I attempted to get a state inspection but they were currently booked, which is fine. I understood I did not make an appointment. The man asked if he could share 3 things wth me. I assumed it had to do with another place to get an inspection or the best way to get an appointment with them. Instead he spoke to me as if I look like an unfit disgruntled looking woman.... telling me I need to stretch more, breathe and do face excercises... not sure if he was trying to be helpful but if yes he should work on how he says it because he was saying you should in front of each thing versus have you tried...in general very awkward.

Shout out to Michelle at the Delmar location for her customer service & trying hard to get me and my kiddos in and out as quickly as possible!

Called ahead to ensure that I can get an emissions inspection just to be turned around 20mins later after I arrived. The workers informed me that the wait would be 2hrs or greater and that I could wait if I like. Please people, communication is key, this could have been communicated. This was a complete waste of my time.

I will forever go to this location because Maria the manager is always so helpful to me literally gets me in an out for an oil change in less than 40 mins. This place is always my go to Maria is great shes beyond nice and is extremely professional along with everyone else who works there. Definitely recommend if you are in a pinch for time and need your oil changed or just want fast and quality service!

I love going here! They are always super friendly and super upfront about everything going on with your car. If you need something done but cant afford it at the moment, they gave you a ballpark time of when you should bring it in to get it taken care of so you can work on figuring out how to pay for it. Definitely recommend coming here!

This is my favorite Valvoline to come to! Maria is absolutely the best every time I come she is efficient and thorough with my oil changes and inspections. The staff here is all fantastic including Michelle! I highly recommend you bring your car here you will be well taken care of. I have a brand new car and was getting my oil changed at the dealership but when I had to bring my car to Valvoline because the dealership just takes way to long and I couldn t be without my car for a full day I brought it here and Maria informed me that my engine was really dirty because oil changes were not being done properly. I no longer bring my car to the dealership and only bring it here to keep my car running efficiently!

Just got home from my oil change at this location (Delmar) and had to write about this excellent experience. Yukima gave me the nicest greeting. Michelle was very kind. Both of them did a great job on my oil change. There was another staff member - I think his name was Wes - who was also friendly. My coupon was processed seamlessly. There was no pressure to purchase other services. I will return specifically to this location because of Yukima, Michelle, and Wes.

Truly my favorite Valvoline. I have been going here for at least a year if not more. All of the staff is so pleasant with me. And Im always in and out. The manager Maria and another employee Michelle are truly amazing. They always laugh with me, and make me feel great. I appreciate them so much and this is definitely my favorite Valvoline that I have been to!

I Was turned away by employee who said manager left and they were closing before it was even time. Terrible customer service. Just wanted a oil change. So I eent to jiffy lube up the road and was happily helped plus a free car wash. Avoid here at all cost it isnt worth the aggravation.

Brought my trd pro 4 runner in for a state inspection. I had to stop the employee from changing my oil after asking for a inspection. He then proceeded to drop my 4 runner off the floor jack. The employee was very rude afterwards.

This Valvoline is by far the most friendly one I ve been too. From the pleasant greeting on the phone to the frantic in person interaction. Not just one of the employees but all of them. The manager Maria is amazing and explained everything in detail prior to performing work and was extremely pleasant and smile throughout the entire visit. Customer service like this is hard to find but at this Valvoline it s second nature and you truly feel the customer comes first. Week done to you and your team Maria.

Let me just say , if you need a simple oil change or an NYS inspection, SAVE yourself the time and just go to a different location! This has got to be the absolute worse location in upstate NY. It seems like no one there actually has a clue what they are doing or what is even going on. trust me, find another , you don t want to get involved with this shop!

All bays empty & was told they ONLY do NYS Inspection by appt! Next available is 9/1/22 & it takes a while for the inspection. Huh!? Jiffy Lube takes 15-20min. Am in line for them now. What happened to 1st come 1st served at Valvoline? They lost another customer...

I use to go to jiffy lube but they dont take care of their customers like they use to let alone their own employees. So I decided to try valvoline for the 1st time. They have you stay in your car while talking to you about what they are doing and was in & out with in 20mins. I will be going back.

I tried to use this business, I couldn t. We had called earlier in the week, I believe January 30 to see if they could perform an inspection. They said they were not doing any until after February 2. Tried to go this morning, waited an hour in line to get into the garage, which is fine, I understand I went at a busy time. What I do not appreciate is there is no way to know that this location does not do inspections other than Monday through Friday 8 to 3, or something like that. That is not what we were told earlier in the week, that is not the message you get when you are put on hold trying to call the location. How is anybody supposed to know that they don t have the staff to do this on the weekends?

I arrive at 8:30 am because yesterday they told me to come in first thing in the morning since it s first come first serve. I come in and they tell me they don t start inspections until 9 am. So I m legitimately sitting there as they take 3 cars in before mine. Waited for over an hour talking to one of the ladies they decided to take in before me who was shocked. Decided to leave and stop wasting my time. Would never come here again.

For the past two years me and my husband have been going to Valvoline in Delmar for our cars. They used to have great staff. But, last time I went there was this one worker and I was very unhappy. As a person who doesn t speak English very well, here s a advice; If you don t speak English very well; be careful with picking the staff. There is one worker who is very disrespectful. Do not go there. He mocks you. He thought I couldn t understand. Also, when I went to get my inspection he kept telling me there was something wrong with my car so I had to keep coming back. I paid for my inspection too. But I visited another store that I never been in before and they said there is nothing wrong with my car. The part that makes me sad the most is; I m 58 years old and just because I don t speak English fluent. The new worker mocked me and caused my blood pressure to get so high. I will not be coming back.

Excellent professional service. Staff goes the extra mile. The work area could use ceiling fans. When you are moving your car out the heat is oppressive. Dont know how your workers deal with it.

I came in expecting to do quite a few things per the recommendation of another mechanic. Come to find out a lot of these things were unnecessary. The manager Alex was fabulous - super knowledgeable and very honest! I was In & out very quickly. I highly Recommend this place for any of your vehicle maintenance needs.

The day I went the team seemed to be very behind on appointments and walk-ins so I had about a 2 hour wait, but the team s excellent customer service and management trumped any complaint I could ve had. Upon an uncomfortable topic having to be addressed, the leader working (I think Alex- he was wonderful) on my vehicle handled it professionally and went above and beyond. I was treated as an equal and they provided any information in a digestible way to someone who doesn t know much about cars. Overall a well informed and respectful staff that made a positive impact, although I feel bad for the heat they have to endure in that garage! It was gruesome during the heatwave.

Went for an inspection this morning, all garages are empty. The tech came up to my window with his cigarette in hand and told me I needed an appointment for an inspection and then the guy who does inspections is out for the moment. Funny how they can get me right in for my $100 oil change since my truck uses synthetic oil but now I need to make an appointment for a week out to get an inspection when the garage was completely empty. No wonder jiffy lube has a line of cars down the street. I also did not appreciate this guys cigarette on my door with his smoke coming into my truck for my two little boys to breathe. Very unprofessional. Too good for my $10 inspection, then I guess you are too good for my $100 oil change. Customer lost

I stopped by because I didn t know how to put on my windshield wipers. The manager immediately helped me and was so NICE! He was a complete delight! Will be back for service in the future because of him.

It was a rainy, dark day. My headlight died. I tried going to jiffy lube and I think they lied to me saying they had no bulbs Miss Marie (Murray?) checked me in about 15 minutes before closing and fixed me up. Didn t want me driving without a headlight on a rainy day. I really appreciate the help, very accommodating. Hard working and respectful crew. Thank you!

Manager flat out lied to my wife and also me. You need an appointment to have an inspection done here. My wife made an appointment for 2pm. When she arrives just behind another vehicle, they told her she has to wait even though she had an appointment. The exact time she was told this is 2:01pm. Fair enough but 30 minutes go by and she is still waiting. I call the manager and she explains the customer just before her had an appointment at 1pm for an inspection also but something about their system being down with the DMV and they can only do one car at a time. Meanwhile other cars gets pulled in ahead of my wife which were just for oil changes and other services. Fair enough so far but odd they took the 1pm appointment first when they were an hour late to arrive. My wife was in the waiting room when that customer was checking out. They audibly ran over the complete list of services they did on that same vehicle, but an inspection was NOT one of them, just an oil change, tire rotation, etc. This means the manager completely lied to both me and my wife making her wait an hour for a scheduled service she made days in advance. They just lost a customer.

Ive been happy in the past since theyre fast and efficient (still about $80), but with my oil change on 3/5/22, tell me why I paid $115 for super oil since they didnt have the regular synthetic oil. Still have to come back after 3k miles though? NOPE

Went for inspection, was told I needed a right tire, went and got said right tire and came back. Was told I needed a left tire, go get a left tire and come back then told I needed to qqir 25-30 minutes because another customer was here before me. Waste of time and money, idiots.

Brought my car in for a simple oil change and they also replaced both filters. I left and noticed my air conditioner wasnt working the next day when it was working perfectly fine prior to my visit. At my request they reluctantly checked my refrigerant and said it showed almost none in it. I took it to a different garage and discovered a leak in my line. Somehow the service techs hit something to cause a leak inimy line and lose my refrigerant. It doesnt just go from working fine for two summers to now a leak right after an oil change. Extremely dissatisfied and dissapdisapp.

I usually pull up and someone greets me at my car. I stopped by yesterday, and no one came out. I waited patiently for a few minutes, still no one. I went inside, and waited for someone to acknowledge me. Still no one came in the office to see what I would like done, just kept working on the one car in the bay. There was only one other car after mine in the parking lot. Three bay doors open, only one being used. After a total of 15 minutes waiting, I left and went to the competition down the road and got right in and out. A bit disappointed, as this location is generally very helpful and fast.

I generally change the oil in my own truck and I have been for most of its 200k, but I took it to this Valvoline because of a coupon and I was extremely dissatisfied. The service guy insisted that I needed to use high mileage oil (though Ive used conventional for 200k and the truck still doesnt burn oil), he then put a different weight oil in it than what I requested and overfilled it by a quart (the owners manual says it need 5 qts. and even on my recipient it says he put in 6 qts.) Poor service, and it could have damaged my engine if I didnt realize it had been overfilled.
