My experience with this company was nothing short of phenomenal. My car that needed to be towed was in a parking garage that was too short for the tow truck to enter. 99% of people would have said sorry, can t help you. But Reece from Bang s Towing went above and beyond and offered to try to jump start my car to get it outside of the garage. And it worked! He really saved my day ! I would never recommend anyone use Bangs towing. They tried to take advantage of us after a car accident and it felt like they were holding our car hostage. They refused to tell us the costs coming up with tons of excuses and mocked me on the phone. I spoke to them the day of the accident and gave permission for my insurance company to look at the car. Then a week later, only after I called, they told me they couldn t allow my carrier to look at the car since I didn t fill out the paperwork they never told me about. They are all about keeping cars longer and lining their own pockets.

They cane before the estimated time. Eric is a cool guy.

Had my corvette towed for service. Not an easy job towing a corvette. Louis was absolutely the best. Knows his stuff, knowledgeable and super super courteous. Great guy!!!

I am really grateful to Bangs Towing for helping us on a difficult day. My husband and I were at a funeral and our car gave out at the cemetery. Sauri came to our aid and was the highlight of our day. He was so professional and kind. He arrived quickly. We explained to him what we needed, and he was ready and confident to get it done and got our car to its destination. He was a pro. Cant say enough good things about him. Bangs should do what it takes to retain him because he is excellent.

When you choose this towering. They wont tell you on the phone it cost 75 per day for parking. You can only find the price on their wall. They will ask you to sign the release first. And this means they will junk your car without notice you soon. You cant find your certificate-mail in your mail box though they said they sent the notice . Then it cost $125 to get your plate back. Good luck when your car is there

Shout out to these guys for helping me at 3AM. My cars extremely low and we were still able to get it on the bed without scraping or anything! I would 100% recommend this company if you need a tow.

They are very rude and charges extra money without any explaination. There was a guy who came from inside the office was way more rude made some bad comments about our race. We asked for the supervisor just to clarify the charges and they said there is no supervisor and later they said the rude guy from the office who made bad comment about our race was their supervisor and when we asked for his name, the receptionist said he is not allowed to provide his supervisor name. Please do not use this company anytime because they will rob you for sure. They are the biggest scammer of towing.

IF YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED??? LOOK NO FURTHER THAN BANGS TOWING. Imagine your loved one got into a car accident and Bangs Towing comes and hauls the car away without giving you any options on where it could be towed like an auto body repair shop or your home just to get smacked in the face with a $499.67 bill in which you would have to drive to Amityville to pay IN CASH ONLY??? ATROCIOUS!!!

The hybrid battery on my Toyota died so once we submitted the report through our insurance, we were able to quickly get assistance from Bangs Towing. They called us to confirm our report and location. Within 20 minutes, they arrived at our location which was very efficient. The driver was very kind and extremely reliable. 10/10 service

I got into a bad situation and they pulled me out.

What happened? Good drivers but recently met a driver at auto repair place and he had been given the wrong address. OK--so not uncommon for the person taking messages to fail to listen ...but then had a similar problem that required multiple calls from another location (and over 2 hour wait) and then they picked up the wrong truck on the third round. That truck had a sign on it, had been recently towed home by them, we had received that invoice so it was in their records. It was supposed to go to a mechanic. I had to pick up hay so put a printed sign on the windshield, and described the truck and the sign for the first call. I returned with my hay (hours later ) and truck was still here. I called and was told theyd pick it up soon but soon had not happened and I had to leave for another errand. I returned and they had picked up the wrong truck, the one with NO sign on it. I called and again was assured they would make the swap before my work day was over and the first man on the phone was dismissive and unprofessional. I did not raise my voice, did not swear but I had now encountered multiple problems that were ridiculous and indicated the person on the other end of the phone was unable to take down information. I was assured by the second man (a more reasonable person) that the swap would happen before 3pm. More calls and the driver came closer to 7pm. I had to wait because at this point, I could not trust them. Now...I have to say this...their drivers have always been excellent and Ive used them for years, always impressed by the service. But really....get a notepad and write down information correctly.

Great Company! I called them and they were here in less than hour. The gentleman towing my car in my driveway, towed it with great precision, exactly into the spot I needed it to be. His name was Leo and he also helped me to decide if I should fix the car or junk it. I felt like I was talking to a family member who cared to give me the best advice. My family and I have tried many different towing companies over the years and I have to be truly honest, Bangs Towing in Amityville is hands down the best towing company we ve ever used. I never leave reviews but after the experience I had with this company, and my dad too, I felt it was deserved. I got stuck on the side of the LIE late at night. I called Bangs Towing and they were there in NO TIME!! Fastest service I ve ever had! The driver John was very professional, polite and fast. I m telling you, if you need a tow, this is an A+++ company!

Had the best experience with Bang s Towing company. They were quick and reliable. My car stopped working an hour away from home and I had my kids with me. After waiting for over three hours for the insurance company to send a tow truck, we called Bang s and they saved the day! The driver, Camilo was very friendly and experienced. He got us home safe and sound. My husband was also very impressed with the way Camilo maneuvered the car to fit it in tight spot at our mechanic s lot! Would highly recommend!

I had a very bad experience with this company. They told me it was gonna be an hour(Tow Truck). I called an hour later, asking how much longer. The lady on the phone told me 15 more minutes. 45 minutes later, I called back. Got Hung up on by the same lady. Then when I return the phone call again. A man(Manager said his name is anthony) picked up very nasty telling me. Do I want to cancel? I simply explained i got disconnected and was wondering when tow truck is coming i have an appointment at the dealer needed to know what the update was he then hung up.

I had an accident 4/29 and I had no choice but to get my car towed here, it was there for three days and the first 24 hours is free mind you , and a $50 fee for everyday it s held. They tried to charge me almost $800 dollars from the southern state to their yard which was less than 4 miles away. I tried negotiating because I knew it was off and still paid over $600 dollars for the tow which makes no sense. Flat rate was less than 200 . forgot what it was exactly maybe $125-$175. Please make sure you have a place in mind incase you get into an accident because you will be taken advantage of.

My cousin had a accident 2 blocks from the shop And they towed the car to de shop and later the same day they towed the car to my cousins house which is a mile away from them shop and they charge my cousin $548 which is too much for a short drive

I was stranded in Brooklyn. Every tow company was rude and didn t help at all. I live in Seaford, so I made an attempt and called Bangs Towing. The lady on the phone (wish I knew her name) was so polite and so helpful. They were willing to send a truck to help me out. The driver Camilo was very communicative, and updated me on his ETA right up until he arrived. When he did arrive he was super cool, super professional, and I had a great ride back talking with him. I had begun to think there was no help there for me but Bamgs came through and I ll forever be grateful for it. Give them a chance! I most certainly will not give anyone but them one. After the upset of being in an accident caused by a reckless, careless driver who had no business even being on the road, when we went to Bangs Towing to sign a release, we were made to either stand out in the cold while trying to fill out their forms or walk back to our rental car down the block. I have a 1997 Toyota that is always breaking and giving me issues but out of all the tow companies Geico has sent me Bangs Towing has been the best. The both times I was towed by them I had a pleasant experience with both drivers.

Got in to and accident yesterday guess who the police call yes bang towing they are all working together any ways I told them I have my towing company coming they say no it has to be bangs to take your car by the way, this was not on the highway so it all started there ..I told them I want my car drope off to my house the guy say no I told him I live a few blocks down he say no I say I m paying cash he say no I say where is my car going he say to there yard I say no!!! the police say let the man do it s job I kept insistent I didn t want my car going there but he hooked up my car, ignoring me and just took off next day I showed up at 11 AM to pick up my car mind you it was only 16 hours later they charge me a storage fee on top of that they didn t allow me to take my car unless they were the only wants to tow the vehicle out I say have my guy picking up they say no so they got me for my money all the way around I hope you guys read this I see you in court you them thief !! They gave me Bangs towing. after waiting 1:20 hours called the dispatcher. dispatcher said i m not coming there because i m all the way out in long island and i cancelled that hours ago, talk to your insurance company. bangs could have at least called me to let me know they re not coming. Bangs please don t work with insurance agencies if you can t do your job please

I had my car towed through my insurance from work to a different mechanic way further just so I could walk to it from home. The driver was incredibly kind and helpful, and made a stressful situation so much better. If I ever have issues in the future I ll take my car there in a heartbeat.

Would give less stars if possible. This is the absolute worst towing company. They are apparently contracted to service the Southern State Parkway (or possibly just a certain stretch of it?) and because of this, you can ONLY use them for services in that area. Since that is the case, they do not care about their customers - since theres no choice given to the customer. I had to wait 4+ hours on the side of the parkway, in 95 degree weather in a hot car. They told me 20-30mins. That turned to 4hours. They would not give me any updates other than they would be there soon. When I asked if I could leave (have someone pick me up) and maybe get a call when they were actually en-route and was told no. I had to remain with the car the entire time - but they could not say how much longer that would be. How does it make any sense for this to be the ONLY towing company that can assist you on this part of the SSP, if they do not even have the manpower/trucks to manage it?

Five star service! Our car was hit at the South Shore Mall in Bay Shore and the police called a local tow truck and body shop. John from Bangs showed up and made us comfortable in having our car towed to his shop. Received a call from the owner Richie who explained the process and also put us at ease. He was great every step of the way. Car was repaired quickly and Superbly. Very friendly staff, especially Kathleen who helped with our paperwork. Honest and reliable and I highly recommend them. Scam amd fraud, the retain your vehicle thw most time posible to charge that to your insurance. IT IS ILLEGAL, PEOPLE TAKE CONTROL OVER YOUR CAR, they can not stop if you insurance already authorized.

Overcharged towing with terrible attitude towards public

When I got into this accident on the Southern State I was so nervous because I didnt know who was going to be able to tow my car because clearly it was not drivable. The state trooper contacted the towing company and it was Bangs towing. They came very fast and towed my car to the shop. I was put at ease right away when I met Richie, the service manager. He was very professional and said they would take care of me and my car. They even called around to help me look for a rental car. After my adjuster looked at the car I found out that it would take a couple of weeks to be repaired so I was very optimistic that I had a great team working on my car. Again, this is a company that I have never used before. I spoke with Kenny very frequently with updates and he was very efficient and thorough. It did take a little longer than 2 weeks because of certain parts that were not available. All and all once my car was ready to be picked up I got to the shop and I almost cried. I could not believe it that my car looked brand new, like I just bought it. The detailed my car inside and out!! I was so satisfied and happy. I am forever grateful for the hard work that everyone put into making my car look like new. I highly recommend this company if you ever need body work done. I would give 10 stars if possible...

a real bunch of thivies 800 dollars to tow a car of the highway

Bangs towed my car after an accident and I subsequently used them for the required auto body work. Insurance companies were a hassle but Kenny kept in constant contact with me. He even ordered most of the parts before the adjuster even finished her job. When the job was completed, I was amazed at what my vehicle looked like. As good as new. Tremendous job by this company. They even cleaned the car inside and out. Top notch service all the way around. Danny , one of the mechanics, was aces. Would highly recommend Bangs Towing and Auto Body.

I was stuck at Robert Moses State Park with a flat. The tire would not come off. My insurance company was sending someone to help out but when he heard that the tire would not come off he would not come. Park employees suggested Bangs Towing to help me out. I went to pick up the car the very next morning to transport it to a collision shop when i was received by their collision manager. I believe his name is Kenny. Don t quote me on the name this was over a month ago. He convinced me to let them do the repairs. I decided to avoid all the hassle of transporting it to a diff shop n let bangs do the work. The entire drivers side of the vehicle was damage, serious suspension/brakes/wheels damage. The manager was very on top of the repair process. I received every little update over text. Communication between bangs and myself was above and beyond expectations. My car was returned freshly detailed, I ve worked at a few collision shops myself. And i can t tell where they blended the paint it s perfectly matched to the original paint. The car looks like it just rolled out of the Honda plant

Bangs Towing, Inc. My initial experience was very disturbing only because the woman I spoke with when I got there was not very nice. I was quoted a price that seemed way more than my understanding. After leaving i called back to go over the bill. I was treated very rudely by one of the customer service reps. My husband asked to speak with the manager and upon speaking to her I was assuaged! Yesterday my 20 yr old son was sent from Toms River NJ to Farmingdale NY by his work to pick up packages from their warehouse. His car completely dies after picking up packages. Phone battery is almost dead and he s stuck in a very unfamiliar area with mostly warehouses. Our insurance said it would be hours before they could get someone out, he called 8 towing places, most didn t respond or told him him they couldn t do it. Then Bangs called him back, Reece came out right away and drove 3 hours with tons of traffic to get him home, he was so kind and friendly and talked with my son the whole time. I really want to say thank you to Bangs and to Reece for all their help!

After a late-night accident on the road, Bangs Towing was called the next morning to help rescue a car stuck in a ravine. They worked really hard and risked their lives to complete the difficult task. The crew was knowledgeable and amiable, and their years of experience and wealth of understanding were evident throughout the entire process. They didnt miss a beat, and their efforts even amazed the fire department. They retrieved the car from 200 feet below and neatly cleaned the area. They collaborated and saw that the task was completed on a very hot day. The crew and all of their help are greatly appreciated.

I had to have my car towed after an incident that left one tire flat and two of them missing pieces, and Bangs was very helpful! Camilo showed up very quickly and within just a few minutes my car was out of there and I was good to go. Was so grateful for such an easy process after everything. Made my day run more smoothly (even with a missing car)

Overcharged, Overcharged had my car towed and was overcharged i reccommend AAA its worth it why pay them more and AAA gives you free tow and mileage. Waited over 4hrs to deliver my car within ONE MILE!!!!!!! I would give them a zero if i could!!!!!

I went there today(Tuesday) and I filled out paperwork for my car. I arranged for my car to be towed to my mechanic in Freeport. I was met by a very polite secretary. Business was done through a window as they were taking Covid precautions. It was my mechanics suggestion, not mine when I called back to ask if my car was towed earlier. I made the mistake after saying I had trouble there when I meant to say my insurance not them. I was allowed to go to my car and get a few things there and the gentleman there was very friendly and polite. But the man I s/w was far from a gentleman. He interrupted me while I tried to apologize for my mistake, and hung up on me. Very rude

When I had my initial accident 2019 they had a different owner it was a much better experience. I was concussed this whole time, had to clean out my truck but was told I had to haul the stuff 50ft to the car. Yes there was a lot because the car was totaled out and it was packed for road trips. But I understand its their policy so I cannot fault them for what their insurance does. But I can say it was not a good experience, unloading the truck, and was walking with a cane and still wasnt allowed to park near my old car or borrow a dolly. Four stars for Admin. 5 stars for the tow truck driver himself who was amazing and handled my last accident about four years ago.

They are thieves!! Dont bother using this towing company . They charge my wife 350 for one mile , after my son crash her car . They should not be allow to operate

Called Geico to have my car towed and within minutes Bang was calling me, gave them my location and Camilo was there in about 10 minutes. He s an awesome guy and was very friendly! Very pleased!

I got a flat and was driving with my child. The dispatch was so kind she made sure she told the driver. He came quickly and was so safe and kind. Got us home safe and quickly, too. Driver was a nice family man and we drove in his truck to our house. His truck was really clean, too. Great Service!!!

Called for a tow at 9am they said someone would be there with in the hour, but they didnt show up I called them back 3 times and they would tell me they were busy, they will be there in 15min. That there was a person that got very busy on last job that they were on and couldnt tell me when they could get to me. After waiting 2 hours I just cancel.

All Im going to say is read the fine print / go over your paper work , check the miles, do your own calculations because they are robbing people at this place ! And they encourage you sign paperwork before their part is fully completed, they need to be investigated Bigtime! Overcharged me plus almost double the mileage it took to get there making an additional overcharge smh sorry for those who also went thru it , your not alone .

My 2018 lexus was in rear end accident on southern state it was on highway . They had the nerve to charge me 500.00 to have my body shop pickup the car to have repairs on the body. That is highway robbery . They ought be a shame of the way they treat people
