awesome service towed my log truck on a sunday

I highly recommend these guys. The company I worked for had the local TA come out and fix my truck, TA tech claimed the truck had a bad ECM and they couldn t fix it. After sitting at a truck stop for 2 days my company gave these guys a call, they came out and after 5 minutes I was back on the road and no the ECM didn t have to be replaced.

8/19/2023 . Today I had a brake chamber blow out on my semi. The technician John, from Adirondack showed up within a half hour. Very knowledgeable, very respect and extremely fluent with the repair. While I assumed the breakdown would require a tow, John was able to get me from out the middle of the highway, into a parking lot and repaired my problem in little time. I highly recommend using this service especially if you are in the Amsterdam, NY area. Adirondack save me time and money. I greatly appreciate you John, for getting me back in the road at light speed.

This company is very good and they are very experienced in this job. Yesterday my truck shutdown and I couldn t start the engine and I called one road service company they send a mechanic and when he came he said my truck has a TCM issue that needs to be handled only by the Freightliner, but the following day I called the ADIRONDACK, they fixed the issue in a minute. Briefly I would encourage everybody to work with them.

I was the 7th trucker to look at a wrecked End Dump (Scrap hauling trailer) to haul it to Minnesota. I was the only one willing to haul this difficult load. I called Adirondack Towing to help me get this trailer loaded onto mine. It was a very difficult and time consuming process. But the owner or Adirondack Towing remained dedicated to get it loaded despite the attitudes of the buyer and my customer. Non the less it was EXPERTLY loaded. Safely and professionally. Ripped a couple of air suspension lines under my tractor from running over a cone in the middle lane that could not be avoided! I was able to limp it to the next exit and John met me in a trailer drop lot. He was under the truck for maybe an hour and now I am about to get back on the road. I had a severe coolant leak on my freightliner truck and after calling them after 5 in the morning, a tech was onsite under 1 hr. He wasnt able to fix on site so I followed him to the shop which has plenty of room and a nice deli. They treated me well and got the radiator installed in a timely manner and sent me on my way. I can t express enough my gratitude for John @ Adirondack Heavy Duty Towing and Repair!!! He try to fix my problem on the road but we find out I have a blown Turbo stead of a blown turbo hose. With a full shop of his own customers he went out of his way to tow me in and fix my truck in one day!!! Very honest business practices super fair prices 1000% Recommended!!!

Couple of weeks ago I got stuck in a residential street of Schenectady NY with my semi and 53ft and my truck won t start . I called few places and everyone was busy . Then I found this place . Gentleman on the phone , forgot his name , was very helpful. He told me I m in a bad neighborhood and all of his guys are busy but he will have one of his guy to me within a hour . A guy with tow truck came and helped me out and got me out of there . Thank you so much for your help and honesty.

I had a driver stranded over In Amsterdam and tried for 4 hrs to get a service to come out a jump start my guy to get him home to his family. We were referred to Adirondack Towing by another service provider and they came to our rescue. They got my guy up and running and now is able to get home. They have fair prices and a quick response time. Best service I have received from a heavy duty truck provider in a long time. Instead of being my last call they will now be my first call.

I have had the pleasure of doing business with Adirondack Towing several times in the past and I ve always been impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. this most recent time I was stranded in a driveway with my oil truck not going into gear. I called John for a tow, and he thought possibly Matt could come down and see if he could get me back in service. he could ve just towed me and stuck the money in his pocket however he chose to send Matt who unbelievably was able to fix the problem and get me back in service, saving me a tow bill,a Service bill from Peterbilt, and more importantly missed days of working. putting your customers ahead of making money says volumes about John and his business. I couldn t give Adirondack towing and repair a higher recommendation if I tried. P.S. This isn t the first time they have done a roadside repair instead of towing me.

Adirondack Towing proprietor John saved the day when he pulled my 40 brand new motor home out of a muddy mess I never should have tried to get into. From my first call where a answered the phone (no machine answer!) he assured me he would be there at first light and not to worry. His first priority was cause no damage, so he was slow and meticulous. He got her out and all was well. He may not be the least expensive around, but you re paying for top on the line equipment, and most importantly his almost 40 years of experience. When you re worried about your $400,000 Motorhome, it s money well spent!

Our cancer awareness truck lost brakes. Its a 77 chevy c60 so imagine how hard it is to get parts but these guys got it done and the truck is carrying on its mission to help families dealing with Cancers. I was in a jam. The TA truck stop in Fultonville, NY was very disorganized and did not fix my truck before they assured me it was and rushed me out of the shop. The problem wasn t fixed so I contacted John, the owner of Adirondack Towing. I sent him my information and we made plans to fix my truck the next day (I called him late at night). He came to me at my hotel with the right part and had my truck fixed in about 30 minutes! He is very quick and efficient.. He s honest and true to his word. You can t go wrong with John and his company. I highly recommend his services for heavy truck repairs and/or towing!

Very disrespectful and unprofessional. Owner lacks the tact necessary to hold professional conversations. I called to get an update on a truck that was scheduled to have a repair done at this shop. The owner answers and says dont call me for updates call the driver and proceeds to hang up on me. Needless to say we didnt get any work done here. I sent my driver elsewhere.

I m rating this location as a restaurant as there is one here along with a diesel station and heavy duty towing service. The food is phenomenal for the price, and you must try their desserts. Their food is much like home styled cooking the way your mom couldn t. The service is excellent, the cashier/cook/waitresses there are polite, cheerful, and prompt. If your looking for a quick healthy bite before your next adventure, fill up with diesel and eat here. Great small location.

Decent lunch specials during the week! We go there for lunch often when in town.

Last Monday we found our motorhome wouldnt start and was leaking fuel. We determined it was a ruptured fuel line but after calls to several local garages learned quickly we wouldnt be getting it repaired anytime soon. The best we heard was a 6-8 week wait and we were due to leave the next day for a trip. Thats when we found John Dumblewski at Adirondact Heavy Duty Towing and Repair. He was quick to respond and had our RV towed to his shop immediately. After informing him wed already found the part needed and could have it in 3 days he said hed get the RV work-ready for when it arrived. Our RV was fixed the afternoon of the day the part arrived and we managed to salvage 3 days of our trip thanks to John and his wonderful mechanics!! Not only did he put us back on the road in 4 days he gave us back our chance for more camping trips this summer! He was professional, responsive, timely and most courteous. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and a more honest person than John. Were most grateful to him and his crew and cant thank them enough!!
