Lot of stuff way over priced. Will only go there if I have no other choice.
Whatever you do, don't ever ever rent a penske truck from here. Absolute worst service ever. I reserved a truck weeks prior and when I went to pick it up "dougie" acted like he had no clue about it. He just handed me the keys and said. Your all set. He never pulled the truck up, hooked up the tow trailer, or even gave my the dolly I ordered. I had to do all of this myself! I'm glad I never have to go back to this place and inconvenience dougie by having him do his job
Robinson Hardware on Lapp Road in Clifton Park, New York is the best store. Each and every time I have shopped there, I am warmly greeted and assisted by a store associate. I am a senior citizen lady and I don't always know or understand what I should purchase for my home. I never feel ignored, disregarded or laughed at in a sarcastic way at Robinson Hardware. They value their customers at all times.
Incredible store! Probably the best stocked ACE I've ever seen
I pulled in to get a tool I needed for work the next morning. They closed their doors as I pulled in at 6:45pm they close at 7:00pm. My construction company will no longer be doing business with ace hardware.
As new residents of the area who just purchased our first home, my husband and I have frequented Robinson Hardware many times over the past few months. The staff is what makes this place so great! Both the daytime and nighttime staff during the week have been so accommodating, friendly, and helpful - especially when it comes to choosing paint for our home. We have nothing but good things to say, and will definitely be making many more trips here in the years to come.
UPDATE Jan 2024: New young employee/manager is FANTASTIC. A real pro. Pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. OLD REVIEW: Great local hardware store most of the older folks that work there are quite helpful and knowledgeable the only drawback is when you get the kids that are just not helpful at all and just don't know anything. The prior ownership was better but still a great store.
The best customer service from a gentleman named Kesey Murdock. He went above and beyond to help me pick out plants for our new home. Because of him I went back and purchased more. I sure hope you can train the younger sales people to be a great as he was. They seemed new so hopefully you can still train them. I would not have normally stopped at a hardware store for plants. But I am glad I did. Sharon Moran
Good local hardware stores
Love this place!
The most helpful crew in the hardware & pool care industry in the area. Always very informative, pleasant, and helpful. They save me time w accurate info and assistance
For the most part it was good a bit over priced but not to crazy but all ace hardware is the same
Friendly service and helpful associates
Always have what Im looking for employees are always helpful.
I bought a Toro snowblower from here back in November 2018 when this was known as Crescent Ace Hardware and was run by the Abbales. I see it now has new ownership. The snowblower is still under warranty and I have written a few emails about an issue I am having with it and gotten no response. Email is my preferred method of contact for businesses. I will call but am disappointed nobody tends to their email address. The email did not bounce back and I still see it listed for the business so I believe they just don t read it or respond to it.
Very helpful staff. Quickly found everything I needed.
Didnt have wat I needed but the store an help try to find it was 5stars
Ordered online for in-store pickup and I was out of there as quick as I walked in. Customer service was excellent. I didnt have time to look around so Ill be going back soon. Its nice to have an old school hardware store in town so you dont need to go to the Big Box stores.
Went in staff was very polite and helpful got what I went for
As usual for neighborhood hdw store
A young girl named Gabbie greeted me at the door and helped me find exactly what I need. She was super nice and super helpful.
Have always enjoyed place and helpful staff
Ty
Always helpful employees!
This place is small, but somehow always has what you need, and its of decent quality
I love Robinson
Very knowledgeable staff
Love this place. They carry things that the big box stores dont. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and if they dont have it they will help you find it elsewhere.
Always have what I am looking for.
Shout out to Sarah, Christian, and Christopher! I shopped there on July 7th and was happy with my experience. Very courteous and helpful! Look forward to returning soon.
Revamped store has great selection of certain hardware. Free Pool testing is an added perk. Dont have to run to other pool supply stores anymore! Wish they had more reasonably priced pool supplies though.
Robinson Hardware totally great experience. Rob was awesome! Everything was completed and delivered on time as agreed. Great people to do business with. Congrats Rob to you and your team.
Staff is super friendly, always has what I need
Have a little of everything and the staff are helpful and friendly.
Now this place impressed me very much !! Everyone who works there is happy and willing to help. I usually have to wait 20 minutes at home Depot for someone to help me I walked right in here and I got all the help I needed instantly and then some. Great service Great Store. They have a lot more than youd think there
The helpful place!
The items I was looking for it showed that the store has it but when I went there they couldnt find it what waste of time and gas .
Crescent Ace Hardware had the three items that I needed....Latest trip: Not only had needed item, offered additional service without having to ask Much appreciated.
Thank you Sir. (Kaycee!)
Great clearance and friendly staff
Prices on shelf do not reflect the right price. IE: $2:49 on shelf/rack. Register 2:99!!!
Stellar service, product availability but being a smaller store setting if you will the prices clearly cant compete w/lowes. In my opinion I dont mind pay the small business tax for quick, reliable in and out with the necessary.
Had my part
Good inventory, helpful- knowledgeable staff, hometown feel.
Smaller sized ace but great customer service and very quick
They picked up my snow blower for service and told me it would cost $400 and not be worth it. They were nice enough to offer to dispose of the machine for me. I asked them to bring it back, I paid for pick up, delivery and diagnostics. I had a friend look at it, he change the oil, cleaned out the carb and its been working fine for 3 seasons.
Always a great experience at the Crescent Ace Hardware. Everybody is so friendly and for such a small store they always seem to have what I need.
Always have what I need .
I was just passing through the other day and needed a quick fix for tool repair and In today s world of short staffing and help being less than desired to fill front of house positions I would like to commend your store and staff for excellent customer service and knowledgeable of your products. The store was bright and upbeat which is a rare commodity today. I ve spent a lot of my life in customer service and your staff showed what good service done right will do for anyone s day.
Ace is the place
Extremely friendly, very helpful
Both people at the register tried their very best to help me. Great customer service and just nice people!
This is our go-to place for hardware and small equipment repair and parts.
I have never had a bad experience at any of their locations. Its obvious that they are concerned with customer service. I absolutely love this company.
My snowblower was broken and I had arranged for the store to pickup and drop off my machine before the snow storm and was told that it would not be ready in time due to parts that needed to be ordered. I went in and dealt with the store manager Rob who understood my situation and he was able to get the parts from another location just in time for me to pick it up personally. I truly appreciate the customer service. Thanks to the team at Robinson Hardware
New owners and employees..much better!
Robinson Hardware /Ace Hardware I was new to this store I have been to my Ace Hardware in my area the employees in this store were nothing but the best I wish they were in my area customer service was awesome
decent place but the crew seemed really overwhelemd
Always helpful and knowledgeable! Thank you for being right around the corner.
Ive been trying to frequent this spot rather than the big box guys. Its a bit out of my way, but I appreciate the staff here so much more. Easy to work with, kind and helpful.
Team there very helpful and always willing to go above and beyond
Nice people. Very helpful.
They had 2 lawn care items I needed that were not in stock at the big boxes. Excellent friendly service.
Clifton Park Ace Hardware seems to have just about everything you need. Theres always staff around who will happily help you with any questions. No waiting around to be helped like the big box stores. Google map the location. Its likely just as close as it is to the big box stores. Quality of help is higher. Individual service that has been forgotten about by most corporate structures is present here.
Knowledgeable and friendly. May be a bit pricier than Home depot or lowes but with coupons, etc it becomes more competitive....and I almost forgot ...Free delivery !! cant get that from the big boxes!
I like that they have a good selection of quality items and a lot of help.
I will drive out of my way to visit this store. Everyone is so helpful unlike the big box stores.
Everything you need in one place
Very helpful staff.
Well stocked, friendly staff
Always nice & helpful
Do not shop there.I bought a chain saw under warranty and they will not stand behind their products Worst mechanic I ever dealt with.Lied and said the problem was my fault.
Great service quality products. Wonderful helpful customer service.
Cole is an excellent clerk. He knows where everything is located and is extraordinarily helpful
They sent me a ten dollar gift card for my birthday. I spent it online and used curbside pickup. Great seller. Highly recommend.
A very convenient store with helpful staff. A good neighbhood alternative to the usual Big Box places.
Helpful and friendly staff. Had a set of keys made. One worked and one didnt. When I returned, they promptly remade the non functioning key without hassle and they apologized for the inconvenience. I have been hesitant to go to Ace for anything because I have heard that they are expensive. I browsed a bit before having my key made and I found items to be more or less about the same as any other hardware store, and the service was immensely better.
Always good service.
Good cheap
Nice little family-feeling store. Also Penske guy is super straightforward and nice.
Large inventory. Well organized. Helpful staff. Made shopping easy!
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Small convenient store that has some stuff you cant get at the big box stores. Small engine repair and propane fills.
Always helpful!
When I couldn t find the item I was looking for, the salesman convinced me to let him order it. It came in the next day! Even though it was a very inexpensive item, he took the time to order it! Excellent service! I will definitely be back!
Favorite hardware store in the area hands down. Great staff fantastic inventory. Competitive prices. Why go to the Big Boxes ever with this gem around?
Superior service and knowledgeable employees - never disappointed
Very helpful - great selection
Love this place , friendly and helpful employees who go above and beyond to help you. Always have everything you need and make it effortless to get your shopping done ! Great store and Awesome employees .
Good local store. People are friendly and helpful.
Good old fashioned hardware store
Ace is the place . . . I prefer to do my hardware shopping. I like the smaller size and more attentive service you get there vs. the megastores.
Dont know how they make a profit. There is like 6 customer care employees and they have a lot of inventory.
Good local hardware store , knowledgeable staff.
Ordered 2 tons of wood pellets for fireplace we specifically asked and were told that the pellets would be delivered wrapped and on a pallet for a $60 delivery charge. First they called and ask if I could help with unloading each bag and restacking them because they do not have the proper equipment (pallet jack) to handle the delivery. When they showed up there was only one ton and 2 individuals to unload. Well I do not want them unwrapped and restacked. When I made my displeasure known the older driver gives me S***t and attitude. This is Not a store I will ever visit again. Spoke to the manager and we are getting our money refunded and going to Home Depot for better price and better customer service and more professional employees
Exceptional service.
Great customer service!
Great Hardware Store. They always have what we need.
Always great bring my Snowblower & lawwn mower for service. They always take care of you and very personable. Great service and prices.
The folks at Crescent Ace Hardware are always courteous and helpful. They had in stock a repair part for my boiler that neither Lowes or Home Depot had, so instead of having to wait until Monday to go to a plumbing heating supply my heat was up and running on a Sunday morning.
Nice neighborhood hardware store. Despite its size it has pretty much anything you need. Just ask any of the staff, who are always quick and helpful.
I have been a customer of Crescent Ace for well over a decade. I enjoy interacting with the employees. They focus on providing the customer what they need and want.
Great place, very helpful staff.
Very courteous and helpful staff.
Great staff, very knowledgeable and helpful.
Great place with knowledgeable staff
Nice little hardware store with knowledgeable staff.
Depending on the day you can be greeted at door or not notice. For a small store they have a good selection.
They were so polite and helpful xxxtra points for employees!!!!!
My go to.
they got everything
Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff. I always prefer this store to the big box stores.
Wonderful people here..spend every penny I can here rather than at the big stores
Great choices and service
They have it all. Rented the Rug Doctor and my carpets are so clean! Also a pro tip is you can rent a box truck here by the hour. I had furniture to pick up and a 16 truck cost only $20 for an hour which beat the $140 I was quoted for local delivery!
Very friendly and helpful staff.
These guys are great very knowledgeable and always have what youre looking for and a pinch and where do they get those Yeti hats?
Great service
Crescent Ace Hardware is a good place to go when you looking for just a few little things nothing special just general merchandise will there be a paintbrush a shovel you know a lawn mower pretty much just basic general merchandise very good with parking very convenient and they really help you out if you have any problems you can ask any of the tenants that work there and theyre very happy to help you
I love these guys! Today i went in because my toilet float was leaking. I has just bought the new float last week and did not have the receipt. Patty and paul helped me find a replacement that fixed my problem and she looked up my purchase to refund my money. Thank you, u have a customer for life.
There to get some hardware for a small table with a draw, they were very helpful.
These guys are great
Good people. My father and I mostly use this location for their Penske rentals and everybody there goes far above and beyond for us.
Great local hardware store
Staff was very helpful and friendly
The woman at the paint counter was very helpful. She had multiple customers buying paint at once and was polite and professional. Gentleman at the checkout was also courteous and helpful.
Kind, courteous and helpful staff. They know their stuff. Thank you!
Living near Exit 8 for the last 20 years, I have tried to patronize local businesses, including Crescent Ace Hardware on Lapp Road. Over the last couple of years (new owners), that has proved a time-consuming, frustrating and very costly practice. CAH was so confident that I let them work on my Yard Man riding mowers cutter deck mechanism. When that failed after the first mow, they worked on it again. I paid for that repair twice, but didnt get to enjoy the results much because the drive (propulsion) soon failed. When they returned it to me, it still wouldnt go. This was fixed 3 times, each time with increasing irritation on Johns part for my reluctance to keep pouring full-rate labor into this issue that was supposed to have been resolved the first time. The 3rd repair failed as well. When I took it to Hudson River Tractor Co. (formerly John Deere, near Exit 10), it was repaired quickly and affordably, with an incorrect drive spring only one of the errors noted in the drive system as repaired by CAH. When my 20-year-old John Deere snowthrower gave up, I went shopping. The Thanksgiving snowstorm put blowers i short supply and I decided to give CAH another chance and chose a Toro 2-stage machine based on reputation. It looked great, but the display models snow-directing chute was hard to move and wouldnt work in its full range at all. A simple adjustment, I was assured, that would be made on going through it before delivery. It was delivered fine, but without being touched at all, let alone fixed, adjusted or gone through. Even the feature tags were in exactly the same position as when on display. CAH apologized, picked it up, took their time, and returned it fixed. Great. Tags now removed. But the chute was just as non-functional as before. I made them pick it up. More time went by. This time after they worked on it I visited it at the shop. Someone had squirted lubricant on it but the underlying directional angle range selection problem had not even crossed the repairmans mind--no change whatever. 30 days were almost up. Well, it turned out that unlike other snowblowers, Toro defects must be taken to an Authorized Service center, i.e., marrying me to CAH for the life of the warranty. I declined the sale. The owner said actually, Toros rules said it would have to be a warranty repair issue and I would have to deal with Toro myself (he recanted after finding a replacement buyer) to try to get my money back. I told him I had never received an operational unit, nor put fuel in it or started it and the sale was never completed. After he sold it to someone else he mailed me a credit card refund, but kept the additional delivery charge I had paid up front at time of purchase, so as to still have some profit on the whole thing. Im still a little unclear what exactly I got for my $20.00, other than a bunch of time and trouble, and $300.00 additional cost to me that I ended up having to pay to get a comparable snowblower, having sat out all the sales during the Toro fiasco. I guess he felt entitled to it after all the resources CAH put in. Do you think thats relevant and compensable, given that I bought a product new and in good faith and never had any chance of receiving a workable machine? In my view this sleazy final insult evidences the deficient (or at least sloppy) principles and work ethic that led to my consistent headaches with Crescent Ace Hardwares service department under its current management.
