I took my vehicle there for an expensive repair and not only does my car stop working AGAIN for the same issue they supposedly repaired but they want me to take care of having the vehicle towed there. Literally the last time they will ever touch my vehicles. Their service has declined immensely over the past few years and their front counter staff needs a course in customer service or maybe they can use the money they make off of bad repairs and buy her a new personality!

Didnt have to make appointment and was in and out with not that long of wait , I got oil change, tiers rotation, and front brake pads was done in just over a hour wait !

The co engine light on for inspection they charged me 80 to change oil told me to drive 50 miles and return 4 days later and then they say they dont have men or time to fix take to basil wasted a whole week messing with them bad business un professional looking for easy buck

Stopped in on a Saturday morning for the first time without an appointment for a vehicle inspection. I was greeted very favorably, and had an excellent experience. I was advised to make an appointment next year, which I will certainly be doing. Very convenient and professional.

I do NOT recommend using Ellmans garage in Dunkirk. My stolen vehicle ended up in their lot. They proceeded to do repairs without my authorization. They contacted me after the repairs were done. They acknowledged all of this and still expected me to pay. When I resisted, four of the employees essentially bullied me until I paid. This in my opinion is no way to run a business.

I usually do all the work on my truck myself I replaced the sensor I went out to the res which is 60 Mile round trip I went into the store came out my truck would not crank I tried everything I could but could not get it to even attempt to crank over I called around for a tow truck I did try to call this garage see if I could get a tow but I couldnt find a number for their towing company so I called the garage and left a message I did find a tow truck to bring my truck back to this garage and in the morning they called me let me know that it was my starter which I had figured it was I usually do all the work on my truck myself but my truck was already at their yard and they gave me a reasonable price to put a new one in so I said go ahead and do it and they had my truck done within 30 minutes of me talking to them on the phone they were really nice definitely would bring my truck back there without a doubt

I pulled into the garage off the 90 with a failed wheel bearing on my home from Canada to Ohio, usually you are at the mercy of the garage ...and I have been taking advantage of because of being from out of town . They treated me great I paid no more than I would have from my long time mechanic and friend ,I really needed to eat ...Tony took me to the waterfront dropped me off and picked me up in my truck that was fixed good as new in less than 2 hours from the time I pulled...no better service anywhere .. If you have trouble in the area go see these guys at the garage ...I cant say enough....thank you so much Jeff S .wooster ohio

The best around. If you leave your car over night there is a good chance they have it done by 9am. They don t mess around, they get the job done, no funny business. The only place I trust taking my vehicles too.

Amazing staff and service!

Had low tire pressure one morning. Stopped at 3 different gas stations and the air machine wouldn t put air in. All 3 places took air out of tire. Even had associate at one place try to help and did the same for her. Stopped at Ellman s and they looked at my tire right away and didn t charge.

Always ready to go the extra mile. When my wheel bearing went they even gave me a ride home.

Owner was a complete jerk when my car was towed there. My Parents have been using him for years. Sounds like he s getting lazy. Told me he only wants to do breaks and oil changes on American cars. Lazy. Last time myself or my family give them our money, Super trashy.

I was recommended this place & the prices are reasonable... also the Mechanic are wonderful...now Im going to tell all my friends and family about this gem...

Always available to get what I need done and good at what they do. Very honest they do not try to steer you wrong even though men know us women dont know too much about vehicles and are very reasonable in prices.

Jim , Todd and Cindy take care of you when you come there with a problem or need inspection or repairs and they dont over price you with big bills. They charge at a reasonable price.

i was new in town and wanted to try a local shop with good reviews but my experience did not match that of those writing the 5 star reviews very rude people attempted to have my car serviced here they ask for cash up front without a quote or any signed paperwork to do such important work retroactively changed my tow fee from 50 to 75 and argued when i mentioned it left my car at a neighbors house with the keys in the ignition after i decided to have it returned to me and serviced elsewhere after talking to locals about it they said they dont know what theyre doing and to go elsewhere one claimed they cleared a car with a busted head gasket saying it had no problems

Brought my car in for a harmonic balancer fix, turns out they used cheap lock-tight to tighten the bolt. Didn t want to professionally fix it. Never using this business again

Ellmans is the BEST. Always willing to help you out no matter how busy they are. We are so fortunate to have them.

The tow truck driver isnt legally following the correct way, to strap vehicles down on a flat bed. Almost lost my truck off the side and it moved over several times as well. Would HIGHLY recommend going through someone else for towing. If they send him through triple a, ask for a different tow truck company.

I experienced some car trouble on a recent visit to the area. These guys fit me into their hectic schedule and had me back on the road in no time at a very reasonable cost. I cant recommend them more highly!!!

Evidently didnt want my money, daughter lives in the area and had an emergency need for repairs, they quoted extremely high for what I consider 2 easy jobs, and made a myriad of excuses as to why they couldnt get her in... and immediately lost my business, as Im the one to pay for repairs to keep my daughter and grandson safe and mobile, we found better all the way around! I am a former auto mechanic and diesel mechanic, and both of my boys went to school for automotive repair, oldest does this line of work 6 days a week!

Workers are very funny but they do like to take their time meaning as in talking to other people talking to other workers instead of doing their job making you pay more for the hour when theyre actually not doing it within the period that it should be done because theyre talking other than theyre talking on your dime great mechanics

AAA sent the road service truck to help me get my car started. The service was to jump my car. I needed to buy a new battery since it had been 6 yrs. since I bought the last one from Elmans Garage. Good place to do business with!!!!

Patrick had saved me twice. Arrived in tow truck. Pleasant and helpful. First time my car wouldnt start and he knew it was the battery. The second time I had a flat on brand new tires. He arrived and plugged it quickly. The owners are awesome!!! When mounting and balancing my tires they made sure I was in and out as I had my 20 month old with me who was in need of a nap by the time they were done. Love this place!!!

I took my car with the check engine light on and he charged me $1,900 and he left with the entire dash on. They damaged the speed sensor, the ABS sensor and left many parts loose and I found tools inside the engine compartment and he never wanted to fix the damage caused by his employee who were young people with no experience or mechanics licenses.

Ellmans was not interested at all in fixing my car.

Receptionist was very rude.

Everyone is very pleasant & the service was great & they checked all my vitals.

Called to inform them their employees illegally blocked a 4 way intersection by not using flaggers, not coning off area to keep cars from entering zone ( I know, because I entered the zone when I was unaware they were actually towing a car), and they had a tow cable across two lanes of traffic with no one coordinating traffic or alerting drivers to alternate routes. Man who answered said he is the one who blocked traffic. He did not, he pulled over with his hazards, which were hardly even visible due to the excessive snow and ice. Me and another driver passed him only to be stopped by a non flagged or zoned off cable from the tow truck across both lanes of traffic pulling a car out of a ditch. I had a emergency and your crew, which the man admitted he was the man who parked his truck at the top of the hill. When I expressed this was dangerous, especially because he was parked on top of a hill with no flags or traffic coordination, he told me he had a cop right there next to him in the office that could tell me how wrong I was. So, I asked to talk to the cop, to clarify whether he was actually creating a dangerous situation. The man then told me the cop was too busy. So I offered to leave my name and number to be called back, the man told me no and then hung up on me. You created a very unsafe environment and you do not follow proper protocols. Your vehicle was not flagged at the top of the hill, it was pulled over on the grass. I easily went right around it without going into the other lane, as did the car behind me. Then because of your cable across both lanes the other vehicle and I became trapped on a icy hill. You and your two trucks blocked 4 lanes of traffic with no alternate routes. And telling customers you have a cop available to defend your un-professional and dangerous ways is the most ridiculous customer service I have ever encountered.

Ellmans garage stole my vehicle from in front of my house and is refusing to give up its location. The tow driver specifically said he was going to make it disappear! Law enforcement agencies have been contacted and charges are being filed against the company itself. I would not recommend use of their services to anybody not even my worst enemy!
