Tried to buy two different construction machines on two different dates. Communication from Sales was absolutely horrible. Never got a phone call back. I don t understand why you can t go into a store and sign your name to $100,000. This company makes it so damn complicated.Kind of acted like they didn t even wanna sell me anything wont waste my time ever again.

I had a very helpful salesman by the name of Paul Finnerty,he was very helpful with showing me an S220 which I found to be just what I was looking for as well as a bagger system which works very well. I was also able to get extended warranty which I as happy about. The 22hp v twin B&S engine which puts out a good amount of power for this tractor . I finally was able to use it for 1st cut of the lawn and all went well,the lawn looks great and had it all done in less than 1hr which is nice. Now I want to speak about the delivery of the tractor by Spike who knows his stuff dealing with lawn tractors,he went thru all the set up of the bagger system which was very clear and easy,as well as all the other operating systems he went thru everything on the tractor with me as well as clearly answering all my questions. I decided to finally buy a riding lawnmower this year and wanted a quality machine. John Deere immediately came to mind. My first contact was with Kevin at the parts counter, who answered some initial concerns I had about riding mowers. Upon delivery, Spike gave a thorough description of the machine, and walked me through the safe operation of my new S240 mower. I rarely write reviews and post them on-line. However, my recent experience with the staff at United Ag & Turf demands I do. I purchased a new John Deere X350 Lawn Tractor with the help of Joe and Paul who are the principles on Uniteds sales staff. They explained everything, answered all my questions and provided my new machine as requested. Another fellow I need to mention is Spike who delivered my new tractor with great courtesy and right on time. I have been researching lawn mowers for weeks I need one for my daughter she is a single mom. So I went to different places and no help at Lowes or home depot and tractor supply. They were no help to me I looked up reviews it was getting very stressful. I looked up dealer ships to get information United Ag and Turf in Clifton Park. Kyle and Keven were great. I wanted to update equipment recently, and contacted United Ag in Clifton Park. I was fortunate to have made contact with a salesman named Joe. He made every effort to explain all the available programs ( that assist with purchases) to me, and spent a lot of time reviewing optional equipment, and attachment s . He also shared info that made it easy to compare the JD product line to that of the Orange company . It was informative and friendly, which helped me confirm that I was in the right dealership, and buying the machine and attachments I really wanted while being treated by a friendly, knowledgeable salesman. Joe left no stone unturned with regard to finance options and different packages that allowed me to actually get more than what I hoped for. Don t be intimidated by the size of United Ag &Turf , they ve made the right investment in quality staff members that make the experience of purchasing equipment comfortable and as easy as I ve ever seen.

Tried to get bolts that the Chatham store said the Halfmoon store had Chatham store figured out the bolts in about a min Halfmoon said he couldn t picture what three star head bolts look like and what three bolts holding the shaft to the motor could be useless

I purchased an S130 from United Ag and Turf in Clifton Park this year. They were terrific to deal with. Spike delivered the mower and showed me how to install the bagging system and even offered to return in the fall if I forgot how to do it. He answered every question and then some. A few weeks after delivery Joe Nuceifero stopped by after work to install the mulch cover for me. This mower is solid and is built solidly plus the staff is the best! I had two Craftsmen mowers before this one and had nothing but trouble for years. I have replaced engines, and paid for repairs and lost weeks waiting for repairs to be complete. I wish that I had done this sooner. I paid a little more and received a whole lot more.

3 weeks for a full service on my 3 year old 130 is ridicules followed by the need to stay at home on a beautiful Saturday from 9 to 1 for delivery ! Thank you Spike for your professionalism, you get 5 stars !

I was amazed of the number of people on the counter for parts but got no attention from anyone of them. I counted 5 people, for on screen and only one working. I find it hard to buy any equipment when I can expect my service to take two weeks or more to even get looked at. Two weeks or more of downtime?!? The folks at Capital Tractor have a service person out to me the next day! I guess the decision is whether I want to earn green or have my tractor painted green.

Just had delivered a John Deere X330 mower with 48 deck. Spike (nickname) delivered the mower yesterday. He was very personable, professional and gave a thorough overview of its operation. Our Sales Associate was Esteban Rodriguez. He too was also personable, professional and thoroughly covered all the mowers that would meet our needs. Although we hoped to win the mower via their grand opening raffle, he made it possible to still purchase one.

Last year we bought a riding mower for our daughter and her husband, and we liked the mower and experience so much that when we were looking for one for us, we went back to United Ag and Turf for ours. Brian in Sales was easy to work with and helped us find the right model and attachments for our needs. And when Spike delivered it a couple days later, he did an OUTSTANDING job of explaining the features and how to operate the mower, always making sure that we fully understood everything and fully answering any questions that we had. We recently had a terrible experience with a big-box store and decided to buy a new John Deere mower from United Ag & Turf. Our experience began with Brian. Brian was very helpful as we navigated the purchase of our first riding lawn mower, knowledgeable and friendly. We placed our order for a John Deere S130 with bagger. It arrived at our home approximately one week later. Spike delivered our new tractor. Spike walked my husband through everything he needed to know to operate and maintain the tractor. Spike was immeasurably patient and answered all of my husbands questions. Could not have asked for better service. Additionally, the tractor arrived with a full tank of gas, two keys, and a printed owners manual! We highly recommend United Ag & Turf.

I didnt even know this place existed and I live less than a couple of miles away. United sells a lot of john deere equipment, parts and also service them. I was looking to get the flat tire fixed on my lawn mower, I called Dean, who fixes small engines. He was nice enough to tell me that he would just take the tore off and take it to United and I should be able to do it myself. I dropped off my tire and it usuallyvtakedls 24 hours if you drop them off. If you are looking for agricultural or lawn mowing equipment, look no further. They have 41 locations throughout northeast USA.

I had one of their techs come to my home and perform a tune up that included leveling the deck. He proceeded to level the deck on a very uneven surface. When he was done leveling the deck I noticed the deck was extremely high. He had to put the blades to the lowest number for it to even reach the grass! The first time I used it, the deck fell off! They gave me a bunch of excuses as to why it happened and fixed their mouths to ask me for $580 to fix it. Before this, I did an in shop tuneup with this place and they came up with all kinds of stuff that was needed. So I trusted them, I should ve learned! They put a jumper under my seat so the machine would run when you get off the machine even if the blades were engaged! They wouldn t own up to it. Now the machine is not safe to use. To heck with JOHN and to heck with DEERE! I bought a new zero turn CUB CADET! Have your machines serviced elsewhere! Sir no one s going to contact me and try to make it right. It s been over a week since your response. You re just saying that to look good on this platform. Thanks!

10/2/23 I had my John Deere X485 serviced at my home and once again another 5 Star experience! Wes serviced my John Deere with his expert knowledge of John Deere equipment - he was most meticulous and courteous in his work detail. Adam was filling in at the Clifton Park store. He explained all of the features of the X370 and I purchased it with a bagger and snowblower. Skip delivered it and went over the tractor to make sure I understood how to use the power lift. The controls for starting and movement are quite a bit different from the ones on a Kubota. He patiently explained everything until we were both satisfied that I understood. It was a great experience!

Got a phone call from Eric The service Manager today as I was very unhappy with a situation. He took the time to listen to me which meant a lot to me. We were able to resolve the issue in a very fair manner. Sometimes it`s not about price but just listening to a customer. He now has a customer for life!

Trying to get parts at this place is a nightmare. They tried putting both the John Deere lawn and garden specialists in with the heavy construction specialists, and no one wants to help the other. What you are left with is a huge line of people waiting to get parts while 3 people sit and stare at their computer, talk on the phone, or tell you that its not their department. This place needs to focus on the customer regardless of what they are getting parts for.

Great experience in Clifton park . In and out purchase of 2025R- Erik was upfront, quick and was not at all a sleepy salesman like at a car dealership. He made moves to get me the equipment I wanted now instead of waiting for factory delivery. Delivered by Spike who has a sweet name to begin with- real nice guy. Came after hours to ensure it was delivered on the day I was told it was going to be. And took the time to show me everything, answered all my questions and even gave lots of tips for when I decide to make attachment arrangements. Great buying experience and hope service is just the same.

Recently took delivery of my first ever ride on mower, a John Deere S130. I had been trying to find one for a while and finally called and spoke to Erik Spooner and he was incredibly helpful. He listened to what I wanted, made some suggestions and got me all setup over the phone. When my mower was in and setup, Spike delivered it to my driveway. Just bought a Z335E ZTrak zero turn mower. Folks at United Ag & Turf were awesome (Erik on the purchase, Spike with on-time delivery and ensuring we know all the important things to know about the operation and maintenance of the mower). Mower is almost too fun, and family yard-workers are now fighting over who gets to mow.

. I brought my Honda lawnmower in since it no longer backed up easily. When I got it back it backed up a little easier although they said they had tested it and it backed up well The service was super expensive!!! My neighbor had the same problem and took his elsewhere for service. They replaced a part and his now backs up VERY easily. United Ag & Turf had me bring the mower back and they replaced the parts. It now backs up better then when it was new and I am VERY happy with the 2nd service I received.

Called me less than a week later when he received a few. I went over and he reviewed the features, as well as the 2 year warranty, and I was sold. He completed the no interest paperwork for me and process couldnt have been easier. Called me the following day and had prepared tractor (with bagger installed) ready for delivery the next day. Looking for a mulching plug for my 19-yr-old JD X300, I called parts and talked with Mike Berthiaume in parts. Initially, he couldn t find anything. Tis the season for snow and I wanted to make sure my Ariens snowblower was in tip-top shape. I started it up. It ran for a few seconds and died. I called United where I purchased all my lawn and snow equipment. I spoke to Greg in service and he scheduled a pickup for the machine. He also that it would not be looked at for five to ten days. The driver showed up at the scheduled time and it was Spike who picked up my lawn mower recently. He is very concerned, knowledgeable, and personal. Service looked at it right away as Rich called me about the diagnosis. In simple words, it was shot. My wife and I went right to United that day and purchased a new one that was wider and more powerful. Brian was very helpful in selecting the best one that would fit our needs. He also completed our warranty. Thank you Brian for your expert service. Spike delivered the new Ariens promptly and showed my wife and me how to operate it as it had new bells and whistles from my former 20-year machine. Thank you once again Spike. Spike was great!! Came to pick up my lawn mover and helped me take off my bagger system because I had broken a bone in my knee and couldnt do it by myself. When he returned the mover, he also put back the bagger system in a flash and helped me put back my mover!! He was so friendly and helpful, I will always be grateful to him! Thanks so much Spike!! Pleasure doing business with United Ag and turf. Ive bought parts through the years, but just had service done. They were extremely prompt when picking up my mower. They were courteous. They kept me informed about repairs that I did not know were needed. And the cost of their services were very reasonable. Im not looking forward to repairs in the future, but when the time comes, I know where I am going.

Over last 4 years I have bought a John Deere Rider mower plus two snowthrowers from United Ag and Turf in Clifton Park. In all cases the service has been excellent. Spike comes to pick up whatever I need serviced. I only had to wait 3 days for the snowthrower to be returned to my house this week. Thats 1 day prior to a 12-18 inch snow storm. In all cases, Spike has represented United Ag & Turf with professionalism, courtesy and informative responses to all my questions. I thought the prices were bad when Hudson Valley tractor owned it well these new guys are ridiculous I tried to get a belt for my zero turn mower They wanted $179 for it I bought one on eBay for $29 they wanted $85 for blades got them on eBay for $30 these guys are a bunch of thieves I will never do business with them again

I spoke with someone on the phone a day previous, I think Eric was his name. He talked to me about the x350 mower and a snow blower attachment and bagger. I did some research and was pretty sold on this set up. Today my wife and I came by to see the mower in person. We walked around for about 20 minutes looking at the actual tractor and others around it. We tried to get the attention of a few people. Unfortunately they were all busy. It would have been nice to even get a someone will be with you soon. Inventory looked real nice, prices seemed to correspond with John Deere online, however, the staff might have been overwhelmed or initiative.

Communication from the Service Department is terrible. If you dont catch them at the desk when you call, you may need to leave multiple message, over many weeks, before you get in touch with them. They wont call you back. They will always say that service on your equipment will be finished the next week, but 2 weeks later, when you finally reach them again, they will tell you the same thing. My experience is with service on an older tractor, so if you have a brand new machine, they may treat you differently. They have had my tractor for 3 months, for the second time in one summer, and Ive only been able to talk to them 3 times during that time. TERRIBLE!

Parts dept needs a little help

Today Dec1 I had my E350 serviced at home . I have to admit , I was very skeptical about doing this at home . I was told between 9 and 1 a service representative would arrive . At 9 am a truck pulled up , the service man identified himself as Westley . He said it would take 2 hrs and explained everything he was going to do . I myself am not distant to mechanical projects. As Westley worked I found him to be very thorough and disassembled and reassembled my John Deere . I was very impressed by the service . I do think they should provide him with a portable tent as rain was just a moment away . He performed this service out side , I offered my garage he declined . Would I do this again YES , and would want WESTLEY to do the service. I was pleasantly surprised well done . Don t crawl or walk but run to united ag and turf home service. Well done Westley

Bought a chain saw blade ,brought back next day .wrong part , charged me 30 % restocking fee. I could see on a special order . Keep that in mind!

I purchased my lawn tractor here several years ago and I always come back for whatever maintenance parts I need because they are always so helpful and courteous. Even with a deal you do still pay a little more than other companies, but you get a superior product to show for it.

Our snowblower broke we had to order a part. The guy that helped us was extremely helpful and even googled where the part is located so we could get the snowblower working before next storm.

I apologize as I should have wrote this review about two months ago, but now I have more to write about in a very good and positive way. My wife and I are owner operators of a very small rototilling company, and for my business and home I run John Deere equipment. About two months ago I came to HRT in Clifton Park to get a part that broke on my rototiller thats mounted on an older garden tractor. At the time I did not know that the person behind the parts counter helping me was the manager Sam. Needless to say my part was hard to find because I didnt have the model number of the tiller, but Sam found it! The part had to be ordered but in the meantime Sam was able to help me out with another part they had on hand that was comparable. Let me tell you, he saved my business that day, because the next day I was able to get the job done with the part he gave me, and its still working to this day with that part! The Schaghticoke HRT also saved me when I was on a job out in Eagle Bridge and broke a chain while on a job. They made me a new chain for the tiller and the next day I was back in business! Lastly my father was looking for either a garden tractor or sub compact tractor to help him out with his yard work and snow blowing in the winter. We looked at the tractors while at the Saratoga County fair and met Sam again! Sam helped my Dad and was very informative about both kinds of equipment and gave my Dad brochures to look at over the weekend. This past Tuesday we met with Sam as he helped and explained to my Dad while he did a demo ride on the two tractors he was deciding on. My Dad made a decision that day and will now have a nice 1025R added to the family. I cant say enough good things about Sam and HRT as they have truly been such a great help and a great place to do business with. This is the way business and managers and employees of a company should be, old school and wanting to help customers. But, Sam and HRT have gone above and beyond and for that I am grateful. I would give them 10 stars if I could! Thanks again!

The Hudson River Tractor Company (HRTC) is a horrible place to do business. They dont support the products they sell and provide the worst customer service. I purchased a brand new, top of the line, Honda Self-Propelled Lawn Mower (Model number:HRX217K4HYA). After a few months it refused to start. I brought it back and HRTC and they kept it for a month. They never provided any status or timeline. I needed to borrow mowers from my neighbors and hire people to mow my lawn while they tried to get my mower working, thats on top of the money already spent on the mower. I got it back, it worked for the remainder of the summer and it died again early this fall. They still have the mower... The mower is still under warranty, however they wont take it back. I asked them for a refund and they told me it was between me and Honda. I called Honda and they said it was between me and HRTC. If you need a mower or any lawn tools, I urge you to go to Lowes, Home Depot or Emerich Sales & Service before using this group of bozos. Response to HRTs reply: I understand your reply as necessary, but this matter has been brought to your attention on several occasions.
