Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Glenville

So I reluctantly pulled up to the doors about 20 minutes before close, feeling terrible about doing this, but just discovering about 15 minutes prior, that my oil was so low, that it was an immediate need to get this done asap. I sheepishly pull into the pen and and immediately was greeted by Joseph with absolutely no hint of anything but warmth and professionalism. I apologized and asked him if it was too late to get an oil change today, and without any hesitation or sense of judgement, he reassured me that there was plenty of time and put my concerns to rest. The crew worked as a team and I really got the sense that they were a real team, and took pride in their work and got the job done with graceful efficiency. Joseph, Ronald and Brady are quite the crew, and with Joseph at the helm, I can see why. Please make sure that they are treated well and given this feedback, and know how valuable they are in a world where that kind of service and interaction is unfortunately a rare occurrence.

I stopped in today for an oil change and NYS inspection. Their customer service was outstanding!

The assistant manager broke my air filter housing unit. They will not pay for the part or reimburse me for it. As I have a written statement from the assistant manager that he broke that part.

Yeah so a friend of mine went in for service, and while working on her car, the mechanic broke a part to their car, and said youll refuse to pay for it? Really? Out these losers on blast and never go there. Ridiculous....

Hard to believe that three out of three of the last times I have gone here I have been turned away. The first two were my filter apparently being out of stock, and the last was them being out of oil. If you actually want your oil changed I would recommend going somewhere else. Hope this helps!

Fast and friendly, my go to when I need an oil change. They always try to help with any issues you may have.

Caleb the assistant manager and his crew drained the coolant out of my car, made me have it towed to the dealer to have a missing hose replaced where I was told there is no missing hose at all, they just broke the cap when pressure testing the system. Caleb took zero responsibility for the mistake and would not pay for the unnecessary trip to the dealer. Horrible customer service in my opinion.

Pauly did my oil change today. He was wonderful, he took the time to learn how to pronounce my name and used it throughout the service. He was knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. I have to say this is the first time I can say an oil change was an uplifting experience and I left feeling good about the day. Ill be going back next time.

website says no appt needed, same tgi g when you call and get automated voice no appt needed.. show up to do an inspection employee says not doing to day short staffed no problem say doing this day and this day no appt needed. you show up that day and boom appt needed. Try getting everyone on same page will not go there again

This place will do anything to upsell a service. Literally just got brand new tires on my car and they kept trying to force me to get a tire rotation. I would have if I needed it. Always something different when I come here thats why I dont plan on coming back after this last visit. Know your vehicle. Dont let these guys try to sell any service other than what you came in for.

I mean... its a place where high school kids can go to work. Maybe college kids. Service is $110/hour. Full synthetic oil at advanced for $36/5qts. Here? Its $113 for an oil change. Replaced oil, oil filter, engine air filter, and inspection, and the bill came to $165. I was able to find a $10 off coupon. Seems like a rip-off place, in my opinion. Some probably are willing to pay for this type of service. If my wife hadnt waited so long to tell me she needed the inspection, I would have had the garage around the corner do it for me. That bill would have been about $60-$70 for all of this.

Went in for an inspection (2022 car). Two free bays, but was told to schedule an appointment after the person responsible for inspections was asked if he could pull it in. Not so instant afterall...

Brought my car in for an oil change they decided it needed new air filters. Turns out they put the air filters in upside down causing sensor malfunction and 1000 dollars worth of damage after breakdown hundreds of miles from home. Nissan dealership was in aww of how stupid someone could be to do something like that. Would not recommend this place to anyone, clearly they do not train employees properly.

The employees were great, very friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. Downside is I had my own oil and filter and still got charged over 60 dollars thats just ridiculous. For that reason I wont be going back there and would not suggest going there unless you want to spend more than double on your oil change.

Made an appointment here to have my NYS Inspection done. I showed up about 5 minutes early day of the appointment and was told they would be unable to inspect the car as they were getting new NYS Inspection specific computers/printers installed. The manager on duty told me to come back the next morning and they would fit me in as this was out of my control. Showed up the next morning, about an hour after they opened, and was told they wouldnt fit me in that day, but would only reschedule my appointment, and that the next available date was the middle of the following month. Very disappointing and unacceptable customer service.

Do not go to these places. I go to a mom and pop services center, and its $35.00 for an oil change. These places are a rip-off. They rob you because you get in instantly. No, take the time and get an appointment and save yourself a ton of money, and maybe, who knows your car!

Came here for the last 3 weeks. Trying to get my inspection done. Was told the machine was down everytime. To come back. I called Valvoline. Spoke to an operator who told me the machine is working. They made me an appt for 930a. I showed up 10 mins early. I was told by the assistant manager Joe - they don t have my appt. They don t do appointments, only by the 1 hour. At 9a, 11, 1p. This location is a joke. The service here is absolutely unprofessional. I ve been a customer with valvoline for over 10 years. I recently moved closer to this location. Worse experience ever at any valvoline I have dealt with. I wouldn t recommend getting any NYS inspections here. They just waste your time.

Longest wait I have ever had at this place. Took 1hr 40mins to get my oil changed. When I arrived, there were 3 cars inside, myself and one other vehicle outside. I assume they were shorthanded for some reason. Thats why I gave them 3 stars instead of 2.

My car was brought in for an oil change by my son. He was quoted 69$, he was subsequently offered an engine flush. He did not know what that was, and said ok. I preset him for up-sales of filters and wipers. Never did I imagine I had to warn him that they would SELL him an engine flush. When I called back to talk with the manager I got the assistant manager who said that they did not up-sell him and agreed to the service. Needless to say, the assistant manager and I didnt not have a cordial conversation. She wished me the day I deserved. This was the first time my son had taken a car in for an oil change- it was not a positive experience. This reminds me of the ole days when a garage offers to replace the muffler bearings or the kinipling pin.

It is in their policy that they as a company are not responsible for oil pans, plugs, or anything oil related on cars that have over 100k miles. However this is not common knowledge and if it were, I would not have taken my car to any of their locations. This is a cautionary tale as in one visit, I had both my oil pan stripped and my rear windshield wiper motor gear teeth broken so I left the garage with a broken rear wiper and a crippled oil pan. Thank you Valvoline, and excellent job staff! Im excited to see what else you do!

Line was a bit slow but really like being able to stay in my car the whole time.

If you want to get robbed, come to this location. All I asked for was an oil change, thats it. The geniuses that work here started drilling things out my car. Telling me the car needs this and that. The manager kept stressing my oil change was $129 because the car used used European oil. Youd think the oil was shipped to this location straight from Germany. Your attempts to try to upcharge people are pathetic. Its a 20 year old Volkswagen..why would I need to all this stuff on it.? Why would I need to replace belts and do all this major work on a beater car. Crooks.

You just lost a customer. When you take your car for an oil change you should do it correct the first time .if you cant then you shouldnt be working on anyones car.next time make sure you put all the parts back where they belong .and the oil should stay in the car not drip out on the road.im happy the 35 dollars I spent is now all over the road and my garage

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is the bomb! I was in the Glenville area so I decided to go to this one instead of the normal one and theyre just as efficient friendly of all the other ones Ive been to. They do a great job and they are thorough.

People were friendly.But they didnt have tool to change oil and filter for land rover discovery sport se.And even they didnt close properly from the bottom of vehicle.Due to that our vehicle cause too much windy noise.before they opened our vehicle down cover. Very bad if someone called you on phone to make sure that you can,do oil change for every company first to make But on spot they refused to ch

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Extremely rude. Will never go to this location again. Was pulling into bay and the guy was screaming at me that I wasnt listening to him so I backed out of the bay and will never use valvoline. Again. Don t scream at me for not listening to you when yo aren t giving clear instructions very unprofessional make sense as to why there was only 1 car at the location.

FASTEST oil change I have EVER had. They were very honest and told me my oil was fine and I could get away with not changing it for a while, I told them, do it anyway so I dont have to think about it. It took them maybe 15 minutes to do the whole thing.

They were nice and got the job done quickly, but they left a bunch of oily hand prints all over my car around my wheels. I am not a fan of that especially because I baby the paint on my car. Probably wont go here again just because of that alone.

Just a warning for the those looking to get an inspection done at this location. Make sure you call first, they stop doing inspections at 4:30 even though they are open until 6. I found this out when I needed an inspection and I arrived at 5, instead of asking if I would like to make an appointment for the next day, he just stared at me. Not sure what the staring was about, it was like a real life dropped call. I ended up going to Jiffy Lube in Clifton Park and they were able to help that day.

I stopped in to get an inspection not knowing I had to be there at a certain time. The young man that came out to speak with me was rude! He seemed so upset I even stopped. I usually go there for my oil changes but I m going to get my inspection someplace else. He should learn how to speak to a customer!!

Stopped in on a Sunday morning, after arriving in the area from a long road trip. The tech that greeted me was rude after I asked for a top off service and proceeded to ask nastily top off what? And I had to explain to him that I m a regular customer and I was stopping in for my one free top off service. He proceed to tell me you know you ll have to pay for that and when I questioned the price he said a quart of oil. I told him I doubt I even need oil but tires pressure and washer fluid and he snaps back and asks what the mileage is and starts writing it down on the windshield. I decided not to have the service done there because the guy was so rude and I backed out and went to Speedway to check my own stuff. I didn t need anything except washer fluid. I m not sure why the top off service has become such a problem; I ve been a customer of here since I started driving and they never gave a problem until the last 5 years. Other locations have also gotten kind of rude when I asked for this service. It was the service I liked most about this chain but I m starting to enjoy Valvoline less because of the problems with the top off.

This was our first time getting our oil changed there, and we were so pleased with everything, they were so professional and very pleasant, that will be our new place to have our oil changed from now on, prices very reasonable and they are very good at what they do.

From the assistant manger who greeted me, to the manager who happened to stop in on his day off and ended up assisting because they were busy to Eric who performed the maintenance on my car, the service was extraordinary. I live in Saratoga but will travel to this location from now on. This kind of customer service and honesty is hard to find and these gentlemen went above and beyond!

Unfortunately after the oil was already drained I found out their prices and they insisted on showing me the air filters which I did not request being removed. It was fast but they are rigid, expensive and use high pressure sales. Will not return.

I have a business, therefore have multiple vehicles(7 currently) on the road at one time. One of the trucks had an Interstate battery that was 3 years old and shot. I called Interstate and they directed me to this Valvoline location as it was one of the places that carries that brand. I get there, it fails a cell test to prove it s bad but they won t honor the warranty. First, he said I had to purchase it there originally. That is false. Interstates warranty on that HD battery is 2.5 yrs full, prorated you to 6 yrs. Drove to Interstate supply in Albany, they honored it without problems. They also said they have had many issues with valvoline and Firestone. I will not be bringing any vehicles there in the future

Very friendly staff, very knowledgeable, even gave me a tour of the work area. I know they sold me the most expensive oil because thats their job, and I had a little extra to spend so I took it, be wary whenever you get your oil changed though, they will try to sell the most expensive one!

My boyfriends car passed inspection about a month before when it was under different ownership, when he got the title he had to get it reinspected. They failed him for a bad tire, but when we went to replace it the people at the local shop said it was totally fine and should have passed! Wasted 200 dollars replacing them just to get a new inspection ticket. Wont be going back.

They didn t put my oil cap on after servicing my vehicle before I drove to DC!!!!!! Unknown amount of damage as my vehicle spewed oil all over my engine before I realized what had happened, a week later.... WOULD NOT GO BACK HERE Also, there service techs were rude and appeared rushed, which may have contributed to the problem.

Been coming to this location for a few years. Sometimes their mechanics were hit or miss, I remember one time they rotated my tires and left big dents in my hubcaps! HOWEVER, the visits over the past year have been very easy and professional. Lots of calling out their safety checks and always going through everything with me (without talking down to me, as some places do with women). Theres one mechanic (an asst. manager I believe) that is a big chatty Cathy and has a great way with the customers. He has a gift with the gab and does whatever it takes to make everyone smile. He will also try to talk you into extra stuff but, cmon, all mechanics do that. After a rough patch, this location is one of the best in the area now. Highly recommend.

Dan the manager was great but the old guy with the glasses was rude and just had no customer service skills. I guess thats why they dont have him working on vehicles. I would keep him as far away from customers as possible. He will be bad for the valvoline brand.

I ASKED TO SEE THE COLOR AND HE HANDED UP THE OIL FILTER AND TAPPED SOME OUT TO SHOW ME THE COLOR , WELL WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU EXPECT TO SEE COMING FROM THE FILTER ?.THEN I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE $69.99+ AND ADD ONLY A FEW MINUTES TO THE SERVICE TIME. I CHECK MY OIL LEVEL EVERY FEW WEEKS AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN DARK. WHEN THE TECHNICIAN CAME IN TO SHOW ME THE DIP STICK I ASKED HIM WHY IT WAS A NORMAL COLOR , HE SAID IN FEW DAYS IT WOULD DARKEN CONSIDERABLY , A WEEK LATER IT WAS THE SAME COLOR AS HE HAD DISPLAYED AT THE SHOP ON THE DIP STICK. I WAS ALSO TOLD I NEED AN AC CHARGE A CABIN FILTER AND A AIR FILTER , IF I HAD ALLOWED THEM TO DO ALL SERVICES IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ADDITIONAL $271.98 BUT AT THAT POINT , NEEDED OR NOT I JUST WANTED OUT OF THERE. HOW MANY PEOPLE JUST BELIEVE WHATEVER THESE CHARACTERS TELL THEM?

If you think your going in for just a oil change your wrong. They check your freon level (its always going to be low.) Then, they check your air filter (its always going to be dirty). They always find something wrong with the car when you bring it in no matter what. This happens at most Valvoline locations.

I just returned from an oil change. From the reviews, I was expecting something unpleasant to happen. When I pulled in I told them I wanted an oil change. The attendant said, OK - do you realize that your inspection is over due? I thought AHA! this is where theyll get me. I said uh...I was unaware...do you do inspections? He answered Why yes, yes we do. I replied No thanks, just the oil change please. At which time he said Ok, please pull in here. Wait a minute! Where was the high pressure sales pitch to get an inspection which would lead to many impassable but fixable ($$) problems? I figured they must be planning to get me on the synthetic oil up-sell. They never tried. I was done in about 20 minutes at the advertised price. Huh. I cant give them 5 stars because I know they must have gotten me somehow, I just cant figure out how.

The service was prompt as always. I understand that one of the duties of the VIOC personnel is to attempt add on sales. I like the service I receive when I stop there so I also understand it is up to me to accept or decline the added service offered. I have been in sales all of my life so I get it. $83 for a 6 quart synthetic oil change, it is was typical quick change place. Recommend air filter change when it is barely dirty. At least they didnt do the shady rub the dirty finger in your transmission fluid and recommend it needs to be changed

i was in on 12/22/14/ it took tec 25 min to get me in then 25 more min to get oil change an then the sales man tried to get me to up grade oil witch was 74.99 then said i needed my power stering done ask how it worked he tells me they suck it out an but new in no chemicel just suck out put new in .well i could do same with turkey baster an get same resalts my self an not pay 70.00 .then said i need tire rotation agin i asked how they do it an sales man said front to back .well i have been a tire service guy at a local shop an that is improper way .u are supost to cross them so tred pattern changes the way they do them is waste of money 29.00 for wrong way to be done thats a scam in its self.the last thing the sales man trys to sell me transmission flush an agin i ask how they do it at time sales man said we suck out the old put new fluid in an we do it a few times to clean it good .i ask do u change the screen he replayed no so agin 149.00 for u to not do it right this place is a rip off .should get shut down for lieing to customer an not doing proper services i my self will not return or my family members as i will not let them be trick in to but unusefull servies an i noticed on way out they have nerve to say on there wall trusted well i dont think so
