Just bought a 3rd car from Goldstein - this time a Solterra to replace my Tesla Model Y. This time a lease. Easy, straightforward, quick. Recommended. Great dealership. Yoku Lovely may be the best salesperson or tied for it weve ver dealt with. Respectful, competent, great follow through. The product (new Crosstrek and then a new Forrester) is excellent but the sales process made them even better. I know, hard to believe - but this isnt a back handed compliment Goldstein and Yoku at Goldstein treated us like real people.

The dealership, was cooperative and efficient with resolving my recent concern. We left off with a good customer service experience. My only real issue is that when making an appointment for oil change, I was there for two hours. I wonder if the Express service is taken care of before appointments?

My car needed an oil change. I arrived a little early and entered the Express Lane. I was pleasantly surprised when my freshly washed car was ready a half hour later! They checked all systems, changed the oil and topped off all fluids. Nice! Thank you Goldstein s Subaru.

I took my wife s car in for an oil change. I waited under an hour and the advisor Davon was polite and communicative. When the time came to pay, the receptionist with the nose piercings was gossiping with another coworker behind her desk. Then seemingly due to me interrupting, proceeds to help me with a passive aggressive demeanor. I m not sure what dramas are going on behind the scenes there but she left a bad taste in my mouth.

I got right in and all was taken care of prompt and the wait time was enjoyable in the waiting area. Staff are friendly and always willing to answer any questions you may have.

Just a visit for routine service, but Goldstein made it very quick and easy.

First time here for service with an appt. Theyre busy so be patient. Satisfied with my service advisor, Doug. Waiting area is busy but comfortable with free wifi and coffee. I didnt see any bottled water or snacks though. That would be nice because most of us are waiting 1 to 2 hours. I had to ask for a bottle of water and a nice man went to get me one. The cashier lady is busy fielding calls and checking out customers. They should have someone else field calls or hire another to help her. 2nd visit: waited in appt line almost 10 min. Finally door opens so line can move. All service advisors preoccupied and very busy. Paul was great though and typed out everything I needed. Wasnt pleased with the 2 hour wait with an appt but not his fault. The mechanics still overinflated my tires when it said in writing not to add air. My car was parked in the used lot at an awkward angle and an employee almost boxed me in. Bottled water and snacks would be nice if everyone is waiting 1 to 3 hours. They should have 1 person outside always greeting customers and taking car info. Spend the money for these extra things to keep customers coming back please. 11/29/24 It was moderately busy but was happy that my car was done in 1 hour. Service advisors too busy so your car is done but you wait an extra 15 min for them to get to your paperwork. Not their fault. They need to have 2 people doing the intake info so the service advisors stay at their computers. Also they ignore you, never smile or look up. They are just too busy and annoyed really. I feel like with certain extra help it could make their jobs easier. 3/01/25. Arrived at 755am for an 8am appt but could not get to the appt line because 8 cars were in the express line and a big sign was blocking the entry. We eventually drove around it. Doug was efficient, although he spoke loudly my address and phone number out loud (shhhh). If they could fix the safety of the entry to make it easier to get to the appt line that would be great.

Dustin was the person who signed me in . I checked my watch when I sat down in the comfortable area it was 808am . I was leaving the lot at 835am!! Very pleased & efficient!!

This was, hands down, the best car-buying experience Ive ever had. My Sales Rep Justin Pakatar was excellent, as was everyone else I met during the process! UPDATE-- While the car- buying experience was excellent, their after-market customer service is horrendous. I asked them to add a bike rack. I chose the one I want (it had to accommodate a bike with training wheels) and made arrangements to have it installed at my 30 day checkup. What they installed was a bike rack suitable for 2 adult bikes at a price $400 more the price of the one I ordered. The racks have been exchanged and after 4 weeks, Im still waiting for my refund. Ive called 5 times, visited the dealership once and continue to be told theyre working on it. This is worse customer service than making an exchange at Dollar General.

Our salesman Justin Pakatar was wonderful. He was accommodating and knowledgeable. He was open to show us multiple cars and that allowed us to pick the perfect one for us. Charles in the finance department made it quick and easy to get qualified. They both explained every detail of the process. This is our 5th Subaru from Goldstein. We would never go anywhere else.

Awesome, from start to finish! Pulling into Express Service, I was greeted with a smile & complete attention from my Service Advisor, Julian:) I had one specific car concern. Julian thoroughly checked it out and then brought it to the attention of Brandon (Service Mgr), who always addresses everything promptly and satisfactorily:) My service wait was very easy. I sat by the fireplace, enjoying a complimentary beverage and snack, and before I knew it, my oil change and service inspection were done! When Julian came out with the update, he also surprised me, sharing that he personally rinsed the salt from my car. He must have overheard my concern about damaging road salt that I shared with my friend, right after exiting my car. Kudos, Julian! On the way to checkout, my canine pal, Georgie Girl, even received an adorable toy from Mr Butler. Shes absolutely delighted with her own new car and hugged it all the way home:)

I leased a 2019 Subaru Impreza and purchased it at the end of the lease on May 17th. My primary contact over the past 3 years has been Aaron Butler. Aaron has been great to work with. I picked up a nail apparently in my new tire and was afraid to drive at home the closest dealer was Goldstein I drove the car there they took the car right in but there were many other people in the lobby ahead of me so I had to wait approximately two and a half hours for them to put a plug in my tire and I was on my way but the service was fine and the staff was pleasant and efficient Im glad they were only 8 miles away from where I was and I was very glad that they were not very far away from where I was thank you

I had an emergency situation where I needed a new battery and couldnt turn the car off because it wouldnt start again. Goldstein Subaru took my car immediately and put in a new battery, and I found the staff there to be very polite and helpful in every way.

I went to express the line for an oil change and rotating tires. The employee I dealt with was excellent. I had a few questions unrelated to why I bought the car in, for future reference, and he explained everything to me thoroughly. He was very professional and very nice. He did not try to sell me anything extra. I ve been going here for about 4 years, because of the good honest experiences I ve had. I switched from a toyota dealership that I had had a lot of bad experiences with, concerning dishonesty. So I appreciate the way this dealership does business. And I especially appreciate the employees, who are all very nice and professional. Thank you.

Took Forrester in to address problem with Apple Car Play. They worked for over 2 hours, trying a wide range of potential solutions. Apparently software incompatibility of Subaru Apple CarPlay and new iphone 15/16. Frustrating, but was an issue of Subaru not the dealership. Vito the technology person and the agent, Samantha, work hard to try to solve this. Software is complex.

Service employees are helpful and kind, but management has clearly put them in a position of being severely understaffed and/or overbooked. I had a confirmed appointment for a simple oil change and tire pressure check. It took over two and a half hours. And when I left, my tires still needed air and I had to turn around and go back. It feels absurd to have wait times that long considering the premium cost of the service. It makes me reluctant to continue having my car serviced there, though apparently, I must if I am to honor my warranty. And that s frustrating.

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. My appointment was at 1030. When I arrived the car line was long but moved quickly. Staff was good at getting through initial process quickly. Was told it would take 2hrs to change the oil and rotate tires. Thought this was a crazy long wait time for what needed to be done. Was never updated during the wait time and it took 2hrs and 40 minutes till finished. Probably will just go back to changing my own oil. Was a new car is the only reason I took it in for the first change and give them a chance.

Was told different things when booking the appointment and trying to check in which caused me to cancel after Id gotten there which was a hassle. They refuse to investigate issues without an error code displayed. On top of that they want you to do check-in a certain way but didnt tell me over the phone so had to go back to the parking lot to get my car which I felt was poor customer service. At that point didnt have confidence that my car was going to be taken care, or that they were interested in helping me. Also didnt tell me over the phone that a loaner car was an option. Staff seem to just assume you know their system and didnt seem interested in helping. Ok place to get an oil change or something simple. Tried emailing the service manager listed on the web site but didnt get a response.

The front desk staff were very polite, but are clearly being forced to overbook appointments. Expectations for how long a diagnostic visit should take was not conveyed. After five hours, the car still hadnt been looked at, which was frustrating because I had to take time off work to come in for an appointment. Oneonta Subaru said diagnostics shouldnt take longer than an hour or two. Looking forward to getting some help from them.

Purchased my Subaru at another dealership and then moved. So far I have not been impressed with Goldstein. The service/sales person wasn t exactly friendly and I was charged over $600 in labor fees for just break pads and an oil change. I won t be bringing my vehicle back to this location.

Dealership attends to every detail. However we own a 2011 Outback, 90k miles and the subframe is rotted through. Requires $>5000.00 repairs. What happened to a Subaru lasting 200k+ miles? Disappointed with the product.

My battery died at a traffic light and I had my Subaru Forrester towed to Goldstein Subaru. When they received the car Doug, from service, contacted me right away. They replaced the battery and I had my car back the next day. Thank you Doug and your service crew for quick service.

I had purchased the gold package when I bought the car new in 2022 . It gave me 2 complete details inside and outside. So I paid for them when I made the vehicle purchase. So when I arrived and checked in I was told that I would have to be charged 160 dollars because there was some dog hair in the vehicle. I was taken back. No one ever said pet hair was apparently would cost me extra. I declined to pay the extra fee and was told that they will try to remove the pet hair. Seriously???? You would have to vacuum the inside of the vehicle anyways if you are doing an interior detail. I felt as though i was being charged for something I had already paid for. It has certainly left a very negative mark on this dealership. I honestly do not think I will purchase another vehicle from Goldstein. That s just bad business. I have always purchased my Subaru vehicles here. I currently have 3. All purchased from this dealership. I think I have learned my lesson. I will purchase my next Subaru at another dealer. I honestly feel like they really do not care whether I am a happy customer or not. I will say one good thing. Samantha Green the service advisor is a really nice person. She kept me informed about my vehicle and she was really the nicest part of that appointment.

Visited for an oil change. Took shorter than time quoted. Other than a tire rotation, which they say they recommend at 5000 miles, they did not try to sell me any other service, which I appreciated. The one thng I wish theyd done was to reset the tires prompt after I completed the tire rotation. I will stop by when next near the dealership but this is not convenient for me.

Most enjoyable experience I ve had purchasing a new vehicle while also trading in my old. I was dreading having to go through the car dealership process again, but the sales team and everyone here were very easy to work with, I didn t feel like I had to fight for a good deal, and overall I would definitely purchase a vehicle from them again.

I was able to make a convenient appointment and the people were very friendly and did the work I asked and I didn t have to wait too long, so everything was excellent.

I brought a knuckle in to get a wheel bearing out. I was informed that I would need to buy a whole new knuckle. Brought it to another shop and they informed me that Subaru damaged my knuckle and my backing plate and then proceeded to get the wheel bearing out within 10 min. Attached is pictures of the damage.

Loved my car buying experience here. Rob held my hand through the whole process and was able to answer all my questions. There was a crack in the rear bumper that he caught before I took delivery. He had it fixed by the time I picked it up. 10/10 would do it again.

I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I knew what I was paying for. At the end, when the advisor came and got me, the mechanics had decided all on their own to do extra work like checking the tires for leaks and things of that nature and my bill was 50 dollars more than expected. Maybe next time you can check with the customer first???? My advisor Sean was very kind but I do not thing I should have had to pay for something like that. It was shady.

I have to say, it was a complete waste of gas and time. I drove 2 hours for them to top off my windsheild fluid. I was told originally that it would take approximately an hour to an hour- half. I appreciate the 30 day check up offer, but really was not necessary. I can put windshield fluid in my own car. I dont need to waste time driving to Albany.

if you re coming in for normal service, all you have to do is go to the express line and they will take care of you right away. friendly employees salesman, service manager! Highly recommend!

I had service scheduled recently to mount and install winter tires plus an oil change. Check in - even with an appt, you wait 15 min to check in. Everyone was busy so we all waited patiently but there has to be a better way. Of course you get the call that they found something - 2 things. In my case it was $3.6k. Yikes!!! One was rear wheel bearings. I was actually happy to hear this bc I didn t mention it but thought there may be something going on in the rear. Next was the control arms and bushings, unexpected. Of course I look for coupons online and I ask the rep but I already know they only offer pet assessories and car loaner (which is already free, why a coupon??) for months on end. C mon Subaru. Thankfully they had the parts for my 2015 car (that I bought from Goldstein in 2017) and I drove away the next day with a car that felt like it was driving better and I felt safer! Despite the huge unexpected cost, thank you Subaru.

Excellent express service experience this past week! Less then an hour for an oil change, tire rotation, NYS inspection, and a free car wash! Wow! Everything done right, no greasy hand or foot prints in my car, fresh reminder sticker in the window! I could not be happier with the visit! This is the second time in a row they have really impressed me with the quality and speed of their service! 5-STARS!! Highly recommended!!!

I was looking to buy my first-ever brand new car, and decided to go with a Subaru Outback. Goldstein didnt have the exact trim I was looking for, but I went in anyways and test-drove a comparable trim and worked with them to source the exact trim (and color!) I was looking for. They were able to order the exact trim and color I was looking for and have it delivered, ready for pickup, in only a few days. I worked with Kevin Benson in sales & Charles Rigo in finance. Both guys were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process, I didnt really need to be sold much since I knew exactly what car I was looking for, but Kevin was very knowledgeable about the vehicle, answered all of my questions & explained the process in great detail, and at no point did I ever feel pressured or upsold on anything I didnt need. Charles was great to work with on the finance part and was very straight-up when it came to recommending any additional options to get (or even not to get) when it came down to the money aspect. Overall seamless process, start to finish. I was kept in constant communication throughout the sale and setting up all of the paperwork and taking delivery of the car was a breeze. I wont need to buy a new car for another few years, but Ill absolutely be going back to Goldstein when that time comes.

Exceeded my expectations. Service was prompt including handling extra items. Also talked to sales while I was waiting and had an informative but no pressure conversation.

Though the service I needed was only a required inspection, they accommodated my need to have this done in a shorter time frame than they initially gave me. I want to thank all for getting the job done half an hour earlier than requested. They did find an issue that was concerning though did not affect passing the inspection. They sent a video of the issue which is a first for me and I clearly saw what the issue was, making it easier to determine what my next step would be!!
