I went to get a state inspection and was told they didn t have time and there was no money in inspections I went to JiffyLube and they didn t have any problem doing it. Won t go to a Valvoline again!

Called in yesterday to get a car inspection. They said that they offered it the next day. I show up the next day, they don t have an inspector . Then why did you lie yesterday about having one on staff?

First of all it was my first time going here and I was a little bit hesitant but it was such a good experience. A little bit pricey but the service was quick and on point. The guys working were really professional and great!

This is my new go-to for everything. Twice they have helped me out late (soon before close) or helped me save money. They are fast, unbelievably courteous, and just good people. What they dont know is that I had been having a DAY, and their little acts of kindness can make so much of a difference in those moments, more than they realize. You cant buy that. Wouldn t recommend this place. My wife and I both trying to get our cars inspected at the same time, but the assistant manager told me I need to make an appointment since I only need an inspection. However, they told my wife she could proceed immediately because she also needs an oil change. I understand if both of us were asked to make appointments, but I feel like I was treated differently just because I ONLY need an inspection.

Ive been to this Valvoline a few times so far for various things. What really stands out is the two times I have brought two different cars for AC recharge, the service tech made a point to check for faulty parts before doing the recharge. It seems like a little thing thats obvious, but in reality another place may have done the recharge anyways and we would have been out the money. On top of that, the recharge service this last time was the least expensive in our area. We will be going to this Valvoline for any service they provide from now on.

Came in here on 07/02/2024. I came in to get a NYS inspection. The inspector was present and said he could not do my inspection due to my tints. I presented him with my NYS DMV tint waiver and then he said well the tint waiver is not posted on the correct window I offered to put it on the correct window of his choice and he still refused and kept on making excuses. He should have just said I don t feel like doing it instead of trying to make multiple excuses as to why he would not do it even after I gave him my tint waiver. I have never run into this issue getting an inspection any where else before.

Immediate service for oil change and tire rotation, friendly, and greeted upon arrival. I like the glass doors from the lobby so I can see the work. Assistant manager even came in to let me know about a bubble in my tire for future inspections. Would definitely come back for a quick service.

Fast and easy as it should be! Used a coupon for $25 off the oil change so came to about $50 for the maxlife which gives me up to 5k without worry. The staff here above all is super friendly and makes you feel like your car is in good hands!

The wait time can vary, but if I don t feel like waiting I come back later. It seems like they really care about customers because they definitely give quality service. A bird pooped on my door the other day :( but when I came to this location they saw and gave me a free car wash! They re also not overly pushy with the sales which is nice.

Needed a NYS inspection. The place wasnt busy, open bays. Would only do an inspection if I got an oil change. They should disclose that in advance. It wasnt a matter of waiting, it was I was refused service because I wouldnt add an oil change. My car didnt need an oil change, just an inspection.

Would only offer a state inspection with the purchase of an oil change. Noting the response by Valvoline - I called ahead and was told this location accepts walk-ins. When I went in they made no mention of appointments, but just the need to purchase of an oil change. I went to the sister location down the street that is by appointment only and was told this location accepts walk-ins.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. One of the technicians volunteered to change our tire and the oil change service was incredibly fast and friendly. Only place I will be getting an oil change going forward.

This is a much better solution to Jiffylube. I had gone to Jiffylube for decades, but due to their unprofessionalism, you can read my review on their site, I decided to try a different company. Valvoline was faster and more friendly. No wait, just in and out. Please consider giving them a try.

Mostly nice guys, fast service. You should know -- there is only one bay that handles inspections (on the right, closest to the office). If you are just there for an oil change, it is very likely youll be done very fast. If you are also getting an inspection, it really depends on how many people are in the right lane.

Had my vehicles transmission serviced at a Valvoline store in Ohio while on vacation, about 300 miles after the service, I was half way home, the car started smoking running hot and shifting weird. Was able to make it home. The following morning brought it to this store in Clifton Park, after being referee there by Valvoline Customer Care and the Manager of store that did the service, the technicians refused to look at where the leak might be coming from, I specifically asked if they could check the fill and drain plugs for tightness, and if after they could top me back off, since the car lost all the fluid their other store just put in. Again they refused, and suggested it was a major issue with the transmission and would in no way be valvolines fault. Mind you my car was dumping oil in their parking lot, both on the way in to the bay and back out. Called Valavoline Customer Care, they are completely worthless. An improper self diag led me to spending 1000$ on a new oil pan and filter and OE fluid, and when I completed the job found that the fill plug was loose and about 3-4 threads out, and the oring was left off the drain plug, fluid blatantly running out of both. Valvoline could have saved me that 1000$ if they had just CHECKED THE PLUGS FOR TIGHTNESS and TOPPED OFF THEIR FLUID!

Ive never had any issues with Valvoline Oil Change facilities they always have top notch staff and get you in and out relatively quickly. Theyre very thorough on checking your fluids and tire pressure and such. I recommend anyone take their vehicles to these facilities.

I m not the best when it comes to cars and definitely get nervous about places to go. This one of the few spots I feel doesn t try and push things and makes sure everything is great! I highly recommend !

I was nervous taking my car for an oil change for the first time but couldn t have had a better experience. My service was efficient, the staff were wonderful, and I never felt pressured to spend any more money than what was necessary. Highly recommend this location!

Place is run by kids on a powertrip over NYS state inspections aspiring to be mall security guards..failed me for dumb made up stuff, took my my car to a actuall shop passed me with no problem

Went in for oil change and everyone nice and fast service. When showing me my air filter, the tech snapped it in half right in front of me. Out of principle, I replaced it myself half hour later. Then I find my windshield washer cap was knocked loose and floating in my engine compartment. I m ok with trying to upsell, just don t break my stuff in the process trying to show me how dirty my air filter is.

I bring all of my companies cars here and the staff take good care of you. The manager Noah is a great guy and expects as much from his staff. They know me by name and they dont make goofy mistakes that Ive seen at other car maintenence places

I inspected 2 vehicles today 1st went without a hitch second vehicle had an issue instead of wasting my time and charging me they pointed it out so I could fix it before the inspection, so I did and they had me in and out when I got black. Checked my car over told me I needed to just do the rear brakes so I went and had them done brought the car back then they said your tire is loose this is broke so I had it all fixed again brought it back now they are violently shaking my tires looking for noises cant find anything and still wont inspect my car , always something with this place. I dont get it terrible service rude technicians. My son went to the Valvoline in Albany with his Cadillac escalade and forgot to put oil in it. We called and complained when the next day we were diving and the car overheated and nearly blew up had to have it towed called Valvoline and they kept saying they will call us back and they will let us know. Well this is years later and still havent heard back. I know its hard to find good help these days but come on. Seriously...

BEWARE!!! Dont ever go here. I went there to get my car inspected, thinking it would be quick, painless and easy. It was none of those. The driver in front of me who was also clearly getting their car inspected was allowed to stay in their car throughout, while I was instructed to get out of mine so they could pull it in the bay. I watched as the mechanic rolled my car through the entire bay then came in frantically telling me that my brakes were not working correctly that he couldnt even bring the car to a stop in the bay, and the brakes just went right to the floor. I said thats really weird because they were replaced in the spring and I JUST DROVE IT HERE WITHOUT A PROBLEM. Then the mechanic said well you should call up whoever did it and yell at them. When I didnt say anything the story changed to it was the ebrake that went right to the floor and now couldnt be disengaged. I said give me my keys Im leaving. He then had the nerve to say I wont charge you. Like I was going to pay at all for them rolling my car through the garage and trying to shake me down. I got in my car, the ebrake wasnt even engaged. I called the dealer and explained the situation and they squeezed me in, guess what??? Not one problem. What makes me most disgusted about this experience is that someone might have fallen for whatever this was and be taken advantage of. I have heard so many times of women being taken advantage of when it comes to car maintenance and I can now say it is true.

This place is under new management and boy does it show in the customer service dept! Stopped in for a oil change and was taken almost right away, they were thorough yet, didnt not try to upsell me. I hate when places do that so this made me happy! I almost want to apply for a job cause the crew seems fantastic and the place is a great environment! Little hidden gem of a car wash, great prices and gets the job done

I have been going there for years until new MGT. One visit there was 7people waiting and the bays were empty! All the employees were hanging in the waiting room. Waiting long enough, I went in to ask,WHATS UP only to be told that they were on break. We got into it and he told me to get off the property so I got out of line and went to the side of property and was reaching Corp. when police showed. They agreed with what I was doing. I left... New MGT and all is well.

This place went above and beyond with my service. They didnt upsell, they accepted the fact that I do my own maintenance and had questions about certain things. They werent pushy at all. Short wait, and even showed me a coupon that I had missed. I cant say enough good things about this place! Definitely come here for good service and no pushy upsells.

Excellent customer service. Communicated very specifically each step and offered options without press to buy. They took safety precautions Id never experienced at other places like putting the keys on the dash during the oil change. I was in & out very quickly.

Oil change ok but dont let them touch any thing else. Went for an oil change and guy brings my air filter out says its dirty. I say no thanks. Guy goes back breaks one of the screws holding the housing and puts the rusty screws back. Doesnt tell me. Find out months later when I try to change it myself.

Tried calling to make an appointment to do my New York state inspection when I called the first thing the auto answer said was no appointment required when I got there I had to make an appointment. went to jiffy lube got me in and out

Edit: I emailed their Customer Support just like the reply to this comment says and they never got back to me. Their response is automated to make it look like they care. If your A/C works fine in your car, whatever you do, do NOT let these Valvoline techs check your AC levels. Tell them outright not to touch it at all. When they put the a/c Freon pressure checker on my a/c line, they broke the valve stem piece and it leaked all of my Freon. When I took it back to them just a few seconds after they serviced it, I showed them the AC was not running cold anymore and there was a hissing noise (the sound of leaking Freon), they said my valve stem piece was rusted and must have broke when they were checking the line. They showed me a rusted nozzle part (which I have no idea if it was mine or not). I told them to fix my car since they broke it. They replaced the valve stem piece and recharged my system and charged me $150 for their screw up. Turns out, they damaged my entire A/C system when they fixed it and I had to replace my condenser and compressor. This has cost me $1400 dollars to replace on top of the $150 they charged me for their screw up.

What a great experience! I had a warning light come on in my vehicle, specifically the Low Coolant Level, I thought it might be detrimental. These guys were awesome! Scanned and checked my whole system, added coolant and then had me run the vehicle with the heat full blast to make sure that everything was good before I left! Highly recommend!!!

Their so called inspector for NYS auto inspections is over critical and caused me 2 weeks of unnecessary auto repairs to my brake system. Finally went to Jiffy Lube after replacing several components myself and it passed.... easily. I understand safety is a priority, however, creating your own criteria as to what passes and what does not is bad business. I will go elsewhere from now on.

I got there 5 minutes before they closed. The guys working were so nice they took me right in. They worked fast to get it done and were so nice.

I have been going there for 3 years, both cars for oil changes and inspection- the previous staffing was great- but the new crew Manager doesn t care to listen - I went twice, asked them to be sure the shield is tight- again she ignored it- It might sound small, but I travel daily, and that sound is loud. She can careless. - Listen to people - simple. Ok, well my business is done with this shop. I would say the assistant manager is good, he should be moved to a better environment. That s the reason for the two stars

I got an oil change and didnt even suspect that my hood want closed all t the way, the next day Im driving and just flies up in to my windshield. Thankfully it didnt break, but getting ahold of anyone at the company to fix this problem had been been a nightmare for over 2 weeks. I had to take an immediate flight cross country because my grandfather was dying and told them my friend would be taking care if it while Im out...she called to check on things since it has been over a week at that point and the manager was super rude to her and that they dont have to talk to her. I work 2 jobs as a delivery driver for both and cant work with my car in this condition and losing money because i cant work My worst experience at any oil change place.

Was expecting to get an oil change....they told me that the prior visit didnt adjust my schedule to 7000 miles vs the recorded 3000...didnt need to get oil changed. Appreciate the service, and while I was there, they topped off my fluids. Definitely coming back.

Said they could not check the air filter because one of the screws in the cover was stripped. That was not true. A few days later I was able to remove the screws and the cover. Checked the air pressure after I left there. Every tire was at 27 psi, should be at 32 psi. Valve cover stems were not tightened and one was missing.

They try to talk you into things you dont need. Extra services. I told him just change the oil & Ill let my husband worry about the leak in the rear of the vehicle. Other then that in and out fast.

Super disgusted with my recent oil change here not only did yous try to tell me my transmission was sealed when its not but you also messed with my battery and never tightened it and because of it had me on the side of the road for 2 hours with my car not starting... do not go here

On my way to work this morning my car showed a warning that my engine had overheated. At lunchtime I brought it to Valvoline in Clifton Park - 1682 Route 9 - and they did a wonderful job. Dan (the manager) and Dan (employee) both educated me on what was happening - turns out I had no coolant. I also needed an oil change, and they took care of everything within a half an hour, and went above and beyond. Definitely recommend them.
