I guess that regardless of age, you still can live and learn . I pur hased a new gas dryer along with the proper flex hose for hookup. Attempting to hook up the gas dryer, I still had a slight smell of gas. After 2 attempts still with a slight gas odor, I called Best Plumbing. Speaking with the man who cid not identify himself, I explained my issue and adked for a ballpark estimate to reconnect the flex line. He proceeded to explain that there could be several scenarios for the technician, but if it was just a simple reconnect the cost would be minimal. Since Best Plumbing s ad claims $0 Service call , I felt pretty confident that the cost would indeed be minimal. As we corresponded through texts (identifying himself as Best ) he stated that we have a te hnicisn heading to Troy, should be between 3:30 - 6:00 PM. At approx. 5:15 OM ano,der model gray suv pulked up to the house across from us.The manpulked out a tool box and I asked if he was a plumber from Best. He acknowledged that he was, spent 5-10 minutes reconnecting the flex hose with my pipe dope and testing for any gas leaks (with a spray bottle of dish soap/water. Asking him for the charges he stzted that he must call his boss . Returning to my home, he handed me his cell phone and his boss asked are you satisfied . I responded that the leak was fixed so how much is my cost? He asked Are you paying by cash or check because we are not set up for credit card charges? (Huh!). If you pay by check it will be $290 but if you pay by cash $240. I mentioned that the man worked 5-10 minutes for a simole reconnect. His response was We charge $125 for the call and a minimum hour rate regardless of how long it took. What happened to $0. Service call? This is a classiccase of bait and switch by this u scrupulous firm. So prospective buyers, DON T BE DUPED BY BEST PLUMBING! Buyer Beware!

I closed on my home and called 2 or 3 days ahead to ask for an inspection of plumbing heating and cooling. The technician KJ was on time and spent several days repairing pipes faucets central air etc.. KJ kept me updated and prepared for everything all through . Everything was picked up and work was neat..as a woman I had not too much background in how things worked and KJ tried to educate me along the way. I cant thank kj enough for staying late so I could have heat water and a/c! He really helped ease the pain of buying an older home ..thanks kj and best plumbing..the name is accurate and I highly recommend this company.

Just completed our split HVAC system install (furnace last fall and today the AC). The best company (no pun intended) you never heard of. Communication is prompt and accurate. Ken the tech has taken care of everything right from the initial consult to job completion. He is very knowledgeable, and I really appreciate his constant sharing of his knowledge as he works. He answers questions and explains things so thoroughly its like attending HVAC school. Hes always thinking outside the box to find ways to do a job that fits the customers needs or preferences rather than just doing a cookbook installation. We havent needed any service yet but Im confident if and when we do it will be prompt and competent. I highly recommend Ken at Best HVAC to anyone needing plumbing, heating or cooling work.

Had a wiring issue with my AC unit this morning. I called the emergency number and spoke to Keith; who helped me over the phone correct my issue.I would definitely recommend them for any hvac problems.

After having a long week with other appliances breaking down on me. On Wednesday morning, I woke up not having hot water. After watching YouTube videos on how to hot to light a hot water tank, with no success. At this point, its late at night. Im googling plumbers, I come across this number. I call and a man named Kenny answered, he only asked for general information, and I sent it immediately. Within the hour, he got back to me. He said he could come out and look at it, I said sir if you are going to come and charge me for what I have already tried, please dont come, I can not afford it right now. He said he would come to take a look, and he did. He changed out a wire, and that was unsuccessful as well. As he was leaving, I asked how much? he said Im not going to charge you. I was so taken back, then he said if you buy the hot water tank, I will install it. At this point, Im crying because Ive called and asked so many people and tried so many things myself. I was so discouraged prior to him coming. The next day, he showed up at his word with a plumber, Manny. They did the job in less than one hour. They were very clean, respectful and professional. My husband and I just bought a new house. We have lived in it for less then 3 weeks and in that time it seems like every new homeowners nightmare keeps happening. When our furnace wasnt working properly we were at our wits end. We did our research and found this company, they sent KJ and he was absolutely AMAZING! He was honest, professional, and gave us great information. Our furnace was put together completely wrong and he diagnosed and fixed everything. Reached out to Ace/Best to come look at a 70s era boiler in my home. They were extremely responsive and prompt, and thorough in their work. Provided me with an estimate for a replacement cost and a quote for the repairs needed to keep the current boiler, and when I chose the repairs, they had the parts ordered and in within a couple of days. Repair was completed well and even though some extra work was needed (radiators all had to be flushed afterward), they stayed at their original quote. Great to work with, Ill definitely be relying on them in future for repairs and maintenance.

Kenny was an ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER. 10 days ago, my boiler went, I had a different company come to my house to check it out and what a nightmare, they said they could not find the part and would order it to be here in three days. Three days later I was told they would come the following day, they came and broke the part while trying to install it. Then I was riddled with empty promises and no call no shows until I couldnt take the cold any longer. After 10 very cold days without heat or hot water I reached out to Ace Heating, Kenny came out and had my heat and hot water running ON THE SAME DAY. I cannot recommend Ace enough. Great service, very professional, highly recommend them.

My house was freezing, my heater stopped working This was the only company in Albany, that actually pick up the phone and was out to me within the hour it took him about 30 minutes to diagnose the problem and fix it. On Sunday 2-5-23 our Home Boiler Heating System had a burst pipe that was flooding the first floor of our home. I called KJ with Ace and he instructed us on how to shutoff the boiler and main water supply. He arrived within an hour of our call and was able to repair the pipe, repair our boiler system, and the bill was cheaper than any other company we have used in the past. I cannot put into words how grateful we are for finding Ace. We will be using Ace exclusively going forward.
