Weve had our Generac Emergency Generator for over 10 years now and we are so glad we got it. These guys are total pros, the office help is great, and the techs that come on site are very thorough and knowledgeable. I had them install a new high efficiency furnace, Trane central air-conditioning unit and upgraded my electric service from 100 to 200 amps. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone interested in updating or simply fixing thier existing equipment. 100 percent satisfied! And they will also be installing my Generac generator when the time comes.

Mike was the technician who came to review our ductwork. He was very helpful and responded to every question we brought up. He spent quite a bit of time checking the ductwork and sealed an opening near the furnace where dust could have been drawn in to the ducts. We asked Mike to give us estimates on repairing the ducts utilizing flexible ductwork and metal ductwork. He sent us those estimates within two business days. We were very satisfied with the professionalism and demeanor Mike brought to this job.

Reliable and knowledgeable

Suburban Services Group installed a radon mitigation system in our home in 2003. It didnt reduce the radon levels below 4 in all areas of the home, even after a second visit to modify the system. We reached out to them today to ask if they would come out and take a look at the system again and were told we are no longer in their service area because they reduced the size of their service area due to an increase in business (they described this as a good business decision). Seems like they should still stand behind their existing system installation, even though it has been years since it was installed.

We had Suburban replace/update an antiquated heating system with a high efficiency heating system and install a split AC system in our house. Their quotes were very competitive (often the lowest quote) and their estimators were very knowledgable and very helpful. They were very willing and able to answer any of our many questions. The installers were also very knowledgable, professional and they did an excellent job. The systems have worked great and, even after the installations, Suburban was very responsive to answer questions we had regarding the new systems. Based on the very competent staff, we will most certainly use them for the annual servicing of the new systems. Our home air conditioning system was failing during the recent heat wave. We contacted Suburban Services Group . Their personnel promptly arranged for a technician to respond the same day . He diagnosed the problem. He made a temporary fix of the problem and then we had a permanent repair with the replacement part in 48 hours. I was impressed they were able to respond the same day during a particularly busy time ; considering it was a heat wave. Their personnel were friendly and professional. This has not been my experience in the past with other local companies. I have worked with Suburban Services group for my heating and cooling equipment in the past and will continue to do so. We have used Suburban Services many times in the last few years for AC, Hot Water, Radon and all have been done professionally and with high quality. Recently we used them to install a dishwasher via their plumbing services and they did a good job. Would recommend and also to ask them what services they provide as it may surprise you all they can do!

The techs that arrived to check the issue with the Central Air were very courteous and answered all of my questions. They were able to locate the problem, and it needed just a very quick fix.

Great company to do business with. They sold us and installed our whole house stand-by generator a few years ago and the experience has been stellar right from the start. They also service the generator each year and keep it in tip top shape allowing us to relax and not worry about the power failing --- which seems to happen quite often in our area. This is really a two part review as it was a pretty big job and involved two crews. First off, we had our entire electrical panel removed, replaced and upgraded. Then after that was completed, we had all of the circuits checked, tested and verified as well as having the electrical connections to our generator identified and tested and reintegrated back into the new panel . This was the largest electrical job we had done in the thirty five years that weve been here since building our home. Everything was smooth sailing , everything was explained as we went and...everything that was done, worked as it was designed! We had absolutely no problems and no complaints as both crews were top notch. Even the cleanup was great. Things were better than when the guys started! Weve used Suburban Services Group for years (generations actually) and this is how they work...everything done to plan as expected, all items completed to the estimated price and most importantly, we couldnt be happier with the results! As I mentioned, everything worked exactly as we expected it would. Thats why weve been with them for so many years! And will continue to as time goes on!

We contacted John at Suburban to add to an existing system his team installed 2 years ago. Josh and Emmett arrived to install two ACs on the second floor of a BRICK house. (brick is not the nicest material to attach to...) They did a excellent job of running the traces for the lines and made sure they concealed them the best they could. Both install guys were super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Very happy with the install and the units.

Suburban installed a Bosch 15 SEER (454b) condenser, a 96% furnace, a matching coil, and a BOSCH BCC-100 smart thermostat in my home. The technicians were highly skilled, exceedingly polite, and most importantly respectful of my home. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with the Suburban team. And to be certain, I am as snug as a bug in a rug , as my new system is working flawlessly!!

1/2024: Update to my original review: one of the two split units that was installed in September stopped working in November. It had a leak and lost all coolant. They were not able to fix it the day I called; they came the following day. This same unit stopped working again in January. Again they came the following day, but were unable to fix it. I ve been told that parts have been ordered. Their solution was to charge me a deposit for space heaters to use in the meantime. This has been frustrating and disappointing. They quickly came out to do a quote, which I had the next day. They were able to install my 2 mini-splits within a week. Thank you for an excellent experience!

Needed a new tankless hot water heater and had trouble finding a local business willing to install the brand we preferred at a reasonable price until I called Suburban. Responsive, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the process from quoting to completing the work.

Suburban installed my standby generator 5 years ago and have also been doing the annual preventive maintenance since then. The folks in the office are always courteous and work around my schedule. The service techs are always on time, very friendly and answer any questions I have. I also have used them for some plumbing work with no issues. Definitely recommend.

Excellent results with installation.

We have been using Suburban Services Group for a number of years starting with the install and upkeep of our Generac Generator. One year when way below 0 degrees power went out and generator would not start. SSG came out at 2:30am to look it over and it was a faulty cold weather start kit. It was fixed soon after and we have not had any issues since. At that time, we switched our HVAC system maintenance over to them as well. Service is always prompt and professional. Highly recommend.

Suburban came out to check on our AC units, because we were concerned about a noise and worried there was a potential issue that we needed to address. They were very professional and not only checked out our units, but also gave us great advice on how to maintain the units into the future. The price for the visit was very reasonable, and we will definitely contact them again if we need more work in the future.

Suburban Services were at our home right when they said they would arrive. The technicians were extremely neat, knowledgeable and helpful with any questions I had. The installation was very good and the heat pump / AC system is great. The salesperson that came to review what we had and what we wanted was very honest and told us our existing A/C copper lines and electrical was fine and did not need replacement as some other firms did which we greatly appreciated. Overall Suburban did a great job at a fair price.

Had work done, first get charge ridiculous fee just to have them show up, then told the service would be a couple hundred. Final bill over $600 and the charges were even itemized. Did good work but I won t be using them again or even recommending them.

Suburban helped with a plumbing repair for a bathroom in my basement. They are very capable and know what they are doing. they did a great job and were very professional to deal with. I thought there were on the pricey side, but the quality of their work was worth it.

Suburban Services Group offers excellent servicing, however, I am not pleased with Generac generators. I had to replace one at my own expense just one month after the warranty ran out and the replacement already has issues after one year. Unfortunately, Suburban was of no help with the generator that failed. If there was a Generac competitor, I would have gone with one of those, but I dont think there is a competitor out there.

Suburban Services should be your go to source for plumbing and HVAC services. Installation, maintenance, or repair, overall I have had very positive experiences for over 16 years. They have consistently exceeded expectations and have been quick to fairly address any concerns.

Suburban Energy helped us many times this summer. We needed a new air conditioner and we had them put in a Bosh Heat pump, that we are very happy with. They also upgraded our electrical service to 200a with a new panel. Then we needed to replace our hot water heater and they were here the day after we called to replace it. Very prompt. Installed Generac generator; great job and pleasant to deal with. Sump Pump work went well; reasonable price; based on three estimates, they were middle. Came back to re-adjust at no cost. Installed garbage disposal; unit only (I supplied) plus new plastic drain kit; no wiring. 90 minutes, $550;+; too much. Repaired furnace; nice job and reasonable price. Yearly HVAC service contract price is 50% more than RJD; too much; went elsewhere. Nice to deal with; get estimates ahead.

We have had Suburban Services Group servicing our 50+ year-old Utica Boiler furnace system for several years now. Following a carbon monoxide alarm several years ago, we had a different vendor come fix the problem, but they constantly pressured us to replace the system. And they did a poor job fixing the carbon monoxide problem. So I had Suburban come in, who did a magnificent job refurbishing the boiler and fixing the carbon monoxide issue very well. They have been the only vendor allowed to service the boiler since. Thank you, Suburban!

We purchased our Generac Guardian 20kW Home Backup Natural Gas Generator and Whole House Auto Transfer Switch from Suburban Services Group on 02/09/2009. Suburban Services Group worked with us to understand our needs; estimate the required generator capacity; and provide an installation solution addressing different locations of natural gas, electric service, service panel and generator locations. The entire sales, service and technical staffs are professional, pleasant and keep you well informed. The system has never had any failures.

Technician (Rob C ?) did a professional job with service of our Generac 8K generator and home 4 circulator boiler. I had a lot of questions which were answered with reasons for the answers. Also, he checked the hot water heater age and it is past replacement time. We will schedule replacement after the holidays.

These guys have been lifesavers. Very reliable and really know what they are doing. They replaced our AC and boiler over the last few years, and helped fix a bunch of problems the prior installer had screwed up.

Pathetic service No problem in over charging, providing less than desirable service and service manager whom is less than responsive. Wish I didnt sign up for the 5 year service contract for my Generac stand by generator. Its not transferable!!!

The technician was able to diagnose the problem, call Mitsubishi, and work with their technical support to get things resolved quickly. Im completely satisfied with the service we got on their visit.

The Techs at Suburban had a difficult time repairing my furnace, but they never gave up. Im very satisfied with their service and would recommend them.

The technicians were efficient and did the work well. The two issues we had were 1- the first tech who came told us that the $169.99 we were paying for the visit (for a total of $330 to diagnose the whole issue) would be taken off the bill for the actual repair once the part came. That turned out to be incorrect, what he was supposed to tell us was that we wouldnt have to pay it AGAIN on the second visit. The other issue 2- was that we were not given an estimate or told that the part was over $800 and that the bill for the second visit would be over $1000. We were not prepared for that expense, and then without the $170 off we were expecting, it was a bit challenging to deal with the cost. Better communication is needed.

I had Suburban services install my Generac home generator 2 years ago. They did an awesome job. I had other estimates for the same job and they were twice the price and tried to sell me a generator that was to big for my natural gas line to support. Im so happy I went with them. When my has gone out I can run everything in my house. They came to my house and explained why they chose the generator for the size of home. Obviously the other companies just wanted to make more money. Ive recommended them to neighbors and they are all happy as can be. An awesome company, and has the most knowledge out of other companies that gave me Quotes. You wont be disappointed to choose them. I highly recommend them!!!!

Hot water heater went belly up. Suburban Propane responded the same day and within 28 hours our water heater was replaced. They were friendly, professional and very respectful of the property and the house. I would recommend this outfit to anyone in the Ballston Lake, Glenville area!!

This review relates to the Southern Adirondack 2350 division of Suburban Energy Services Group, which provides propane to my home and related services, in upstate New York. I am an architect and my firm does large scale projects - schools, hospitals, airport structures, and police academies. Hence I deal with all trades. The two service technicians who attend to my requirements, Matt Holcomb and Eric Forsyth, are remarkable individuals and exceed the capabilities of any of the trades I deal with on my projects. Their knowledge base, dedication to any task, professionalism and courtesy is exceptional. And they are thorough. I am always struck by their determination to solve any problem, no matter the time it takes nor the complexity, and will not leave until confident that all systems are fully operational. We are fortunate to have this team assigned to us!!

Installation personnel were on time and did a flawless professional job. Upon install they tested and reviewed the generator with me prior to leaving.

Suburban Services did a Radon Mitigation System install for us in 2023. The system is performing beautifully. The installation went just as Suburban said it would. Done in one day, no muss, no fuss and done expertly. The installer was very respectful of our home and cleaned up completely at the end of the job. Suburban also installed our automatic generator in 2018 and maintains that every year. A first class organization. That s why we are repeat customers. We recommend them highly.

I was asked to review the service I received, and unfortunately I cannot. I did not receive service. I received a bill, and had to pay it despite no work being done. The issue they were called for had somehow resolved itself according to the tech, and without touching anything, or checking anything wrote up a bill for the service call. This may be common practice in the contractor industry, but charging $150+ for a 3 minute visit in which no work was done isn t exactly what I would call helpful. It took him longer to write up the invoice in his truck, than the time he spent in my home. To anyone who contract this business, make sure the problem is completely demolished because if it resolves itself you re going to pay for it.

We have been happy with the support we receive from Suburban Services where we have purchased a standby Generac generator, an air conditioner and a gas furnace for our home. We had Suburban Service install a ductless system in one our properties. The total experience from the first meeting with Rob Girard to the install with the techs was very positive and professional.

We used Suburban Services to replace our ancient gas furnace with 3 heat pumps for the whole house. The whole experience was great. They were punctual for the initial walkthrough and estimate, gave us several detailed options, and answered all our questions when we decided to go with the heat pumps. Installation was easy and painless. The price was very reasonable and they re handling all the rebate paperwork on our behalf. We re very glad we used Suburban and would use them again.

We have had a number of projects with Suburban Services Group as we were rehabbing a newly purchased older house and are so glad we found this business to do some major heating/ air conditioning work for us and the installation of a new full house generator. Original generator engine had faulty compression. Required several visits to diagnose the issue. Required almost eleven months to complete correction. initial electricians did not complete mapping of circuit breakers. Had to correct the circuit labeling after the install myself. Latest service went well, oil change and new battery.
