Told them noise from bottom, they didn t check carefully, just eye view with flashlight, didn t touch the parts. Then asked me to replace shots, links, charged me more than $2000. But no any improvement. Even worse, the shots didn t show any shots absorbed. Just waste my time and money. This is my last time to have them repair my car.

Got a P0300 engine light problem with my 2013 Subaru WRX. Tried different mechanics but they were unable to resolve the problem. I took my car to SATO auto repair, I was ready that my car will stay there for few days since its difficult to resolve. Shigeo explained it clearly that my case is unsual and what needs to be done. Price is reasonable. Finally there were able to resolve my engine problem and i was able to renew my yearly NY car inspection My advise if you feel your car needs a lot of work. Give them a call ahead of time/set an appointment, and be patient. They will resolve the your car issue.

Sato is the best and most honest mechanic I have ever taken car to. My Acura MDX sat idle for a couple years and I needed to put it back on the road. First I took it to an Curry Acura for diagnostic and state inspection and I was given a list of what was wrong with my car and quoted $9,000 to fix it. I decided to look for another mechanic and found Sato on the internet. After reading the reviews, I decided to take my car there. I do not regret my decision. They checked my car and found nothing wrong with it. All I needed was oil, filter and wiper change. They did all the work and the state inspection for a couple hundred dollars, while Curry Acura quoted me $9,000. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE BUT SATO. THEY ARE THE MOST HONEST MECHANICS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. .

I ve used Sato a few times for my Volkswagen and now my Volvo. They do some really good work there. They specialize in Japanese cars but will work on most makes. Labor rates are very reasonable and they use quality parts. If you make an appointment you can probably get your car back at the end of the day for most repairs. They re very honest and won t sell you anything you don t need. I highly recommend going there for any repair and they ll get it done right.

This is a family business and the father and son tandem including their excellent mechanics are hard working, reliable, and most of all, honest and advises me if it s needed to be change immediately or not or if it s safe to drive or not. This place was great and they have fair pricing. They did a good job at changing the calipers in my car.

These mechanics are very professional and kind. They jacked my Jeep up, looked into the grinding issue, politely walked me through the issues. When they were done they told me I needed a new bearing on my rear left wheel and my wheel alignments were way off. The gave me the price of their service and told me that if I go with them they can order the part. They then told me that I may still have a warranty or an extended warranty on the vehicle and that the manufacturer may cover the fix. turns out I did!

My friend introduced me to Sato Auto Repair and Sato auto sales. I have used both over the past 5 years and been exceptionally pleased. Sato Auto Repair stands behind the car sales, which provides great peace of mind when buying a used car. The used car we bought for my daughter has been great. The mechanics at Sato are very experienced and take pride in their work. Recently I took my car in to check the drivetrain - after an emergency clutch replacement in CT. I was told by the CT auto shop there was stickiness to the drivetrain reassembly and to have it checked (but it was not urgent). Imagine my surprise and horror to discover at Sato, the prior mechanic had only slightly tightened a major support bar and I had a broken support at the left front wheel. Sato was able to tighten everything and replace the broken piece in the same visit. Will trust them every time.

The shop is observing Covid-19 guidelines to protect customers and the mechanics. The waiting area is small. You cant wait in there. You either wait in your car until theyre ready to work on yours, or you drop it off, or you wait outside of the garage until your car is ready. You decide what you want to do based on the work to be done. There is outside seating if the work to be done is of short duration. Its rustic, but this is what has to be in a pandemic. They still do good work and charge a fair price.

For reference, I had two of my cars serviced there. Read the reviews and was excited at prospect of finding a mechanic who was described as friendly, polite, and honest. Pros: First visit for oil change and state inspection was timely, dropped off but received a call it was done about an hour afterwards. -Easy to call and schedule appointment -Location is very convenient for me Cons: Sloped shared driveway and crowded. had to back the car out because no space at the time to turn car around. A month or two afterwards, took car to dealership for changing filters, etc. and was asked when I last had an oil change. When I replied that it was taken care of recently, was told by the dealer that some inexpensive part that is usually changed during oil changes was NOT changed at all. Before the dealership visit, I took my other car there for three services. Called ahead and made sure it was something they could do, dropped it off even called to check status of car and confirmed again the three services I wanted done. Hours later, I wasn t contacted by them but it was nearing their closing time so I dropped off my spouse to pick the car up spouse pays and asks me if I really asked them to do those three services. I confirmed that I did. Apparently Sato told my spouse, we didn t know you wanted the third thing done, we don t have time to do that Mind you, the car was dropped off when they opened, I verbally confirmed with them several times about the three services I wanted done (First when the appt was made, Again to two separate mechanics there when car was dropped off, AGAIN over thephone when I contacted them during service since I wasn t contacted with any updates. I arrived pretty much when they were closing and the result was that they barely had 2/3 requested services finished. Sato feigned ignorance about the third requested service item AND didn t even try to rectify their mistake. Decided I had enough information justify not utilizing this bodyshop again. Quite unfortunate as the location was so convenient for me.

Brought in my brz to get m front bumper repainted from a scratch from a small fender bender. Very friendly people with fair price, I went around the area to get price quotes from other places. They had a loaner car for me to use. Took about a week to complete the work.

I went to this shop today with the hopes of a finding a good mechanic. Instead I was treated like I was invisible. 8 men pushing a small car into a bay. After they were finish I wave to them for their attention. Everybody kept their heads down and acted like I wasnt there. There was a lady there so I asked her which one is Sato. She pointed him out. So I waves and called out to him. I moved when he was moved to get his attention twice. He used his phone as a tool not to service me. Your the boss, delegate your employees. That did not happen. Its was obvious my kind are not welcome. Should you be Female, or a Female of Color . Know this, your not welcome. Up the street is another shop call Brendans Auto Body. I was greated, and seviced with true customer service fashion in less then 10 minutes. Ive been driving since the 70s. So I know when a women comes to a car shop alone, service can be indifference and slow. So I was not mad. I just turned around and walked away. I was forced to give 1 star in order to write this post. It should be 0 stars

Sato has been my go-to shop for repairs beyond basic maintenance on my 11 Subaru WRX and 01 Lexus LX470 for the last 5 years. They are very familiar with both makes and nothing has stumped them. Recently, the owner himself humored my somewhat obsessive attention to odd sounds and went on two separate, extensive test drives with me to listen for a phantom front-end grinding noise on my 220k-mile Lexus, free of charge. Im the car guy at work down the road and I recommend Sato to everyone.

I live in Queens and found myself in some trouble with my Honda Odyssey sliding door while in Ardsley. the door got stuck and I used brute force to budge it, and inturn the door ened up in my hands. Not knowing much about the auto repair in that area I decided to go to the closest shop which turned out to be Sato Auto repair. From the second I walked in Mr. Sato assured me that he would take care of it no problem. Needless to say within hours the car was done and I was able to pick it up the following morning. Being that I am not from Westchester or White Plains I thought that I would easily be overcharged because I was in his mercy, instead Mr. Sato gave me such a great price well below what I had expected. I would recommend this shop to any family and friends that are around this vicinity. I call him honest Sato.

I spent $4000 on my 97 Acura Integra for motor work and auto body and still have nightmares about it. I specifically request my old parts and motor to be saved after being told I had to order a new motor and i told them call me to pick it up just to find they scrapped all of it. (Most likely sold them for profit.) The motor barely runs properly when they told me it was ready. The body work is non existent, you can still see old surface scratches under the new (already flaking) layer of paint and body dents that were untouched. Certain moldings I put on the car were not replaced and when I requested them back only 1/4 of the pieces I had were given back. Save yourself money and go elsewhere.

I replaced my bumper there for my Prius. Impressed by their quick service, very reasonable price and great quality of work. Highly recommended.
