This is a family run business that makes you part of the family after your first time there. I have been going to Richie for many years and my mom before me. Richie always treated my mom as I would a true gentleman. The work is always done right and pricing fair. Anthony at the front counter is friendly and knowledgeable. Give these guys a chance to make you happy. Old school ethics is a lost thing in most businesss but not forgotten at MTA.

Great service honest and reliable !!!

Came in after I took my car to BMW service department around November. They had told me I needed new breaks and an alignment for over 800 with alignment. I dropped my car off four months later to do this preventative maintenance and they told me my car did not require any of this work, put everything back together and didn t charge me. Happy I found this place and will be going back.

Rude manager

I called Rich at 3pm the other day with a issue with my car. The exhaust was ripped off during transport. We called him and he got it repaired the next day for us. He repaired the exhaust instead of just trying to order new parts to make it easy on him and his employees. He really went out of his way to keep cost down and gain a customer for life. Thanks Rich!

The only mechanic I ve never had an issue with! I ve used Rich at MTA Auto for a couple years now and even when he was gone this past week his son Anthony took over and did a great job! 10/10 always quick and professional.

My car was completely crippled, it was un drivable.. if it wasnt stahling out, it couldnt get out of its own way.. I racked my brain trying to figure out the issue myself and it was just Way out of My League..since Ive had the car it has never gotten good gas mileage and anytime I would get on the gas Id detect a funny smell.. Richie has known my family for years and just has the years of experience that you only aquire with time in the business. The staff is very knowledgeable as well .. he pinpointed the issue as well as an unrelated issue and after thinking about it for a little while it made sense to why the car got such poor gas mileage.. they gave me an excellent very honest and fair price.. anytime I use any small business locally if Im treated right I always like to let others know and try and support them.. thanks again MTA

If youve ever needed an honest, reliable mechanic, then MTA is definitely the place to go! Rich has been an absolute staple of this community for years. They are always busy, which is a true sign of the innate trust & reputation that theyve well-earned over the many, many years in business. Unlike many shady mechanics out there, hell never try to upsell you to generate more business. He doesnt need to. Also, his guys are great. I only wish that I would have found him sooner. Hes well worth the extra 10-15 min drive. Love him!

If you wish to get robbed this is the place. Went in with a jeep wobble 800 dollars latter still had the problem wanted to charge me more for parts. Looked up the part they did chang it was 209. I was there twice same problem. Never again

I brought my Mercedes SUV in for a dead battery and A broken passenger seat (Which the battery is Inconveniently located under the passenger seat) and Holbrook MTA literally had it done in under a few hours For a reasonable amount. The owner is super chill and the staff is awesome as well. When I was leaving, I requested a quote for additional minor repairs to my seatbelt, air vent caps and window control Unit..... literally within 5 minutes... I had a text message with the prices. Love this place!!! Definitely my new shop!!!! Thanks Richie and staff!!!!!!

Great mechanic shop Very honest people and great quality

Horrible!! Took car in for simple inspection. Commited it would be done and ask two look at a couple minor issues. Wanted to keep 3 days. And then the old man flipped out cursing when I wanted it back. Very unprofessional and rude. It is not the same since the son left.

Great local auto repair shop.. do very solid work for a great prices, family run business theyve been there for over 30 years. Definitely a top spot in holbrook/holtsville. Call and ask for Richie and he will take care of you. The biggest thing with mechanic shops is trust and MTA do what they say and get it done on time.

I have been going here for years. I have recommended this place to countless people. They are honest which is a true value to find. I have gone to other shops for issues that came up when they were closed. I have always regretted it. Often needing to get it done right by this shop latter.

Excellent honest service.

Would give zero stars if I could. Brought my car in on a Friday morning and was told that it would be looked at before the end of the day. Called late in the day and was told theyd have time on Monday. Two weeks went by before I was told that they didnt know what was wrong with it.

Work was satisfactory but when time to pay keys were dropped on counter from guy holding arm high completely disregarding my open hand looking at me. Was very busy atm there but gives no excuse for unfriendly service. For this alone Ill never go back even though is conveniently close to me & a busy place.

Not a good business person does terrible work I have customers that have gone to him and lends your car to his workers to drive and charges for things you dont need also a very nasty individual to deal with
