Would absolutely without a doubt 1000000% recommend these guys to anyone! Was quoted for a front windshield I told them I’d have to take off work to get it done and that I’d call them back to setup an appointment, 10 minutes later they called me back and said they didn’t want me to have to miss out on work and a paycheck for the day and told me to bring it to them, mind you it’s almost 6pm on a FRIDAY and they got me in to get it done! Can’t thank them enough would highly recommend them!
Their vehicle just crossed the white line and raced past me and several other cars up the side of the road to avoid waiting at a red light. If they're this negligent at driving, can't imagine how bad the service they provide will be!
The people at this business are extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to their employees and customers. My window was replaced in a timely manner but damage was done to the car in the process that they refused to fix. I would not go back to this business.
I brought my car here for a windshield replacement on recommendation of Jeff at Cliff's Auto Body (whom I also think is fantastic). They were superb and treated me much better than I could have imagined. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else for glass work on my car. Needless to say, the work was excellent too! In May-June they changed the windshield of my vehicle, few months later the front camera detecting the front collision stopped working, I called them twice but they are not taking responsibility and rather telling me to fix it through the dealer. Never recommended any such service who don’t own it nor it. Safeligjt would be good option for future that I would highly recommend it for everyone.
We broke the windshield in our Honda Pilot, we stopped in to have it serviced yesterday morning by Hometown. We received great service, everything up front and honest. We were given a very nice loaner for the night (free of charge) and have our Pilot back in working order. I will be telling anyone who asks about auto glass to come see Hometown Glass. Fantastic service!
On 11/16/2023 at 4pm on the corner of Middleline Rd & Charlton Rd, I witnessed two men in a Hometown Auto Glass drive side by side with another vehicle and attempt to run them off the road. They then flew in front of them and slammed on the brakes. I'm not sure if these guys do good work, but I certainly wouldn't want these psychopaths doing any work for me.
I see a lot of reviews for this company based on how they operate their motor vehicle. For starters one thing to keep in mind is these folks drive hundreds of miles a day, would estimate about 100,000 miles per year - plenty of practice as to not be a concern on the roadway. If you got cut off- you were probably the one not driving very skillfully. Secondly and more importantly- when it comes to timeliness and quality- these guys are second to none and stand behind their workmanship. Hometown specializes in glass replacement on heavy trucks as well as passenger vehicles and anything with a window that is not stationary-

Quick and responsive. Got my car in and out in one day (windshield replacement) and provided a loaner car. Very communicative and Al goes out of his way to be helpful. Thank you!

Rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. First the drivers for the company are absolutely horrible and dangerous. Then when you call to speak to someone they hang up on you. They clearly do not care what the driver s are doing in the roads.

Days after a national chain repaired my rear window, my rear automated latch stopped working. The national chain came back and admitted that their tech did a poor job cleaning up the broken glass but refused to take responsibility for the latch no longer working. I was recommended to reach out to Al and his team at Hometown glass. The next day he scheduled to have my car taken in. Knowing that the mechanism was not working due to loose glass, he cleaned up the national chains work and continued to troubleshoot until the problem was resolved. I highly recommend Hometown Auto Glass.

Got cut off in traffic by a driver in their vehicle, driving at least 15 miles over the speed limit on Balltown Rd, swerving from lane to lane erratically in dense traffic in the mile or so of double lanes. My son was in the car and they nearly hit us. Then had the nerve to flip me off when I beeped. I would never let these people make a dime off of me or touch my car. Explained a lot driving by their shop one day after that, trump signs all over. Its the mentality. Clearly.
Cant say enough about hometown auto glass, not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, but we have our own opinions and heres mine. We contacted them just a few minutes before closing and instead of telling us to wait, we were taken care of. Tom and I couldnt be more satisfied with the customer service and care we received from hometown auto.
Made it easy for me to get my truck rear window replaced. I have a very busy house so nothing is usually easy. Did a great job too. Thank you! Bob
They were arguing with me on the phone and didnt give me straight answers. I inquired about getting my quarter glass removed and resealed to fix a leak. Just told me to bring it to shop despite telling them that I have personally investigated the leak with a water test and that it was about a 3-4in break in the seal from erosion and age of the seal. Told me that it would cost over $900 to get just the glass part(rip off, been quoted $550 for Subaru OEM by another shop) or that they possibly just squirt some sealant between the glass and metal(not a proper seal basically and not a proper service). I would of been okay with it if they told me that they couldnt do it due to liability without wasting my time and energy to have me visit the shop if they just end up saying the same thing. In any case, the person who was on the phone with me got argumentative and heated just because I was calling around for quotes from different shops. This rattled me up because a consumer has the right to ask around and this person couldnt respect that. They told me to just go to the other shop and hung up on me in a hurry. I wouldnt recommend anyone go to this shop. They cannot treat you with respect and are not straightforward with you. It leads me to believe that they dont have liability insurance(constantly avoided questions to this or near it) and would rather take shortcuts than just fix the problem the right way.
Best Auto Glass Shop in the Capital Region. I run a truck shop maintaining a fleet of Tractor Trailers and I call these guys every time I need one of the big 1 piece windshields replaced. They show up same day and work unbelievably fast, while still having some of the highest quality work Ive ever seen from a glass shop. If you want it done right the first time call these guys.
Responsive, great service, more of a personalized experience compared to other companies. Al took care of everything after we contacted the insurance company for a windshield replacement and would recommend Hometown as your first call.
I would never hire this company to do anything for me the driver of a white Mercedes Benz van cut me off tonight he was driving very erratically and when I called the number on the back of the van to report him he use some vulgar language towards my wife I contacted the police and they will deal with him accordingly

Hometown Auto Glass is excellent. They handled my broken windshield claim through Allstate very quickly and professionally. In total they were able to replace my windshield within 24 hours of calling them! I would not hesitate to use them again and would definitely recommend to anyone.
After a rock cracked my windshield on rt 787, I went to Hometown based on a recommendation by my friend who is a mechanic. They got me right in, they accepted State Farm Insurances pricing and sent me home with a loaner car so that my wife didnt have to pile the kids into the car at dinner time and pick me up there after work. The car was ready the next morning before work. The three guys who were there were all great and they did a flawless job. Definitely the place to go. I hope I never need to replace another windshield; but if I do, Im absolutely going back.
