Schodack Tire in Castleton-On-Hudson

Jon is great. He got me in quickly due to a tire issue, he diagnosed the problem and I was on my way. He is honest and fair. He sells quality tires at fair prices. He's definitely worth the drive!

I went to Jon from schodack tire to get some advice on what I was looking for. He gave me some recommendations that would suit my type of driving. I decided on a set and got it installed. I love the new tires, they were exactly what I wanted. Schodack tire got great prices and amazing service!

Went to schodack tire to get a pair of tires I bought online mounted and balance, was a pretty reasonable price with fast service. When I came back to pick up my car there was a fresh gouge and scratch into my front bumper. Wasn’t a huge deal asked if there was anything he would do to help me fix the issue. He denied having caused it, so I just left it at that but I know there was no scratch there prior to me giving him the keys that morning. Wasn’t a major issue just know I’m gonna have to buy sand paper, bondo, and paint now so the money I might have saved going there now has to be spent to fix a scratch my car obtained in his care. My decision to go to Schodack Tire to save a few bucks was not really worth it in the end.

Super impressed with these guys. Wife got a flat (day after it was "repaired" by Mavis), she was near their shop so she stopped. They literally dropped everything they were doing. Left their half eaten lunch on the table and went out to fix her vehicle. What they found upon repair was astonishing.... The previous shop had left the nail in the tire and just filled it with air and charged us for the repair and sent us on their way. Huge safety hazard in my opinion.. I'm glad she stumbled upon this place because they've earned a new customer.

John got my car in with a rapidly leaking tire quickly and fixed it in no time. We had also previously gotten new tires on our other car prior and both experiences were great! Highly recommended!

Jon was so easy to work with! His shop charged me $300 for 4 like-new tires that typically retail for $200 each, mounted, balanced, disposal of the old tires and installed/programmed my new tpm sensors! I highly highly recommend this shop as your very first call for you tire needs! A+

Tried Schodack Tire yesterday for the first time. I’m very picky when having anyone do anything on my vehicles. Had them mount, install new valve stems, and balance 4 tires that I brought with me. John and his employee (didn’t catch his name) were very knowledgeable and friendly and were able to install the tires on the spot as I waited. I was shocked and impressed that he knew/cared enough to line up the yellow dots on the tires with the valve stems. (If you’re not familiar with the dots and what they’re for, they’re put there by the tire manufacturer to indicate the lightest spot in the tire. This is to be lined up with the valve stem which is the heaviest spot on the wheel. This mitigates the need for excessive wheel weights when balancing.) John knew to line these up and in doing so, only required a small amount of weights to properly balance them. I’ve found it’s very rare to find a tire shop that actually takes the time to do this. And really it doesn’t take extra time, just attention to detail and pride in your work. The price was extremely reasonable. I won’t post due to prices constantly changing and there’s a chance prices fluctuate by the time you’re reading this review. But they were by far the cheapest I’ve paid to have tires mounted in many years, although I would have been happy to pay more considering the excellent job they did. Thanks, John, for the awesome service and attention to detail. It didn’t go unnoticed and I will be back, as well as recommending you to anyone who needs tires or tire service. I’ve found my new tire shop to replace Thoma tire now that they’re gone.
