Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Clifton Park

Went for oil change. While inside heard a loud noise and car shifted like it fell down couple inches. Employees moved me to the other lane. Cracks in the ground. What a joke, obviously the ground is breaking or they wouldn t have moved me. Why is this allowed? Could have fell through the floor.

Appears to be closed . 10 am Saturday morning and no one working.

Was denied a New York State inspection today because I was not getting my oil changed at the same time...Tis is the second time in the past 30days that I was there. I was told to take it to my dealer and my 21 dollars wouldnt break them... Extremely disrespectful been doing business there for many years. No longer!

There goes my loyalty. Been coming to this Valvoline next to warren tires Rt 9 Clifton park NY for past 17yrs. After today I am done with them. I had an appointment last week for noon, didn t get inside until 12:21pm than the guy Justin, told me I have to get my license plate light done to past inspection and come back again. I did what was told. Went today to schedule appointment since they are not answer they phone no matter how many times you called. I pulled up there was no cars in any of they bay but the new guy told me; I still have to schedule appointment for inspection but won t be until September 2,2020 than proceed to tell me to check the other spot. Okay I went to the other spot. There s cars there but doesn t have nothing available until September 3,2020. Like seriously. The first spot have no cars but I have to schedule an appointment until next month. While those two just stood around talking to each other and not answering or doing anything. People using this COVID-19 to be lazy. A lot of those businesses going to loose a lot of loyal customers. UPDATE: we are in the middle of 2023 and still need to schedule appointments for inspection.

Love that they were walk in only. Waited about 15 mins for my oil change. Drove right in, they let you stay in the car if you want.

I went there for an oil change today it was super quick and Tyler the assistant manager was super helpful and informative. I usually go to Midas and usually their service is good but I m waiting in the waiting room a lot. I like how I can stay in my car while they do everything as opposed to just waiting in a waiting room. I will definitely be back for any service they can provide. Highly recommend.

I asked for a inspection and tire rotation and was told they only have one jack , and got turned away

I had several oil changes there with no complaints and went to get a Ney York State inspection. They told me by appointment only with three guys doing nothing at the time and no signs saying inspections by appointment only. I called their corporate office and was offered 1/2 off my next oil change that I will not have done.

Good guys here. They will try to sell you things, so I recommend knowing what you need before you get there. Air filters, synthetic oil or regular oil, wipers etc... They do good work.

WORST customer service ever! After a 10 hour work day I drove 30 minutes out of my way with a toddler and an infant in the car to be turned away for a simple car inspection although they were still open for business!! I was polite and explained my situation and there was no compassion or flexibility. Just sheep that can t think or work outside the box. I WILL NEVER come back for any service.

After calling to verify if an appointment was needed for an inspection, I was told there was no appointment needed and told me there was one person who does them and what day to arrive. When I arrived on the day I was told, I was turned away and told they do not do inspections without an appointment and the person that does them was not there. I was instructed to go to the neighboring Valvoline. There, I was told that they were not doing inspections until 2024. Meanwhile, the car in front of me was getting a new inspection sticker put on. Would not recommend the locations in Clifton Park. Not the 1st time I was given misinformation regarding services.

Expensive. I still prefer Valvoline over Jiffy Lube. But theyre all about the $$$ and always trying to upsell something. They dont even top off all your fluids anymore. Still, I dont want to change my own oil. Kindle of a necessary evil.

Took car in for oil change. Sam (attendant) and the assistant store manager were extremely polite and attentive. The cost is pretty average but would go again just for the speed and their customer service.

today was not a good day for the techs at this location. when I pulled into the garage, I was the only car there. 3 different techs proceeded to start work but very quickly it results in confusion and sloppiness. one tech stated I had NO transmission fluid which was very concerning. then he should me I had bad AC pressure. at which another tech stated Upselling me on all their expensive services. I asked if they would top off the transmission fluid as part of the oil change and they agreed. then they all disappeared to service another car. when a 3rd tech returned to finish up, he relayed all the thing they had done. but when I questioned him about the tire pressure and transmission fluid he assured me they were completed. I asked if HE had done then, No but the other guy had, great double check with him. Oops nope that wasnt done. Then wheni inquired about the trans. fluid a 3rd time, the tech stated it was Fine and the New guy doesnt know what hes doing! Not Reassuring. if someone from the valvoline reads this, I dont want a free service or a discount, just reply with an actual apology for Really poor service.

Pulled in to an empty garage, no customers. Service rep said they only do inspections by appt. He sent me to their sister store 1/10 mile away. Also empty, no customers, the greeter said his guy left to go somewhere with the necessary tools to remove tires for inspection. He said I could try back after 45 minutes. I went to Jiffy Lube around the corner and got in and out quickly. Valvo was my go to. JH

Ever since we moved here I always go to this t valvoline locations in my area clifton park NY either one is available I go. They do not require booking anymore. But for car inspection you still have to call them and book an appointment. Not like the other locations what service you ask is what they do plus they give some recommendations

Stopped in for a inspection at 230pm .Upon pulling up a store employee told me that inspections are done by appointment only, it would be 13 days at the earliest? There were no other customers at shop that day,Great way to to get customers to use your competitors which I did .

Went in for a oil change and the individual in charge of putting the filter in didn t make sure the filter was tight and a few weeks later the filter worked it s was off and nearly caused damage to my car.

Consciousness guy Justin did my inspection. Was very careful and thorough. Like the small shop in Clifton park, its more personal with the customer there.

Quick! I wasnt pressured when asked about other services. It was a little expensive but felt confident the job I requested was properly done.

The staff do not wear masks, and sent a couple cars ahead of me even though I just needed an oil change (the other cars needed more work done). My car didnt turn on when they were done so they had to fix that issue too. The price is a little more than most places too. I definitely recommend going somewhere else if you can.

Theyve always been good to me and my vehicles. Lead man was a mechanic for a number of years so no mechanical fears as far as what I was there for.

It was my first time going to valvoline and I went in for an oil change. Justin did an amazing job. Very friendly & let me know what he was doing every step of the way. He even filled up my washer fluid and filled my tires with air without me even asking! Definitely will be returning in the future.

Quick and painless

You know the thing about oil changes is your car lets you know when it needs a new one, but its even better when no tonly do they change the oil to the wrong kinda so I have to get the line flushed but, just put it on top of the old thanks valvoline.

Took an hour and a half for an oil change and inspection with 3 employees present and only two bays. All 3 employees moved about as fast as Zootopias Sloth despite a line of cars waiting for service after me.

Have gone in for 3 oil changes, the last one 2 weeks ago. When leaving work a few days ago, a coworker informed me my car was leaking something. I took my Subaru into get looked at and the oil cap had not been properly tightened, hence why my car was spewing liquid. Will NEVER bring my car back to Valvoline and I suggest you never do too!

I went for an oil change, when I got there was addressed me right away. I was told that it would be about twenty minutes.

I would not recommend this place to anyone who actually values their car. Employees are very friendly though. This place has cost me over 150 dollars in repairs stemming from a simple oil change. I will never go back to this location or any other location.

Regardless of having good service for many years, today was so bad, I am never going back. A week ago I was told I needed 1 new tire to pass inspection. I got the new tire put on and went back today. A different person greated me. He walked around the car and checked all the tires, and then he asked me for my receipt. They never gave me one before....printer wasnt working. Now I wait 20 min or so even though they had an open bay and probably enough staff to just see I had a new tire. I get closer and the original guy asks me about the tires and I repeated what he had told me a week ago. Next HE walks all around the car checking all my tires and asks me how many miles I have on them. I wouldnt answer, but I told him he better not dare tell me that NOW I have to go back and buy more tires. I wait in the waiting room for 10 minutes while he does who knows what and then he tells me I need a new windshield wiper. Now why didnt he tell me that at the same time he told me I needed a tire? I said I would go to Walmart and get one and he said it was too late. Well, I surprised him and pulled a new wiper out from my backseat. Me 10, Valvoline 0

The manager chastised an employee out in the open in front of customers for a personal issue. People were coming and going that were not employees or customers. It was like the place is a hang out. I went for an inspection, on the way in the employee slapped the side of my taillight rather hard and it went out. I was then told if I didn t purchase a new taillight I would not pass inspection. Scam. Service was mediocre at best. I recently went to the valvoline down the road . Very professional and polite. A much better run operation than the amateur hour rag tags down the street.

Staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. As with most places they made recommendations of services for my vehicle for the mileage. They were not pushy but took time to explain everything. I did not feel rushed or put on the spot. They took time to walk through every step of the process yet maintained a very efficient pace. I would recommend the services at this Valvoline Instant Oil Change over any other competitors in the area.

Went for oil change and inspection yesterday. Very friendly guys no doubt about that but they really scared me about what I observed. This place has no customer waiting area. Small area with 4 chairs for those people who does get inspection done. I was standing and watching them doing oil change and air filter change for a dodge car while a man with veterans hat sitting inside. This short looking mechanic put the circular air filter in and closing things up bu he dropped the last long screw right through the car. He asks the other guy lean and slim looking mechanic in the bottom bay if he could find it. Slim looking guy from botton tries and say Nope couldnt find it. This mechanic on top floor says Never mind and he never cared to find or put that screw back. He shows the oil level and customers pays. Off goes customer... My car passed the inspection but my emergency parking break handle so loose and wint work. I went back today and asked they say it passed no issue.I think they screwed something up....not going there again....safety risk very very high...not sure how many screws missing in my car now....

Fast, wow! Much faster than jiffy lube.
