Mike is amazing! I woke up to a flat tire and just happen to live around the corner. I called at I swear 8:01am and Mike had me bring my car in within 10 minutes of them opening and I had my car back within 2 hours AND they fixed a bad sensor. Prior to the tire being flat my car was shaking like a polaroid picture so Im not sure if they did an alignment(I wasnt charged for one) but my car doesnt shake any more either!

This place is honest and will not sell you something you don t need. Their integrity is what will have me coming back and recommending them always.

I ran into a problem with spark plugs and they took me right in, even with a busy schedule & took care of me. They were quick & efficient. I appreciated the follow up text the next day to ensure everything was running smoothly and confirming no issues. I truly felt cared for at a place that at most garages they just want to get you in and out. I will send my car here anytime I have an issue or just need a simple tune up.

Ernies is the absolute best! In the past, taking my car to a mechanic always made me anxious. I always worried that they would pressure me into unnecessary repairs or overcharge me. But, then I found Ernies! My husband and I have gone for things large and small and Mike ALWAYS takes the time to explain to us what needs to be done and what can wait. They provide a reasonable estimate and stick to it and the car is always done when they say it will be. We are so glad we found a place we can trust!

I have been in my share of mechanics that are not female friendly (posters of girls in bikinis on the walls, ugh!). This place is NONE of that. I recently moved here and knew that I needed new brakes for my car. I figured Id have to do the usual song and diagnostic dance. This was the first place I called. They heard my concerns and trusted my judgement so much so that they immediately ordered the parts and had them ready before I even arrived for the repair, which made time fly by. The prices were fair for the work done and the staff are really funny. Youll feel comfortable there. Ill be making this my regular shop.

Google continuously lists shop hours wrong. The shop constantly updates with correct info. and Google changes to incorrect info. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM by appointment. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Quality is already in their name. Only garage I trust with my vehicles.

Scheduled an oil change for the next day and showed up a little early. They fit me in early and finished the job quickly without trying to upsell me for a bunch of other stuff, like a lot of big chains do.

I ve been to Ernie s on a couple occasions. First time to replace wheel bearings and second time to fix a problem where my key wouldn t come out of the ignition. They were able to solve the key in ignition problem that the dealer wasnt able to do. Very professional and very knowledgeable about vehicles. Definitely recommend!

Ive had my car into this shop on 2 occasions and both times I was very happy with the service I received. Price has been very reasonable and repairs have been done quickly on both occasions. The best part is they have never tried to tell me something needs to be fixed if it doesnt. This will be the only shop I will bring my cars to from now on.

I been to Ernies now twice and theyve been able to fix my 91 Corvette each time Ive brought it in... Not only were they willing to, because they have a very professional staff, they fit me in last month as soon as I was ready to have my Air conditioner serviced for the upcoming summer. Ive taken my car to three other places and they either werent willing to look at it or able to fix it... Then I found Ernies online and they got me right in and in 2 days diagnosed and repaired. Ive since been back this past Monday to have an electrical issue resolved and they found out right away what it was. They were efficient, knew what they were doing and got it fixed without charging me a substantial amount. I am very happy I found this place as it seems other places want to cherry pick what job the want to do. Thanks for all your help and you will get my service from here on out!!!!

I have been going to Ernie s for 22 years. When I first moved to Green Island, I needed to get an inspection done on my car and my neighbor recommended Earnie s. I ve been going to him ever since. If fact my daughter has heard me rave about the quality of the work and now she s been a loyal customer for about 10 years. Earnie s will work with your schedule to be able to get your car in and out at your convenience. In my case, although I only live 3 blocks away from his shop, I can t walk that far so I drive over and he has someone drive me home. When it s ready he calls me and sends someone over to pick me up so I can go back and settle up with him. I find all the people in he shop to be professional and courteous. I will stay with Ernie because he s the best in my estimation.

I bought a 2010 Caddy from Goldstein in Latham and it had a check engine light. The car was having a misfire and even with my warranty, I was getting no where. After being told it needed fuel injectors that those were back order for over 3 months with me having to start paying out of pocket to try and resolve the issue, I started going to ernies to try and get a different look at the situation. On the first try he had the right solution. He didn t believe it was a misfire but that the problem was a leak in my fuel system. He took my car apart and had it fixed a day later. Til this day I haven t seen my check engine light come on and trust it won t be

I was contacted by the garage the next morning letting me know what was wrong with my car & the plan to fix it & the price. Called at the last min for oil change because my daughters car was 2,000 overdue. Got us right in and then called with some safety issues like breaks and tires! They were extremely busy but finished our job that day! I ve always had great service!

Ernies has done multiple moderate to difficult jobs for us and has provided top notch every step of the way. They replaced an entire steering column on a 1995 Mustang GT and the job was spot on. They also did a perfect A++ job installing a water pump and thermostat on our BMW M235i. They are extremely knowledgable, prompt and keep you informed every step of the way. Their pricing is very reasonable and at no time did they try to upsell us on services that we did not need. The bottom line is that they are very professional and do great work at a great price. Highly recommended for American and Foreign car repairs.

A gentleman cried his car did not move because his transmission was ceasing he gave a guy bottle of ice water the old man stopped crying. It is the most sincere gestures I have ever seen. So far my experience here has been good. I was constantly having misfiring issues and my car would kind of stop. I have 2004 Jeep. They were able to address the issue after it was supposedly fixed somewhere else and I haven t had to go back in months. I felt like I was having issues with my car every five seconds, granted the weather may have been a contributor but it feels good to not worry about being stranded after visiting them. I was also sent a reminder to check my car and will be returning to do so! Will update my review as needed!

Best place in the Capital Region for auto care and repair. We have been going to Ernies for many years and the quality and care and service we get is always exceptional. Now my adult children all bring their vehicles to Ernies as well; when you find a great mechanic you stick with him! All you have to do is watch how many regulars and return customers he has and that speaks volumes about how his service builds customer trust and loyalty. The prices are reasonable, the service is prompt, sometimes while you wait; always in the same morning or same day service. Most importantly, in every vehicle Ernies take care of for our family, he takes the time to explain what is needed and when it is needed, and on the vehicles we own with dealership warranties, he always advises whether we really need the service or we do not, and he always looks for the best option for the customer, not just what is best for the dealership or the bottom line to the business, how are you going to beat that? You cant! In addition, if you need service he doesnt provide (body work, painting, etc.) he always knows someone who can do the work that he trusts and knows well enough to recommend with full confidence. Cant beat that! This shop is a place you can trust and depend on 100% - what a concept! Excellent service, price, and quality. Theyve been servicing my vehicles for as long as I can remember, and were the only shop we trusted to work on my Corvette and my wifes classic Mustang. Good, honest shops are hard to come by these days. Now that I live out of state that fact has become reality.

My Ford Ranger and Honda CRV, and my girlfriends Honda Civic, have been going to Ernies for the better part of a decade at this point. Mainly Ive dealt with Ernie (the owner) and Tom, both of who have been a pleasure to do business with. They do a great job of scheduling your appointment ahead of time, are always ready, do excellent work, and the work is always done timely, with a phone call when they have assessed the problem and then also as soon as it is done. MANY times the cost of the work or service my vehicles needed totaled well below what I expected. Their prices are more than fair, and if you think you need something done and its not the problem or you dont need it done, they will tell you that, saving you money! I d challenge you to try to find a more honest quality mechanic shop out there, but I dont like to waste peoples time. Skip the google searches and just take your vehicle to Ernies. You wont be disappointed.

After my car broke down on my way to a hike (yesterday), my husband called around to see where we could have AAA tow the car to. One place told us it would be days before they could work on my car... Thankfully, we got our car taken to Ernies! Ive never taken my car there before, but they took my car in and were happy to check it out. I got my car back in <24 hours (with the problem resolved) from the time we dropped it off. My money was well spent at Ernies. Id definitely go back for car repairs in the future!

I think their labor fei is a little expensive. I cost 44$ for engine check, extra 150$ for replace of two normal parts and another 15$ for light the charge outside of their place because i forgot off the light.

I went in on a Saturday for routine oil change and had mentioned during my appt set up that my van smelled like gasoline fumes whenever it was running. My appt. was at 11am and there was only 1 guy there - John I believe and he was going to need to order a part and asked if I could come back in the next few days with the van. This was the week of Thanksgiving and we all know how busy we all and he saw the look on my face when he asked if I could come back. A single Mom with not a lot of help and he could tell having to arrange that would be a hardship, so he ordered the part and got it fixed and couldnt really close at 1pm for my servicing needs put him a bit behind. Ernies shop always goes above and beyond!!!
