Exceptional one day service on my Ariens snowblower including replacement of the friction wheel and two belts. Additionally, cable adjustments and overall lubrication to the machine. Joe’s easy going with a lot of repair experience and fair pricing. I highly recommend his repair services. Any future repairs I will be returning see Joe.
I was in a bind with needing a couple small parts for the snowblower and am glad Gifford’s was one of the ones that came up on Google. Great service, extremely helpful, and not in it to nickel and dime anyone. I will be using Gifford’s moving forward and recommend them to others.
After seeing the many positive online reviews, I decided to take my snowblower over to Gifford’s for some pre-winter repairs. Was not disappointed! Dropped off the machine at noon and although I told him there was no rush, it was ready two hours later. Not only was the service phenomenal, his price was very reasonable too. It’s awesome to know that I now have a reliable go-to guy for any future snowblower and lawn mower service needs! I highly recommend Gifford’s Small Engine Repair!
After waiting for 3 weeks for the dealer where I bought my John Deere mower to replace the blades, I called Gifford's and the blades were replaced and the mower returned in a single day. As the service was limited, Joe simply replaced the blades and had it returned to me the same day he had it picked up. I am grateful for finding his business.

Lawnmower stopped working so I rang 3 local large dealer/repair businesses and was informed that no one could even look at it for 2-3 weeks. An acquaintance suggested I contact Gifford, so I rang and he answered immediately and diagnosed the problem over the phone. He even knew exactly what caused the failure. Turned out it was a simple blown fuse. I replaced the fuse and it started right up. Joe wouldn’t accept any payment for the diagnosis and said he was happy it was resolved without me having to spend a dime. I highly recommend his professional and knowledgeable services and will recommend to everyone I know who needs small engine repair.
Joe was recommended to me last year. He serviced and did a repair on a snow blower and a John Deere tractor/mower. He picked both up and returned both the very next day. Fast forward to this June (2024) I had 2 pole saws that needed some repairs. I called and asked if I could drop them off. When I arrived (and expected to leave both for the repairs), he Instead, looked at both, fixed both and I was on my way in 15 minutes!!! Joe does an excellent job, he is very reasonably priced and the turnaround time is amazing! I have dealt with private and commercial businesses for over 20+ years, and all I got was super-slow turnaround time AND astronomical bills. All I can say is, I wish I knew about this guy a long time ago!!! I highly recommend him and can't thank him enough.

Im a new home owner with 4 acres to mow and bought my first ride on mower (a zero turn). Sunday, halfway through my mowing a castor wheel fell off and went under my deck, possibly ruining all three blades and cutting up the tire. I knew this was probably covered, either by Tractor Supply or Toro but assumed it would be weeks and be a pain to resolve, so searched google for someone that could fix and saw the excellent reviews and same last name (maybe related, we havent met?), so decided to give Giffords Small Engine Repair a try and hoped it would be an easy/affordable fix to replace the wheel and 3 blades. I called early evening on Sunday and was surprised that Joe picked up. He said he would be able to have someone pick up the mower the next day. After he called around, checked prices for the parts and how long the warranty would take, he realized the part is just not available within a reasonable price and repairs would take too long through an authorized dealer. Joe took the extra step to contact Queensbury Tractor Supply, advocated for me, brought a picture of the receipt and damaged part for them to see and they decided to replace my 4 thousand dollar mower completely free of charge! The only person I paid was the delivery person. I cant thank you enough Joe. You went completely out of your way and had my mower replaced in one day, without charging me for all of the time you spent!

Excellent service! Brought a weed whacker in that wasn t working right, and was told it may need a new carburetor, which I okayed to order. A couple of hours later I get a call saying it s all set and that he found a couple of minor problems, which he took care of. Less than half the cost of replacing the part. Very honest and straightforward. Would highly recommend.

Amazing service! I called freaking out that a bolt had come loose from my snowblower mid-storm cleanup. He was able to pick it up, service it, AND bring it back to me. IN THE SAME DAY. Will definitely be going back to him come spring to service my lawn mower.
Joe and Terry were both very kind and helpful to me during a very stressful morning of snow removal. Joe had done a repair the previous week and did a great job with excellent turnaround time. But this morning they both were very nice and helpful with a follow up problem I was having with my snowblower. It s great to have a reputable repair man, but their compassion and help is what really stood out today.

This guy sold me a lemon. It has to be jumped to start. I explained that to him and he said to wiggle the wires. I didnt pay to wiggle wires. He said he would come by and hasnt been here. He has now blocked me and my wife. Small engine con man.

I brought my tractor there the one I left what only around a little while and then I paid him $100 I had to pay $150 to get it fixed it works fine now I will never bring anything there again it is not my first time
Service was great, advised us of any problems before performing any work and explained why necessary. Joe tried to keep the cost down and turn around time was excellent.
First snow of the winter 20/21 came on Oct 30. This motivated me to get my snow blower serviced. I had intended to do this weeks ago but never got around to it. I wasn t sure who to call so I googled small engine repair . First call to another number was not answered and no voice mail. Called Joe as he was close to my home. He answered the phone and all my questions. He picked up the blower about an hour later around 4:30pm. I asked for a full service. He returned the blower next day at about 1 pm, fully done. Cheerful, excellent, speedy and local service. Joe said to call if I have problems. Cash charge for full service was $150 plus $25 for local pickup and delivery. I will use this company again for my mower and blower.
