High Mills Garage in Glenville

My vehicle is an older (2005) BMW that I ve had periodically serviced by a dealer and various independent foreign car shops at considerable expense and with varying results. Have been looking for a skilled and trustworthy local shop. High Mills Garage had been recommended to me several times by family and friends so decided to try it for a NYS inspection. They did that quickly but discovered and oil leak at the pan well beyond a loose drain plug. They were able to repair it in short order at a very fair price. Also the staff from reception to mechanical were very professional, friendly and kept me appraised at each step. I think I ve found the shop I was looking for and will for sure be back .

Recently relocated to the Glenville area and my car was due for a August inspection.After Google searching and then calling several other garages( that were booked until Sept) ,I called High Mills and was given an appointment for the day I requested.The woman who booked my appointment was very pleasant.The day of my appointment,I dropped my car off and was pleasantly surprised to find a clean office and clean ,comfortable waiting area .I received a text later on that morning visually explaining my inspection which was something Ive never experienced before and that is a great idea.Upon pickup, I had the pleasure of meeting Glenn and he explained the findings to me which was nothing more then a rear window wiper in need of replacement .So glad I found High Mills and feel confident that my service needs will be met !

Had 2011 Ford Explorer reviewed by High Mills Garage (HMG) for various issues. HMG identified many issues with the subject vehicle and provided an estimate. HMG also independently looked up the retail value of the vehicle. HMG recommended the vehicle be sent to the junkyard vice repairing it since repair costs would be greater than or equal to the retail value. I thank HMG for their honest and expert review of my vehicle. It prevented me from wasting nearly 4,000 dollars. Now I can buy new truck which is what I was hoping for anyway.

We take my 2017 Ram and 05 Subaru both to High Mills and the service is exceptional. 170k miles on Ram and 100k miles on Subaru so their not spring chickens.They never give you the run around on what needs to be done as far as repairs or maintenance. Price is better then most big garages or chains that just want to empty your wallet.They also look ahead if they see a part thats getting close they let you know and don t just say it needs to be replaced. I ll never go anywhere else.

Service is excellent but prices are high. A car inspection and oil change was around $135. This included $3 to top off windshield wiper fluid, which I didn t need as I have a bottle at my house and top it off when needed.

High Mills Garage was such a big help after my accident. They discussed exactly what needed to be fixed for it to run well, and ordered only what I wanted replaced for cosmetic work. The work was done much quicker than I expected. I highly recommend them!

Prices seemed a little high but got my Jeep fixed in a timely manner and they are knowledgeable and told me exactly what needed to be fixed without trying to up sale me or telling things need to be replaced that did all in all I would trust them and go back if I need further repairs

My car was in and out of the shop in two days. Needed an oil change, winter tires switched to summer tires, new wipers and wheel bearings replaced. Price was comparable to any other auto shop. Front desk and mechanics were helpful and explained everything I needed to know. Convenient after hours pick up. Only thing that was odd is they filled and charged me for windshield wiper fluid, which I didn t agree to nor did I need because the week prior I topped off the windshield wiper fluid myself. I know they also did this to the friend of mine who recommended the shop to me. Otherwise, I m content with their service.

Tire plug

Gave me detailed information on what they were doing and asked before work was done, timely with phone call contacts, could easily have told me there were a lot of things wrong with my vehicle and done work I didn t need but on the contrary said my high mileage car was in good shape (I brought for a tuneup and checkup after problems with another garage), didn t try to get me to have work done I didn t bring it in for, and even suggested I might not need some work I had asked to have done (changing spark plugs, they specifically asked for the go ahead before doing work). My car now runs like new and I m driving it with confidence, not afraid I ll break down and not afraid to drive long distances like I was after repeated visits to another garage for stalling problems they kept trying to fix.

Ive taken our cars to High Mills for more than 30 years, always a good experience, very trustworthy. Never had a problem they keep our car running top notch. Ready for 30 more!!!

Im very happy with the new tires that High Mills recommended. High Mills also improved the brakes with an adjustment, which was better than replacing the calipers (other place wanted to do that). Communication was good.

High Mills Garage is a garage I trust. It has taken me years to find a place that I feel confident saying that about. They have performed inspections, installed new brakes, tires, oil pan, changed my oil, etc. I have never had an issue with any of the services theyve provided. They are kind and courteous. I have a 2002 Buick that needed a bunch of different stuff done. Not only did they fix my issues but pointed out some work that may need to be done down the line. Never did they try to talk me into unnecessary work to be done. I had taken the car to two different shops in the burnt hills area. With mixed results. The other shops never diagnosed the problems accurately. Now I m going to HMG because not only a honest shop but very thorough. Couldn t be happier, now I m strictly going to HMG . A repair shop you can actually trust and feel good about going there.

I couldn t wait to purchase it after the lease period so I could leave the dealership service/repair in order to return to High Mills. They stand by their work. High Mills recently changed ownership. Initially I was concerned when Mark retired and sold the business. I have no concerns at all after several very positive experiences. The new ownership is excellent. Extremely thorough, completely honest about the things that are wrong with your car, options to remedy the problems, and advice as to which are worth it and which are not. And they really look closely to make sure you have a heads up on what to expect down the line as the car ages. They have my trust every bit as much as Mark did.
