We purchased a pricey Harbor Freight item at Clifton Park that stopped working due to a defect, which was a bit past the return time frame. The item is a Harbor Freight brand name, but the manager flat out refused to help us exchange it because we didnt have the receipt. We paid with credit card, but the store doesnt have the capability to track purchases through a credit card like other stores do, so now were stuck with a broken product and out $200. Never shopping at any Harbor Freight again!

This place is awesome, they seem to keep the same staff and they are always helpful. Sure they sell cheap tools, we all know that, but they always let you return something if it breaks. They also offer a generous extended warranty on just about everything in the store. Sometime the lines are long, but the deals are worth it.

The cashier, Lily did a fantastic job. Too bad the manager, who sat in his office and the other associate, who did the disappearing act, did NOTHING to assist this over whelmed cashier. Lots of customers with lots of questions and only a young cashier to handle it ALL.. Add to that the items I was looking for were on display but out of stock, which forced the cashier away from her station to help me resulting in the cash out line to increase... I am a big Harbor Freight fan but this experience was POOR and totally avoidable.. definitely a Management Issue...

Had to get new tires for hand truck, tarp, and a small safe. Had everything I was looking for.

I purchased the Black Diamond Table Top 7 Wet Saw Tile cutter, which I researched on-,line to be #4 of the Top 10 tile cutters. I opened the box, followed the directions and began my project, only to discovery that the diamond saw was not cutting the tile. After carefully trying to figure out, for what seemed like forever, I returned to the Clifton Park store with the tile cutter and Casey came over to assist me immediately. She listen patiently as I explained what I thought the issue may be. After several attempts to correct the issue, she suggested I leave the tile cutter at the store so that an experienced staff member who knows tile cutters could see what they could do to correct the issue.... Ian corrected the issue immediately, Casey called me at home with the good news and I am up and running... Excellent customer service that is truly hard to find today.... Thank you Casey and Ian...the good

Awesome helpful crew here. I bought a 3 ton jack here on the oct 20,23... there was a coupon that expired on the 21st which i didnt see/know. I wen back on the 23rd and the manager still honored the coupon because i bought the jackon the 20th. Awesome, thank you

Not the best quality tools but when you need to get the job done and dont want to invest a lot of money, this business has what you need.

Bought a tool box on a special sale. It was out of stock. I usually shop the Colonie location. I have a ton of tools and only buy a tool or something to upgrade or replace now and then. And harbor freight always has coupons. I asked for a discount on the tool chest, or something else. With gas prices it cost $20 to get their and back. And I have to come back again. Another $20 bucks! I asked the manager who was less than friendly. He said no. But like I was beggar! I said well I need a new air compressor and a new predator engine for my kids go-kart. He said no to that also. So I bought my tool box. Waited 2 weeks till it came in. And wont shop their anymore! Clifton park harbor freight!

Prices are decent. BUT, USA flags MADE IN CHINA and mostly everything in the store is made in china as well. Not too big a fan anymore ...

I love the Clifton Park location! Now I am in there more often than the wife wants me to be. They have okay quality tools for VERY cheap prices!

Every time I go there, they never have the things advertised. They sent an email regarding filling it with $29.95 and the bucket is free with purchase. Why advertise something they don t have. Usually they see the bucket for $4.99. Very disappointed!

Get that vibe nobody wants to be there. When you ask where something is they point instead of walk over and help you and show you. Ive had to return a few things here and I just dont get it when they say oh you cant return that here you need to call the manufacturer.. but they have a whole wall full of the tools they cant exchange. I rather get robbed again off marketplace...

Harbor freight is always a dangerous stop for me, I apologized to my wife before I went for whatever I might buy. :-) This is a large modern store, well stocked and friendly service. Good shopping experience and (this time) I only left with what I came for!

Tools who dont need tools, if ya do ? Get some here, as long as your not a mechanic that gonna beat on them daily.

Great tools at a fare price

Harbor Freight holds its own in the golden triangle of home improvement stores. The friendly staff and unobtrusive re-stocking (I think they actually pay people to do it when the store is closed) make it my choice if I can avoid Lowes or Home Depot. Seriously tired of blocked off aisles and bossy beeping cart types in those two places. Only flaw is that their low prices come at a cost. The end of line/discontinued cheap and sale items disappear quickly. You gotta jump on it if you want it.

Although this store is excellent for finding hidden gems, I give a low rating because the coupons and checkout process is aggravating. All sale item for Paid subscription should come up at the register without fighting with every cashier to get the codes, that no one seems to know how to process. A paid membership should not be this aggravating.

Staff (especially the manager) was very curt and not helpful. Manager was almost rude in the way he interacted with me, walking in front of me to hand me a piece of paper while speaking to another employee. Against my better judgement, I chose to come here for the tool I needed, but will pay more for any tools I need to not have to deal with the customer service.

A little disappointed couldnt check my battery in store , policy has it that they cant plug any electric product in store. They sell power tools. STUPID POLICY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Harbor Freight Tools is THE place to go for tools and many other mechanical things. I bought a small furniture mover. It only has three wheels but it will hold up to 180 pounds. More than enough for what I need. I couldnt find it anyplace else, local or online.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Leaving a new associate up front with no help or the understanding of how to just ask for help!! Several people just standing in line while this kid scratches his head . Then when I have to walk to the employees only area to hear multiple other employees chatting away the manager refused to go up and help!!!! He just looked at me with a dumb expression and said we ll he didn t call for help !!! WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD ANYWHERE EVER!!!!

Come here often to buy tools. The quality isnt that great, however for general use and lifetime warranty they are a good value. Picked up some new inner tubes for a cart we were fixing.

The products this store sells are of extremely poor quality. You are better of purchasing the higher priced items in other stores because you will be replacing these ones constantly. I cant even list every failed product Ive purchased (took a while for me to finally admit the company is worthless and a waste of money). Ive had circular saws start sparking and smoking on their first use. Jigsaws following the same path. The miter saw is trash. The portable garage could even hold up to a little wind and an inch of snow. The return policies and customer service is atrocious. I once liked this store but it has permanantly lost my business.

Never order online. Bought my brother s Christmas Present on here, but when I check the order status it just redirects me to FedEx saying this is an invalid tracking number. So I called the Customer Service & they said that they don t give tracking numbers with their orders & that it s being shipped by USPS, Not Fedex even though the order is $25+ & USPS normally gives tracking numbers when you ship from them. I would know. Then they said it won t get here until another 1-2 weeks when it s already been a week since I ordered it. So I m never buying anything from them ever again.

Great staff, nice people, clean store, great selection.. that being said, 99% of what they sell is exclusively made in China. Some tools/items are quality, but most, well, you can figure out the rest. I try my best to not support the CCP in any way shape or form, and to buy American made products as much as I possibly can. Although, on occasion I will make a purchase or two, but only when theres no other choice and its absolutely necessary to do so, though they do usually have all the Chinese tools/items in stock. I love everything about the store itself, and like I said, the people are great. But the fact they exclusively sell Chinese products (3 stars knocked off for that alone) is what keeps me away from the store, and is the thing that keeps me from being a regular customer.

Staff very knowledgeable always ask if they can help you with anything. They answer questions about the product your looking for and give you options about better products that may do the job you are doing. Bought a electric drain cleaner they put it on a cart and wheeled it to my vehicle and put it in my truck.

Make sure you get extended warranty on tools because after 90 days you are eating your purchase! Made out alright after 30 minutes of asking why? 949 Dollars on store credit,smh. Be aware

Used to be better, now adding restocking fees and closing at 7:00 P.M. weekdays. Wish they would stay open later and stop trying to get a 20% restocking fee even with a membership.
