UPDATE: Went back again 7 months later and the service team was as professional and thorough as it was the last time. Laura and Marcos were extremely helpful and prompt. Service still great, and the price was more than fair. Excellent!! 11/2/24 - More time has passed and I ve had several other great experiences with this MONRO center. Here s my latest and you should read this. The registration on my car expired, so I went to get it done in a jiffy at a shop up the road. I have non-locking lug nuts (a thin walled socket would be needed, though) on my car. While I was in the waiting room, the shop took my old sticker, failed the car because THEY did not have a socket, and they charged me $21.00. I was in shock. It was Saturday and I figured MONRO would be swamped, but I went to my go-to MONRO for help. The manager looked at my car (Altima) and said no problem, bring it back in 3 hours and we ll get it done . I did so, and I witnessed probably the most thorough and careful inspection I ve ever seen. My car is well kept and I knew it would pass, but I paid for my mistake by not coming to MONRO first. They came through again, and made up for the lesser shop s failure to deliver. While I was waiting, the other shop sent me a survey, and I m sure we ll be having a conversation this coming week about customer service. Lesson learned. Go to the pros at MONRO. Period. Thank you again for a great experience!

Had a tire going down, took me in as a walk in after 5pm after a 10 min wait as they searched a part for another customer. Happy to check it out, found the issue and repaired, was on the road 30 minutes or so later.

I made an appointment online for an 8 am inspection weeks ago. I got there a little early. 2 people in the bays. I stood there over 10 minutes before I was waited on only to find out the Inspector is not going to be in until 8:35, and was asked to come back at 9. I came back and now there is 2 people ahead of me waiting for an Inspection. This is very poor customer service!

After a first visit where they replaced both front calipers 4 rotors 4 sets of pads for over 1500$ i smelled some ceramic and heard a loud clank over potholes. Turns out the installer forgot a bolt on 1 of the front calipers so it was banging on the rim when i hit potholes. The ceramic was because the back calipers werent fully releasing so another 900 to replace those. Something that clearly should have been done the first visit. Youd think this would be done labor free since 99% of the work was done the first time when they replaced the rotors and pads. But despite the unforgivable act of forggeting a bolt on the front and not checking the rear calipers before replacong everything else in the back they still charge full upcharge on the calipers and full labor to redo it all. Not impressed.

I called them about an hour and a half before they closed and they still got me in for an oil change and an inspection! Very happy with the service. Would definitely recommend.

Very unprofessional establishment. I made a 8am appointment for a NYS inspection. The shop is suppose to be open at 7:30am. I show up at 7:50am, doors locked! I wait till 8:10am. A guy pulls up and I ask, do you work here? He says, yes. I say I have a 8am appointment for a NYS inspection. His come back was, the inspector does not get in till 9am!!! It would have been very useful for them to state that on their website so, people like myself don t have to ruin their mornings!!! I will be passing the word around to not use this shop ever!!!!

I dont know what happened to this place but its very sad. The first time I came here it was on a Sunday a couple years ago. Got a flat tire out of nowhere and got it fixed right away, would give it 5 stars. Past couple times I came and there was either nobody to inspect the car until much later in the morning or closed when its supposed to be open. Yesterday I called to change my appointment to today at 8:30 (mind you its supposed to open at 7:30). Today I arrive a little early and the shop is not open yet. I seen a couple customers who left and drove somewhere else. Past 8:30 and I only see a guy mopping the floor, shop is still not open! My advice: Either change your hours or close completely if you dont have enough staff. Very unprofessional business. Youre better off going somewhere else if you want your work done early.

Memorial Day weekend they were able to help me get my car serviced for all four brand new tires. Very friendly price is reasonable. Totally recommend I will be back for sure. Thanks again guys!

If I could put a minus 0 I would! I had an appointment, and the manager said I didnt when I arrived. I knew I made it with him because he had the same accent. Then he couldnt find me on the computer. Then he said he found two of me.. but couldnt tell me when my last oil change was because they had no sticker to put on my car the last time they did it. He said he would do the inspection. He said the check engine light was on. I said it comes on and off and has for 2 years. He, reluctantly, used his machine to find out what code was coming on for the problem. He said, several codes were coming up. Then he started walking away.. I said, Where are you going? He said youre all set. I said, Are you going to fix my car? He said, its coming up with too many codes, and I dont have time to spend right now figuring them out, Ill be in touch. I said, when will that be? He said as soon as I can get to it. Today, I then went to another establishment, and they hooked up the SAME machine to get the code. It came up as the intake manifold actuator. There were NOT SEVERAL CODES, to have to decipher. The mechanic knew what it was within minutes.. not even 5 minutes. Every time you go to Monroe, theres a different manager. The last time I went there, that manager, said he would put windshield wipers on for nothing, so I gave him $20 quietly, as a kind gesture. When I got home, I realized they were USED wipers and two different ones, with one having a big piece hanging from it. I called right away, and he denied everything.. it was unbelievable! I went up the next day, and the mechanic put on two new wipers at no cost, and couldnt believe the manager did that and even took the money that I gave him. I WOULD RUN...NOT WALK... FROM MONROE... WHAT kind of operation do you run???

Made an appointment for same day for my son s car and was able to get in and out in 30 mins. Easy to find, plenty of parking, price was reasonable.

Trisha and Bob have been nothing short of amazing. They helped me jump my car and limp it into their lot. I will continue to come back to their shop due to the compassion and kindness they showed me here today. These two put all other shops to shame. I will be recommending my family and friends to them as they have earned my business!!!

I called the day of to see if this Monroe can squeeze me in for a State Inspection on a 2023 vehicle and they were very accommodating and said yes but I would have to leave the vehicle. I had no problem doing so and pick up my vehicle later when the inspection was completed. Thank you so much Monroe.

DO NOT EVER GO HERE, HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!!! Went in to purchase two singular lights. A front and brake light for a 2019 Hyundai Elantra SE. Harry Fredenburgh, the manager of this establishment charged me $67.95 to replace two 2357 bulbs. See below invoice. Here are the facts; A PACK OF TWO 2357 BULBS ARE $4.48 RETAIL VALUE MONRO CHARGED ME 11.75 X 2 $23 (an almost 5x retail price gouge) MONRO ALSO CHARGED ME $20 x 2 IN LABOR $40 Total cost: $67.95 I have two children. Who can afford this? I stupidly paid the price not realizing just how badly he was harming my family. When I called to rectify, the manager blamed it all on price markup and was very mean and nasty to me when I mentioned the real cost of the bulb. Don t go here unless you want to be taken advantage of or robbed. Delightful management MONRO! Will be calling the main office line tomorrow :)

Had some difficult tires to deal with and they had them mounted and balanced quickly and easily! Recommend! Brian was awesome!

If requesting a tire rotation, make a mark on a tire to ensure they actually rotate the tires. When I got my oil change, I asked specifically that the tires be rotated and it was included in the price. However, they did not and I ended up having to go back and wait for them to do it the next day. It was my first visit and as a result the last.

These guys are great! So thankful they were open on Sunday for the nail removal surgery! So friendly and helpful this is the 2nd time they have come to my rescue! Thank you!!

I brought my truck in here on a busy Saturday at 12 pm for a NYS inspection. I spoke and was invited into the office by Anthony, the manager. He was the only worker behind the desk. He was polite, honest, and made sure that during my time waiting for the truck to be inspected, I was comfortable, enjoyed the tv station, and he engaged in conversation to learn things about me that are not typical of other auto body shops I have experienced. I will certainly return and recommend this location to anyone in the Clifton Park area or around. Highly recommend.

I have used Monro in CP in the past because I truly believed that they were dependable and trustworthy. They didn t try to charge for unneeded repairs. But now they have ruined their credibility for me. I took my vehicle there (39,000) miles for its yearly inspection and they said it failed due to bad calipers, rotors, and pads; despite it having none of the typical warning signs of bad brakes. No noise, gripping, etc. I decided to take it elsewhere for a second opinion. As I suspected, my vehicle passed inspection and needed no brake repair, or any repair, whatsoever. To make matters worse, they lied and stated that they rotated my tires, but absolutely didn t. I will completely avoid Monro in the future.

Brought my car in for NYS inspection. Even with a full parking lot and service bays and with no appointment Laura was able to get it done in no time! Very friendly courteous and knowledgeable. I will absolutely be back for maintenance from her in the future!

This Monro shop is absolutely the best. They are extremely customer focused. I watched interactions with other customers and Laura was A1 stupendous. The 2 technicians were very helpful and went out of their way to assist me. Finally Laura did everything she could to assist with the overall costs. I have never been so impressed with a car repair shop. I would highly recommend this Monro shop for your auto repair needs. Their skills, knowledge and customer service is number 1.

Fixed my out of balance tires and rotated my wheels in under an hour!! all on a Saturday 2 hours before close on labor day weekend !

I had just gotten new tires on the back and needed an alignment ASAP. With the holiday I wasn t sure if I could find a place to get me in before my road trip in 2 days. They got me in ON THE HOLIDAY (Labor Day). They also had me in and out in under an hour. I typically try to avoid chain brands like this as they tend to be on the pricy side but they saved the day for me. Laura and Jon were the techs that got the job done and Chris worked in the office updating me as they worked. I d 100% recommend this shop SPECIFICALLY! Couldn t be happier with the service by those 3. If their boss is reading this:. Give them all a bonus, they deserve it!

Shannon and Bob were very courteous. They provided me with a detailed estimate of the work needed at a fair price. All work was completed in a timely manner.

I really am impressed. I came here after having a negative experience with another shop, and was blown away by the differences. Chris and John took care of me and made sure I understood my options and what would work best for my driving habits. They worked around my busy schedule to install my tires which took a huge relief off of my back. I truly felt listened to and valued. I ll definitely be coming here now for my routine maintenance. I m happy I found a shop that I can trust.

I went in for an inspection sticker and was failed due to rotors I had replaced last year at 4000 miles on them so at first I was in disbelief. Come to find out I got defective rotors and pads with no way I would have known that unless I got under and looked at the back side of the rotors there was no noise and always stopped. In the end I got rotors, pads , tail light, and a sticker at no cost to me. So thank you Bob the inspection guy there cause taken anywhere else that s something that s could have easily been missed. Thank you little things like that save lives.

I can t say enough great things about this particular Monro shop. They always offer top quality service! Nick assisted me with some repairs needed on my vehicle yesterday. He talked me through the concerns, costs and was able to work on the repairs the same day. From simple oil changes to larger repairs, feel confident working with this repair shop.

Was the place to go when Laura, John and Bob did the work and Marcos was the manager. Things have changed and all are gone except Bob. After my last experience there, I will never go back.

I had exhaust issues with my Subaru. I was quoted at a Subaru dealer over a thousand dollars ! thanks to Marcos, the manager, the techs were able to cut out the bad part and weld in a new piece for under two hundred dollars ! They saved me eight hundred dollars . I cant recommend them highly enough !

Thank you to the team at Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers in Clifton Park. I had an issue arise late Sunday afternoon, not many service centers are open, so I was relived to know that they were as theyve assisted me in the past. I dropped it off and it was on the lift first thing Monday morning. Thank you to Bob who greeted me at drop off and to George and Marco who were in constant communication with me while it was being serviced.

Bob at the counter really saved my day. Got me right in an hour before closing when I had an emergency with my tires that needed to be replaced. Two other garages in the area said they didn t have the time. Really appreciated the help.

Amazing and cheap service here. Have been here on several occasions getting my tires put on my rims and they re always quick with it, and at $25 a tire to mount them it s a good deal. Will definitely come again for everything I need for tire work.

Ordered and scheduled an appointment for tires online, received a confirmation call the next morning to verify information as the tires had to be brought from a sister store which was appreciated. They were quick to get in my car that desperately needed to get new brakes and rotors for the front and rear, and an oil change. Laura called me and explained everything I needed. She was incredibly understanding and when I arrived to pick my car up, she showed me my front and rear rotors/brake pads so that I could understand why my car was making the noises it was making. This location has accommodating and helpful employees.

I have gone to many Monro Muffler Brake service but I like this one they get me in and out and they always do a great job the staff and the manager is very nice they go through everything with you and they explain things to you A lot of people do not let go into the fast mechanic areas because they think theyre going to get ripped off that is not true go to Monro Muffler Brake service in Clifton Park they would treat you well and you will come out very happy I give them a five-star

Would not suggest monro in Halfmoon, NY to anyone. They try charging for new parts just replaced. Failed my vehicle for a suggested repair only, not a pass/fail part.

The only place Ill go to in the area for tires. I found the place by searching for the road force balance machine specifically on the manufacturers website. They have done a great job for all my cars and have been very friendly and upfront.

Theres been a big improvement in customer service thanks to the new manager Laura. I was likely going to switch auto service centers after a few average experiences in prior visits. This latest visit turned it around, when I m looking to replace a few sets of tires later this year this location will be my first call thanks to Laura s great customer service.

I sat there for 4 hours for a 45 minute job. No one told me they had to order parts from another store and wait for them or else I would ve gone home and came back. This was ridiculous and my second bad experience with Monro. I will NEVER bring my cars here again. They broke it once and have to fix it then take 4 hours??? not cool.

Best service ever. Emergency problem saturday afternoon when I was driving back to Quebec. I had an alternator problem for my Honda pilot. They work until 6pm to be sure I can drive back.

The whole staff is wonderful! I took my RAV4 here when the check engine light started flashing, and I panicked. They ran a diagnostic and eased my comfort letting me know it was a couple of misfires. They fixed it quickly and without issue. Then when I got my jeep a few weeks later, I started having an electrical problem with the auto on/off. I am new to the area and dont know anything about vehicles, so I called Monros again because of how comfortable I felt during the first experience. Once again, they were as great as can be. Laura was nice and communicative with me, explaining each step of my auto service to me. On top of the recent move, a vehicle acting up is just another stressor, but taking it to Monros made the experience as stress free as possible. I will definitely be taking both of my vehicles back for service.

Laurie and Bob went above and beyond! I was told that the squeal when I turned meant I needed new routers and brakes, (17k miles on car!) And inspection not going to pass at a different location. Turned out to be rust behind wheel plate cover, which Bob removed, showed us that brake pads were totally fine and after test drive no squeal and passed inspection. Saved me over $400! Customer for life.

August 2022.I had my spark plugs and coils changed per the technician advise. October 6, 2022 while driving to work my Mazda cx5 was unable to accelerate past 35 miles I was driving in the pouring rain this was dangerous. After taking my vehichle to the Mazda dealer on central avenue in Albany. I was advised the spark plugs were all cracked and the 3 coils where a low grade coil not made for the mazda and the 4th coil was never changed. I contacted Monro spoke with the manager Marco who advised me to bring the vehichle back to them. I was unable to drive my vehichle as it had NO power. Marco spoke to the service department at Mazda. Marco gave me her personal cell phone which, I sent him the video from the Mazda dealer of thier assessment of the BAD spark plugs and COILS I took my recoept to Monro showed Marco which he took a copy of for the corporate office. I also showed him all four spark plugs and coils. I contacted the better business bureau. Monro is going to reimburse me for the money that they did in August, however they did Not do the work they said they did. In the response from Monro to the better business bureau, they indicated I never reached out to Monro another lie. I am definitely going to pursue this with the Attorney general for fraud. IF ANYONE IS GOING TO HAVE WORK DONE AT ANY MONRO ASK FOR YOUR OLD PARTS HACK SO YOU CAN MAKE SURE THEY PUT NEW PARTS IN AND DEFINITELY SUPERVISE THE WORK. I WAS ALSO TOLD BY MARCO THAT HE HAD TO LET A TECHNICIAN GO THE WEEK PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING TO ME FOR NOT DOING THE EORK THAT HE CLAIMED HE DID.

Laura is excellent and the service I was provided was top notch! She really understands the mechanics of vehicles, isnt afraid to do research, and provides great customer service. It seems like they have weeded out the problem people and it has truly improved the service and experience! Bob has also always amazing, he knows his stuff and has always provided exceptional service! Thanks team!

If you dont have a mechanic in the Clifton Park area and dont know who to trust, come to Monro in Clifton Park. The manager, Marcos, is wonderful and very accommodating. All of the people working in the shop are kind and willing to help with anything. Could not recommend it more.

a little late to this review but I gotta give this place 5 stars. the man behind the register was super chill and super understanding came in with a broken caliper and a dead batterie came out 1 1/2 hour later with everything fix pulse new lug nuts on my tires and the prices are more then fair. the mechanic was also super helpful and respectful and more then willing to give me more information on my car and teach me once it was done.

Brought a car their and had it there over the weekend of Halloween. The car was stolen and they keys were gone. They had no idea where it went. Have been going their for the past 5 years and had no issues until I moved up here. No idea what happened and not happy

I consider my car, Charlie to be a peer since we re about the same age. She started acting uncomfortable so I took her into monro, after reading all of their great reviews online. I told them about Charlie s symptoms (old tires, won t accelerate, she groans kinda loud etc) and mentioned I know nothing about car anatomy or illness. I dropped her off on Saturday morning, picked her up Sunday and throughout her stay, I was kept up to date by staff of how she s doing and what she needs. The estimate was incredibly reasonable for the treatment she needed and the final price ended up being cheaper! They were very hospitable and complimented her when I picked her up (I m sure she s thrilled!). 10/10 will go again these guys won t judge you if you know nothing about cars, they ll help you immediately and take care of all issues at once for a very cheap price compared to other places.

I had an emergency parking brake light on my Mitsubishi Outlander. Monro technician spent over an hour troubleshooting. Unfortunately, the error needed a dealer to fix. They explained the situation clearly to me and did not charge me for their time. The Monro team was very professional and were able to get me in very quickly. They were recommended to me by my Father and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for work on their car.

I found a screw in my tire and called around to many different tire places, and was told I would need to make an appointment for the following week. I went to Monroe and asked them to take a quick look at it, and they were more than happy to help me. The screw did not puncture the tire, so no services were needed. However, I greatly appreciated them being willing to take time out of their busy schedule to look at it for me. I will be coming back to Monroe in the future.

I had a pleasant experience here today with a timely, accurate diagnosis and honest remedy for a tire that won t hold air. The people running this location were up front and fair. I highly recommend.

This has been my regular mechanic place for a few years now and I ve witnessed managers as well as staff members come and go throughout that time. However, I went there today (thankfully I didn t stay) and there is apparently another new store manager there and I must say he is by far one of the worst I have seen yet. I m not sure why the previous store manager left but he should come back. Marcos and Laura made an amazing team and worked side by side with the rest of the team. This gentleman however was rude, short, unfriendly and did not seem to know much about his job. He only seemed to be focused on the money aspect of things and not at all on the customers. I will not be returning to monro because of him.

I made an appointment online, which is a great service, to have my brakes checked. Had to have rear brake pads and rotors replaced. The whole job lasted about 2 1/2 hours. Staff is very helpful and informative. I will be back for any car service in the future, I even sent my mother there to have her brakes checked! Thank you so much!!

Had my brakes and pads appointment booked for Thursday morning 8 am and when I came in they made me drop off my car and said they had no appointment saved for me !!! So I had too wait all day for them too fix my brakes and pads !!!! Thanks u so much made me lose over 200 doing DoorDash just because of a job that can be done in less than an hour !!! Very disappointed in this place and will never recommend too anyone !! Plus they rip u off on there prices there !!! They only care about making money , they don t care about the customer experience!!

An unreal experience after 40 years of owning vehicles. Brought in with power steering leak and AC not working and asked them to check on engine light. Waited a few days to hear back but no one called . Stopped in the following Monday to ask about progress - diagnostics etc etc. Told me that didnt fix power steering leak or even tell me what the issue was -- part to old was only mumble from counter person (2014 Durango ) not exactly a classic . Asked about AC told me the through some dye in there but takes a few weeks to go through system . then proceeded to check me out . Turned on car no power steering fluid in chamber -- had to go buy some before taking car and AC didnt even come close to working . So not sure what they did but should not have taken my car in as I explained the issues before accepting appointment. What a joke ! So they did nothing and didnt care one way or another -- I never put up reviews about companies but I would never set foot in there again and shame on them for calling it an auto center as they are incapable of doing any repairs or communicating issues. And I know --I know -- your understaffed like everyone else . Maybe at least you would consider answering your phone or contacting clients back with issues or excuses . There is no excuse for this. Go there at our own peril --find somewhere better - Clifton Park NY

Had an appointment for 1pm to have 4 tires put on was there till 4pm, had to tell tech how to torque wheels. On the way home truck shakes so bad will shake the fillings out of your teeth. Will Definitely not be back. I was a mechanic for 20 years, didnt think tires would be all that hard. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because they were atleast nice.

Brought Car in for an issue with my tire, Found the problem right away and fixed it. People were super friendly there and I would go back in a heart beat.

Brought car in for flat tire, a bolt had stuck in the tread. Ryan not only drove my car on the rim, since he was too lazy to pump it back up, but he decided to put an adhesive on the lug nuts before over tightening them to the point where where they warped the rim. Would give the 0 stars if i could. Do yourself the favor and go about a mile down the road to Tire Warehouse and save yourself the trouble and money

I m never going to this location again and as far as I m concerned should get some kind of refund. I m really not happy at all. I don t have time to constantly bring my car in for a leak that should have been fixed the first time. Service was RUDE, never called with the status of my car. How hard is it to mount and balance snow tires and find a leak??? Ridiculous!

Ordered 4 tires and made an appointment 3 weeks ago. Showed up for said appt only to be told the tires aren t in stock, and would I like something else? Wasn t comfortable ordering without any research so I left. Why wasn t I called about this this morning? Do they think I am coming back? Not likely. EDIT: Got the response below. My feeling is 1) what can you do? I already got the work done elsewhere (quick and friendly, thank you, Midas), and 2) if you cared enough you would have called me. You didn t. Good riddance, Monro.

Very honest place !!

I had the most incredible experience at Monroe in clifton Park. I was extremely lucky to have Brett Scelzi to be at the counter as I walked in. I was having problems with my muffler and had an horrible experience else where and for months not being able to resolve the issue which became extremely stressful. In less then an half an hour the issue was fixed by Brett and his team. Brett went above and beyond something I dont come across anymore, I am truly grateful for him. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience there a while ago and now I will be returning with all of my services Brett made a huge difference very friendly and welcoming atmosphere with complete trust in your vehicle Thank you very much
