This morning Sept 12th I got up early to get an oil change at Walmart, something I have done on many occasions without making an appoint. When I got to the auto center there was one or two cars in the parking lot and a coupe in the bays for service. When I went to check in I was told I now needed an appointment and the next opening was on Monday! Except for the new tires I purchased at Walmart which I will be forced to get rotated and serviced at Walmart, you clownd have now lost me as a loyal customer.
Great customer service !! shoutout to Paul!!! Needed my battery replaced because i had the wrong battery installed by someone else without knowing and due to that I did not know the correct size battery my car (2015 mercedes c300)needed and that model has like 6 different battery choices based on where the battery is located, The manager Paul suggested we could measure the the slot for the battery to see which battery would most likely fit, due to their policy they cannot install a battery if they don’t know for sure what the correct battery is , So i chose the bigger battery of the two that would fit my car and decided To install it myself , But Paul was very helpful and lent me tools , a few pointers which really helped to get the job done, it was in fact the correct battery I needed and wouldn’t have been able to get this done in such a timely fashion without his help .
Just don’t. I had an appointment at 6 my car didn’t go in till 6:45 and they somehow managed to put 4 tires on in 12 mins. They do not take the time to do the job right the first or even second time. Within 2 days my one tire had gone flat. Brought it to the altamont Ave store and those jackals took it back and apparently fixed the flat. I can’t be sure because the tech left no comments and had gone on break and I have no idea what was done to “fix” the issue.
Oh , where do I begin. I scheduled a tire change a week before I planned on being in the area. I did it online, and about a day or so later they canceled it because they thought it was a fraudulent transaction.. i tried to call the department several times but no answer. I got there on Friday evening at around 5:30-6:00 pm, and spoke to the department manager. I told him that i needed to have new tires put on the front, and i needed an inspection. I was informed that they did not do inspections. Fine. I said i had had an appointment with them for sunday, but it got cancelled. He told me they had a few openings, but none for the times that i needed. I asked if they still had my appointment set up for 10 am. He double checked and said the time was still blocked off. I asked if he could just keep the tine for me as i was going to have to find another place to get my inspection done after. He said sure! So i checked with him again that it was all set (like 3 times) for Sunday at 10 am. I go about the business that i had for the rest of the weekend, and then show up on Sunday at 9:45 (i like to be early) i wait patiently for the clerk/worker that was there to finish with his other customers and tell him i have an appointment. Guess what... yup. No appointment. He said they were booked full and that they could do it but it might be 2 hours. I said i was just in here friday checking to see that it was set. He said we can get it done, but you might have to wait a bit. I said ok. 5 1/2 hours later, nothing had been done at all. No movement. Nothing. When i talked to the.clerk, he kind of kept nervously smiling. I asked why it hadn't been worked in and asked who the person i had spoken to on friday, as I now had to fund someplace to get 2 new tires before I left for my drive. He told me the dept manager was the one i spoke to. He kept acting surprised that i had spoken to him in person. This is the second time this store has messed up my order. The last time they sold the tires i ordered to someone else before i got there, and had to use them for mine instead. I am not one to really lose my cool, but this was absolutely rediculous. On many levels. I will NEVER use any Walmart Auto again, and I really hope no one else that i know will as well. If i could do zero stars, i would have.
I received excellent service here. Had four tires replaced and had my oil changed. I loved that they actually have counter staff at this tire center. The phone is answered right away and I made an appointment then when I got there they were ready for me.
Mounted tires I brought in. No leaks. Had to wait a bit when picking my car up but not a big deal. Certainly a better deal than other places that would charge nearly double for the same work.
Came here today to buy new tires and have them installed. I also purchased the headlight restoration service which I didn't know they offered (only $25). This was done quickly and it was reassuring to see them test drive before I got the car back. The headlight restoration was done exceptionally well considering the price. Only complaint here is there was residue left on the car from sanding and buffing the headlights. Honestly though, for $25 it was more than I expected. I'll gladly get the same services in the future.
Went in to get my battery checked after indicating of a "slow start". Ended up that it was still good and didn't need replacing. Check took a little more time than expected, but it was free.

Tire change took a little over an hour, which was expected. Walked around to waste some time. Zero problems with the work, great job guys.
The mechanics are the worst. They walked away from 3 customers stating they couldnt change a tire with only 1 guy working because the other guy had to go to lunch at 5 pm. The other guy just put his hands in the air and said he couldnt deal with it and walked away. Waited about 30 mins with 2 other customers and we all just left.
Good service and got a great deal on Goodyear tires. Super fast. Dropped the car off and got notified everything was done shortly after I got home.
I ordered tires thru the website. They mounted the tires but over inflated them. But what got rated down was the front desk was unfriendly and terse. I had questions and she just walked away. And afterwards, they didnt do something right with the paperwork and the website tried to refund the tires even tho I received the tires. Im not comfortable with this location.
Got a flat tire near the store. They gave me a new tire quickly and at a good cost
I was in and out. They fixed the hole in my tire at a fair price. Friendly service.
Website and in-store customer service insist the Auto Center is open until 7pm and that someone is here. No one answered phone from 6 pm until 7 pm. Customer Service in the store paged them. Door is locked and no one is here. Spent 45 minutes going back and forth between store and Auto Center entrance for nothing. Either store and website are wrong or someone got paid for sleeping at home

I have gone to this auto care center twice for routine maintenance items and oil changes, and have been astonished at the lack of customer service on both occasions. The staff (at least the staff at the service desk) are rude, impatient, and act like they have a million better things to be doing than their job. This includes if you happen to call them over the phone. They re also very limited when it comes to answering questions for you and expect that to be good enough. There were no issues at all (that I know of) with the actual work done on my vehicle. The customer service however makes me give an overall of 2 stars.
After 4 calls to Glenville Walmart s an associate has NEVER picked up on 0 .. It rang about 30 times all times and I hung up. Trying to reach automotive Department to see if you have something in stock. Got through to automotive on 5th try and my husband had a man checking on supply of a marine battery. He went to check and after waiting 20 minutes with your employee never coming back on the phone with an answer my husband hung up. We subsequently called Walmart s on Altamont Ave and got right through. As of 5:45 PM my husband is on his way to the Schenectady store to pick up what he needed. Glenville Walmart s, you either have a terrible phone system or lack of employees or care ..no stars for you. Tried to buy but no one there
Got a synthetic oil change & tire rotation. No bogus added charges for oil disposal, resetting TPMS! Much cheaper than the other big chains! Only problem is they are 1st come, first served, but car was ready when they said it would be.
Took 20 minutes to get someone to come help, then they didnt even know where to look for items needed.

The mechanics are really nice but the woman running the desk stated she basically ignored the phone from open until about 930 am. Im a bartender I understand opening a business and maybe running late but she was very rude about it and basically told me oh well. Mechanics did an amazing job on the car and had an amazing attitude to speak with:)
I had 185/70r14 tires mounted on Toyota wheels and was told ,after the fact, that they couldnt balance them! Well Ill just take them to another tire dealer and ask if they would mind balancing them. No big deal , I have all the time in the world!!!!!!

Go to a real shop. Went in to have a valve stem replaced. Pretty basic. Told me they cant do it because the tires are custom yet they sell these tires

They are honest and dont lie like altamont ave Walmart . and Scotia includes filters with price of oil change crooked a altamont Ave lies and says they change filter they dont and sloppy technic at their place too Luis miserable they need a new manager there that cares about customers

Got charged for tire balancing after tire mounting. They never balanced not even a single weight was put on. Took straight it to Midas where they were in disbelief. Won t recommend my worst enemies to get the car work on there.

I would give them NO stars if possible! DO NOT get tires from Walmart! We bought a brand new set of 4 tires on July 27th and paid for the warranty for the life of the tires. Tire popped on October 8th from a nail IN WALMART parking lot and we were told that the warranty no longer covered the tires as it was worn from supposed alignment damage. Funny how we also got an alignment right after the new tires were put on, so we basically paid for a 2 months warranty since apparently thats how long their tires last. I will literally NEVER buy tires from Walmart again!
