Great service and fair prices for a change!

I needed a transmission oil pan replacement and was able to describe the situation over the phone instead of having to travel up from CP. Paul did an excellent job at gathering all the information, agreed to do the work, and communicated effectively. They ordered the part, called me when it was in, and gave me a time to show up so they could do the work while I waited. I came in, they got my truck on the lift, did the work, no surprises, test drove it, and I was out in about an hour. The owner, Al, was very friendly and pleasant to spend time with while I waited. It was well worth the drive. ABC is now programmed into my phone.

Brought my car for a transmission flush. Wasnt filled properly. Ended up replacing the transmission. My lawyer said I would have a hard time proving it, but they were the last ones who touched it.

Recommended by a relative. Quote was significantly less than another local repair shop for the same level of transmission swap. Definitely worth going here for transmission work.

I had an appointment set up because I assumed it was my transmission. The owner test drove my vehicle and placed it on the computer. He said it appeared to be something electronic in the motor sending the signal to the transmission and not the transmission itself. He was very open and suggested I bring it to a dodge dealership to have them further diagnose. He as well said he would keep my appointment for my later date just in case I needed it and asked me to call him if I didn t. He did not charge for the diagnostic. This is how you establish relationships. I highly recommend using ABC.

Al and the guys at ABC are awesome! Extremely honest and extremely helpful!! I have been using them for all my repairs for years, my entire family uses them! I have had trans repairs, motor work and drive train work done on all of my work vehicles! They have even stayed late after hours to make sure my truck was ready for work the next morning! We refuse to use anyone else and risk being taken advantage of or getting subpar work! ABC has the highest quality workmanship, top tier customer service and they are as honest as the day is long! I cannot speak highly enough of ABC Transmission and Al Cattone. My family found ourselves stranded here when my transmission decided to spring a leak. Al allowed us to roam his waiting room for four hours while we waited, with our dog. Simply amazing service!

My Transmission on my Dodge Ram crapped out on me. Al diagnosed the problem within a few minutes. I needed a replacement or a rebuild. I had one shipped in to him first thing on a Monday morning. I keep my cars and trucks past 300,000 miles, so having a place like ABC is absolutely necessary. Im picky and I like my cars to be 100% repaired right and reliable even if they are old. Al and his guys can fix just about anything, and theyll tell you when its not worth it anymore. The quality of work is better than dealerships Ive been to and the cost is lower. This operation is family run, so its no surprise that they treat you like family. First thing you should know is that they are transmission experts, but they do all types of repairs! Ive had ABC rebuild transmissions in 3 different cars, and Im really happy with the work! The transmission Al built for my Taurus and Civic have lasted longer than the original. I have no doubt the transmission I just had done in my Crown Vic will do the same. When I thought the transmission in my F250 was shot, he was able to service it and its still working great. He could have sold me a new transmission that day, but he was honest and fair. Al and his guys have fixed everything on my cars and trucks, from check engine light issues to electrical problems and wheel bearings and chassis parts. I use them for fluid changes and other maintenance items. Al & Debbie are there every day, and they know who you are and what you drive. Its so nice to be able to have a face to face conversation about what my truck or car needs and have all the options. Recently, Al recommended I buy used parts for a really old truck I had, and it saved me a bundle of money. He got them from a salvage yard in Texas, and they were rust free fixed the issue with the truck like it was new. Thats the type of out of the box thinking that sets this shop apart from the others. I cant recommend ABC Transmission enough.

I guess I was not the only customer who complained about suspicious behavior You said my truck had the wrong everything & you didn t want to fix it? I DON T EVEN OWN A TRUCK!! I have a completely different vehicle, so obviously I wasn t the only person you did this to. I have a bad feeling the reason you rushed me out is because you did something to my car that made it worse & when I can prove it, I will let you know. My original post: Very odd experience, wanted to get my Transmission fixed but they decided my car wasnt worth it because other things in my car needed to be fixed. Things that had NOTHING to do with the Transmission. Who are they to decide if i should get my car fixed or not? This car had sentimental value to me. Very weird that they decided for me that i shouldnt do it. Makes me wonder what they did to my car while it was there, the fact they wanted it out of the shop so fast. Very weird people

We had transmission problems while traveling to the Adirondacks from St. Louis, Mo. We had the most fortunate chance of finding Al on the Internet. Al was a straight-shooter and let us know the problem and he fought to get the price of the part we needed at a much better price that what he was initially quoted. We are from out of state. We were pulling our travel trailer on I 87 when we noticed smoke coming from our 2004 Silverado. We had an emergency and had to be towed. We called ABC transmissions. Despite a very busy schedule, Al told us to have it towed to him. He stayed late to check our truck. He let us park our travel trailer in his lot. The next morning, his staff worked on the problem immediately. He showed us what the problem was. Now we are able to get back on our way and enjoy our vacation. We are extremely satisfied. ABC transmissions is excellent in every way.

While vacationing in Lake George my reverse blew. My truck was towed to ABC transmission where Al gave it a road test and confirmed what my mechanic back home --200 miles away-- had told me. As others have noted, Al and his team are not here to take advantage of you. I brought a vehicle in convinced it needed a new transmission, Al showed me it didnt. Although they have not been able to nail down my intermittent electrical issue, they have also had a very practical approach, keeping my schedule and budget in mind. I have no reservations going back to ABC transmissions. If only Al did home improvement too.. :-)
