K & E Service Center in Clifton

This Shop is the best Automotive shop in all of NJ in my opinion. K&E specializes in European cars . I've been to dozens of shops in town and out of town and there's no place like K & E . There a small shop but very knowledgeable for all of your automotive car and maintenance needs . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Shop if you're looking for fair pricing and honesty.

If I can rate this place 0 stars I would. I brought in my 2022 Audi S6 with 46,700 miles in for a check engine light that was related to dirty Mass Air Flow sensor. I left the car there and one hour later the owner calls me and tells me that I also have to change spark plugs, the ignition coils, change the fuel pump, and also have to rotate the tires. I have experience with cars and do not need a mechanic to diagnose my issue. All my car needed was a mass air flow cleaning or a swap for a new one. After he calls me to tell me that, that is what I need done. He told me it is ready for pick up without my approval he went and supposedly changed out the ignition coils, fuel pump, spark plugs, and put in a new mass air flow sensor, and that he rotated my tires. I immediately told him that my car only need to clean or swap out the mass air flow sensor. He then proceeded to give me the total for the repairs which was $2,350. I told him that I did not approve for any of these repairs and all he said was “you can come pick up your car it’s $2,350. I came over to his shop immediately after he HUNG UP ON ME. When I got there he immediately asked me how was I paying cash or card. I told him that I wasn’t paying for anything at all that he is out of his mind. My car is like brand new it didn’t need anything besides the air mass sensor. He refused to give me my key so I called the clifton Police Dept, and in a few mins the police was there, they had told me that this isn’t the first time someone has called the police on this shop for doing the same thing to other customers. When the police arrived his attitude quickly changed, with the police escorting him to his shop they went and got my keys, and I was givin my keys back and I was able to drive out of there without paying for anything. I wish I could and this review here, but when I got back to my house I looked at my car up close. The wheels were never rotated I can tell because one of my rims has a scuff mark and that tire was in the same position it was in when I brought the car to him for repair. I the. Went to go look at the ignition coils after removing my engine cover all the ignition coils on my motor where the original from factory you can tell he didn’t even take the engine cover off because it was still dirty u see there and so were the ignition coils. I couldn’t inspect the fuel pump because that a part that goes inside the gas tank, but I bet anything he didn’t touch it either because it did not need any repairs. All he did was hook up his computer and clear the check engine code. After I drove to work the next day the check engine light came back on, I then took it to Community Tire Center on lake view Ave in Clifton and the owner Raphael confirmed he didn’t do anything to my car at all but hook up his computer to turn off the check engine light!!! If I didn’t call the cops I would’ve probably been forced to pay this repair shop $2,350 for no service at all!!! EVERYONE PLEASE BE AWARE THIS SHOP IS A FRAUD !!! THE OWNER IS A THIEF!!! IF YOU DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS PLEASE AVOID THIS PLAVE AT ALL COST GO TO ANY OTHER MECHANIC SHOP IN THE ARE BUT STAY CLEAR FROM THESE RIP OFFS !!! Thank God for the Clifton Police Department! And thank god I have some knowledge on cars. I HOPE TO WARN MY COMMUNITY ! STAY AWAY IF YOU LET HIM HE WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND PERFORM NO SERVICE. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM !!!!!!!!

Ervis was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable. He was honest and explained what needed to be fixed. If you have a BMW this is the place to go! I would highly recommend this auto shop in Clifton.

Greatest auto shop around! Spend years trying to find a good mechanic untill I stop by by chance. Have been going there for close to 6 years now. Beyond fair prices, honest opinion.

I review places only if they are awesome or horrible, and this place is awesome. I've kept bringing car after car with different array of problems and I always get excellent service and honesty. The guy is to the point, will not try to upsell you things or repairs you don't need. Never had a problem on anything he's done. Prices are very reasonable. I've gone to 10+ shops over the last 10 years and I'm sticking with him.
