Gerber Collision & Glass in Ballston Lake

Everyone here is knowledgeable and helpful. Brought my truck in for Gerber warranty work, they fixed everything that was not done correctly at another location and made sure my truck looked good as new.

All around high quality experience, even so while they were very busy! Took great care of me. A+++ Car is in better shape than even before the collision!

Had great experiences with Elmo s and was looking for someone to do some body work. After reading these reviews, I will NEVER go here.

Went in for a new bumper from a low speed accident because someone backed into me in a parking lot. Left with $1200 in damage making the car dangerous to drive, and they wouldn t own up to any of it. Crazy how I can DRIVE a car there but need it TOWED out . but it wasn t them who did it. Funny how that works. Absolute scammers.

Excellent Customer Service Great Collision Work

Working with Ben eased all of my worries when my car was in the shop. He was communicative and let me know exactly what was going on with the timeline and parts of my car. The work looks wonderful and just as it did before my accident if not better!

I brought my truck in for insurance work. (Bumper, tailgate, fender damage) I use this truck for work and planned for not having it for the 12 days they said it would take. I received 2 texts, both saying on schedule for completion on the date I was told. No texts for final week and on the day I am supposed to pick it up, I call and check and I am told it won t be ready. Now I have to go another 3 days without it because it s a Friday and I had scheduled work for Saturday. Now I still receive no call on the following Monday(today) so I go there just before they close and they are just finishing it up. Work looks ok and I didn t mention any names because I don t know who is to blame. I wouldn t never use this place again, too bad it was recommended by my insurance. Also, they have a BBB accredited sign up in their office and they aren t even accredited. Hope their work is better than their service. I was also told I might get a cost reduction because of the screw up. I needed the truck before management made their decision.

So a follow up...Owner wrote that marketing manager has been trying to get a hold of me...They DO have a good number and have NOTleft any message, so this is complete nonsense...As I read back on these reviews you can see they are full of apologies, but no action ever taken.

Dishonest!

I had written a review detailing our experience with Ballston Lake Gerber collision. They made some mistakes and communication started off poor but soon got better after I had said something. I am an honest reviewer and I want to give credit where it is due. Every error they made was fixed in a timely manner. Once Josh was involved things were made right and we were taken care of. They even went above and beyond and detailed our car to make up for their mistakes. In conclusion, I would recommend Gerber with the exception to be as involved as you can, and to go over the car well after it is done. Which is sound advice in any situation. Thank you to Josh and the team at Ballston Lake Gerber for making things right.

Excellent customer service. Said they would call 2x a week with updates, if there was one. I had to call a couple times and it is nice to get a friendly voice instead of an automated message. My car looks and drives great.

i needed my right doors repaired and they had me in and out within 3 weeks. very nice people, Ben was great keeping us updated..will be telling friends and family to come here in the future..thank you!

Very friendly and courteous staff. They tell you exactly when you ll be hearing from them on your car s progress. A little out of the way so it s not too busy; I had no wait mid-morning.

I had them fix my truck after a lady hit me. They did wonderful job. Very nice people. I hope to not get in wreck again if so I would take it to them right away

It took about a dozen calls and about 4 months to get Gerber to communicate with my insurance company and get the approval process going. As far as I can tell the quality of workmanship was good, so happy with that. Just no customer service and no follow through. The insurance company was through Carvana. Stay away from Carvana, unless you want to spend the rest of your life being put on hold for hours.

Went there to get repairs done do to an no fault accident and while I was there I tried to get an estimate on the rest of my vehicle. Was shocked to find out if the seeca spot of rust they wont bother fixing it and basically wont touch your vehicle. Needless to say I took my buisness elsewhere.

Terrible service, and they forgot many parts to repair my vehicle that result in months to complete. Never ever will I do business at their shop.

My husband brought his vehicle here to be repaired and painted after an accident . June he noticed that the paint had chipped off , he contacted them said they would repair but needed to order decal and would call when it s in . They never called . several weeks go by my husband calls (decal must be there they set up appointment ) my husband dropped the car off on sep 6 th called on the 13 th because no update was provided , was told they just had a few spots to buff out . my husband said that s fine I don t need the vehicle till Thursday on Thursday he calls and again they say a few spots need to be buffed out my husband says you told me that Monday .. so my husband says he will be up after work to get it and was told to just wait till they call . Never called and still no vehicle

Paint job on a carvana insurance claim came out nice, of course they skipped one spot because it wasn t on estimate. Not giving 5 stars because David The estimator needs work on his customer service skills. Truck was supposed to be ready Friday and wasnt, called Monday and they said before close, called again before closing and he said Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and I emailed David, he told me truck has been ready since 10 am but hes waiting on payment from insurance before hell release my car . Sure I ll pay another rental day. I contacted insurance and they said he needed to resubmit paperwork. Told David this and he said i did what I had to on my end, Ill call you when its released. I asked why I haven t received any updates he told me I gave him the wrong phone number. I always forget the phone number I ve had for 20 years. Guy needs a customer service class. Didnt even come out of his office when I picked up truck to do a walk around.

Sean, Pat, and the crew did an amazing job on my Ram. In for chipping paint. Went above and beyond. Treated my truck with care I have not seen in business. Work done as promised, delivered faster than I expected. Great work.

Changes owners way to much

I tried using their online scheduler and got an email back several days later stating that the times and dates I requested weren t available. I emailed them back asking if they could tell me a date and time and no one ever got back to me so I called and left a message and no one called me back. I guess they don t care about my business

I have used them in the past when they were still Elmos with exceptional service, after changing to Gerber I will never use them again. The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because the repair work is good. The reason for ONLY giving 2 stars and never using them again is because the customer service is almost nonexistent. My vehicle needed some extensive front end work. I did not receive any phone call updates or see any updates online of the progress. I tried calling twice and left messages to see when my vehicle would be ready. I did not receive a call back and eventually had a family member go in person to see what was up since they lived closer to the repair location. One of the replacement fog lights in my bumper had an internal failure a few days after picking my vehicle up. Being a professional electrician, I checked for the obvious loose connections and voltage, and determined it was a defective unit from the factory and not installation. I went back and told them the issue, they said they would send out for a replacement. After 3 weeks I called and asked if it came in, the person said Im surprised no one has called you. We need to send back the defective unit for them to send a replacement. Another 4 weeks have gone by without hearing anything. I call again to check in and Im told the company sent the fog light to our corporate location in Illinois and we should be receiving it next week and they would call me when it arrived. My guess is they never ordered it and hoped I would forget since this falls under warranty work that Im not paying for. Why would the company send the replacement to a different location from where the defective unit came from? Also, if it supposedly did go to their offices, it wouldnt take a month to ship it to the correct location. After replacing it, I noticed the fog lights werent aimed correctly. As I first stated, I will not be using this company again. The body work seems good, the customer service was pretty much non-existent for me, and they did a hack job on the warranty work.

Location was friendly. Corporate does not get my vote.

These guys did a fantastic job sorting out my Tacoma that got rear ended. I had a great customer service experience and my truck was spotless when they returned it to me. They have my business in the future.

Carubbas did an amazing job on my car! You cant even tell that it was in an accident. They even finished it a day ahead of their estimate! They also detailed the inside of my car which was an extremely pleasant surprise! I cant say enough good things about them.

My car was accidentally damaged while in the parking lot of a repair shop. Colleen and the Carubba Collision staff worked with my repair shop to get me in fast, arranged for a rental car, and got the job done in only a few days. Best of all was the fantastic work they did on the damage and the bonus interior and exterior detailing. They were wonderful to work with and while hopefully I will not need new collision work done in the future, if I do I will absolutely go back to Carubba Collision.

They were very honest with me when another shop was trying to give me a run for my money. Thank you!
