Had to exchange an item that I bought the wrong size of on Sunday the 16 of February 2025 in the evening. The employee helping me was rude and had poor attitude. I was also accused of not turning all items in. If the employee just looked at the receipt he would have found that item I bought in was item I wanted to exchange. Just asked for refund instead. After all there is Lowe’s across the street that treats their customers fairly and does not discriminate based on skin tone. Went to Lowe’s instead always great customer service and got the item I needed with no issues. Home Depot has lost me as a customer for good.
I had the best experience at this store in Clifton Park, NY. Tracy Lenz helped me find the perfect flooring for my podcast studio for the "Choose A Happy Day" podcast where I record video as well as audio. She helped me calculate exactly how much flooring I would need, pick out the type of flooring and to direct me to the most economical pricing for my budget. She then even helped me load the flooring into my car. I am so grateful for her help. I was wandering aimlessly through the isles and waited for her to help (she was with another customer when I arrived) and boy was she a blessing! I have gone back since and she was equally as helpful. She is a gem of an employee and I hope that she is recognized as so at the Home Depot. Thank you Tracy! *Photos of the room before and the flooring she chose.
Don't order deliveries from this store go to Lowes. They kept bumping my delivery off without any notice at all, mean while I'm paying people to stand around for supplies that aren't coming. I wish I could give this place negative stars very unprofessional!
After enduring a dreadful experience at the Home Depot on Cambridge Road in Schenectady, Google Maps suggested the Half Moon, NY location. This was an absolutely spot-on recommendation! The Half Moon Home Depot team delivered exceptional service from start to finish. A quick phone call confirmed truck availability, and the friendly representative efficiently reserved a truck for me, even going the extra mile to leave the keys inside. Upon arrival, I found a pristine flatbed with new tires and nearly a full tank of gas, exactly as promised. The checkout process was smooth and effortless, and returning the truck was equally hassle-free. The entire rental process was a testament to the team’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Their helpfulness, attentiveness, and efficiency made renting a truck a breeze. This Home Depot location truly sets the standard for outstanding customer service.
Overall a very clean and pleasant Home Depot to shop at. Everyone is super nice to you and helps you find what you need. We got our paint shaken and on our way in just a few minutes. Seamless checkout process too. Plenty of parking!
Ordered a 7.3 stainless steel mini fridge from Home Depot. It gets delivered and this is what it looks like. Called the local store and they told me they can’t do anything. That I must call the company customer service. Of course they tell me I need to repackage it back up and UPS will pick it up. But that they can’t do an “exchange” in the system to reorder one as this one came with about 12 dents (see photos). I was surprised it came a day early but once seeing the way it was delivered I was appalled. So now of course after UPS picks it up then they’ll with in the 5-10 business days refund the money. But no worries! They said we could spend another $300 to order another one today while waiting for the “new” one to be order and just hope that it doesn’t happen again. The customer service rep told me it was “very rare” for things to come damaged so she was sure it wouldn’t happen to the second one. Such a great thing for a mainly applicable company to leave at the door.
Always go to Home Depot for everything. Their staff is just ways beyond Loews in my opinion ( look for the older guys for extra help ) and always friendly and helpful. Also like their bigger equipment the best, just bought a Troy Built riding mower and is awesome 😎. Also just purchased a 8' by 10' shed from there and Tuff shed had a local construction company come put it up.
It's the same like every other home Depot same stuff home repair Lumber paint. A giant hardware do it yourself home repair shop, nothing out of ordinary nothing that makes it stand out.
Home Depot and UPS together are They are so disrespectful to the customer regarding the delivery of their products. Avoid buying any product online from them.
Good shopping experience!!
Another on of my go to stores
These people working there have zero clue what anything is or where in the store one might find anything
No staff to speak off
Always have a great experience at the Clifton Park location.
Love HD. Great staff and selection.
New remodel ruined the store prices not in right spot selection terrible no rental equipment etc.
The employees here are not the smartest people in the world. The ineptitude was staggering.
This is the first negative review Ive written, but you really need to know this if youre thinking of buying a Major Appliance from Home Depot. First off, most major appliances, (E.g. refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, washer/dryer...) purchased from HD are now considered to be a special order, due to the fact they only have the floor model in the store. Therefore it needs be be shipped directly to the customer from their warehouse. They said thats pretty standard at HD, post Covid. That being said, HD has a strict 48 HOUR RETURN/ REPLACEMENT POLICY ON ALL special order major appliances. The way I found this out is... I recently purchased a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator from my local HD store. Just 5 days after it was installed, the freezer and ice machine both stopped working. After speaking with the Home Depot Store Mngr. he informed me of their strict 48 hour return policy, and since itd now been 5 days, I needed to call Whirlpool under my 1 yr. manufacturers warranty and they would send a service tech. out to fix it. I explained that the machine was 5 days old and that I didnt want it serviced. Instead I wanted to bring it back and get a brand new refrigerator, as would anyone! Keep in mind, I was not asking for a refund, just a new fridge that worked. The mngr. then informed me that if I had purchased the additional insurance from HD, then I could return it. Unbelievable! I have never heard of a store that will not take back a brand new appliance that stops working five days after purchase! I dont even know if thats legal in NYS, but Home Depot gets away with it. I even spoke with HD Corporate and got the same response...NO RETURNS/EXCHANGES AFTER 48 HRS OF PURCHASE ON MAJOR APPLIANCES. So, if youre thinking of buying a major appliance from Home Depot, simply ask what their Return/Exchange Policy is. As far as Whirlpools customer service, not only have they refused to give me a new refrigerator, to date theyve scheduled 5 service calls to my home, of which 3 were no shows. In the end, they determined the compressor is defective. Theyve also informed me that the part is on back order and could take up to 6 weeks to install. In the meantime, my brand new Whirlpool Refrigerator does not freeze or make ice. Shame on Whirlpool and Home Depot. Never again. (2 days after posting) Just a quick follow up to this review. To date, 5 of my patients who were planning on buying major appliances from HD have thanked me for sharing this information and are now going elsewhere. What goes around comes around, Home Depot!
Like any other big hardware store, but Home Depot was real good to me on the customer service end of things.
I have had only good experiences with the staff. The place is a bit nostalgic for me but its rather heartening to see the place has changed very little overtime.
I dont like having illegals in the parking lot
I will say the people in the plumbing department were amazing but when we got over near the appliances and cabinets. My mom asked the older gentlemen for help in looking at the cabinets so we get over there and he answered like two of her questions and is already trying to run off after we came across him literally just sitting there doing nothing. I am a retail assistant manager and I m not saying he wasn t nice but what on earth was he in a hurry for other than to go back to doing nothing. Could ve been dusting or sweeping and keeping busy but was sitting there and then when asked for help couldn t seem to stay to answer all of my moms questions completely unacceptable.
Always a great place to get great things; wish prices weren t as steep
The worst Home Depot ever. They don t have a rental department but do rent stuff. The employees have no clue what they are renting to you if you have any questions they are clueless. Also the website displays stuff to be available and when you reserve it and come to store they don t have the equipment. By far the worst customer service and worst experience at a Home Depot.
Self check out associate will ask you for the receipt to check it before it s even done printing. Extremely rude staff. If you can t trust customers using self chdckout, open more lanes and stop wasting peoples time.
I was there checking on self stick floor tiles and paint
Home Depot is the greatest place to go to get supplies for the projects that I do around the house. They have everything and great prices.
Great place for flowers and plants and about anything you need.
Unloaded in 1 hours. Inside recieving too tight working little slowly
Good prices and decent product selection. Customer service is mediocre. Its hard to find someone if you have a question. Theyre not usually knowledgeable about technical issues, in fact some cant even tell you which part of the store to look in, but theyre *usually* nice. On my most recent visit, the woman who helped me at Customer Service was rude and unhelpful, for no good reason.
They have good products. Not many customer support people here. I typically am here longer than I want to be.
We have the meats
The do it your self store
Typical Home Depot, kind of mess, shelves not stocked but there are definitely worse stores.
Good store
Awesome store. They price matched an item for me recently. No problems. Easy peasy.
Love H.D. Bought plants. Unfortunately had to return some but Tyler at Service Desk made the return painless and pleasant.
Disappointed, no veterans discount unless you download the APP and accept cookies.
Its the Home Depot. They had what I needed in stock. No employees around to help but not a huge deal.
Always Have the Right stuff for any project and a great selection of Dewalt tools
Frank in the garden center is very helpful and kind, he brightened my whole day. Thanks Frank!!
I had a fungus problem with my plants. The Lady that i talked to did not want to answer my questions. She said she was not here for that, they were there to sell items. She reluctantly to me to scrap them and she walked away. I was set back by her coarseness. She was very rude
Very organized
Good prices
The usual, lack of professional help
Another great home depot!
Hate the Latham location. Nobody ever seems to know whats going on or where anything is. The Clifton Park location is much friendlier and more helpful
L+
Local home improvement store.
Has a little bit of everything
In and out quick. No veterans discount say this store.
One of the better Home Depot s for sure.
Generally well kept store..good customer service. The cart retriever telling me that the cart corral was not for carts and they need to be brought back upfront in a ridiculous attempt to avoid his job was a little much....probably not a great idea discouraging people from placing carts into the corrals as opposed to leaving them all over the lot.
I have my own business so this is my choice for stuff I need
Always has what I need for my projects.
Stocked and helpful.
Staff is very friendly and Knowledgeable!
There was a wide selection of products. The clerk is very kind. They guided me to the location of what I was looking for and carefully taught me how to use the cash register.
I bought a dish washer here about 6 months ago for about 600 bucks. Over the weekend and error code popped up on it and I called the home Depot where I purchased it. They told me numerous times that a manager would call me back and they never did. Finally I was told to purchase another new dishwasher from them. They wouldnt help me even troubleshoot the problem. They just told me that their warranty was only for 90 days. I was suggested by a friend to call sears to have them service my dish washer. The repair man called us to troubleshoot the problem and helped us fix the problem OVER THE PHONE! We were never gave them a dime and gave us the time of day to call us back. I have plans to do major renovations on my house this spring and need 10s of thousands of dollars in material to complete my renovations. I was planning on utilizing Home Depot for the materials. I will be taking my business elsewhere because these people cant even be bothered to return a damn phone call. Take your money elsewhere folks, they dont deserve it.
SAve yourself some total grief and go somewhere else if you are ordering anything for your kitchen. Especially kitchen cabinets. Went to place order at 815am as that is when we start work, and we get i am sorry, no one is at that desk until 10:30... SERIOUSLY????? Most business/contractors start their day at 7am. NOT 10:30am. Next, Order was done at the 1st of November and we specified we needed stock cabinets We were told cabinets are coming in 2-3 weeks. We call after 4 weeks and are told the color you wanted is not stock so they wont arrive until sometime in January..... Then when we ask about other stores having what we need, stock is not held unless paid for. We paid for the originally order. When they checked, no we didnt.... Receipt sent showing paid in full and then told we had 3 different quotes for you for the same thing... SMH at this point... Finally they said the cabinets are arriving on 11/30 and it will take a couple of days to stage them before pick up and they will email us. NO email as of today. Sent an email with order # requesting an update on when we can pick up the cabinets, and the reply we get is i dont handle missing items. You have to go to the customer service desk. What items were missing from your order?........... Go to the store, speak to the Assistant Manager and we are now told, cabinets wont arrive on the 7th... This whole ordeal is a nightmare, it is costing ownership money, staff time, and now because of this our job is behind schedule. Thank you Home Depot for nothing!!!
Good place to get lost in my opinion but employees look lethargic
Very disappointed. Order kitchen backsplash tiles, which came completely different than the store sample. Brought the issue in attention to the sales associate, she told that she will ensure there is no restocking fee charged. You know what, they charged $96 as restocking fee and trying to convince me they have not charged it. How ridiculous it can be. This is stealing money, thats all. Stay away from this store.
Better store for area
John C was incredibly helpful to me. He took the extra step to assist and clarify everything for me. Having an employee who is both caring and knowledgeable is truly appreciated. Thank you once again, John.
Always has what Im looking for, from random tools to bed risers, and for decent prices. I absolutely love the Ryobi tool line!
Great for so many projects and great staff at this location
Always a good time, got some seeds for Spring!
Never a bad experience
Plenty of parking, not busy on the weekends, the staff are friendly and helpful.
Its the home Depot, whats there to say. For a quick trip, its nice to have self checkout available. Some employees are great and friendly, but most seem hesitant to help or make eye contact or participate in helpful conversation.
If you ask help, there are knowledgeable people to help you. I always buy things there and never had any problem.
Went in to get water softening salt, I was directed to where it was and left within10 minutes!
We were very disappointed with our visit today. We were purchasing bark mulch and while the price was awesome, there was no way to purchase the mulch that was on sale online for pick up. The clerk did offer to have someone help us load our 20 bags, but we waited 10 minute and no one came. We are so grateful to a complete stranger that was not an employee of Home Depot that offered to help us load when he saw us struggling.
Frank at the self check out was phenomenal. I was very pleased with his way of interacting and being real. He is an asset for the company. Need more employees like Frank in my Business.
Now that they give Discounts to veterans all year round, I now shop there.
The place to shop for you home needs. Reasonable prices.
They refuse to pick up the phone apparently.
Always get the best deals.
Super unhelpful staff
Update: we bought all the flooring for our downstairs from the Clifton Park Home Depot. Its very nice. We bought a new stove. Don assisted us, he was really helpful.
Go here a few times a month. No complaints.
Unfortunately Google does not have a rating of zero stars. A couple of weeks ago my husband and I came to Home Depot to order three new major appliances. We walked around the appliance section, picked out what we wanted and after about 10 or 15 minutes of being there, began searching for an attendant with whom we could place our order. We had seen someone helping another customer when we arrived but by the time we were ready, he was gone and never had he approached us to see if we needed help. We waited 10 minutes for him to come back and I asked the lady in the next section where the blinds are ordered to call for an attendant to the appliance area. She did this reluctantly, clearly annoyed that I was interrupting her and her customer, and noone ever came. Another ten minutes went by and my husband went up to customer service and asked for an attendant to be paged and found out that the person we had seen, that never checked on us, had gone to lunch. They still paged another associate who never came. After waiting over a half hour for an attendant, we left. On my way out I asked the greeters in the front to let the manager know that he had lost a sale of three major appliances, and I told her what they were, and that we were going to take our business elsewhere. I dont know if she ever conveyed the message so hopefully the general or district manager will see this. I hate this store with a passion and reluctantly gave it another try in an effort to price compare and potentially save money. I have never had a good customer service experience in this store and I would sooner gouge my eyes out with hot pokers than return again. Good luck to all the suckers who like to pay for a lack of customer service. If you are smart, youll cut your losses and order direct to consumer, go to an appliance only store, or if you have to, go to Lowes like we did.
Nice
Didnt Have Products We Were Attempting To Locate!
Home depot always has what I am looking for. Im a regular and know the store by heart! The staff are very team oriented and helpful and polite- online orders are convenient.
Helpful people. Found what I needed.
My only problem with this establishment is that they cant make up their minds about what they are going to expect as a form of Military I.D. sometimes they expect my ID,and then they deny it the next time I go there.
Good and friendly customer service. This store always has someone available to answer whatever questions I may have. Theyve cut back on larger quantitie package deals so that you have to spend more on smaller quantities. (ie: only a 4 pack of lock nuts available in store instead of a 20 pack or a 100 pack). The blue competition is great for things like that.
Fine
Great day to spend the 4th
I didnt need much, was quick in and out no complaints. Good selection of cleaning liquids etc
Always satisfied with the personal service I receive. The self check out stations are not providing adequate check out services due to the need to re-scan items when issues arise.
Great experience.
Employees need to be trained more. Also, poor customer service. Otherwise, decent selection of products for a decent price.
Good home depot paint people were excellent today A+ always good service here
Awful customer service that needs to be looked into. Lani was incredibly rude and unkind. She didn t want to do anything and even forgot a piece of my order. Every time we come in, as very long time customers, she always seems disgusted by us. My parents don t speak English well so I mostly speak for them, and she was not happy. Really needs to be reevaluated. Lani was so unhappy that we are customers. Absolutely gross
Didnt have anything
Ya cant go wrong at Home Depot
Ordered a water heater online. Checked the boxes for delivery and that a signature was needed at time of delivery. Once delivery box was checked it said we would get a 30 minute warning before item arrived. Get home only to find out that the water heater was delivered to our front porch (the main reason we ordered delivery was so they could bring water heater to basement for us). When I called to complain that we never were given the 30 minute warning phone call, that we were less than 10 miles away and that we weren t there to give a signature, I was told that it showed there was a signature at the time of delivery. I told them their delivery person lied and forged our signature (a felony) because we were not home-we were working. Left me on hold for twenty minutes plus as they were trying to get the Manager to answer the call. Nothing. Took my name down and of course I never received a call. Absolute horrible customer service.
Out of stock and posted on line but not in inventory.
I recently went Home Depot Clifton Park, Mr. Alonzo was such an amazing Manager. I was so upset. I called the store was told to come in. To go there and have the woman at the register a customer service tell me that they couldn t help me. I was getting ready to leave and I asked to see a manager. Mr. Alonzo met me at the front of the store to deal with my situation! I have to say he was caring, and so patience and understanding that he went out of his way to do what he could to help me resolve my problem. I haven t seen a better Home Depot with the customer care as he truly deserves 10 stars and I can t thank him enough for his help! Thank you ALONZO
Great service for remodeling..ask for Pam.
Helpful and friendly employees. Sum things cost alot and yet sum things dont.
I like this Home Depot. The staff is always very helpful in my experiences coming here.
Ok
Clean great prices wish they didn t close at 8 tho
Has all I need
Early morning visit to the store. Almost every team member I passed said hello or asked if they could help
Usually has what you need at the price you want to pay. If youre lucky you will find a person who is knowledgeable.
Have what I need for residential work. Need better organization, but it is what it is. If you know what you need and where to find it its no problem.
Its a smaller depot
As usual, always courteous
My previous post was that this was a standard Home Depot. However, my recent experiences have been different. The team at this Home Depot have gone above and beyond in being helpful and getting me what I needed.
delivery team went to wrong street/house and then said they wont return today to drop off even though the washing machine is still on the truck said i have to wait maybe wednesday? but i have to wait for truck to return and unload to reschedule... very disappointed with this policy/way of calling this customer service. we erred but we wont make it better. great policy Home Depot!!!
Always friendly and go out of there way to help there customers.
Lowes is cleaner and customer service is much more helpful, go to Lowe s don t waste your money and gas
Good for fast stop but often is out of stock or will send you to the larger local store on Washington Ave.
I found what I was looking for
My new Target as a home owner.
Staff very helpful
Constitutionally Compliant!
Well stocked..had many helpful sales people assisting me..Mr.. friendly place good prices
Bought a garbage disposal and installation services. Went smoothly. Their internal processes has room for improvement but employees were helpful.
Good prices and service
If you need something they sell, then go there...they have a lot of stuff for the handyman, I mean if thats what you want. Have lots of helpful employees.
As a self employed contractor my husband is in there almost every day. Good selection, cheaper prices than Lowes.
Excellent Service Always Im always In Here for Parts,Materials ,Tools ,Great Staff Courteous Always Asking if they Can Help Me,or Finding what i Need Home Depot Is The Place
Great, courteous and professional staff willing to help and answer questions. Clean store well maintained and stocked. Always enjoy going there.
Never been into a Home Depot before that I have been told to Go Fu#% Myself by a member of the electrical Department Staff member told me he was High as Shi# and he was quitting in a few weeks. Store managers assistant is a piece of work as well .. Last time I shop there. Too bad, we spend around 60k every year in the Saratoga and Queensbury Stores. Was going to give you guys a piece of the pie too. Way to go guys!!!!
