Cant buy most things without having to press a button to call an associate to retrieve your item & put it in a lock box. Insulting & degrading!!!!! Every single customer is treated like a thief!!!!! Used to shop there weekly, but only been there once in the last month. Thankfully, we have Amazon!!!!

Place tends to have what youre looking for. Never any staff on lanes if you have over 15 items. Customer service isnt familiar with great value guarantee and some staff need additional training.

All Walmarts are 50/50 anymore as far as what condition theyll be in and how customer service is. This Walmart, I prefer over the Washington extension Albany Walmart. Although, since theyve backed out of DEI, havent shopped at Walmart nearly as much. Cant say much about this location other than its definitely cleaner and the staff SEEM better than the one mentioned above.

Stay away from getting your car serviced at Walmart in Glenmont, NY unless you are ready, willing and able to commit to 3-4 hours of waiting even with an appointment even for the smallest of requests. They do not value their customers time. Choose to shop elsewhere.

Asked a random employee where a weird item would be. First try they sent me to the correct location.

Barely any lines open wait forever when there is a line can never find staff to open up the locked up items which is ridiculous at the items have to be locked up regardless. Theres really nobody ever there to help

Bought wipers wrong kind got a credit then another pair and wrong again returned got credit. Never received the credits on my bank account. Im out almost 100 dollars. Its 4 hrs away not like u can just run over there.

Horrible to get through to anyone. Lazy employees who do absolutely nothing. I had to call 10+ times to get through to ANYBODY. Then when I finally do they put me on hold. Like seriously these kids that work here are extremely immature and I do not plan on shopping here in the future. Horrible horrible place.

Just left there what kind of Walmart doesn t have their deli open at 5:30 you can spend all kinds of money to pay paying customers down but not to provide basic grocery store services avoid this low rent store at all costs

Ive asked 7 people if they can/ or know someone that could open up the case for the perfume, half didnt speak English and half ignored me. This is unacceptable, all i wanted was one thing!

I only give it Two stars because the pharmacy staff always provide a great service, but it seems like the items that are stocked are leftovers in the warehouse, and for the inflated prices they have on the items, checkout is a nightmare not enough cashiers, Walmart should know that there is a breaking point where the consumer will go elsewhere to shop!

Walmart+ service is a great option for people who dont have time to go to the store, especially the elderly. The only issue is that the minimum order amount might be too high for some. Thank you for the service.

The Walmart pick up at this store is the worse! I waited 30 minutes and then got an email that the order was canceled.

I always have a good experience at the Glenmont store. The store is clean and neat and the associates are friendly and helpful. I get my deliveries from there as well and they are always correct and delivered on time.

the only reason I can give this place more than 1 star is the automotive department, and the service manager there, who deserves 5 stars. every time I come for an oil change he is professional, kind and efficient. the rest of the store, not so much. 15 item limit on self check is ridiculous, especially when they dont staff the registers but have 3 people at self checkout to yell at you for trying. the produce is usually terrible. too much is locked up and it takes forever to get an employee - guess Ill just get it from Hannaford or AutoZone instead. at least the app is correct 80% of the time about what aisle something is located in!

It was good. Very few cashiers and was left to pack my nearly 10 bags of groceries without any offer to help from the cashier.

Wasting your time

Buy yourself a spare trailer of bags so that you never run out. How can I carry groceries if my truck is parked on another street?

I love coming to the Walmart in Glenmont but I just wanna shout out Siyear Mitchell for doing an amazing job helping me out in the electronics I was struggling trying to find something for my house and some games he did awesome assisting me what a great worker.

This is the current horrible state of the Walmart bathroom.

It is simply one of my favorite supermarkets where I find everything I need. It is very pleasant. If you have never visited it, I recommend that you visit it, you will be surprised.

No bags for groceries, bring your own. Bad for travelers like me who isnt used to bags not available or even for sale.

Everything I go to walmart in glenmont I have a bad experience lost my wallet and I call no one never answers right before holidays to and on top of that I go inside and they act like they dont care .wont help or anything

Grocery pickup at this location is HORRIBLE. I waited over 30 min for my order. Couldn t go inside (whole reason I did the online order) so I tried calling and go nowhere. Finally someone came out and they went to a person that was only parked for 5 minutes :/

My friend and I were looking at the roasted chicken, trying to find one to purchase. We noticed there were no cooking times labeled, so we were about to grab one to check when a deli employee suddenly spoke to us in a loud, passive-aggressive tone, saying, Do you want me to grab them for you? Do you want them now or wait 30 minutes for another batch? Feeling pressured, I took one from him but put it back shortly after because the interaction upset me. The rudeness was unnecessary and made the whole experience uncomfortable. I hope the staff can be more courteous in the future.

Terrible experience every single time I go to this Walmart. Workers are unfriendly and sometimes just straight up rude. Most items are locked up in boxes due to theft issues so you constantly have to ask for things to be unlocked. Half of the self check outs are permanently closed. The worst offense though is the grocery pick up. They are always out of items and take FOREVER to bring your order out. Not to mention the grocery pick up lot is constantly full of empty cars making it hard to even park and check in for your order. Drive the extra 20 mins to go to a different store!! It s not worth the headache of visiting this location.

Glenmont Walmart for pick up orders is absolutely horrible. This is my second experience where the order was not done on time and then when you come to pick it up you are made to wait 30-60 minutes for them to bring it out. If you call the number on the signs they will not answer at all. Many many cars waiting and clearly frustrated. Then when they come out they ask you to help unload to make things faster. Never again

Good, optical department needs some customer service training.

The problem is the new rule. 15 or more items cant use self checkout. They dont have enough slow checkouts working. I would watch people at the self checkouts who were obviously steeling by hiding things in their baskets. I dont blame Wal-Mart. Its the people who steel who ruined it for all of us. Were lucky now as eventually there will be no retail stores because of these thieves. Then we will all live in retail desserts, leaving us with only Amazon. The thieves will have nothing but charity to rely on.

If I could give this place negative stars I would Went in for Black Friday and was sorily mistaken to have cash in my wallet tried registers to be told to go elsewhere tried self checkout and was told to go elsewhere I pushed my cart back into the middle of the store and left empty handed

This store is absolutely horrible. Tried buying underwear for my son. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come over to unlock the case no one even showed up. 3/4 of the registers are blocked off I couldnt even get out of the store without going through a register even though I wasnt buying anything.

Prepare to wait an hour for anything that is locked behind glass. No one works here apparently

Absolute worst Walmart in the area. This was not my first bad experience here. I do not know how they are in business. Nothing is stocked. Everything is locked in cases. Self checkout is non existent now. Every employee has an attitude when checking out. Two employees at one register but no one helps with bagging. Just an absolute terrible experience all around. Management should be fired. A child could run this store better.

Out of stock for a lot of idems. Staff is rude. Slow check outs. Go only during daylight hours unless you really enjoy a contact high and getting mugged.

Tried to return boots I purchased from here 3 times, 3 seperate days. Only to be told that the systems are down all 3 times and they can not be returned. Then I learned that all self check out lines are now 15 items or less. Which would be fine if there were any cashier lanes open. There was 1 cashier with a line 6 people long , their carts overflowing with items. Then just to top it all off, they dont carry paper bags and the only reusable bags they had available were $5. This place is a joke and I will be avoiding Walmart at all costs from now on.

Can someone open up a register already!?! I went there for 5 items, it took me 40 mins imagine if I tried to do any appreciable amount of shopping there it would take hours!!! It also smells like weed everywhere and because of the degenerate shoplifters they have to lock almost everything up. Apparently mens boxer/ briefs have to be locked up or theyll even boost that! Never mind Ill buy new underwear online.

I was basically accused of buying alcohol for my underage nephew, just because he wanted to go shopping with me. They really need to teach their employees on customer service.

The automotive center rocks needed a battery put in the technicians were attentive prompt knowledgeable I m a very happy Customer this is a great place to bring your car !! Thank you to the young man at the desk he knows his stuff. Keep up the great work you do !! It shows .

I was reluctant to write this review because I do not like to disparage any person or business. I shopped for groceries and other items today in Glenmont (some items I did not purchase due to being under lock and key). Save yourself a trip and go to the Latham Walmart or Clifton Park, they are so much cleaner and have much better service. I checked out with a cashier as the self check lanes are now only used for 15 items or less (I used to always do self checkout for efficiency). After bagging all my own groceries in the checkout, the clerk handed me my change. It was at this time that I noticed she had what looked like fingernail fungus (her nail looked like it was falling off and really rough). I cringed all the way home. I just pray this is not something that is contagious and can be spread to unsuspecting people. This will definitely be my last time shopping at this location.

I have an anxiety condition and heart condition. I was shopping there today and started having an anxiety attack and needed to get out ASAP. I used the self checkout, even though I had an items over the 15 limit. When I was done and ready to leave, the cashier decided to try and embarrass me by loudly saying I should know better for next time - I was already anxious and she could have caused a heart attack with that careless remark. She could have just come over and said something to me personally, and I would have gladly explained it to her.

Literally no one in the new 15 or less self check out. Only 3 regular lines open with 8 to 10 in each line. Great job on the Customer service change

There s this rude employee name Sherleen. As I kindly asked her a question she answered with an annoyed tone!! VERY IMPOLITE and she was being rough with the items I was purchasing!!!

What the heck!!!! Sherleen or Sherlock or whatever her name is was so rude. She kept speaking in a condescending tone and had an attitude the whole time i was checking out. Not impressed with her customer service skills.

The 15 item rule for self checkout is a serious setback for my grocery needs. It s fine if I m only going for things I forgot or household items, but it doesn t work out for my groceries. Also, their electronics department never picks up the phone.

What a dump. 2 registers open at peak times plus 3 self check registers out of 20 or so working. People standing in line so long they are leaving full carts abandoned. Half a dozen illegally parked cars in the fire lane out front. Boy....I wish it would.

They have finally limited items to 15 in self check out.

Stopped in to buy a lego set and all the legos are locked behind glass instead of having the wrapped key sensors. Pressed the ask for help button several times, waited 15 minutes and no one ever came. Asked associates nearby for help and they all said they couldn t help. One finally directed us to customer service. Only one person working the desk so waited in a long line for her to finally page someone to the toy section. Waited another 10 minutes and no one ever showed up. Left the store without the $100 lego set. Several other people also left without legos because of them being locked.

The Wal-Mart location seems to be facing some challenges, possibly due to the effects of COVID or other factors. Although the store is making progress, the pace of improvement is quite slow. It can be a bit challenging to find associates when in a hurry. The maintenance of the store seems to be lacking at this time, and the friendliness of the staff has decreased. Its possible that this reflects the current circumstances. Despite this, I have chosen this location over others recently. It appears that the location would benefit from some additional attention and increased staffing, especially considering the evident supply chain shortages. There is still work to be done, and its clear that staffing shortages are an issue across the board.

Used to be my favorite Walmart and where I did all my grocery shopping, but no more. They have converted all the self check out lines to 15 items or less, so now instead of being able to quickly scan and bag my items in the order I want, I have to wait in line and for one of the two or three open clerks and then rush to stuff things in my bag in whatever order they decide to scan things through. Major downgrade.

I like the order online and then pick up option. The store itself has a good selection but i am getting tired of being asked for my receipt when I leave. If you dont trust me then put on more cashiers and take out the self checkout registers. While you are at it, if I have to scan my own items, I should get a discount. For those unhappy about being asked for a receipt when you leave, you dont have to show it. Just say no.

I just walked in to Walmart Tire and Lube Express in Glenmont at 5:17 pm for an oil change. The sign says they re open until 7:00 all the technicians were gone! The kid inside moving tires around says they leave at 4:00, so I asked him, then what happens for the 3 hours after that !? He couldn t answer me. What the hell is wrong with these businesses!? They have absolutely no sense!

This is the worst walmart i have ever been to. Employees smell like marijuana. Reek of it. They are never helpful. The self check out is now 15 items or less but they don t have enough cashiers working EVER. TERRIBLE

Very lazy work women, watching you when they have a job to do. One of the cashiers is racist against her own American people she prefers foreigners on her line told me she was closed but I did a Uturn there she was with five Middle East men on her line I will never shop there again.

Walmart Glenmont ny has gone downhill these last couple of years from employees to policies. Self checkout now is a max of 15 items and they will count and make you wait on a long af reg line with slow cashiers. Besides their policy of checking receipts is against the 4th amendment but lets not even go there lol just wanted people to know the new self checkout max bc they also have nothing posted stating this.

I hate this walmart so much. everytime I go there, I leave beyond annoyed.

Hi You know what happened to me today , they would not take my cash only debit or credit cards. I was also told that it s going to be that way from now no. So now not only do you get poor service and have to wait for some one to unlock stuff you have to have plastic . That is not acceptable.

Found everything I needed

They are racist!! We are latinos and since the moment we got there we were followed. We paid and they didn t let us leave they send us to a room and they scanned everything and found nothing we actually paid for more products and they told us to show or ids or were going to call the police when at the end they were the ones who scanned more products!

I went in at 10:00pm and they would not sell me anything out if the electronics cases.... Might be just because its impossible because maybe the department was closed but it looked like the person was there with the keys.....

They ve started putting locked cases over the shelves which makes shopping take at least twice as much time as it needs to. Very inconvenient and quite frankly insulting that you re treating your customers like criminals when it s been shown that locking up items doesn t even deter shoplifting, it just hurts sales. It also makes more work for the employees who are already stretched too thin. Im going to start going to another store that allows me to read the back of a package before i buy it without supervision

A very clean Walmart

Just wild how I ve had consistent service with straight talk for 4 years, now I can t even upgrade my phone without paying in full because I don t qualify for smart pay? Because of this i unfortunately will have to switch my service because my phone from straight talk is 2020 and is starting to mess up on me . Makes me sad to have to switch services .

Found all I needed. Very disabled friendly. Only wish that had more carry baskets. Chasier are friendly as well. My only negative is the fact that they dont have a lot of mobility carts and the ones they do have are in need of charging. Other than that great experience.

You Can never find an employee to help with anything at this store. 2 registers open. They want me to play cashier and do my own checkout. At least give discounts if we gotta do a cashiers job.
