They really deserve 0 stars. I went in to get my oil changed, first the guy tried to get me to buy new wipers I didn t need, he said my current wipers leave the car streaky which they do not, they are brand new blades. After I leave I get an inductor light telling me I have a light bulb out then it went away then it can back on, almost like the bulb was loose. So I went back and they changed the bulb because I told them that in the paper work they said my bulbs were fine, later that afternoon my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air, I brought to my real mechanic and it cost me $314.00 to be repaired. Now thaws things could be flukes but I just think it s suspect. I will never go there again.

This place is a joke, brought my electric car here for an inspection and this overweight gift to humanity walked out to my car just looking at it and walked right back inside and said I can t pass your inspection because you have after market tint, I said it s just window tint and it s not that dark plus you didn t even put a machine on it to test it, he said ohh I can tell , I know ohh here we go another know it all that does not need a machine that you need to use by state law to test tint.. what a joke!! My wife and I will never come here again and neither will our friends!! What a joke the tint is not even that bad!! He looked like a bum and looked hungover but hey that s not on me to judge just like it s not on him to judge my tint without a tint reader!!!!! So mad !! But anyway I got my inspection done by a professional place after and passed.. do not go here to Adirondack lube express in Amsterdam they use emotion and ego instead of law and rules. How about using the machine you are suppose to use instead of ego?? Like I said I passed inspection no problem at the next place I went and they used a tint machine and it passed and told me don t know why they said what they said.. I told them just hicks with egos

I called the Amsterdam location late in the afternoon in a panic after realizing my NYS inspection had expired. Prior to calling Adirondack, I had tried at least 8 other places to see if they could get me in, and was given appointment times a week or more out. These guys got me in with no wait, no appointment, and were a pleasure to do business with. Everyone here was so friendly and helpful. We even had a few laughs before I drove off fully inspected. I would HIGHLY recommend this honest, knowledgeable and friendly group of guys. I will be back for all of my car repair/inspection needs.

I had used them a few times for oil changes with out a problem but took my car to them to get inspected and was told I needed work major work done that did not need to be done.I had another garage check my car as well as a relative who is a retired master mechanic who took pictures to show nothing was wrong. Went back and confronted them and they denied it and refused to look at the video showing nothing was wrong or would discuss it so I filed a complaint with DMV who did a very thorough investigation and found my complaint was valid and informed me they would be contacting them to impose a fine.I will not give them the chance to be dishonest and try to scam me again. Follow up! The inspector from DMV who did the investigation finally was able to get me the $21.00 fee back for the scam inspection but only after nonsense from the owner. They will be fined and their dishonesty will be on record permanently and I am very thankful the DMV investigator did a great job resolving the issue.

I ve been involved with buying, selling, and maintaining vehicles for 40 years and I ve seen just about everything you wouldn t want. Not at AEL! Only the best service, repair, and attitude. When you get treated the way they take care of you the price does not matter as you know it was done right and you feel good about it. Good people!

They got me in right away. Changed my oil in about 20 minutes. The man at the counter was helpful and kinda crabby, but in a funny way. Ill go here for my next oil change.

Came to this location 2 times calling before arrival to make sure they had time to complete an inspection on my vehicle. Drove 15 minutes just to be turned down once arriving to location. Terrible customer service.

Great service, fair prices, trustworthy workmanship.... you dont find places like this much these days. Just moved to the area looking for a new mechanic... very fortunate finding AEL. Didnt look like much driving up but Ill take fairness and quality over a fancy building!

I would definitely recommend Adirondack Express Lube in Amsterdam. They were very friendly, especially the woman at the desk, and quick. I was in and out of there in no time. Not to mention they take walk-ins, which is very convenient.

This place is great to take care of ur vechicle repairs, and they do N.Y. State Inspections too. No appointment neccessary on a first come first basis unless they recommend to you a appointment for longer repair time on what you may need done on ur vechicle. The mechanics there are very helpful & explain what you may need more done with ur vechicle after ur initial repairs if neccessary. They have fast & quick service no long waiting period unless some major repairs needs to be done on ur vechicles. They are very reasonable in their prices and with reliable service. Its what keeps me comming back for all my car repairs & service needed. Their easy to find off Route 30 heading into Amsterdam across the road from Speedway Gas Station on the right hand side of the road. From a very satisfied customer thanks guys.

The service was spectacular. In and out and about 10 minutes they checked all the lights all the fluids change the oil. Very pleased very happy!

I have been going to Adirondack Express Lube for 5+ years, and haven t had a bad experience once. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it s a good environment. They offer a variety of services. I go for oil changes, and change my transmission fluid with them as well. Service is generally quick if they re not really busy. They ll offer you air filters, lightbulbs, wipers, etc if they think your car needs it, but you re never pressured to buy from them.

Fast and amazing service and even accommodated my 4 year old by turning on cartoons for him! They are so friendly and kind the gentleman at the counter today was beyond exceptional!

Quick, no over charging

Really great customer service, was in and out quickly on a Saturday morning. The price for an oil change was a bit higher than Im used to but I get a full synthetic and they check and top off all fluids so I was okay with the price. Definitely recommend.

I usually have a fine experience here, but today I went in at 12:15 for an oil change and was rudely turned away and told to come back at 1:00 with no apology. The sign says they are closed 12:30 to 1:00 for lunch. I understand they get backed up, but it is unreasonable for a business like this to close right at hours that others are on break and running errands. They have lost my business. I went to Monro down the road and got right in. I will not be going back to Adirondack Express. ***editing to clarify following owners response... I was disappointed in the way I was rudely addressed. When I said hi, the only response i got was have to come back at one. A company certainly has every right to choose their break hours and extend those hours (I was turned away 15 min before posted break hours), and I also have every right to bring my business to a location that is open at a convenient time for my schedule and treats me professionally. As previously stated, my other experiences here have been fine, but it is the rude response, rather than the hours, that have discouraged me from returning.

I cant really rate it. I called ahead, was told he takes lunch from 12:30 to 1:00 so come around 1:00. I rolled up at 5 after 1. There were three people ahead of me. The OPEN sign didnt come on til 1:20. So I left.

I go here all the time for my oil changes. Went the other day and my car was smoking so I asked them to fix the problem, they replaced my radiator (which they took me in the back to show me that it did need replacing). The next day my car started smoking again, I took it back and found there was another problem causing the smoking that wasnt there the day before, so the man who fixed my car the day before stayed late and fixed the different problem on my car for no charge being I paid the day before. They are all very very friendly, accommodating, and they work fast

Good prices. They dont try to sell you into buying things you dont need. For proof for new air filter they brought mine into the waiting room and offered me the option to buy a new one. I said yes of course. I never have to call ahead and im in and out in less than an hour.
