Morgan, Joseph and Dale were the service team who worked on my vehicle. All were courteous and friendly. Morgan did a good job of explaining recommended services but she did not pressure me about any of them.
I came in for an oil change, and wound up getting both air filter and cabin air filter replaced as well. The employee came into my car opened my glove box and dumped everything out onto my floor and put half of it back, suggested replacing the filter without telling me I was going to get bent over $54 for a $20 part. They filled air in my tires and didn’t put the valve stem covers back on. Overall attitude was sub-satisfactory. I work a blue collar job I know not everyday is great but I still manage to get over it and put a smile on. Done with Valvoline
They seem to have a running "no appts till Dec 2nd" excuse so they simply don't have to do inspections. Their website doesn't offer appts and clearly states they aren't needed. But I guess when you're miserable and don't want to do your job this is what you get. I bet towards the end of December it'll be "no appts till Jan 2nd" excise and so on. No worries Jiffy Lube is nicer, does their job and seems to want business.
I was in need of my inspection being done, and was in the area of East Greenbush and decided to stop at the same location that I was given horrible customer service seven months ago only to have the SAME horrible customer service given back to me by the SAME people. This is completely unacceptable, and I’ve already contacted the Better Business Bureau. I noticed that Joseph was demoted from manager to assistant manager. And apparently that demoted did not help the horrible Customer Service that he’s continuing to give to people. This will not be tolerated, I simply asked for an inspection and he rudely with an attitude told me I’d have to make an appointment and I wouldn’t be able to come back until after December 2, which is totally understandable, but it’s not what he said it was how he said it, along with Sophie and employee that was there who was sticking her tongue out at me who thought the whole situation was funny. This location is a joke and quite frankly it makes me question, the general manager of that store and what they view as acceptable customer service. I’m sick of it and I’ve already reached out to the higher-ups of the company, I will no longer be receiving any discounts off oil changes or apologies. There needs to be something done about these people at THIS location. If you’re in need of your car being serviced and don’t want to be disrespected and treated like a piece of trash, do not go to the Columbia Turnpike location YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
Call to get an state inspection told that I have to schedule it and it is 2 weeks out. It takes 10-20 minutes to do. I drive by the place and there are no cars in the bays and people are standing around. I understand that you don't make much money on inspections but you are paying those people to do nothing.
Went to Valvoline in EG yesterday 9/16/24 for the very first time. I highly recommend! Glad I decided to try it instead of Jiffy Lube where I won’t return. You don’t even have to get out of your vehicle! I was in and out within probably 20 minutes for a desperately needed oil change! Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous staff! Can’t say enough. Thanks again!
After my first visit, I don't think I will go anywhere else for an oil change. They were so fast, clearly had systems to ensure everything was done correctly, and the team had a positive camaraderie. As a retail manager, I was impressed by the managers skill to positively coach, train, redirect, and ensure the best possible service. He was good at the up-sell, but I didn't buy anything I didn't want. I'm super impressed.
It’s fast, convenient, and the staff seemed to be efficient. The problem I have is I just paid an astronomical $258, and they couldn’t be bothered to take their time and not make a mess. They smeared oil all over my bright friggin blue car, and made a mess inside the engine bay. I can understand that mistakes happen, but there’s zero chance you didn’t notice what you did wrong here yet made no attempt to clean it. I would’ve been happy if you had at least cleaned it off the paint. It looks sloppy and unprofessional, and now I have to clean up after your techs. They also didn’t even apply a sticker stating when the next oil change was due, which is minor but an inconvenience nonetheless.
Employee came over not in the best of a mood. Asked me what I was looking to get done and after that no communication. When giving me my total he just handed me the cc machine. I had my card out already. No additional questions or offers like usual. Hands me the sticker for the oil change, usually they swap it out. Also never checked my lights or blinkers. I had a headlight out btw. No liquid checks, usually they check to see your levels and top them off if need be. I understand people have bad days, I even asked if he was having a bad day brought his sourpuss to his attention . Hopefully the next person had better luck.

If I could give zero stars I would , got an oil change and tire rotation done, dropped my car way too fast , over torqued my lug nuts & somehow bent the dust shield. Had to go to my regular mechanic to get the dust shield bent back and I have to replace lug nuts. I was in a rush for an oil change but I would never go to these guys again. Idk how they bent the dust shield from jacking up the car. Either that or the guy in the pit bent it somehow. Anyway I wouldn t recommend anyone go there until they get some mechanics that know what they re doing.

Sooo... this boggled my mind. I pulled into Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Rt. 20 in East Greenbush to get my car inspected. I was psyched because I was only one there, the techs were just sitting/standing around. In & out! Yay! I pull in to the bay & tell the tech I only need an inspection. Do you have an appointment? the tech asked. I thought she was kidding, so I laughed and said How about right now?. She said, in all seriousness, I cant do that, it needs to scheduled. No explanation, no remorse, no compassion. So I left, driving right by the road sign that reads Free safety checks! Just pull in. Ridiculousness. I checked the their web site and there is no mention of needing an appointment for any service. Im at Jiffy Lube now (just down the road) & the inspection is almost finished.

I went to Jiffy Lube and they told me it was going to be an hour wait. While I was in the lobby staff was screaming at each other over doing the oil change on the vehicle ahead of mine. I immediately got back into my car and left. I use Valvoline oil normally and I saw that there was an oil change place just down the street from Jiffy Lube. I thought I should give it a try since it couldn t be worse than where I just was. Immediately upon pulling in the staff was incredibly friendly, replaced my filters and wipers that desperately needed it. Joseph D. was super helpful and also fixed my fuel tank door which hadn t been opening. It was so quick they were polite, joking with each other and very professional. I ve never had such a wonderful experience getting my oil changed. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs an oil change. It was the best experience I ve had getting my oil changed.

I called 45 mn for emergency oil change the lady over the phone says they are close at 6pm I ask her if i do have time if i can still go she said yes she was so nice but then when arrived to the place they guy sent me home he said I only have 30 mn but he cant help I explain to him i called before I came he said thats the call center. I went to this East Greenbush Valvoline for an oil change and tire rotation on Saturday April 26. When I told the woman that came out and asked me what I was there for, I told her. She looked at my front tires and said there was no way she was rotating them because they re too worn and they re not legal? She was pretty rude about telling me this and said if I wanted an oil change I d be waiting for over an hour because there was only one other person working and she s still being very rude about it. I said have a nice day and went down the road to your competitor, told them that I d like a tire rotation and oil change. The tech looked at my tires and said no problem, my tires are very legal. I was in and out in 45 minutes and they were professional and courteous. Valvoline had lost a customer, I won t go back to any of their stores.
WOW. If I were able to upload the video of the experience I had at the Valvoline in East Greenbush you d be in disbelief! The rudeness from the manager Joseph was deplorable to say the least!! Totally unacceptable and uncalled for! Every question, comment and statement was displayed in a negative way!! I will NEVER be returning to this again with Joseph as manager! Complete unprofessional! Thank goodness his coworker stepped in and corrected his rudeness

I had a 5 star experience at this location! From the moment I rolled into the parking lot April, the manager, had this place under control! The technician, Harold, he absolutely did a wonderful job and made me laugh the entire time! I was very happy with the service I ve received here and I will definitely be going back to this location!
There were only 2 people working there and they worked great together and fast paced. I was there with 3 cars ahead of me and for 2 people working I was there for about 30 mins. Not bad. Good job guys.
I guess he was in the manager but whoever initially greeted me and brought me in was rude and unprofessional. I know these places work on commission, so they try to sell you services you don t need. I sat there and listened to them sell this lady next to me a bunch of stuff she didn t need. They tried to sell me but I ve been working on cars for 30 years so it didn t work for me obviously. They didn t check any of my fluids or tires, maybe it was because they knew they couldn t sell me on other services. The manager suggested synthetic oil, but I told him I m selling my car soon and just wanted regular oil. A little while later he came over and said hey, I ll give you 500 bucks for your car What an insult! I thought he was joking, then he said , considering the high miles all it s worth is 500 bucks. Again, how rude and insulting! I wouldn t have bothered writing this review if it wasn t for the rudeness of the manager.
As always, very professional, speedy, and thorough. The manager is great, she always pays attention to detail, and is very accommodating and polite. 230,400 miles and counting! UPDATE, New truck a while back, 60,000 miles on that now, still the same great service!
If you haven t used the East Greenbush location of VIOC-you should. Make sure April is there. She and her crew are the best around. I take all my vehicles there and have for years. Great service with no pressure to up-sell other services. They do inform you of anything, they believe or see as factory recommendations, you should have done for you vehicle. Always quick service. They are AWESOME!

This was the worse experience I ve ever had with Valvoline, and will never return because of what happened. Joe greeted me very rudely and unprofessionally right from the start. He told me that my radiator flush is due, which was ok , that s what they do. I told him that I don t have time, so please just do the oil change. He goes on and says,well I m going to put it through anyways and see if the fleet services approve it. I said do not do that, I don t have time. He comes back and tell me good news they approved the the radiator flush, after me telling him 5 times I DO NOT WANT IT DONE! I also asked him to top of the washing fluid and put air in the front driver side tire which was very low and After telling him 3 times he finally puts the air in the tire, but the (wrong air pressure ) and finally topped off the washing fluid. I never complain because I know people have bad days, but this guy shouldn t disregard someone 5 times after saying no! No paying paying customer should have to experience what I did. With all that being said, they will now lose, not only a whole fleet account but a loyal customer.
After my first oil change with this store I began having problems with my oil pan/engine cover which ended up getting destroyed and needing to be replaced. Would not recommend. Edit: The owner was very kind and understanding of the damage. They swiftly resolved my skid plate problem. Their customer service was very thorough in the resolution as well.

Worst experience ever . Dumped oil all over the motor , hand prints alll over front grill and both fenders . Did not drain all the oil ending with dirty oil . Did not clean up any of the mess . No sticker and did not even check the dipstick . Someone named Damien says he will change the oil again for money . Employees only talked about pot , stealing and HR inquiry s while there . This place is a joke stay away . They were only $ 50 more than the dealer to filth up your stuff and give you a half oil change .
The manager, April, is always very nice and not as pushy as some of the other employees with trying to upsell services. While I know corporate probably has a set of service goals they encourage their employees to try force on customers, she s always trying to explain why it should be done and if it can t get done right away what you as a customer can do until you feel comfortable getting the service done. Honest mechanics are hard to come by, so when you find one you try and stay with them. As long as she s at this location, I ll keep bringing my car to her and her team and will continue to recommend this location to friends and family.

Only filter gasket was installed improperly and filter not tightened fully. Caused my car to leak all the oil out in one night and nearly seized the engine. Had to bring to a proper mechanic to get the oil change done correctly and for nearly half the price. Will not be back

Staff are very professional and happy with their service. Complements to them. Just astonished how much it cost for a synthetic oil change, $130! Dealership costs less. Dont think Ill be returning, 5 qt of full synthetic 0w16 costs $45. I paid essentially $85 for 10 minutes of service.
They have you schedule an appointment for inspection, however they do not honor the time. The lack of management at this place is subpar at best. Very frustrating! 8 people work at this place...say no more.

My husband with these guys yesterday because they tore his air filter and didnt even tell him. Then once we got on the high way we heard some noise. We pulled over and the air filter was left open and tore.
Pay no attention to the website!!! They wont take you in for a inspection without appointment ( even though they say no appointment necessary) . Id hate to see anyone waste valuable gas and time going there only to be turned away! Many other local options for quick service right down the road. Im now taking my 4 vehicles elsewhere. I never had a problem till a couple weeks ago. I pulled up to the shop in need of an inspection that expires within a month so i figured ill do it on my lunch break. A tech comes to the car rejecting me because he thought I had tints on my suv. I told him no I only have factory tints and i never touched them. He replied anyway it s appointments only as I see not one car being serviced and they are all standing around laughing like they are on break. As a customer i felt very unwanted and will never come to this shop ever again better yet the company.
Tried calling en route for Inspection appt. No answer. Pulled up 10 min later to learn yes, you need an appt for this! Valvonline needs to change their message as the tag line is Where you never need an appointment. I was lucky - no one there so they took me. Attendant April was courteous, efficient & professional but little bedside manner (hell it s an inspection)! Told me AC is low and cabin filter dirty and noted it on receipt. I was due for oil change so used on-line coupon for that as well. In & out in under 30 min. Place was clean, techs were cordial and I was happy with service overall. April does crack the whip!

Just so you know, you need an appointment for a NYS inspection at this location because not all employees are licensed to preform inspections. That being said, when I came for my appointment I was in and out in 10 minutes with no high pressure sales pitches for other services. I appreciate that! My experience at J Lube down the street last year was opposite. I was first in line and waited 90 minutes and then was told I needed all sort of services I really didnt need. The lady that waited on me at Valvoline was pleasant and professional and I will definitely go there again for both oil changes and future inspections!
I pull up they start taking apart my car trying to find ways to rack up my bill with miscellaneous services. I have to tell them 3x I just want an oil change. I tell the guy I want the cheapest oil. He puts in full synthetic and charges me full synthetic. I ask why tf did you do that when I said cheapest oil he said whoopsie.... then some dipstick kid comes up and starts trying to tell me all the benefits of full synthetic. No refund offer. Literally 1 job change my oil. Never going there again
Amazing and fast service. Everyone was personable. Showed up here for an oil change on 11/15 around 4pm. They had me in and out fast, everything was done right, I was advised of some upcoming services needed based on mileage but no hard sell. I will definitely be back when Im in the area.

Not too crazy about the East Greenbush location. Not overly friendly, and my plastic cover underneath was hanging down after the oil change. I didnt feel comfortable to go back to ask to fix it.
Im out here in NY because my mom passed and we are attending the funeral and making sure dad is OK. We are about to head back to WA and peace of mind is huge for an oil change. Ive run quick lubes and repair shops and it was VERY re assuring to hear them doing all their call outs, second party checks and showing us our oil level. I feel at ease and ready for this 3200 mile trip. Thank you all so much

called here got a quote for oil change. too be short. i was lied too. so one star because of the lie. I will have to change oil & filter myself some time. the bill was not right. charged for things they did not do. oil dirty and filter not changed.
I went here for an inspection and an oil change. On the coldest day of the year, they couldnt get 2 nuts off of the wheels and failed my inspection. They couldnt have heated it up or put some WD-40 on the wheel with the synthetic oil change? Waste of time. I wouldnt have gotten the oil change other than I needed an inspection. Im going to do my best to avoid going here in the future.

I went on the Valvoline website to check and see if I needed an appointment for a vehicle inspection. All over the site it states No Appointment Necessary. So I go to the Valvoline. Not 1 single vehicle in the bays, not one single vehicle waiting to be seen. I arrive, they bring me right in. A male worker asks what they can do for me, I said a vehicle inspection please. 30 seconds later, the most miserable female I have seen in years comes from behind my vehicle and barks ate that I need an appointment. I said to her that I checked the website and it said no appointments were needed. She cuts me off in mid sentence and says I have an 11 oclock coming in, if they dont show you can have that one or wait till I can get to you. Now if it was not for the fact that my inspection was overdue (no excuses on my part) I would have completely lost it on this woman but I swallowed my pride and said ok I will wait. They then have me pull out and wait in the parking lot till her miserableness came out to get car. Mind you I arrived at approximately 10:45 in the morning. At 11:05 she came out to get my vehicle. At 11:20 the inspection was complete. So in the 15 minutes I waited, she could have completed the inspection. The customer service and I can only assume she is the manager of the store, was terrible. For anyone needing any quick services completed, plan ahead and make an appointment with a real garage, where you will be treated like a human instead of how I was treated.
Have you noticed most of the poor reviews are for inspections??!! Why dont they just come clean and say they dont want to do inspections, or more accurately, simply DONT do inspections? Have physically gone over two times. The first, they said the person who does inspections had left for the day, try again some other time. Frustrating, but I went back again another day. After waiting 30 minutes in line, they say I now need to call to make an appointment. So I called the one in Guilderland/Altamont, as its closer to me during the day. After being on hold forever, he comes back to the phone to say he isnt able to schedule a time right now, try again at another time. When I asked why we couldnt schedule, he said he needs to speak to someone else first. So I call back weeks later. The guy on the phone puts me on hold - again, for a considerable amount of time - then comes back and says nobody is answering at the store. I ask him to explain, and he says he is answering remotely, and cant get ahold of anyone at the physical location to schedule. His solution? You guessed it. Try again some other time. That was four attempts on my part!! What a joke this is. VIOC clearly does not want to do inspections, and do everything they can to discourage it. I guess nobody has connected the dots that we are the same people who get other services done there as well. Sorry, make that past tense. Unbelievable.
Got to the Valvoline in East Greenbush at 820a today. Was asked by the service manger what I needed done, to which I responded an inspection. She proceeded to tell me she couldn t take my car until right around 10a because I didn t have an appointment and she had another car coming in soon. I have been using this business for sometime for my oil changes. That stops today. I drive down the street to Jiffy Lube got there around 835 and was out of there by 915am. Drive past Valvoline again to go to another business after around 925a and they still had both bays open with no cars but saw 2 people standing in the bays chatting doing nothing. Jiffy Lube was very happy to get my business since I also had other services done, not just my inspection.

Show up for a NYS inspection and am told an appointment is needed even though there are no customers currently being serviced. My friend got an inspection the week before without an appointment but whatever made an appointment. Show up for the appointment a week later and was turned away for being 2 minutes late ?!?!?!? 2 minutes. Completely unreasonable, my business will be appreciated elsewhere.

Poor customer service all the time and over pricey. The most of new cars get oil change at 7000 miles but Valvoline recomment 3000. It is alrready more expensive than other places abd they ask to come 2 times vs 1 time in a regular dealer. On top of being expensive, the employess are rude. The best part, it is quick.
I pulled in at lunch time today to get an inspection. Both bays were open. They turned away my business and said I needed an appointment. I said but there is no one here. She said you need an appointment. I then called another Vavoline and then said that they don t take or need appointments. Nice job East Greenbush store.

Scheduled an inspection for 3pm. I arrived at 3:04pm and they turned me away saying they can reschedule. They couldnt reschedule me for another 2 weeks which was past my inspection due date. Ive always brought both my vehicles here for oil changes but will be going elsewhere from now on because of 4 minutes. Update: Bring your vehicle an extra mile to Jiffy Lube. Much better experience all around

I just needed wiper blades. The associate who helped me didnt make me wait in the oil change line which would have been a substantial time. Instead he had me pull into a parking spot and installed the blades without me even having to get out of my car. Being that Im handicapped and use a walker to walk it was an extraordinary help. He even took care of the payment remotely. This all took less than 10 minutes. This Valvoline location goes above and beyond!

I drove up to valvoline and asked to get my car inspected. The mechanic told me no I have to make an appointment. I asked why Because the place was empty and why couldn t they accommodate me? He said because you have to make an appointment; so I asked to make an appointment right at that time. Again he told me no I told him I thought he was being lazy. This is very bad customer service.

Why would you tell me you couldnt give me a printed reciept today? My answer when I asked was the manager said so. No I am not giving you an email address for your spam to email me one. Upon demanding a printed reciept I did get one. I cannot think of a single legitimate reason for refusing to give me one when I asked initially and only giving it when I demanded it.

Inspection failed due to worn tires, Tires replaced and return next day to get re-inspected told me wait was 1 hour I waited and then was told to get out of line after waiting 40 minutes because someone else had an appointment I left and went somewhere else to complete inspection bad customer service
The manager, Maria is so incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She was extremely professional and helpful and gave me EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! She is ALL about the customer. GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE!

Great experience getting my oil changed today. I had an awesome lady named April that was super knowledgeable and on point!!! Couldnt ask for better service. This lady deserves to be CEO in my personal opinion!!!
The service was good and the wait was short. Especially for a Saturday at noon.. Spent about 20$ more for an oil change then my regular mechanic. Next time I will make an appointment with my local garage. I dont think I can afford to come back.

Was at store 45 minutes after they opened. There were 4 employees standing around, neither bay was occupied and there were no other customers. Asked for an inspection and was told I would need an appointment and that the earliest I could come in would be the following afternoon. Their phone greeting even says no appointment necessary!! No wonder why there were no other customers there, who would put up with this BS. EDIT: their responseThe state inspections are performed by appointment only to minimize wait time.. is untrue. They would see me immediately if I purchased something else like an oil change with the inspection. There were no other customers there and all of the employees were idle. Its bait and switch, they say no appointment needed on the phone, but show up and now you need to buy something.

My family and I have used Valvoline for years. That has changed today. I pulled up for an inspection to see the workers sitting in the customer waiting room, no customer in sight. Great, I thought, I ll be in and out for my TEN MINUTE task. The guy comes out and tells me I ll need an appointment. Really? Literally no one was doing anything. Just standing there staring at me. I thought he was joking at first. I don t wanna hear about covid or anything like that when the place down the road has no appointment necessary, and they ll be getting all of my business from now on. I ll never come back to Valvoline again and I ll be sure to share my experience every time the name is brought up.

They are good for fast oil changes but their managers dont agree on when you need an appointment for inspections and when you dont. I called to ask if I would need an appointment to get an inspection and oil change at the same time. The guy had to ask the manager and he said that I actually didnt need an appointment if I was doing both services. I get there next week and I am told that I always need an appointment for an inspection regardless of what else I get. When I did go to this place, they did good work, but the inconsistencies with little things like this make me not want to come here anymore.

They failed me for my window tint( which is factory installed) Went down the road and got inspected them minutes later and passed. Also the woman was rude

The woman working there doesnt have a clue what the requirements are for a nys inspection. She told me she could not inspect my truck if I didnt take my tint off. My trucks tint is 30% she did not even bother to test. I asked her how she would know how dark my tint is if she didnt even test it? She offered to test it after the fact. I told her I will be taking my business elsewhere because of her unprofessional customer service. I will never go back there. Avoid at all costs have had many problems with her in the past as well.
Pulled in and waited 20 minutes. A man came out and told me at that time they werent taking anymore inspections because they were short staffed. I replied well okay I wish I would have know that 20 minutes ago . His response was you definitely havent been here for 20 minutes maybe five. I said no Ive definitely been here for about 20 minutes. The guy I turned around and begin to argue with me as he walked away insisting I had only been there for 5 minutes. What upset me the most was it was only 4 oclock. And the shop closes at 7 and there were only 3 cars in front of me. This makes me think they arent just rude and combative with there customers but also lazy.

I will never return to a Valvoline, even if Im desperate. I was overdue for an oil change by about 100 miles, and heard that Valvoline can do it quickly and you dont even have to get out of your car. As someone who always went to a mom and pop shop, I thought wow, thats a great sell!. Long story short - I went in for an oil change, naively got coerced into an AC recharge, paid upward of $300, and drove away with a nonfunctional air conditioner. I had a local mechanic say that Valvoline overfilled the freon/refrigerant by about 25% which caused a pressure build up thus causing my compressor to over work and die. After a lot of back and forth, Maria, the store manager, denied my claim saying that the mechanic based his determination off of his machine - well of course he based it off his machine! What else would be use? She never provided details to the service, as she kept saying. Everything she said felt reversed and she was not able to explicitly explain any technical work. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND VALVOLINE TO ANYONE - EVEN FOR A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE. SPEND A LITTLE MORE MONEY AND TIME AND GO TO A PLACE WITH A !!KNOWLEDGEABLE!! MECHANIC.

I love it because no matter who is working, whether new or been there a while. Its always been good service and they have always been attentive to my need or my questions. I love not having to leave my vehicle. Good place, and I definitely recommend.
This review is for the owner. I have been trying to complete an inspection for the last three weeks. I visit three different stores and the inspections are not available between 7:30am to 10:00am, and after 5:00pm. Can you post in your website the times for the inspections? Your employees are screwing up with their bad customer service when someone arrived after 5pm.
I had a oil change done yesterday it s not something I normally look forward to. I can actually say that I had such a pleasant experience at the East Greenbush Valvoline that it won t be something I dread come spring. Maria the manager was friendly,informative and a pleasure to talk to. My truck and I are happy for the professional expertise shown by the amazing employees at this location! Keep up the good work. I had an oil change from Valvoline for the first time and it went great.Mostly due to Moses who was friendly, informative and efficient. The pricing was fair and they have coupons!

Have gone to valvoline for years, but went to their competition out of convenience again. The oil filter that jiffy lube had put on some 35000 miles ago was still there, with jiffy lubes date on it. I dont know how many times Ive been to valvoline, but my oil filter apparently was NEVER changed. That is part of the service I pay for. While they have been fast and courteous, I cant recommend anymore because they have not done the service I payed for! If they lied about the oil filter, what else has not been done that was paid for over the years? What else could have potentially been bad for my car? Cant trust.

Had an oil change here a few months ago. 2 weeks ago, I noticed oil leaking from my oil pan. Took my car to my mechanic and he said whoever changed my oil last had put the o-ring gasket in upside down, creating an improper seal. Good thing I caught the issue before any serious damage happened. Id avoid this location. They also charge $30+ more for an oil change than my trustworthy neighborhood mechanic.
The young gentleman that changed my oil I dont recall his name was very thorough, considerate and gave excellent service. Will definitely be going back!

Not my favorite as they are more expensive than Jiffy Lube down the street - but also not as busy. They also only fill you to the bottom of the dip stick fill line.
Manager Maria refused to perform a NY state inspection of my vehicle citing she cannot drive stick and she is the only NY certified inspector . How does someone become a manager of a car care facility and not know how to operate a manual transmission?

Ive been here twice and both times went smooth. Staff was friendly and didnt try to oversell and service. The wait time from other reviews has to do with only having 2 bays in this location, and the fact that someone can go in for an oil change, but have something like tire rotations and the like added on to it. I was told the wait time would be fifteen, and I was in there about 10 minutes later.

let me start this by saying I ve been a customer at this location for about 6 years now. I have not had much trouble until somewhat recently. I drive a stick and couldn t even get my car inspected I was given direct attitude by the manager when I asked why I was not allowed to get inspected. I then continued to get my oil changed and my tech that assisted me was Dalton he was beyond respectful and polite. There should Atleast be one person that can inspect stick.
One of the managers, a woman, is EXTREMELY condescending and behaves as though the customer has done something wrong when they bring a potential issue to their attention. They take forever to do anything at all. I dont at all believe that the customer is always right, however I do believe that, when a customer brings an issue to your attention that they were told about by the next person to do work on their car, you should NEVER 1. bad mouth the person or shop that did the work after you in order to try to get the spotlight off your shop and 2. behave as though the customer is lying and just trying to cause trouble when your shop POTENTIALLY CAUSED DAMAGE TO THEIR VEHICLE. The last time I was there was to get my car inspected and they added air to my tires. The next day, when I went to drive my car, one of my tires was flat and ended up needing to be replaced because their ended up being large amounts of damage done to the tire from it being flat. I will never go here again.

Brought my car in and no problem with pil change. Thought it was a bit odd they told me just stay in car...I should have gotten out so I could see the tech working below because he failed to propperly secure the skid plate...first came the rattling the first time I got on I 90 and when I pulled over I notice one of the bolts was missing. On my way back skid plate came off. They agreed to replace skid plate bit thus never should have happened

Extremely unprofessional group of employees. Save yourself the hassle and go anywhere else. Possible location convenience is not worth the lack of courtesy or respect that these employees offer so willingly. You can go less than a mile down the road to Midas and get an actual skilled mechanic to service your vehicle rather than someone who was hired from bagging groceries and collecting carts at a grocery store. Pityful.

I had a great experience here! Not only were the workers courteous and helpful, they found my missing registration sticker (stuck behind the glove compartment) without me asking. My inspection went well, and they changed my oil and let me know my coolant was low. I had them fill it, and when everything was done, my bill was still less than I thought it would be. I would go back!
If I could give negative stars I would, this used to be my go to place after tonight I will never go back. I have been going there for 10 years and never had service so bad, didnt even get the inspection done. Waited a 1 1/2 to get an inspection only 2 cars ahead of me. Tech said it would be 30 minute wait. Watching the techs they had no clue what they were doing, the one women checked the gas cap of the car in front of me 3 times, and then spent 10 minutes checking for something in the back seat????? they were moving so slow, 40 minutes for an inspection, finally drove away after waiting almost 2 hours, and they were still inspecting the car in the bay in front of me. I counted 5 cars that came in waited for a half hour and left. Its a shame this place used to be great, Used to be a great bunch of guys working there dont know where they went, but the people there now are......
Went in for an oil change, waited for a normal 10 minutes to enter the bay where I was greeted by a friendly man named Kyle. Upon review of my vehicle it was brought to the attention of the manager they were out of the filter needed to proceed. I waited 45 minutes with my hood up while the manager checked the system and went below. While this was going on the manager asked the other tech Dalton if he checked the air filter. Not twice but 4 times. After a 45 minute search for my required oil filter Kyle apologetically informed me they were attempting to get said filter from the Delmar store and asked if i would like to wait. Not once did the manager speak with me or apologise for the inconvenience. Her main focus was certainly on my air filter. I left without an oil change and wishing I could save Dalton from that mean and unprofessional manager. Come on vioc, auto zone is in your back yard... step up your game and replace that horrible woman.
