. Maybe Mr. Mark was having a bad day on that particular day, but I guess he lost it on my friends daughter over the phone when she called him at the end of the day to ask his what was going on with her car (she dropped the car off to him at 8:00 that morning). From what I understand, the phone conversation ended with him telling her he didnt like her or want her to come back, and I quote I dont like Volkswagens, so thats another strike you have against you. I was totally appalled when I heard about this. Mark, learn some manners, my friend. Without your customers, you would be nothing.
I dont go anywhere else. Mark is completely honest and fair on all accounts. My husband and I have been using him for a few years and dont have one complaint.
