In my opinion this is the only place to fix my car, Sam and his team are very professional.

Payed $1000 for alternator and valve cover gaskets. When I brought car in it ran fine. Just picked car up and smoke is coming out from under hood and and engine is shaking and running bad plus belt squealing noise really bad. Can not believe they gave me the car back like this. Not even drivable.

Went to get AC checked and was told machine was down. Took down name & #, said they would call back... No one answers the phone and despite leaving multiple messages there was never a call back. Guess you dont care about new customers/business.

To all customers be verry careful with your vehicle, I took my corvette there for a engine overhaul and i totally regret it. there was not an engine harness connector that had not been ripped or torn. MY oxygen sensors wiring were let hanging on the exhoust melting my fron ABS sensor wiring were ripped and they died wiring around brake line so i would not see it. I had sent my rack and pinion to get rebuilt three days before my motor went bad and cost me $250.00 To rebuilt it and a day of labor to do it. when i took car to my job i lifted it on my shop lift and noticed both of my rack and pinion boots distroyed. not only i cant replace boots on car, i got to remove rack again becouse theres no space to change then on this model car. they also left transmission cooling lines that go to the radiator loose and ruined my new drive way just did last month stained, they broke part of my dash and lost one of my radio knobs and also broke my hood shock absorber. the day i drove my car home my serpentine belt busted becouse when they installed power steering pulley they didnt line it up right. this has been a terrible experience for me and also got car back with an airbag light that was not on before.these people work on comission and dont work with care all they want is to get paid and get you out the door. im a car tech myselt and regret not doing it my self. the reason i didnt do it is becouse i didnt want to keep the lift tied up a month with my car on it. please dont be another victim like me. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE.

Just fixed my daughter s flat tire, fast and no bs. She s ecstatic it got handled so quickly and painlessly.

I went to them because of good reviews, but o lord they were a rip off. They performed steps that were even not needed and charged me couple hundred for a job that was only worth 20 to 50 dollars max. If you don t care about extra charges then it s might be a good place to stop by but make sure you have extra money to waste I can claim with my credit card and you can issue me a refund because service you offered doesn t worth much? What you say?

I have used this shop in the past and was very happy but I moved to Bergenfield and had to find a more conveniently located mechanic which I did. But truthfully, I would rather make the drive and come back here because I have total trust in them over anyone! That s why I just brought my car in for brakes and rotors. Their prices are reasonable and Sam is a sweetheart! It s always nice to have someone personable that actually explains things so that you understand. He is awesome! Highly recommended!

Great, great place A very relaxed environment and such a pleasant group. Sam and his crew are very knowledgeable and friendly. Most importantly they are honest. Theyll call you over to see exactly what the issue is and explain what needs to be done to fix it. I found their prices to be very fair. Its not like dealerships or some other repair shops where you feel like youre being taken advantage of. I highly recommend. I bring each of our family cars there and have never had a bad experience.

This is the place you should bring your car if youre searching for somewhere where you feel comfortable speaking with the manager and explaining what youre looking for as well as receiving a fair service for your German vehicles (took my AUDI A6 there). Sam, the shop manager, and the rest of the employees treated me with respect the moment I arrived and listened to my concerns about my car. Sam is a genuinely nice guy who wants to keep the client satisfied while, of course, making a profit for his team, which is entirely reasonable. I am one of those customers that would rather to stay on site throughout the repair period and they absolutely understand it.

I am convinced that some benevolent force of nature led me to Sam to prove to me that honest auto mechanics arent mythical creatures and do indeed exist! Last year, I stumbled upon Three Brothers when my car maintenance light went on a couple of months before the oil change sticker on my windshield said one was due. My car is over ten years old, so Sam could have easily ripped me off for work that wasnt needed. Instead, he told me I just needed an oil change. Yesterday, my car engine started rattling and making grinding noises, so I brought it to Sam again because of the excellent experience I originally had with him. Again, Sam could have pulled the wool over my eyes. Instead, he thoroughly explained what he thought the problem was (the water tank) and quoted me a fair price. The garage was busy, so he also told me he probably wouldnt be able to get to it until Tuesday. Today, he called to tell me it was actually the accelerator, which would cost a lot less to fix, and told me he could have my car ready by the end of the day, three days earlier than he anticipated! Sam could have easily told me it was both the water tank and the accelerator and charged me more than the original quote, and I wouldnt have known any better. Instead, he did the decent thing, which is so rare. This place is a gem! I cant recommend them enough! My only regret is not having known about Three Brothers sooner.

This place is legitimate, I got new tires at mavis and realized they didn t even balance my rear tires, I came in without even making an appointment and they had me in and out. This will definitely be my new go to mechanic. The shop manager even showed me my tires on the balancer and the weights being added. Can t get more honest then that!

Hands down an amazing team

I had an emergency and I came from out of state on vacation. This place was amazing. They were close to closing and yet still helped me when 10 other places I spoke to denied to help me. My review mirror broke and was hanging. I didnt think they at first was able to help cause my windshield was cracked and it made it worse when applying pressure to putting the mirror on but these gentlemen help us when Noone else could. Highly recommend this place and if I can give 10 stars to them I would. They didnt even charge me nor take a tip. Seriously amazing people if I lived here I would definitely use them as my mechanic. Thank you again for all your help.

The prices are good and pretty affordable compared to other reputable spots. But the customer service is what I love here. They are honest and upfront. They never ever try to up sell anything. They will only recommend work that s absolutely necessary and nothing more. Wish they had better weekend hours. But hey, no big deal. So if you want good work done by honest people? Come here. I first went to those guys because they are conveniently located just a few blocks from my parents house. This was over 10 years ago and the owner s name was Sam - super nice, genuine and honest dude. Few years back, Sam moved away and the new owner, also Sam, happens to be an awesome, genuinely nice and honest guy. He tell you how it is and explains everything clearly even to a car idiot like myself. I have a good judgement of character and I was right about both Sam s. I ve been going to Three Brothers Auto every time I had a car issue and they have always done a great job and the price was always fair - compared with other places. One of their main mechanics - Carlos - does phenomenal work as well. I strongly recommend these guys to anyone and everyone who needs a mechanic. Funny enough, i am writing this review as I m waiting for a tow truck to tow my car there right now, at 2:40am on a Sunday. No one is there now obviously but I know they will have no problem with my car being there when they show up at work on Monday morning.

Sam & the Crew are amazing. From the moment my car was dropped on their doorstep by the tow truck, I was greeted by Sam and got great vibes. My alternator went out on me on my way to work. Sam did his best to find me the best most affordable price for the part. He even went out his way to give me a ride home while I waited for them to fix the car. Great experience at Three Brothers Auto Repair when I went to them on 6/5/2020 for a pre-purchase inspection on a car I was considering buying from a local used car dealer. Sam and Carlos are seasoned professionals, expert mechanics who take pride in their work and value and respect their customers. Carlos did a fantastic job of explaining everything he was evaluating during the diagnostic and road tests, and gave me all the information I needed to make my decision. Carlos and Sam both showed enormous patience and integrity in handling some problems that came up with the car dealer -- further proof these guys are absolute pros. Truly an excellent, reliable, and trustworthy team!

I bought in a 22 year old Jaguar xk8 for just a quick inspection. My primary concern was safety as it was an old car that hadnt been driven much. Sam made sure that Id been safe on the road, but here is why this place is amazing, honesty. Most places will not tell that they dont work in this car. Sam was upfront about not being an expert on the car and found a place nearby that worked on the car. Id spent a lot of time trying to find a mechanic that worked on Jaguars. Sam FTW!!

Been with my guys here for more than 4 years now. While every other shop wanted to repair everything but the kitchen sink, Three Brothers just wanted to fix the problem. Well, they did fix the problem and not by pressuring me to spend thousands fixing things I didn t need to fix. I ve been able to get my own parts on occasion and on other occasions they steered me in the right direction when getting particular parts. So far we ve done control arms, steering rack, and 50 other projects. Next we will gear up for brakes and rotors because it s about time for it but the one thing they won t do is hassle me to have them do it sooner than I am ready to unlike a few near by shops. What I am stressing here is that if you value honesty, fairness, and sometimes great conversations, Carlos, Sam, and Sam have all these things and more at Three Brothers.

We went looking for an engine rebuilt in our Ford ranger but later found out it was a misfire on two spark plugs. What good news that was. My jeep was having issues with wobbling when driving, and the muffler was not working. Sam took my car for a test drive then had it lifted to see the underside. He was very informative and took the time to explain the parts for me. Did not charge me after looking what was wrong with my car. I have never been to such a amazing place where someone takes the time to explain the issues and exactly what the parts are for. Theyre are honest mechanics, defintely recommend them!

To check my car after an accident they spent an hour. After a really thorough check, the only thing they found was to balance a wheel which I paid only 20$ for ( I had seen some charges 100$ for 15 min check alone ). They showed and explained every detail while they were checking. They answered all of my boring questions and I can be pretty annoying since I am a physicist. I have seen so many mechanics over the years and most of them were crooks. I was a bit skeptical since all of their reviews were so good but now I know it is because these people are genuine, honest, and they know what they are doing, you can trust them.

Even though I ended not getting work done here. They did help me. I had a nail in the side wall of my tire. The gentlemen who helped me did not take advantage of my no knowledge on tires and was able to give a recommendation on what to do next. I would absolutely bring my car back though for future work.

Walked in without an appointment with two slow leaks in two separate tires. They took care of both tires in about 30 minutes and charged me about 25% of the price I was expecting to pay. Couldnt be happier with the service.

Gas services are great! Went to have my ac filled at the mechanic shop portion and wasn t too happy with that experience. The machine didn t show anything wrong with the system but it only lasted one day.

Absolute scum of the earth... beware they will try to take advantage of you during inspection! They will say you need brakes , calibers and everything under the sun. After replacing the brakes unnecessarily because the pads were fine and a thorough inspection of calibers they still refused to pass the car for inspection! Please take your business elsewhere that will not take advantage and try to rip you off, Extremely unprofessional!

Came by three times. Three times guy took my number down. Three times no call so I can get the car in. Pretty sure if I showed up again he would ask me for my number again. If told he cant do work because theyre too backed up or whatever reason it would be no problem. But, thats just unprofessional and a waste of everyones time. This guy. Im sure you dont remember. Thats exactly the point. Nothing false about it. Youre not that special that I need to waste time false reviewing.

I ended up at Three Brothers because it was the first place I found when I caught a flat tire. The hospitality & customer service was incredible. For this reason, I decided to use Three Brothers again for new brakes, rotors and tires. The owner was very informative, honest about prices & did not take advantage that I was a female. (Who happens to know A LOT about cars!). If you are looking for a great mechanic who enjoys doing his work with a passion, gives honest prices, gives you detailed information on repairs, guarantees all work completed AND accommodates his schedule for you - then look no further. My search for a great auto mechanic in N.J. is over! After every visit, my car has not had any issues at all & runs smoothly. I am one happy customer!

A friend of mine recommended this auto repair shop to me. It s always difficult finding a good mechanic as sometimes surprise issues occur that need to be fixed. I m ecstatic to say that Sam is one of the most professional and honest business owners I ve met! Absolutely great guy because you can easily tell he has no intention of hustling or getting extra money out of you. Their work is excellent! I ve serviced both my cars and every time there have been zero issues. He changed my brakes and rotors on my Mercedes ML 350 and it saved me more than half of what the Mercedes dealership quoted me. I ve done many services there that include, oil changes, brakes & rotors, tire rotation & balance, and a tune-up on my Lexus ES 350. I ll never use another mechanic besides Sam.

I like to do what repairs I can on my car, but this time I was stumped, and everyone I consulted with was stumped. It was time to bring it to a professional, but Ive found it difficult to find a mechanic in the area whos both honest and a good diagnostician. Three Brothers has great reviews and is in reasonable walking distance, so I decided to give them a try. I have found my mechanics. In short order, they had it diagnosed and fixed at a very reasonable price. Nice people, too. Next time an issue comes up thats beyond me, Im definitely taking it to Three Brothers. Highly recommended!

I called here to ask if they did engine work. My wifes car blew a head gasket, or so I thought, and Im looking around for a place to fix it since nobody seems to want to open up an engine anymore.. I dont remember the guys name that answered the phone, but Ill never forget him. I spent more than a half hour on the phone with this man going over the problem on my wifes car. He was very busy while talking to me researching online whether or not my problem may be covered under warranty from the dealer for a special issue Honda acknowledged with their engines. All of this time hes helping me try to figure out how to get this car fixed by the manufacturer with no cost to me. Not once did he show any sign of thinking how much money he can take off of me. If this shop is so willing to help a complete stranger for free, what are they willing to do for a paying customer. I have yet to become one of those, but Im absolutely convinced that when I do I will be well taken care of. I will never look for another mechanic I can trust......I already found him.

Just had my brakes done on my Audi A5. The Mechanic was honest and straight forward with the prices. He did a great job.

Had a hassle free experience. Dropped the car in the morning before I left for work and picked it up late in the night after I came back from work. it was perfect. The car was repaired well, with no direct interaction of mine.

Edit: My previous review (below) was made 2 years ago. I still go to Three Brothers and send all of my family and friends there. Sam (the owner) is great. I honestly dont have a single gripe with this shop. Test it out for yourself. Take your car there for something minor and see for yourself how honest he is and how reasonable the prices are. I guarantee youll be going back there for all of your repairs/maintenance. Theyre relocating to 370 Paterson Ave in East Rutherford. Their prices are definitely reasonable and they keep you in the loop with whats going on with your car. They also dont treat you like youre an idiot when it comes to cars. They explain whats wrong and what theyre going to do. Also very honest. When I asked if they would replace run flats, they refused because they were worried about damaging the rim (run flats are very difficult to remove). Ive taken my car to another tire shop that wasnt able to remove the run flats without damaging the rim. I was furious because they didnt tell me they couldnt handle it from the beginning. You dont have to worry about any of that with Three Brothers Auto. If you dont believe me I challenge you to try them out for yourself with an inexpensive service/fix.
