Got referred by my boy pat, spoke with Allen in the shop, he diagnosed what was probably the issue through the phone given the symptoms i described and it was spot on, scary. Alternator crapped out due to oil housing leak and he worked on it and runs great now. Hes very transparent in what to expect in pricing and checked in with me throughout the whole process which was great given my past experiences with other mechanics who dont. Fair pricing and they know there stuff when it comes to bmw issues definitely would recommend 5/5
Honest, hardworking, trustworthy, meticulous owners. I came upon them through a recommendation from my friend after I had just taken my vehicle to a manufacturer to look over. Wayne (F), was trying to charge me 6500-7200 for a whole transmission replacement. VX lifted the car, took videos of what was causing the noise and charged me 30 bucks. It was a sticker, causing the noise. They saved me so much from a manufacturer and I cannot thank them enough. I will always recommend people here moving forward and will not be taking my 2017 Ford Mustang elsewhere.
Alan and the rest of the team here are honest, hardworking mechanics. Their prices are very fair and will never try to upsell you on anything you don’t need. Always a pleasure to get any work done here.
VX has been my mechanic for many many years. They’re dependable, honest and do a great job. Like other reviews, I’m happy to drive a half hour to them because it’s worth the time and effort to know my cars are being worked on by quality people. I’m always happy with the work they do, from small to large jobs.
They have been my go-to mechanic since 2017. My mechanic Allen, he is amazing and a dedicated worker. He treats the cars and clients with utmost respect and honesty. If you want to feel safe and comfortable to ask questions and have honest feedback. This auto shop is the one. Allen has been working on all the cars I ever had. The owner as well he is kind and straightforward. 100/10 would recommend.
I had my car serviced by VX Auto repair for the first time in February 2024. Finally an auto shop that is transparent and reasonable with their prices! VX Auto Repair does quality work AND has great customer service (super rare in this industry). The half hour drive is worth it because I know they're going to do a good job and not waste my time. VX Auto Repair really cares for their customers.

These guys are the best. I honestly dont trust anyone with my Audi except for Alan. When you come here ask for Alan. This man knows so much about cars and has very useful advice when it comes to maintenance. They do their work with honesty and if something pops up, then they will call you and let you know before they do any repairs. Their prices are fair and they do get booked sometimes but that goes to show how good and knowledgeable they are. I am so glad that I found an honest mechanic that doesnt try to scam me considering my age and the car that I drive.

#HonestMechanics Use VX Auto Repair! Great service and amazing mechanics! So, I was four hundred miles from home with my ninety year old mom and two dogs when my oil level light went on. I managed to get more oil from a nearby gas station but did not want to take my truck on the road until I had it checked out. I called AAA and was told my only option was a tow to a garage down the street. I called said garage and they informed me that they would not be able to get to us for at least a day or two! Thanks AAA!! Only a few doors away from the approved AAA garage was VX Auto Repair. Mechanics Allan and Chris checked my truck and had me on the road within ten minutes. The two mechanics gave me great insight into why my truck was performing poorly and what I needed to do to avoid problems in the future. I was able to make it safely home without incident! Thank you Allan and Chris for your knowledge and kindness! If I lived closer VX Auto Repair would definitely be my new go to!

Theyre overpriced but ok. I suggest you drop your car off so they can do a full assessment first. You may be wasting a lot of money if you dont.

Amazing service by Victor and Allen. Was recommended by a good friend who takes his personal cars there. I had an electric problem - yes the ones which costs a load of money without confidence of being fixed. The team there explained the process and made me understand their course of action. Victor and Boogie are the best!! I cant say enough good things about how they helped me out an hour before theyre set to close for the day when a frantic me showed up just as my car died in their neighboring businesss lot while I was still almost an hour from home. Not only did they troubleshoot the problems, they pushed my car so as not to block the other businesss space. They stayed for an extra 2+hours past their close to help me and kept checking to make sure I was comfortable and warm in their waiting room, as well as letting me borrow a phone charger so I could check in at home. They are so humble, so caring, so helpful, so polite. Those qualities are hard to find in any businesses nowadays, let alone with mechanics who can make you feel as if youre at their mercy. So do yourself a favor and JUST GO straight TO VX Auto Repair the next time you need car service!! Thank you again guys!!

Nothing better then the best
I have been coming here for over 6 years. My car is over 10 years old and is well maintained by them. I have recommended VX Auto Repair to all my family and friends. They are honest, experienced and very fair with their pricing. It is very hard to find these qualities in an auto repair shop nowadays. Anywhere you go, shops are always up-selling things to make a buck. You wont feel pressured here and they run everything by you first.

I needed an emergency service with mail in my tire and called VX 5 minutes before they were closing; still they helped me quickly and charged me a reasonable price. Will definitely go again!

My starter went on my camry and I my vehicle was disabled on the road close by Victor shop owner he sent one of his techs to change starter and it was a cold day had me back on the road in hour and half these guys are great

Great place to have mods installed and reasonable price. Worked on my G35 and are very familar with the VQ platform. Also fixed my CEL on my g20 way back when 2 other mechanics couldnt figure it out. They also work on many other brands i saw when i was in the shop. Quality work and knowledge of repairs. Thanks to Boogie and Emmanel for their work and Victor for setting me up and everyone else ther. I dont write a lot of reviews, but these guys are great and figured Id let everyone know. Until my next modification, thanks guys.
I am new to the area and found VX Auto when my jeep had heating issues. I called numerous shops and it would take days to even get my car in the shops I called. Needless to say driving a car with no heat in the Winter was a no go. I called VX Auto and told them I needed the heating fixed asap. They had my heat up and running the same day. I took my other car there just yesterday to have the bumper repaired after a minor accident and she looks like new. VX Auto does great work and is reasonably priced and is my new go to for my auto repairs.
Allen was great!! Patiently explained over the phone how to diagnose the issue and told me the part to order. Brought my car in late in the day and got it back first thing in the morning. They just got themselves another lifelong customer.

I took my jeep liberty sport with my engine light on, I left my jeep for 2 days in the shop i thought it was going to be a serious problem. they took the time to explain the condition of the jeep, the guy to his time to figure out what was the cause of it he truly fix it. Went in earlier this year & setting up an oil change appt again soon. The guys are great here! Boogy was the main one that helped me out and he was super cool, explained everything clearly for the services I needed to get done and I wasnt cautious about any of it. Im usually the first one to call for second opinions because I havent found a shop up north I had trusted yet but VX is def my go to from now on! Would recommend to anyone.

Ive gone to VX auto repair for years, and I dont even live in the area! I live in the DC region, and when I have issues and concerns, I drive up to Jersey (where my parents live) to make sure Victor sees my car. I really trust him because he takes the time to explain things and understand where youre coming from as far as budgets and needs go. And he also does great work, clearly taking the time to make sure things are done properly. All that, and super transparent and reasonable prices. Great place, totally recommended.
