We came in with a tire leaking air and a bent rim. The team was able to get the bend out of the rim enough to get a seal on the tire again. Hopefully this stops the leak. They were all kind and courteous. I also purchased these tires here and had the same experience. Highly recommend.

Theyre usually pretty good Im tires maybe brakes not bad prices . If you have to have anything done thats expensive do yourself a favor and call around to other shops and price check . They charge me $1,500 more than they should have for shocks

I went and got 4 new tires this past Saturday and everyone was super helpful with the process. The people up front were easy to talk to and very friendly. Just my luck, today my brand new tire got a screw on the side wall and wasn t fixable, so I have to replace the tire. I stopped by Mavis to get it done but unfortunately they didn t have one in stock. The team went out of their way to try and find me one from other nearby Mavis and check with vendors. I will be going back tomorrow to have my tire replaced. Overall I m really happy with the service they provided from start to finish at Mavis 1894 Central Ave, Colonie Plaza. Fast, friendly, got me in and out in with my trailer tire

Hours from home with low tires, stopped and bought 2 new tires, spent $800. Got back on highway only to find the same problem, low tire and upon closer inspection I found dent and scratches on rims and black glue like steins. Then went to another repair shop to get the problem fixed at yet additional expenses. Just a terrible experience.

I have been a customer of Mavis for almost 4 years and use them throughout the nation. I was told I would be in and out in an hour. Four hours later, I questioned the employee Josh. He got very defensive and kept interrupting me as I tried to explain to him my situation of waiting so long. Josh folded his arms, step backwards and wouldn t respond to me anymore. I became so frustrated that I left. One employee loses a business relationship of four years.

After getting denied at jiffy lubes to get a plug in my tire, they took me in straight away. They were super quick and efficient and they were very transparent to showing me what went wrong and even after with my worries of my tires they explained things to me and even checked the rest of the treads on my tires. The two men who helped me at the front desk were very sweet and knowledgeable and definitely made me feel more comfortable asking for help!

The manager at this location went above and beyond for me. I got a flat on my way to my son T-Ball game I walked in just as he was going to lunch. All the mechanics were currently occupied. It usually would ve been an hour. Wait time He took it upon himself to personally fix the tire and got me out right away to make it to the game I truly thank him for going above and beyond

My car was pulling to the right and I brought it to Mavis. They inspected for worn parts and realigned my vehicle. They have driving straighter then ever!.

I showed up just before closing on Saturday with a nail in my tire. They took care of it immediately and I was back on the road.

I stopped in May 1st because I had a leak in my tire and needed it to be plugged. The staff was friendly and got my car in quickly. I was in and out so fast I actually never got the names of the staff. They fixed my tire at no cost and sent me on my way. Wonderful experience at this location!

James and Henry were great- they were able to get me in and out for 2 new tires in an hour and change. I was amazed they could get me in so late in the day.

Jim was amazing. I called him in a pinch, I worked close by and my car was overheating because the oil, it was short notice but he squeezed me in. Everyone was busy so he personally did it himself. I am so grateful for Jim making sure that my car was ready for when I left work to pick up my kids and get home safe. Car is running great now, and I ll remember to check the sticker. Thanks Jim. Amazing service I called half hour to closing, got me in, and took care of a tire leak in few minutes. What great job.

I brought my car to Mavis because my window would not roll back up. They diagnosed the issue as a window regulator issue, and replaced it. It turned out that was not the problem, and were not sure what could be done. Their conclusion was that I needed to bring it to my Honda dealer to have it looked over. After bringing it to Honda, they easily concluded the motor needed to be replaced. This is frustrating because when I had asked Mavis mechanics if the motor had been checked, they said it came with the regulator unit.. this didnt check out. Regardless, Mavis didnt charge me anything. I wouldnt be frustrated at their misdiagnosis if they had not damaged my door panel. They left multiple pry marks and scuffs on the door because they used a screw driver instead of a plastic pry bar like theyre supposed to.

I went to this location with an unknown reason why my tire pressure light was on. The workers took my car in and examined it on the spot. They found no cause why the light was on and they reset the system that removed the light. They let me off for the rest of my day since there was no clear problem wrong with my vehicle. The workers were very polite. If I have any problems with my car, I d definitely return back to this location going forward.

I specifically worked with James at Mavis (Colonie) to understand exactly what was wrong with my car (front brake pads and rotors, and a RF wheel bearing). I received 100% transparency when discussing the issues with my car. Along every step of the way, I was shown what was wrong. I was brought out onto the floor and things were patiently and clearly explained to me, which I personally appreciate. The team over at Mavis (Colonie) are the best in the business and if I ever need car service, minor or major, this is the place to do it at.

My niece broke down driving to Massachusetts from Kentucky they couldn t have been any nicer! They fixed her brakes for her no charge the dealer ship where she purchased truck never bolted them on! We took our 2022 Subaru in to have four tires installed and balanced. Unbeknownst to us, the Mavis employee damaged the TPMS and taped it back. We took it back to sort it out and were told they couldn t do anything because their technology didn t cover vehicles newer than 2018. The dealer took care of it for us. We won t ever go back to Mavis.

My mom and stepdad are both deaf and I often struggle to find honest people to help them with everyday problems such as car maintenance. I m usually frustrated by the way in which businesses take advantage of them due to their challenges in communicating. James Polo at the Mavis Colonie location has given me hope for better times. He is fluent in sign language and having deaf parents also, understands the challenges first hand. He went the extra mile to help my family. We have been blown away by his kindness and honesty. He s fixed brake issues and other challenges on my stepdads car and fully explained everything leaving my parents feeling safe that they were in good hands. I cannot say more about his integrity and authenticity. I would recommend this shop and him to anyone.

I am so thankful to the people at this shop! I had gotten a nail/screw in my tire and noticed it when I was at pep boys(refer to my review on their page, colonie location) who refused to help me. I drove to a Mavis location but they were very busy, the man behind the counter actually called other locations that are close to see if they could fit me in. I live an hour away so it was really important I got it fixed that day. The location he sent me to got my vehicle in right away! Everyone there was really nice and everyone of them were working their butts off trying to take of everyone s needs in a timely manner. I m very impressed by this shop. Recently I ve been needing to get things done and I ve dealt with multiple Mavis locations and everyone of them have been super helpful and caring about the customers needs. I highly recommend.

I was in need of four tires right before a snow storm. I inadvertently scheduled what I thought was an appointment at this Mavis. I was wrong, by the time I finished figuring out where I went wrong, I was a little upset to say the least. James (he is the Manager at this store) quickly calmed me down and kindly said to come in the next day whenever it was convienent for me and that they could take care of me, again very short notice). When I arrived I was greeted by James, a warm, friendly, outgoing, great customer service guy!!! There was no pressure to buy a certain tire, he took the time to go over what they had for my car and let me pick what I though was best for me and my pocketbook. They took me in immediately and said it could take a couple hours. Id say within an hour and a half it was done, cost was just the right price compared to other tire places I checked out. If you live in the area and need tires, I would go to this Mavis and see James.

Been to Mavis discount tires in the past amd they were terrible but some I started going to the colonie location The Manager James and his crew has put a 180 in my bad experiences with the other maviss he is honest transparent and have reasonable prices have no complaints here!

Mavis discount tire is a get rich Ponzi skim for curtain customers and if you use to work for them they won t they don t care how much you need them they don t care so if some of you got a bad experience as a customer I finally got to see there true colors I bought a battery from them for 2 vehicles and all of a sudden my information not in the system and now I can t get a replacement though it s the wrong battery then as a BLACK individual after everything I m not allowed in place of business though all my parts were purchased from so now I don t have a warranty for no parts for both my vehicles and I ve been dedicated to this company for a year

My daughter had made an appt on a Monday for the purchase of 4 tires and placement. The computer wasn t showing the appt nor the tires available. James suggested we go online to reschedule and purchase the tires due to the promotion they were offering and to have them delivered to their facility directly before next appt. We reschedule for Friday and again the appt is not showing and the tires are not present. Now we have James contacting their main office and the Manager James steps in to assist. Come to find out it was a glitch in their online scheduling and ordering. The customer service person was not helpful and these two guys did everything they could to find the appt and tires. Getting nowhere with the woman on the phone, Manager James came through by honoring the deal (had receipts and photos), found us the 4 tires and completed the service we paid for. The service and genuine care for their customers is real. I won t hesitate to recommend/refer or continue to use this branch. Thank you James and James for your amazing service!
