I was traveling from Saratoga to Rochester when a State Trooper pointed out that my brake lights weren't working (nice of him to not give me a ticket) Replaced the fuse - no luck. Got off the Northway and got directions to Express Auto. Pulled in and told (I'm guessing) the owner that I was trying to get home and could he help me out? He had a number of cars there waiting to be serviced and said if it were only the bulbs, he could do it. Within 10 minutes he had my car in the shop and discovered that both bulbs had blown. Replaced them, charged me a very reasonable rate and I was back on the road home again in no time. Only a really nice person would do something like that. Don't live in that area, but if I did this would definitely be my garage to go to..

I can not say enough about Dave and Scott (and the rest of the crew but I LOVE Dave and Scott). My parents used Express Auto Repair so when I got a car it just made sense to go to them. I moved out of state and realized how lucky I was. When dealing with these gentleman I never worry about what they are telling me. If work doesn't need to be done, they will tell me. If work will need to be done soon but can wait, they will tell me. If work needs to be done, I rest assured that it actually needs to be done. I had been told by another mechanic that I needed a bunch of work done. It just didn't seem right. I had Dave look at it and he confirmed it was bogus. Recently, while driving on the Northway my car died. Completely turned off. Fortunately I had my steering and was able to steer over to the shoulder by exit 5. I had my car towed to Dave. He told me when he would have time to take a look at it. After looking at it and seeing how time consuming the repair would be, he scheduled my service. I decided to leave my van there as it really wasn't of any use to me. Dave was able to get my van in earlier than expected. When he called me to tell me it was done, he said "I know it's easier with both cars". He knows we have two very busy kids and have to get them around to all of their activities. He doesn't look at us as just money coming in. He looks at us as people with families. I can not recommend Dave and his crew highly enough!!!

Scott is a a down to earth guy that will always be straight forward with you. He never upsells me and always gets my vehicles back on the road quickly. They keep the shop impeccably clean and I knew from the first day I saw the shop that I was leaving my car in great hands. Every tool that isn’t in use has a place and is very neatly organized. Even the floor is clean! They’ve worked on my Cadillac Ats multiple times and even finished a week earlier than I expected once when I needed quite a bit of work done. They always give a price that’s more than reasonable considering they do better work than dealerships and other service centers. Thanks for the exceptional customer service and taking good care of my vehicles guys, it’s nice to have a mechanic you can trust. Bottom line. I won’t bring any of my vehicles anywhere else. Scott and Dave are honest, quick, and offer great service for a great price. I believe Scott owns the shop and he is an extremely knowledgeable mechanic that takes pride in his shop.

I was lucky enough to find a shop near me where the owner and head mechanic, Dave Wood, is a Corvette owner. I have been taking my car to DeNooyer Chevrolet and I have gotten great service from Dan Hart, but when I called recently they couldn't guarantee that he would work on my car. At the recommendation of a fellow Corvette owner I tried Express Auto Repair on Plank Road in Clifton Park. I needed my brake fluid flushed. Dave was super careful with the car and very meticulous. He hand loosened and torqued the wheels using a socket that won't mark the wheels. His shop also has a Hunter Alignment rack and Dave has the tools needed to set the rear caster (most local dealers (if not all) do not have the tools required). Dave also has the capability to change the wide tires without damaging the rims or tires. If you are looking for someone to work on your cars give him a try. I'll be returning in the future. I've been going here since I started to drive back in 2001...and honestly I can say these are the most honest and friendliest staff in the area. Regardless of the work that is being conducted, these professionals always do 100% to satisfaction and will inform of any issues BEFORE conducting the work. This integrity has led me to be a repeat customer. I use Express Auto for my oil changes as well...very convenient located right off of 146 near Market 32 in Clifton Park. Again, nothing but positive things to say. Local before corporate!

These guys are fantastic. I used to take my Civic here. They've always done good work and been clear about what they're doing. One time I was worried about the alignment but they said the wheels were just a bit out of balance. Since I told them I was planning to trade the car in after a few months, they told me to not even bother. I walked away without paying a dime. I will always take my cars here now because they are honest, helpful, good and don't overcharge. And I was recommended here by my dad, who has brought his cars here for almost my entire life for all those same reasons.
